I have a lot of plans for the Blue Line once we get to it, so for the Green Line I'd like to see the really big plans everyone else has - and I'll add some flavor and accessory features where possible.

Yeah, the end of the Green Line is going to be a marathon of cities, so we'll need to be interesting and fresh. Some stuff has canon, like Pittsburgh and Chicago, and I know we already have some plans for New York. But there is still Detroit, Cleveland, and Philly we'll need to flesh out as well.

Here's some ideas off the top of my head that might be fun:
-Wild brahmin herds, big nomadic offspring of Montana's current day cattle ranches led by buff ass "bullmin" who constantly clash over grazing territory
-Big ass yetis from North Dakota to Minnesota living off the unkempt moose and deer populations
-Lake Superiour's levies were all sabotaged and Wisconsin is partially flooded, Chinese spy feral ghouls in the dams' mechanisms from the Great War
-Concrete Jungle, trees growing through the sidewalks, everything just picked clean in Michigan since it's already been looted and left for dead as is. Ironically barren in its lushness. The only actual usable stuff is owned by the outcasts of the yetis who wear car parts as armour and carry axels as clubs

Also: I just asked my friend who lives in Portland and he said all the buildings are like one to two stories tall and there are like fourteen bridges across the river in the middle of the town which sounds to me like a perfect excuse to have "jumpers", basically parkour mutants who move quickly across the roof tops and bridges by bounding through the city. North of that is Beavertown (mutant beavers!) and South is all the hipster organic chicken farms (mutant chickens!) Alternatively, Vegan Wastelander Coalition.

The trolley levitates above the ground due to the electromagnetic fields generated by the UNDERGROUND "rail". We'll be traveling across the surface, not under it. Sorry for any confusion.

My point is still valid regardless... a building or something falls on the rail we'd still splat into it if there isn't an emergency stop

Sorry Lone, good point, I totally forgot about that. I guess since your character isn't specifically a doctor it slipped my mind. Between Hayley and Ellie we should be good then medically, though I'd still be happy to have a full on M.D. on board for major surgeries. Or maybe like a survivalist/holistic healer type to help make use of local flora for medicines. Either way though, thanks for pointing that out to me, I totally would have forgotten otherwise.
As for the obstruction issue, I was gonna save this for when I introduce the trolley, but we can just do it now.
Basically, the trolley is going to be 4 trains long. The front train is the control room/war room. On the "face" of the trolley is going to be a large cattle catcher to move smaller obstructions. For larger obstructions, the trolley has a built in proximity detection system to bring it to a slow in the event of a catastrophic collision. So, if a building did fall over the tracks, the proximity sensor would bring the train to a stop, and then we'd use Scrap and Poe to probably just blow holes through it while everyone else worked security/investigated the area.
The 2nd trolley (which is actually a retcon now that I'm looking back at it) is going to be bunks. Basically a gutted trolley car with bunks along the walls and a long table through the center with folding chairs stacked in the corners to save space.
The third car is research and manufacturing, where certain advanced machines needed by Poe and Hayley will be housed, as well as reloaders, workbenches, and tool cabinets.
The final car is storage. Basically a place for equipment, bags, salvage, prisoners, bulk ammo, etc.
The train will have gatling lasers mounted to roof of the top and rear cars. Windows in the cars slide open and can be fired from in the event hostiles pursue the train or attack it's sides. Tenpenny has ensured the train's sides were reinforced to be bullet and explosion resistant. It's not invincible.
I think that's all I had for the train. I'll edit if I think of anything else. If anyone else has interesting ideas for the train, feel free to throw in.

I guess I'll be patrolling or building stuff in car three at night, since robots don't sleep. Not sure what the robots in fallout are powered by. Fission batteries perhaps?
Will car four have enough room to haul salvage? I assume so, but as I want to build a high-precision claw (basically handtools built in) and other things, it would be good.

It occurs to me I may not have been entirely clear as to how scrap do what he do. The parts obviously don't speak to him, he merely projects his own emotions onto them and his thus he crafts items from them his subconscious deems useful in any given situation. For example the bottle cap Dallas dropped that Scrap was seen coddling was his reaction to being surrounded by strange and accusing humans and needing Haylee to reassure him of his place there.
This is also why, thought the reason alludes dear Scrap, the majority of his parts want to hurt others and are subsequently why his expertise lies in weaponry.
