"Kyo I was able to get you a tablet that has a type to text feature." The housekeeper handed to him. "Maybe you would like to you it now? Just type the song and push speak when the others begin."

Kyo looked up at the housekeeper with a surprised look on his face, which soon morphed into a huge grin. He accepted the tablet with a nod and started searching for the way to access the feature. Within a few seconds, he had his first message typed out.

"Thank you."
He gave an odd look at the female voice that came out and started messing with the settings until he found a male voice option with a British accent. Much better.

She smiles back and just as she was about to shrug as into say I'm sorry the house keeper gives him the tablet. She smiles and nods before whispering to him quickly "That was good timing.." Melody sees Mellisa and smiles at her before Keegan comes down. She giggles at his words and let's someone else.explain it.

Kyo nodded at Melody's remark and smiled back. That really had been convenient. Since this seemed like a good opportunity to try out the new voice, he turned to Keegan and started typing again. "Today is Melody's birthday."

"Whoa, dude! You stole her birthday present!" Replies Keegan, obviously not getting that Kyo was given the Tablet by the Housekeeper and not stolen it. "The worst part is there ain't even a present for the birthday girl! Like what the hell, guys?" Keegan sighs and rushes off upstairs.

"He...has way too much energy..." Melissa remarks with a sigh. "No doubt he's out to get you something... Say, Melody, what's something you've always wanted?" Asks Melissa.

As if realizing something when Keegan spoke about birthday presents Alex realizes he had nothing to give her as well. "Wait....hold that thought" Alex said a he took off shortly after Keegan did darting upstairs as fast as he could. He stumbles half way up and almost falls back down the stairs but he uses his hands to catch the railing before continuing to dart up the stairs.

Kyo stared at the boy, confused. He did have a point, though: Presents on someone's birthday were customary. Was there something he could give her? The dark haired boy thought about it for a minute. There had to be something...

"Children!" The housekeeper called after them. "Everyone be assured that I have already thought about presents for Melody. But lets eat breakfast first."

Melody looks around at people worrying about presents. She didn't need presents. Just them being there was enough. She sighed oh well She nodded at the suggestion of breakfast before turning to answer Melissa's question.

... Just as Keegan had, quite literally, tumbled down. "I'm up! I'm up! I'm fffff- actually, I won't finish that quote..." He dusts himself off and shrugs, feeling inside his jumper pocket. "Ah, here it is! It ain't much, but it's somethin'." And out from his jumper he reveals a rather pretty-looking gem. Under different circumstances of light, it changes colours, though is generally a red or purple colour, from what one could tell. "Been working on this little bugger for years! It's real, pretty valuable, and made from the freshly refined atoms of yours truly! You don't need to like it. You don't gotta keep it. You know why? Because it's yours! You can do whatever you want with it!" He exclaims, handing it to Melody.

"As I was trying to say before you took off Keegan." The housekeeper snapped. "I have already taken care of presents. We will be going to town to purchase Melody something. Each of you will be give $50 dollars to buy her something."

Rina giggled to herself, a bit excited. In her head, she thought about what kind of present to get for Melody. "She was such a shy girl, and they'd just met, so hopefully a present for her would help break whatever remaining ice between them.

"You're claiming to be her uncle now?" Melissa giggles a little. "What does that make me? The aunty?"

"Heck no! You're the grandma!"

Melissa punches Keegan across the shoulder, both chuckling.

She takes off the paper and looks at it for a couple of seconds before closing her fist and going up to the housekeeper. "Urm.. May I pop to my room quickly?..." She says showing her the gift. A little gold locket. "I want to get a picture...."

"Of course you may." The housekeeper told her. She began handing each teen a plate ful of pancakes

Alastair arrived at the new orphanage apparently after one accident where a robber was killed by having his life force taken out of him gets you moved to a new orphanage they said this one would better suit me that it would have people like me Alastair thought you himself. As he walked up the stairs toward the door, giving the door a few knocks so he would be let inside.

Of course Alex had been stopped once he heard the housekeeper speak. He then had watched Keegan tumble down the stairs but when he went to check on Keegan he was already on his feet again. He walked back down the stairs and rejoined the group seeing what Keegan gave Melody.

He felt bad to some extent until he heard the housekeeper announce what they were going to do today. Now that he thought about it was probably a better idea to go with now that he thought about it but still.....

Melody comes back down the stairs wearing her new locket and sees the housekeeper at the door. She enters the dining room sitting into her seat and starts eating the pancakes in her seat slowly

Kyo set aside the tablet and started eating the pancakes in front of him. Pancakes were always really nice...
As he ate, he thought about what kind of present Melody would like, though that proved rather difficult since he had only met her the day before.
