Given this is a world where anyone and everyone either wears left overs from the old world, a patchwork of odds and ends, or brahmin-hide then I can see it being easy to think of anyone as being a wanna-be gunslinger, some rugged caravaneer, or settler. Simply looking like a gunslinger from a spaghetti western doesn't make you look any different from anyone else, not in the way I figure everyone here wants to be. And given everyone's rocking the leather protection look...

It would be more stunning if he came in with faction armor, power armor, skimpy raider armor, or a suit.

Fair point. Still, packing some fairly serious heat and and a flak vest probably says 'Merc' more than settler...eh, maybe I'm just being uppity.

He's covered in filth, he's wearing rags, he appears sunburnt - he is virtually indistinguishable from a settler. :P

I did check the description for his clothes as well, but other than the tactical vest it seems pretty regular. I suppose the picture itself may have biased my conclusion though. It just went with the mental picture I already had drawn up.

What is he supposed to look like, if not a settler? A Brahmin Baron? A High-Roller? What impression do you have in mind when you think of him?

Sawn off shotgun and a five-shooter, right (It always bothered me that Vegas revolvers usually only had five cylinders)? That's not an unusual loadout for caravan merchants or town regulars in a place like Primm.

In any case: I am now taking bets on how many times Poe needs to whack Sabin with this in order to kill him. Seeing as Sabin will have been tossed over a modestly high balcony he may or may not be temporarily disoriented, Poe will not particularly prioritize aiming for his head but will not make a point of avoiding it. Assume each whack is equivalent to a 'grand slam' VATS attack on an unaware opponent.
