I hope there's still an opportunity to join, I would love a SS13-based RP.

I hope it's not dying. -_- I hope people just needed a bit of a break and get super active. But new people work, too. It'll keep things going if we get new people, and older people get active again~
(I'm sure it'll get better when I'm not the center of attention, too)

You need to make everyone in the RP to post at least once a day. That should make any RP not die. Maybe.

Well the problem there is that people will be pretty unhappy if I force em to post every day.

I would be very unhappy. It would likely have the opposite effect.

Well, you have to balance hapiness and making sure that the RP moves along. Usually, if they love the subject, theyre not prone to leave if forced to post once a day. The only problem is not everyone has time to do it... How would you guys feel about having to post every other day? Or are your shedules unreliable? I'm open to either.

I plan on participating (and have been), but being forced to post once a day would make me leave, as much as I like the RP. Even once every other day is taxing, and could, theoretically, make me lose interest even faster. Any obligation takes away from the fun, so it's not "balancing happiness and making sure the RP goes on," it's just reducing the desire to make the RP go on, as it becomes a chore.

But I do plan on staying in the RP otherwise.

The way I see it, no matter how into an RP people are, if one person becomes inactive, it usually goes down-hill quick, so that's why I suggested a daily post requirement. But I guess there are 2 kinds of people when it comes to roleplaying, and it's a vicious cycle...

Aaaaaaaaanyway, I'll try my best to get a CS up later tonight, or maybe tomorrow.

More than that. There are the people who are completely unmotivated. There are people who aggressively oppose people who don't match their activity...

CS
Name: Matt Drake
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Age: 25
Personality: Very friendly and social, knows many social values, but at times can be very serious, and actually quite likes to be alone more. Most people think he's cool to hang around which is mostly why he rathers be alone. Usually he spends most of his time alone learning, and is quite inteligent.
Job: Chef.
Past Job(s): Chef on other space stations and crafts, and before that, an Earthian Chef.
Advantage: Amazing chef. Also knows the anatomy of all common races and the best way to slice them up (if it comes to that).
Disability: Can be short tempered and has to wear glasses/contacts (almost always contacts).
Bio: Lived life like a regular human on Earth, from childhood to adulthood, but the one thing that stayed with him, that separated him from others, was his passion for cooking, and desire to go to space.
He earned many awards for cooking on Earth, which only fueled him with money, and desire to go to space. Only a year before did he actually achieve this goal, cooking in space, as he hopped from many careers being a chef in different space-transportation. He learned quite a few things. Especially how hectic it can get on a space station.
Reason for joining the station: Loves space. Loves cooking. Got cooking job in space.
Other: What can I say. Cooking in space.

(Also, I can put much more details in this CS, but I wanted to put this out so I could start ASAP)

The advantage of knowing anatomy of ALL races needs to be dropped. I mean even so, if you want to make up a race or two that he knows then whatever. Other then that it is good, I mean seriously. He took the time memorizing the anatomy of every common creature or race in the universe I can think about it but you would need to be a doctor for that.

I think I clarified in my post, he knows the anatomy of all common races, so the top 5 types of races (humanoid, plant-like, etc.) (top 5 types in order of population) or so, so he doesn't know every anatomy, he just knows everything on all the basic races.

Alright, this is boring. Is this just gonna die, or is there gonna be a re-boot?
