Looking around another shadow grasped at her leg and she slapped it again. Seeing a boy looking around she took a few steps away from the shadows to the boy " Hello, I'm Anna nice to meet you." She said holding a hand out a few strands of darkness creeping close to her foot but then shrinking back as she started talking. " I was afraid I wouldn't find anyone."

Kyo accepted her hand, shaking it for a moment before letting it go in favor of taking the pencil and paper from his pocket.

Hello. I am Kyo. Did you arrive recently?

His eyes darted toward the shadows occasionally. What were those?

" yes I did.." She wondered why he didn't speak but thought better of asking. " don't worry about those " she said kicking back to the corner pushing back the shadows " just shadows who seem to like me, oh did I forget I can control shadows and use them as transportation and hiding that why you may have not seen me before. " She said in a bit of a rush.

Kyo looked at the shadows a bit warily for a moment longer, but soon calmed down and turned back to Anna.

I see. Class is going to start soon, I think. Are you going there, too?

Keegan and Melissa seemed somewhat amazed at the place and it's inhabitants as they made their way towards life skills, following the housekeepers instructions.

Allen shyly reached over and took her hand. He closed his eyes and reached his mind out to her. There was a click and if she opened her mind images would flow into her mind. As long as Allen held her hand, it would be like she was looking out through his eyes.

"Come along children." The housekeeper lead them upstairs to a room that had several small kitchens set up. "Choose a partner and take a station."

" it seems we are " she's leaned back into the shadows that were grasping at her and emerged in a shady spot in the same room as the house keeper. Well partners who could I work well with hmm I know.
Smirking like she had a plan she found a station with a seat in the darkness and sat down a figure mimicking her shape sitting next to her seeming to have a polite conversation with her thou it was silent. Keeping quite she hoped the house keeper wouldn't notice that the person next to her was just a defined shadow of herself.

Alec and Allen helped Katherin into the room and Allen lead her over to a station. He bit his lip as he looked up at the girl. "W-Wanna be p-partners?" He asked shyly as Alec looked around for someone to be his partner.

She looked at the kitchen, and then realized that she didn't have an actual partner. Damn. She felt like she was that one student at a prom that didn't have a date and was publicly humiliated for it.

Kyo watched Anna vanish into the shadows, but quickly went on his way after. He didn't want the lesson to start without him.
As soon as he entered the room, he could see some of the others pairing up at the kitchen stations. Would they be cooking something? That might be interesting, actually.

Melissa and Keegan look at each other and nod.
"Partner?" Asks Keegan, a grin spreading across his face.
"Partner." Melissa replies, and the two look back at the housekeeper.

Allen grinned and gently lead Katherin over to a seat and helped her sit down before taking a seat himself.

Hiding was a option too so she puffed a small cloud of the dark mist so it surrounded her letting people still see her if they tried.

Seeing that the others all seemed to have partners already, Kyo started to make his way over to an empty station. No, wait, someone was already there, it seemed. Anna, he remembered, though he had just met her barely even a couple of minutes ago. Some sort of mist was surrounding her, though, or was that actually there? He wasn't sure.

Chip took a station by himself. It seemed that everyone had already gotten a partner, so he was going to work alone at his own station.

Josephine looked around for a partner. It looked as if almost everyone had found one except for her, but then she spotted a boy at a station alone. She thought she heard him introducing himself at the breakfast table earlier, his name was Chad. Wait, maybe it was Chip. She couldn't remember. Jo walked nervously over to the station, and put on a smile. "Hey, I'm Jo," she said, "If you don't mind, can we be partners?"
