Penny

"I'm a bitch, get over it" Penny said with annoyance at the muttered comments. Penny didn't particular care about that. She knew she could be...mean. A little offensive. She didn't care. "I spent six years looking for my sister. Nothing would have stopped me, not being imprisoned. You're just a coward"

She stalked out the place, feeling that she had reached the end of Mayt's mothers tether. She wouldn't want to harm her, if his mother thought to attack her. She started back to the guild, the sun setting, darkness starting to fall. Her expression was dark, her stride long, powerful as she ate up the ground with angry steps.

She thought on her mother, Sasha's mother, leaving her with strangers, people she probably thought were good, kind, caring people. Her adoptive mother had been, her adoptive father nasty, abusive after a few years. Penny grew up hating people, because they couldn't see what was right in front of them, or they were too cowardice to do anything about it. Although her perception of people had changed, somewhat, on that dreadful night, when she was 16.

When she killed her father, those hunting her for her use of magic had been duped as the villagers spirited her to safety. She had had the clothes on her back, and that was it, but the villagers had protected her when it really mattered. And then there was Solias, his warmth and kindness had helped more then anything else.

And then there was the guild. Her thoughts drifted, as she thought on that. She might have just been searching for Sasha, she hadn't expected to find so many other people to care about. Part of her felt that that made her more vulnerable, the other part craved it. Which was why she just couldn't understand how anyone could...leave someone that they were supposed to care about.

When she reached the guild, she simple sank down on the steps leading to the door, and sighed as she let her thoughts swarm her, not wishing to deal with the whole guild right now. .

Nero – the Guild Hall

Pleased that Ayame seemed hyped for his suggestion, Nero rose to his feet, already ready to go. “Indeed!” he affirmed as he scooped his coins into his pouch, nestling them against the plush of the Horned One for safekeeping. “Every day is a special occasion, because being alive is special! It's important to try and live life fully while you still have it...you know?” Nero suppressed any hint of wistfulness in his voice. Fortunately, the little girl's next comment reeled him back from introspection. “Stealing? Hardly! I give them money, they give me my stuff. Red said I earned this money by helping out the ice queen on her job. That's good enough for me!”

A few steps had already been taken before the dark mage realized that his shadow was, for once, devoid of Ayame. Puzzled, he turned back to find her unmoved and strangely reluctant. Nero raised an inquisitive eyebrow at her declaration. “Truly?” Some light was shed, however, as Ayame's stomach gave her away. Why would the child lie to him? Was she tired of being his friend? For a moment, Nero adopted a downcast turn of his eyes, and his smile became more indicative of masked pain. “Ah..no problem! Takes a little while to get used to me, I know. I'll, uh, go and get something on my own. See you later!” Waving, Nero turned around and sauntered out of the guild hall, into the growing dusk. He walked slowly, more burdened by fatigue and stress than he would have liked to admit, but also so that Ayame could follow him if she changed her mind.

In truth, Nero wasn't very hungry. Living off so little for so long had hardened his appetite, so the carrots and other snacks from an hour ago filled him pretty well. Instead, he looked for something else. Making a beeline for the edge of Magnolia, he exited the city and walked a hundred feet or so up the nearest hill. After finding a sheltered spot beneath a tree, he unzipped his pouch and dug around in it for a small sheet of cloth. He threw this down on the ground, and held out his hands, enacting a curse upon it. The Law of Escalation caused the cloth to grow in size by nearly fifty times. When it touched the ground, Nero employed his Law of Embodiment to transform the soil in the immediate area into a woven material identical to the cloth of the sheet. The dark mage removed his cloak and his amulet, wrapping the former around the latter several times until it resembled a purple pillow. Without further ado, Nero slipped in between the fabric ground and the new blanket, placing his head upon the pillow. All this was executed with a practiced hand; clearly, this routine had been performed often. Relaxed now, Nero sighed and removed his pouch and then his glasses, placing the latter inside the former and setting them both among the tree's roots. He lay flat on his back, looking with blurry eyes at the final rays of the setting sun.

Ariel
While she didn't know who Karn was she smiled anyhow. "Well, glad I could help out a bunch of people." Sitting back a bit to relax she didn't have the same level of energy as before. Her attitude was still bright though and she glanced at the new arrival.

If Ariel had not already met the cat man Amelia's appearance might have been more of a shock. It was very unique though. No what she noticed more was the powerful magic that the young girl had. What exactly it was she could not quite place, it was an enigma. Despite that she smiled and leaned down a bit, keeping her voice low and soft. "Hello there. My name is Ariel. It's good to meet you."

Grane Falo and Wes Terra

Location: somewhere.

"From what my scanner is saying. This should be the spot." Wes Terra, the Magic Council's lead scientist was watching over a hill as various rune knights and scientists were scoping the area around for any signs of tracks or clue as to what happened and who was here.

Grane walked from behind and surveyed the surrounding with his eagle vision and powerful sense of smell for anything familiar. "Another remarkable job Wes, as always. I didn't think your scanner could differentiate abnormal ethernano levels from that of edolas's levels."

"Perhaps you should show a bit more faith in me. Most of the Council latest breakthroughs are from me after all. Also, the ethernano levels here match the ones back at Kapo when I fired the anima. So it wasn't to difficult." Scratching his head and examining the land, he didn't have much left to say. "Sadly the ethernano level here is slowly reverting back to normal. So finding out who came out of it and where they went might prove to be difficult now that the tracks are almost faded."

With a heavy sigh, the dragon man could only guess for the time being as to what might of happened here. "The nearest town from here is Magnolia, but it's quite the distance to travel. Although, I did pick up some faint scent of those guild members that got struck by the anima. Chances are, those Phoenix Wing members are back. I could try chatting with them, but I believe Janice went there today to discuss the guild's actions a few days ago." Staring out into the sunset, Grane could only really think about one thing. Shutler, where and what is he doing now.

Ayame

Phoenix Wing

Nero

Nero was still gonna use Penny's coins that were on the bar, it wasn't that much for him but Ayame would have protected it with her life if she ever found such a thing on street. He claimed the money was his now and it could have been true that Nero indeed earned it from the job but she still didn't feel sure about that fact. He was now even trying to lecture her that it wasn't stealing but doing a good deed. Her soft voice replied to him "I quess" she gave a shrug at the same time and averted her eyes a little.

She kept standing on the same spot for a while, while Nero was making his way over to the door. She gave him a sad puppy look face as Nero noticed Ayame was lying to him she didn't do the face by accident but it kight have upsetted him a tiny bit. It seemed that Nero had misjudged to why she was lying. Ayame didn't want to use the money for food because she still believed a full one hundred procent that thr money was from him. The happy face of Nero suddenly faded and became a pained sad one. She blankly stared at him for a few moments hearing what he had to say and her face also turned sad. She still tried to softly mutter a few things to him before he was leaving "N-no I didn't mean it that way..." but he was already gone. She ran out of the door with her hands clutched to her chest and hastily turned towards Nero his back that was slowly disapearing in the distance. She could only reach out for him but she couldn't open her mouth and just stood there watching him walk off into the city. She dropped her back against the wall behind her and slowly made herself slide down to a sitting position. Maybe she should have just agreed to him and go out to eat with him. Her head slowly dropped against the wall. She was able to see the orange sky slowly passing by over her head as she took some alone time and started thinking about him and what she did some more as her lips began moving. It wasn't talking but singing. Very very soft singing.

https://youtu.be/4XsHqpjjYvI

After an hour or so she stood up again and forced herself to go back home. Her walking was slow and her head was still hanging down, sulking in the process. Her feet were slowly dragging her back to her home. It only looked like a little bit to walk but it had already taken an hour before she reached the entrance. She plunged down on her self made bed and hugged her only plushie tightly. There was this empty feeling inside of her. She rolled around a few times not being able to close an eye. She looked up at the ceiling and blinked a few times before everything became hazy. She felt small drips of water running down her cheeks "He, funny there is a leak in the roof." She smiled and pressed the plushie tightly against her face. Maybe she was finally able to make friends after all. She had to go eat his hard earned food now, to make up with him. She smiled once more whipping the tears from her eyes and slowly nodded off into sleep.

Prince
Fiore || Magnolia || Phoenix Wing Guild

@t2wave @Joshua Tamashii

Prince chuckled as Elyse practically pouted and continued her meal, before his one eye watched the winged girl slowly come over. Not saying anything, and nerves were basically radiating off of her. How cute. Ariel was the one to greet the shy little girl and he grinned a little.

"You can call me Prince. Aren't such a charmer? Or am I scary for you pretty lady?" Prince grinned, not hesitating to move from his spot to sit beside Amelia, ears twitching with a wide smile as his tall figure towered over everyone at the table.

Jarvis

Jarvis nodded, but said "Dragon slayer magic isn't something that can be taught by another slayer. Its taught through dragons, so you won't have to worry about teaching it. Anyway, we can keep it on the down low, if you wish" As trintiy called out for him, Jarvis couldn't help a groan.

"Thank you for telling me. I should move on, before the whole guild wants me" he said, wondering why Jamie dealt with all of this. He rose, and went to the door, "What is it, Trinity?" He asked

Collab for Sasha and Lazarus

Sasha was tired, and sad, her anger long gone now as she tried to figure out the next step. She knew she was taking a huge risk, and yet, how could she not? There was the chance that Liana here was nothing like the Edolas Liana, and yet...from what she had seen in Edolas, there was just enough of their Earthland counterparts in them.

So she had to try. She couldn't let Lazarus simply be judged by people who already considered it a slam dunk. She sighed, foguring that it was too late to g bug the queen, and instead said "Master Jamie has safe havens all over Fiore, remember? We can find one of the inns that will protect us if need be. We need rest and food" her voice was weary, and indeed it looked like she might just fall over there.

She tried to remember, but to no result. Perhaps Jarvis was listening, or just figured that they needed help, for he sent through the communication Lacrima the information they needed. Gratefully, Sasha headed to the closest inn, knowing it would be better to get out of the open as soon as possible. She didn't say anything else to Lazarus, not knowing what to say anymore, hurting more then she ever had. She took whatever room was avaliable, but the inn keeper have them the room Jamie would have been given, quite large which was good. She stared at the steps, wondering if she had the energy to climb them

Lazarus didn't say anything for a while. "Yeah... Jamie was that kind of leader." He smiled a little, thinking to himself, before returning to his glum posture. They made it inside an inn, where they would wait until morning. He had been solent for quite some time, until they came to some steps and stopped. "Chances are, Liana wont be like the one we met in Edolas. You know that right? I've heard rumours... that instead of jailing wizards, those that confess have a chance to prove themselves at the grande magic games for their guild. I have no idea what kind of monarch would allow that, but it doesn't like the Liana we know." He sighed, and nudged Sasha onto the first step. He was quiet again, but only briefly. Off topic, he blurted out, "You said you loved me." He paused, not knowing what to say. "Do you feel the same way, even knowing about the things I have done, the people I have hurt?" He rushed to ask. "It's important."

"I know, I know that chances are she's not like the Liana we know. It was the only thing I could think of. He would have killed you, and said it was an accident. She rubbed her eyes like a little kid, stepping onto the step when Lazarus nudged her.

She blinked as he changed the topic, saying that she had said she loved him. She bit her lip, and felt her cheeks redden with a blush. She didn't know how to respond. It wasn't just that she was tired, but that it was difficult to put what she felt into words.

"yes" She said softly, "I do. I can't say why, or anything, but...i do." She said, glancing to him

He looked sideways, awkward. "I dont have the right to say such things to you. I barely have the right to look you in the eye right now." He quivered. "When I has hit with that spell back in the guild, I heard them. All of them begging for mercy, their dying emotions screeched through my blood. The pain was... it was unbearable." He paused. "I am a dangerous man Sasha... I will not beg Liana for forgiveness, but I do promise I will accept whatever sentence I am given, whether it be locked away, or be pardoned." He felt cold. "I owe you that." He placed his hands on her hips and nudged her up the next step, before letting go. "I am exhausted."

Sasha sighed, looking up the steps, thinking. But she was so tired. She leaned against the wall. "Why is it that Men think killing people on battle is more honorable then just killing people? Do you imagine people that have been in wars feel guilty? Probably not, because they think it's what they were told to do. You're already better then them. You feel guilt, and remorse." She was silent for another moment, "everyone can be dangerous, in the right circumstances. I imagine if you had been given support, rather than critism, then you wouldn't have done those things.

We all have evil in our hearts. But we also have goodness. You chose a different path. You joined Phoenix Wing. You trusted Jamie to believe in you, and I doubt that she regretted that. The different between being evil and not being evil is regret, guilt, remorse. You know their pain, and that, I think, is punishment enough."

She pushed off from the wall, and continued up the steps, stumbling somewhat. "I don't need words. I don't need a declaration of love. I just know that every single time you nearly lost control with your God slaying magic...you didn't, because you reacted to me." She pushed on the door to the room they had been given. "You're a good person, Lazarus."

He had to make sure she understood. "It wasn't criticism Sasha. I was young, reckless. I wanted more power than I could get learning their basic magic. I was a black heart, cruel man back then." He listened to what else she had to say, but it didn't relieve him of his pain. He still bore the lives of all those people on his shoulders. He simply replied with. "...Yeah." He waited for her to open to door and followed her in. The room was big, but it wasn't a twin room. "I'll take the chair." He pointed to a small armchair in the corner, giving her the double bed to herself. He slumped down, exhausted.

Sasha sighed heavily, too weary to continue on this talk. "And you are not know. That's all that matters, for now" she shut the door, and then just slid down it, to rest on the floor for a time. She closed her eyes, leaning her head back, shaking with the exertion, and with a complete lack of energy.

She had to hope no one would find them, because she doubtes she's be able to get up of the floor. After a moment, she bowed her head, dropping it into her hands. She didn't know what she would do, if this risk proved to be too much. If Loana imprisoned Lazarus.

She didn't want to think on it, and yet, she couldn't stop herself. She sighed, knowing she probably wouldn't sleep, too many thoughts and feelings swarming her. She made no move to get up, just stayed where she was.

A few hours had passed, and neither of them had said a word. He lifted his head lazily. "Hey... wake up." She probably wasn't asleep, but he wanted her attention. "Get in the bed before I carry you there myself." He grunted. Just because his history had come out, it didnt change what kind of a man Lazarus had become, nor had it changed his feelings towards Sasha. He forced his legs to work and pushed himself to a stand. "You aren't sleeping on the floor. Now get up you fool." He slowly walked over, her saying nothing. He tighened his core, before bending down and lifting her from the floor, cradling her. His legs shook from exhaustion, but her turned, and walked her to the bed, gently laying her down. "now... don't go getting daft on me girl." He sighed, before his legs buckled. "It seems this is as far as im going today. He sat beside the bed, and let his head rest against the side of the mattress.

Sasha gave a squeak as Lazarus picked her up, she would have just been happy by the door. She doubted she would have slept, and although the bed was comfy and inviting, she hadn't minded being by the door, paranoid.

She clutched at Lazarus, and only reluctantly let go when he put her down. She shifted, to the end of the bed, curling up by Lazarus, she still didn't sleep. It wasn't that she didn't need sleep, she knew she did. She just didn't want to sleep. She sighed softly, glancing at the window, as the sky darkened and lightened. When it was early enough, she rose, darting downstairs to grab some food, and returning in moments, putting it all on a table.

"We should eat, and then head out" She said softly, running her fingers through her hair, to get rid of any tangles, as she tried to think on what to do.

Lazarus had slept somewhat that night, only it was in and out, and not very pleasant. He woke to the chirping of the birds. Life was beautiful. He hated himself for the things he had done. Zeref. Why did he ever read those passages? A life where Zeref existed was a life without the beauty in the world. Sasha had come running back to the room with food, startling him a little, before he rubbed his eyes and woke himself properly. He had managed to dream during his small amount of sleep and it had told him everything he needed to do. "Hey... come here." He beckoned her to come closer, and when she was close enough, he flicked her forehead. "That's for not sleeping last night. I heard you shuffling the whole time." He paused, before pulling her onto him in a straddle. He kissed her passionately. "And that... is for having my back yesterday." He let her go, and allowed her to get off if she wanted. The little sleep he had gotten really had helped. He could feel magic flowing into him.

Sasha went over to Lazarus when he called her over, and gave a "hey!" when he flicked her, saying it was for not sleeping. She grumbled, making to head back to the table giving an "ayk!" as he pulled her into his lap, and then all thought was gone as he kissed her. She sighed softly as he let go, but she leaned against him for a moment. as if collecting the strength to get up.

She rose slowly, refusing to let any distressing thoughts entering her mind. "What are team mates for, if to not have each others backs?" She said, managing a smile, as she went over to the table, and the food, ravenous.

"lets eat"

She got up, as if unsatisfied by their kiss. He sighed too. "Yeah... lets." He forced himself up, and grabbed some bread, munching on it. "You know... I had a dream... and it was enlightening." He swallowed. "Regardless of the Queen's decision on me when we speak with her... I will not go to prison. I wont leave you alone." He clenched his free hand. "I'll beat up anyone who tries to take me... because... no matter how much guilt I feel for my past... I can't be alone again... I wont be without you... My team mate... my friend.... my love." He said it.

Sasha shifted the Apple she had taken from hand to hand, as Lazarus spoke, letting him speak, she stayed silent, but her dark eyes watched him, with an almost burning intensity.

She thought on briefly, the family she had at the guild. She would never be alone, she knew that. But there was a difference between being alone, and being lonely.

She smiled, and said "good then. We're on the same page, then. Whatever happens, we will figure it out. We always do" she wasn't afraid now, and she bit into the apple enthusiastically, "If we go soon, we should be one of the first to seek an audience with the queen, and hopefully avoid too much trouble"

Lazarus finished his bread roll. "Yeah... we should..." He glowed white. "I'm ready. Innocent or guilty. I'm leaving this capital... with you." He smiled. They left the inn, and made their way to the palace.

Sasha continually looked about, but whether Shujin hadn't arrived her or no one was looking for Lazarus, there didn't seem to be anyone about that look suspicious. As they reached the castle, and were allowed in, She took a deep breath, wondering just exactly what to say or do.

"just why are Phoenix Wing wizards doing here?" someone asked, a Royal guard. Sasha stopped, and narrowed her eyes "probably the same reason everyone else is here for. To talk and present our case to Queen Liana."

She gave a shrug, and continued in. There wasn't many people about, Something Sasha was greatful for. But when they were called forth, she didn't know where to start, and thus looked to Lazarus

Lazarus stood forward, before getting down on one knee and bowing his head. "My queen. I have come to make a confession, before I was brought here by force." He paused, and began to tremble. He was frightened. What if he was said to be guilty, and he could not escape? No... this was the right thing to do. "You... may have heard about an incident which took place in Beaumalt village 5 years ago. I'm sure you would be able to get the files on it from your rune knights. It involved the use of dark and illegal magic, to murder 63 people, and destroy the majority of structures in the village." His legs stopped trembling and his voice deepened. "It was me. I Lazarus Rex confess to the murders of 63 of my brethren, and the destruction of my home, all for the sake of Zeref." He paused, allowing the queen to think. "I've been running all this time, trying to atone. The only way I can truly atone is by confessing... and here I am... I dont need forgiveness... Just the opportunity to do the right thing for once in my life." He kept his head bowed, shaking, waiting for judgement to be cast upon him, ready for whatever it might be.

There was a shocked silence, and Lianas expression was shocked as well. "Zeref's magic? But...Zeref hasn't been heard on in nearly 100 years!" clearly she thought he was making it up.

Sasha hesitated, and said "that's true. But neither has Dragon Slayer
Magic. Or God slayer magic. And yet, both had returned To the world" was it possible someone would see this threat, withoit her having to explain it? Maybe. She could hope. "but that's not what's in discussion here at the moment. It's lazarus. Lazarus...we have all done things in our past. I'm not saying kts right, the death of so many. But...Lazarus has done so much good. And maybe, if he'd been given support, instead os suspicion, then things would be different. Maybe not. I know Phoenix wing probably isn't in good standing at the moment. But our intentions have always been good, and always been for the best of fiore. If you imprison Lazarus...that will damage us. And we would stop at nothing to get him back in anycase"

Well. She would. She finished speaking, waiting for a response. Sometimes Sasha wondered if her words had any impact at all. Sometimes she wondered if they had too much impact.

f]"you are right in that this cannot be ignored. It also isn't for m to judge, nor anyone, I do not think. A task therefore shall be given, and if I can see that the appropriate...completing of the task is made, then a pardon shall be given, in the understanding that one wrong move will result in immediate inprisonment, as well as the fact that you may not raise to any status of wizard saint, nor, no matter how unlikely it might be, guild master status." Liana said, worry in her expression.

Sasha imagined that ruling was no easy task. But she turned to Lazarus, immense relief flowing through her "you won't know when the task is, nor what it is. I could keep you on your toes for years, and that is its own kind of repayment"

Lazarus knew that there would be some kind of deal which would go down. He raised his head, and stood up. "No matter what the task... I will complete it without fault, your highness. I can never undo what has been done, but I will try to atone for it." He turned his back on the queen. "Thank you, your highness. I'll do my best, and face the consequences should I not succeed." He gestured his his head to Sasha that they should leave. "I assume you'll send someone for me when the time is right?" He called back whilst walking towards the double exit doors.

"no. You shall never know when this task will be done, nor when it will be completed. So you shall wonder for the rest of your life if you have failed or passed the task." Liana sounded almost amused at that, but by then, Sasha didn't care.

She hurried them out the hall, and outside, smiling, "let's i home, shall we?" she wanted the safety of the guild, more than anything now

The queen's voice rang through his mind. It was essentially an eternal punishment. He chuckled to himself, even though he was distress. "In the flesh, I am a free man. But emotionally, she has shackled me to a post." He sighed. "Right! I'll just have to live for the moment!" He grinned, clenching everything. "Yeah... lets go home." He smiled a little for a change.

Sasha used a transformation Lacrima to take them back to the guild.

Jack, the Maiden of the Mist

Where: Train
With: Jack Goran
For:
@Zarkun

Jack listened to Master Jack as he described Shirotsume Town to her. The place sounded interesting and she could definitely do with defending an art gallery. Such a thing would be easy and she could test out the security system herself. Then again, very few were capable of keeping her out with her talents in both magic and infiltration. If one of the thieves was being particularly troublesome, she could possibly track them down, though her methods could possibly be frowned on.

Then the man who had been at Phoenix Wing appeared, asking to join the guild. She listened as he and Master Jack debated the possibility of him joining. Master Jack seemed hesitant to allow him into the guild. She understood, after all, he didn't completely trust her either, given her actions and past. Either way, she felt a need to speak up.
"Your words hold as much weigh as the air they travel through. If you want to prove your intentions, do it through actions. Such things speak more loudly about a person then simple words. We know that." She said as she attempted to make a bird out of her little bit of mist. The result looked like a badly formed clay statue of a bird, causing her to dismiss it altogether. She looked over at Shujin, her eyes narrowed."If you do anything to upset Master Jack, we'll make sure you suffer for it."

For:

Amelia squirmed at all the attention she was getting. She wasn't used to it and she didn't like it. The only question she felt comfortable answering was Rose's.
"Tea please." She mumbled, looking away from everyone.

"You're going to have to give her some space, all of you. My daughter is not very good around strangers." A voice said. Ellis rose from the ground and placed a comforting hand on Amelia's shoulder. She glanced at the present company around her adopted daughter and gave them all a gentle smile to them all." I'm Ellis Averyonna, her mother by adoption. If you have any questions, please direct them at me for now. You won't get a response out of Amelia right now."

"Mama." Amelia complained but Ellis merely giggled.

Why wouldn't we get a reward? so some of their stuff is smoke damage at least everything is still intact and none of the hostages were killed. you ask me that's a good job in of itself" Angelo said as he turned off his Zeus armor mode returning to normal watching the events unfold and soon enough their was a man who came by who was old with age but with fine cloths which would mean he was the owner of the resort. He soon came over and congratulated us and while he complained about us not coming in sooner he did understand that it could have been much worse he gave both Angelo and josh the full reward. Angelo turned to him and grinned "and with that our job is done"

Rose returning with some food Arial gladly accepted it. "Thank you very much." It was a brief reprieve from the strong sense of magic coming off the girl. Not quite looking as Ellis was summoned it sent a cold chill down Ariel's spine. What little she noticed of the sensation Prince's magic left was overpowered by Amelia's Turning her attention away from her meal she watched as the spirit of the lightning mage rose from the ground. What kind of magic was this anyway, it was very eerie.

She tried her best to stay focused on Ellis for the time being. "Oh, it's nice to meet you Ellis. I'm not sure if I gave a question. Just trying to be friendly is all. I'm sorry if I made you feel uncomfortable Amelia." She stopped leaning closer to give the girl her space. Part of the reason was that the cold chill wasn't going away. It was not unlike the cold one would feel when one had a fever. Putting her arms around herself Ariel tried to shake the feeling.

Trinity smiled softly as the man she was looking for approaching. "There you are. Looking busy, huh? I'll keep it short. I ran into Time Lord on a nearby roof and he invited me to follow him home. It seemed rather impromptu of him, so I played along. Long story short, I don't think he's an immediate threat, but we shouldn't trust him. I can give you a more full report in writing, if you'd prefer."

Karn and Hemlock
Fiore || Mt. Hakobe
Interacting: Each Other, Damian, Zero/Zenoram

After the deed was done, the beast watched the dragon fall and the dragon boy go for the human, threatening to kill him. The beast took a couple steps foreword, as if to confront but soon stopped as he listened before his golden eyes watched happened before him. The dragon was severely injured and dying, but the human Swordsman did not go for a quick kill. Although the Chimera would have preferred at least a less sufferable approach, it seemed the dragon did not mind and was back to his senses, speaking to the dragon human boy.

As the dragon started up the mountain, the rest following, the Chimera took a few moments to simply watch them. Turning his head back as if to ponder leaving now. Yet it felt duty bound to stay by the fellow mythical beast's side until his passing, so the chimera padded after them, large paws crushing the snow beneath him. For some reason, he felt so tired. Had he been fighting long? Or perhaps because the sun has disappeared over the horizon?

The Chimera kept a fair distance from the group, despite their cooperation in battle. Seeming a bit cautious and ready for anything to happen, but his body languages seemed relaxed. As if to show either he was tired or perhaps just in a calm state of mind.

As the group walked along Hemlock turned his head just a bit to look back. The Chimera. This wasn't the boy he'd met. He could tell at least that much on his own. He motioned for it to hurry. "Chimera. A moment." He said as he motioned for Damian and Zero to stay put much to Zero's confusion.

"But..."

"Just a moment." Hemlock halted the dragon slayer. He lifted his hand and moved it toward the Chimera. "You are not the owner of this body, are you?" He asked simply. He didn't have the time to mince words or beat around the bush. "I think you've helped enough. Now you must allow them to deal with their own troubles. And, allow them a chance to say goodbye." He added calmly.

As the Chimera walked along, his ears perked as he heard the dragon speak, causing the the beast to halt as well before watching the giant lizard move a paw to him. Tilting his head slightly for a moment, as if pondering what the dragon meant before blinking his golden eyes in understanding. This body, wasn't really him. Just part of Karn's mind, what he saw him as. It would explain why he was tired and weak, and he had little knowledge of the situation.

So, the Chimera slowly nodded as the dragon pointed out how the boy he probably knew, wasn't really there. Somewhere he was, watching like it was a foggy dream. Things, wouldn't go well for the young boy once he returned, but the Chimera seemed to understand this would be a must. Like teaching a child to stand on their own when they've fallen. If one babies them and just keeps picking them up everytime, they won't ever learn. Glancing to his leg to make sure it was acceptably fine, the magical influence on it broken down by the Chimera magic, he concluded Karn would be alright from that at least.

The golden eyes stared at the dragon, and before long the chimera's powerful form disappeared to be replaced by a familiar blonde head. The human boy groaned a little, emerald eyes seeming incoherent as he stood, feeling snow against his feet. He felt cold. Yet it wasn't because of the snow. Karn could tell fever had settled in, blood already threatening to poor from his mouth.

It was then, he looked to Hemlock and briefly, Karn smiled brightly to see the dragon. "Hemlock! You're not being controlled and ok..." Karn started with glee before halting as the rush of blood slammed into him. There was so much of it, his mind was hurting. Damian smelled of human blood, but Hemlock seemed to be dripping it all over. Staining the white snow into a brilliant Crimson color.

Karn looked closer, seeing the severe injury on Hemlock and when Karn glanced to the Dragon Slayer, it clicked what happened. He failed. Hemlock was dying. Despite trying his best, trying everything he knew how, it still wasn't enough. He was so drained, his Chimera Healing magic couldn't heal a wound that big. Useless. People had died. Hemlock is dying. He couldn't save any of them. What good was he then?

Tears welled up, stinging the emerald eyes as Karn couldn't stand any longer and dropped to his knees, crushing the snow beneath him and sending some splattering away. Giving a choking sob, he let the tears roll down, splashing against the snow. Soon enough, their was blood in the mixture of them, but he didn't care how much his body hurt.

"I'm so sorry Hemlock. I-I tried.... But... I didn't want you to die.... B-but I-I f-failed. I'm so sorry.... I'm sorry Hemlock.... Z-Zero.... Z-Zenoram... I'm so sorry.." Karn managed to sob out, his head downcast in a attempt to hide the crying, despite how probably it was by the sounds of sobs and his trembling body, to try and at least hide his probably pathetic appearance.

He knew apologizing wasn't good for anything... It wouldn't make anyone feel better... But that's al he could do now.

"You're name was Karn." Hemlock said calmly as his tail wrapped gently around the young blonde's frail body. He sighed and pulled the young man towards him. He could tell he was in no real condition to move. With the blood and injuries he had. Still though the boy was crying, obviously in pain. Not just physical, but mental. "What happened here..." He didn't know how to put it. To help this child. However, it wasn't his job to help him.

Zero was there to take hold of Karn when Hemlock brought him down. Zero helped keep him on his feet. "You shouldn't put it all on yourself like that."

"Zero is right." Hemlock began again. "You had no control over what happened." He said as he brought his head down level with Karn and his adopted son. "Even in the condition I was in. I could feel it. I understood you... All of you fighting to help me. And all I can do is thank you." He was calm. Calmer than one dying should probably be. "So understand, that you cannot take the blame. You cannot put the weight of the world on your shoulders. That's what you gather companions for. Isn't that why you joined a guild?" The dragon exhaled, the air blowing through his nose as into the boys face before he stood back. If he said anymore it may stand to do more damage than good. So he could leave it at this. The next thing he said. Would be his fair well.

Karn felt himself being pulled closer by the dragon, forcing the young boy to look at the large mystical beast. Slightly rubbing his eyes in a attempt to unblur his vision. He felt Zero there, helping him stand, though Karn had trouble. His legs were weak and his left leg was agonizing. Although his Chimera form could take a lot of damage, all that damage was still carried over whenever he turned into a human. And this body was much more frail in comparison.

I'm a way, a part of Karn was surprised at Zero's words. A part of him wanted Zero to get mad at him, punch him... Anything. Because out of anyone, it was probably Zero and Zenoram feeling the pain. But the dragonslayer didn't. Emerald eyes glancing up to Hemlock as he spoke, trying to reassure the young boy. A part of Karn still felt he had to take responsibility, but as Hemlock mentioned his reason to joining a Guild, Karn found himself nodding.

He wanted a Guild's companionship, so he wouldn't be alone and feel friendship. And he supposed, sharing the pain was part of it. Not exactly taking it all. Karn covered his mouth as he coughed, though this time it was loud and clear. A almost scratching raspy sound like he was choking. Pulling his hand away, he found his hand covered in blood. He couldn't hide it in this condition, so he just accepted it.

Karn didn't say anything, but he at least stopped crying, though his eyes were puffy and red from his sobs. Although he was tempted to try walking so he didnt bother Zero, he resigned and wrapped a arm around the dragon slayer's waist for both assistance in walking and for some little comfort he can offer. For both of them.

He didn't say anything, but he understood what Hemlock and Zero were trying to say. It was hard to talk though. Because he didn't know what to say, and he was focusing to staying awake.

Damian and Hemlock
Fiore || Mt. Hakobe
Interacting: Each Other, Karn, Zero/Zenoram

With his piece having been said to the young blonde shapeshifter Hemlock moved on. He could smell the female in the area. Mithera. She would likely come around at some point. He had something to give her. Having observed the shifter's abilities and happiness when they had first met, he was quite sure the young man already had a more than suitable parting gift. So now moving on he would speak to the one who'd aided Zero in delivering the final blow of the battle.

"You. What is your name?" He asked calmly as he took a seat resting and saving the energy he had as he went on with his business. They had finally reached the point in which his cave, the home he, Zenoram and Zero had shared, was located. He was stared down at the sword wielder.

Damian couldn't match Hemlock's gaze. He couldn't find it in himself to look into the eye's of Zero's father and give his name proudly. He was, in the end, the hand that had guided the sword to where it had struck. So with his eyes down and sadness and regret in his heart, he spoke. "Damian Gerard, S-Class Wizard for the guild Phoenix Wing and guild mate of your son."

As he spoke, he remembered something that Penny had said, though it was just a vague memory and he was sure he was getting the wording wrong. Those who kill, for any reason, shouldn't and can't be trusted. They're too likely to take their best friends life...that..that's not who I am, but who's going to care... He waited for the dragon's response, hating himself for what had happened.

"Do not hold your head down Damian." Hemlock said as his gaze remained on the young man. "Somebody like you who could help fulfill my son's decision and make the choice many would not have been able to. You have my respect." He lowered his head. In all honesty, he didn't express forgiveness. Nor did he express anger or sadness. He didn't feel the need for those emotions. They were little more than a hindrance and the only important thing to him was to let those of phoenix wing... Those who would be around Zenoram and Zero. Especially this one who seemed to be suffocating himself in self loathing. "This wasn't your fault. You understand that much, don't you?"

Damian didn't reply right away, his head still hung. When he replied, it was still very respectful. "I appreciate it and I understand it, but it doesn't change what I did, and not just to you. Two bodies lay at the foot of this mountain, made bodies by my hand. I..." Damian sighs and meets the dragon's gaze for just a moment before going back to the ground, the brief eye contact revealing there were tears in the young wizard's eyes.

"I'm sorry, I'm not here for me. I don't wish to burden you with my problems. I thank you for what you said. Is there anything you would ask of me?"

Hemlock closed his eyes, understanding what the young man was saying. He doubted he could say he would react much differently. The act of taking a life was no different, nor easier or harder regardless of the time or place, or circumstances. That fact remained as it was. "I ask only that you do not allow this event to hinder your progress as a mage and a living being. And..." I reach up with his claw. The dragon opened his mouth and gripped one of his more powerful fangs. It took but a moment to break it off. That pain was nothing. He held the fang to the young mage. "Take this. Use it to create a sword. The body of a dragon, claws, fangs, and so on can be quite powerful. My fang. That of a poison dragon. I believe it could become a good sword. And if nothing else, it could only serve as another remind to never falter, and never stop moving forward. I'm sure it'll also help in protecting my son."

Damian looked up at the tooth in awe, unsure of what to say. A blade made with the fang of a dragon, any dragon, would be a powerful weapon. One that would only need to be mentioned. He smiled and took the fang with a bow. Taking a moment to take off his shirt, he wrapped the fang with it and fashioned a make shift sling sheath for the fang with the belt that held his pouches. Those he stuck in the wrapping. Bowing again, Damian remembers a story about Fairy Tail and the salute they gave their members when they needed encouragement and gives it to Hemlock, his hand held high, his first finger held up to the sky and his thumb out to the side slightly. The tears, though he fought to hold them back, flowed forward. "I thank you for your trust, Hemlock. And I give you my word, on my honor, that I will do my best to protect your son when he needs it."

Damian chuckles and looks towards Zero as he lowers his hand. "But he may not need it. You taught him well." Turning back to the dragon, Damian frowned again. "I'm sorry about all this. If circumstances were different..." He trailed off, unsure of what to say.

Hemlock smiled at the display brought before him by Damian. It was admirable. It was touching. He remember stories, videos, information from his childhood. Those scientists did many bad things, but they gave him and his brethren much needed information. This was something he could understand. However, when Damian brought up how things could have been if circumstances were different he shook his head. "Don't let yourself be led astray by the what ifs, should haves and if only's. You cannot live in the past, nor the future. Only the present. And from what I've seen, you're doing a good job of living right now." He said before turning. This exchange could go on, but it would be fairly repetitive. It was best to leave off now. Besides, he wished not make the young man shed more tears.

Mithera, Melina and Hemlock
Fiore || Mt. Hakobe
Interacting: Each Other, Karn, Damian, Zero/Zenoram

As Damian and Hemlock finished talking, Melina was walking towards the dragon slowly, carrying a small white puffball in her arms. The smell of blood would be clear, but it smells like Mithera's, not the dried blood smell that Melina usually has. As Melina gets closer, she has a fairly pained look on her face, and that the puffball she's carrying is clearly Mithera, just in her tiny form. At first glance, it's clear she is seriously injured, Mithera's two left legs are bent at terrifying angles, and her left wing was snapped so badly one can see bone. She occasionally coughs, spitting up a little bit of blood over her companion's arm and onto the ground.

"Hell of a tail you've got there." Melina would speak up once she got close enough, her voice strained, and she continued to walk slowly as to not jostle Mithera. "Don't worry about how she looks, on the inside she's fixing herself up again. She'll live unless I start tossing her around like a sack of potatoes. But since I'm bearing most of the pain for her so she can keep a clear mind, that'd make even a masochist cry." As Melina got closer, she would stop close to the dragon, and motion for him to bring his head down, if it wasn't already. "And don't worry about me, I'm Melina, and I've been one of Mithera's friends for seven years now. I won't bring any harm to her, in fact I'm actually leaving Fiore pretty soon for a while." Once the dragons head is down, Melina would gently place Mithera on her right side on the dragon's snout. "She thinks it sucks that you're passing away and she only just med you." Melina would smile faintly, before wincing slightly. Sweat was starting to bead at her forehead. "And she can't talk like you and I can while in this form, so I guess I'll be talking for her." She looked over the dragon, and thought about Mithera's two dragon forms. Neither lived up to the magnificence of the actual thing. It was the difference between seeing a painting of a beautiful person and actually seeing them. The real thing was always far more magnificent.

Hemlock watched as Melina slowly made her way to him. His look quickly grew more solemn as he heard Melina. He'd done this. "If possible, I too would like to lighten the burden of pain on you and her." He said calmly. He was careful not to move his mouth to much so as not to bother the small creature now laying on his snout. Truth be told, he was also a bit more sad than he led on. He was reserved to his fate, but he had just begun to broaden his horizons. That is, along with those of his foster son. Still his death was fast approach. "Still, can you do me a favor?" He asked calmly. "Enter the cave there. Inside along the wall on the right side of the entrance is a black jacket. It was fairly hard to make, but wrapped within it is a necklace. Both made using my scales, though the necklace also has a fang." He explained simply as he looked past the small dragon that was Mithera to Melina. The girl smelled of blood. But the with all the blood around it wasn't quite as uncomfortable as it normally might have been.

Melina would nod at Hemlock's instructions, and went into the cave just beyond the dragon. Mithera purred very quietly on the dragon's snout, watching one of his eyes with both of hers, as Melina brought the retrieved necklace back, holding it up for Mithera to see. After a moment of Mithera regarding it, Melina spoke again. "She thinks it's lovely." Melina would fold it carefully and put it in her pocket. "And she says that she'll treasure it forever." Melina regarded her friend quietly, smiling a little. "You know, a little dragon sitting on a big dragon is kinda cute." She'd reach out and gently stroke Mithera's head with two fingers. "She also says that, in case you're beating yourself up over hurting her, to not. By this time in the morning she'll be no more injured than if she had just gotten a bad scrape, and that this is not the worst pain she's ever been in." The last part was a lie, but Melina was good at not giving that away, and she knew Mithera would kill her if she made Hemlock feel worse than he probably already did.

"I see." Hemlock said calmly. He followed what Melina said calmly. His eyes were calm, and the his magic was weakening. "You two share a strong connection. I'm sure it'll be a tough transition. Separating I mean." He spoke a bit more softly. Observing them he could see how close they were. Many other things were obvious. But he wouldn't be bringing any of those things up. "I wished to give her that gift the next time we met, though I'd hoped it was under better circumstances." He then said as it felt necessary, though he chuckle a bit when Melina pet the small white puffball. "When was the last time I was pet by a human?" He asked speaking a bit to himself. It was a long time ago. Before he'd even escaped that damn laboratory. "In a way I envoy her. Her ability to change size and shape, though I'm sure it does not come easy." He blinked once. It was slow. Painfully slow. "It seems I'm babbling. All that's left is to speak to my sons. And bid farewell. For now."

Melina bit her lip, then shrugged. "Well, being telepathically linked certainly helps with being close. But there are worse places to leave her than under the protection of a powerful guild and a dragon slayer." She smirked a little as the dragon mentioned not being petted in a long time, and gently stroked the side of his muzzle. "Her size changing has gotten her out of trouble, but, she can't do it very fast. As far as having to deal with thugs and such, she's practically useless in this form." Chuckling softly, Melina carefully picked Mithera up, holding her carefully, and holding the little dragon's new necklace in one hand. "She says goodbye, and she hopes she'll see you again some day. In this life, preferably." She sighed softly. "I guess I should leave you to talk with Zero and Zenoram. Mithera says that if you die she'll stalk you in the afterlife until you apologize, and that it's goodbye for now." She would smile, and start to head over to Karn and Damian, letting Zero and Zenoram have their turn, and offering Mithera and her gift for Damian to carry back to Phoenix wing.

”I see your heart is larger than you probably lead other’s to believe.” Hemlock said calmly as Melina stroked his muzzle. It was a nice feeling. Still, their business was done. They had said what they needed and he could move on having kept everything so far in his heart. Not, all that was left was his sons. Zenoram and Zero. Though they were one, he saw them as the individuals they were. So, with this Hemlock brought himself back to his feet and made his way to his child who had sat Karn gently down beside Damian.

Zenoram/Zero and Hemlock

“Just rest there.” Zero said calmly as he stood back up. He looked to be holding back tears. Strength was important to. It was all he knew. Being strong, not just for himself, but for Zenoram. Strength was all he knew. But here. Now. This feeling of powerlessness. The inability to save the only father he had truly known. Still he felt he should give this to Zenoram.

“Wait Zero.” Hemlock said calmly already having a good idea in mind of what the boy was going to do. “I wish to speak with both of you.”

“But… Zenoram… He’s… The real one.” Zero answered, his voice shaking a bit, as he quickly stepped away from Damian and Karn as Melina joined them, holding Mithera. He met Hemlock half way who laid down in the snow again. They were much closer to the cave now.

“Zero, you are much more than you believe yourself to be. That much is clear. Even if not to yourself.” Hemlock spoke calmly as he snorted, the air leaving his nose blowing into Zero’s face.

“But!”

“You’ve come so far from the reckless, angry brat you were when I first met you.”

“Yeah right. That’s a laugh.”

“It’s true. There were signs of darkness. And a will for vengeance that I understood quite well. But now, there is so much more.”

“No… Don’t… Don’t fucking make me out to be more than I am!” Tears were truly flowing, rolling down Zero’s cheeks. He shook his head, and wiped his eyes. “You and Zenoram always do this shit, you bastards.” The power quickly fell from his voice.

“One day you’ll realize the changes you’ve gone through yourself. Both of you.”

“I refuse… I don’t want you to go Hemlock… I was just… I was just starting to branch out. To grow… Me and Zenoram…”

“And you feared you’d no longer be necessary right?” The dragon quickly intervened causing Zero to stop. He clenched his fists. So hard his nails, rather claws, broke the skin. “Zero, there’s so much more than you think.” Zero was quiet now. The wind blew and the boy finally looked up.

“Geez… That guy. Always backing out when things get a little too tough to handle emotionally…” This was Zenoram. “Anything he can’t hit…” He trailed off. That was what made his other half who he was after all.

“The same goes for you Zenorma.”

“Hm?”

“You’ve changed. So much. I’m sure I don’t have to say it.” Hemlock said, causing Zenoram to shake his head.

“No… But… I just… Why did you take us in? Of all the people you took away and… Well… Maybe if you hadn’t taken us… If you hadn’t taken so many unnecessary risks… If… If!” Zenoram’s voice broke as the tears flowed and he tried to make sense of it. The questions he had wanted to ask. The questions he thought he’d have a lifetime to get the answered to.

“One day… I think you’ll understand why. The feeling of taking a chance on someone. Of becoming a parent and guiding another.” Hemlock smiled and lifted his hand gently pulling Zenoram closer. He held the boy. It seemed that was it. That was all that needed to be said. Him and Zenoram and Zero. They had all shared so much over the years. There was nothing that could be said that they didn’t already know. So for the next few moments, they shared this embrace.

“Goodbye Hemlock.” Zenoram finally spoke again. “My second father. Zero’s first father. I can only hope we’ll meet again.” He felt a proper goodbye.

“I believe we will.” Hemlock said as he sat back up, releasing Zenoram. “Zenoram. Your things are in the cave. You shouldn’t leave anything behind. And I think you’ll find something new as well.” With that he gave one more look over the group. “Now… It’s about time for the final goodbye.” He smiled. “Thank you for all your efforts. And all your kind words. I believe we will all meet again someday.” As he spoke, his body began to glow. Even to Zenoram this was new. It startled him making him take a step back. “But for now, this is goodbye.” There was a bright flash and when it faded, Hemlock was gone.

“I guess Dragon’s don’t even die the same as everyone else.” Zenoram chuckled as he turned to the rest of the group. “Um… I wanted to thank all of you.” Zenoram said as he stepped closer to the group. “Now I guess… We’re done here. We should go… If you guys don’t mind, I’ll go gather some things. And Zero will join you soon.” He smiled taking a moment to focus on Damian. “I guess this is our first time meeting. I’m Zenoram. Please leave any questions to Karn, or until we get back to the guild and rest up a bit.” He introduced himself before taking a deeper breath. “Now… I think, even if Hemlock brought it up… You should know, Me and Zero… We don’t hate you. On the contrary… We’re sorry we made you do this. You don’t deserve the guilt that I’m sure is weighing you down.” He turn his head just a bit to look at the frail, hurt blonde. “And neither do you Karn.” He knew that wouldn’t be enough. But he felt it should be said.

“Now… I’m gonna go grab some things so we can get back. Sorry to make you wait.” With that he turned around and jogged off towards the cave, though he stopped halfway and gripped his side. Pain? Yeah… He almost forgot how hard a hit Zero had taken before. He definitely had some broken ribs. Didn’t seem anything had been punctured though. If Zero was in charge, he would power through. And that’s what he did until he reached the cave and was hidden from everyone. Then he saw the jacket. Black with a purple hue, resemebling something like a traditional leather jacket. Tough as hell and definitely good to protect him. That’s when it really hit. The two dropped to their knees, crying as they hugged the jacket. It seems even gone as he was, Hemlock was still going to do his best to protect them.

Still they didn’t have much time. Zero would take over and throw on the jacket. He wiped the eyes, though the signs of crying were there. He gathered their things into a rather large back which he through on his back. “Fuck… This is a lot…” He huffed as he held it, one arm clutching his ribs as he exited the cave. “Let’s go.” He said as he stopped by the group only for a moment to help Karn up and begin to help him as he began heading back down the mountain. His jacket was on and closed providing a bit more protection than his initial choice of clothing from the weather, though he didn’t need it much. Still… It was so warm… So warm.

Damian Gerard|Mount Hakobe, outside Hemlock's cave

Damian stood silently as Hemlock spoke, listening to everything the dragon said.“Thank you for all your efforts. And all your kind words. I believe we will all meet again someday.” As Hemlock spoke, Damian thrust his hand into the air one last time, even as the dragon's body began to glow. "You are a member of Phoenix Wing. When you laugh, we laugh. When you are angry, we share your rage. And when you cry, we share in your sorrow. That is what it means to be in a guild, to be a member of Phoenix Wing." Zero took a step back from the glowing dragon, clearly surprised.

Hemlock managed some semblance of a smile at Damian's words. “But for now, this is goodbye.” There was a bright flash and when it faded, Hemlock was gone. Damian held his hand high, as tears once more fell down his face. "We will remember you, Hemlock. And we will carry on your legacy, until the day death comes for us in turn." As Damian lowered his hand and took Mithera, his eyes still misty, Zero walked up to him and introduced himself again, this time as Zenoram. "I-uh-right, well, pleasure to meet you as well." The young man runs into the cave and Damian reflects on the dragon's words to him before he'd walked away. "Don't let yourself be led astray by the what ifs, should haves and if only's. You cannot live in the past, nor the future. Only the present. And from what I've seen, you're doing a good job of living right now." Damian gave one last smile and stepped in front of the group, summoning a more ordinate Ares Blade than the one that sat in the guild hall.

"Here rests the Dragon Hemlock, who stood in this very spot to give his final farewells to his sons and his companions. May this blade forever mark the resting place a creature who was a better man than I will ever be." Zero walked out in time to see Damian plunge the blade into the snow, a bright orange light shooting up as it grew a bit more. When it was done, the words "Rest in Peace, Hemlock" were on the blade and it would now sustain itself. "Alright, I'm ready when you are."

Jack Goran|Train to Shirotsume Town

Jack weighed the words spoken by Shujin carefully before replying, hearing Jackie out as well. Nodding towards her, he stands and leads them both to another car and points out a group of young wizards, bearing a guild mark that they probably thought belonged in a history book. "You see those four wizards? They are from the reincarnation of the guild Lamia Scale. Despite everything history says about the wizards within those guilds, they were not evil people who helped the Dragon Slayers realize their true nature.

This simply isn't true and those wizards fight every day to prove just that. The wizards of the guilds Lamia Scale, Blue Pegasus, and Fairy Tail were all good people. They fought not for their own personal gain, but for their friends and those they called family."
He turned back to the pair who wished to join his guild. "When I created Dragon Fang, it was to recreate that sense of camaraderie, of family. I will not turn my back on those who wish to experience that sense themselves. I would welcome you, Shujin and Jackie. I look forward to seeing you daily." He smiled at the pair, the kind of smile that you know is genuine and from the heart. This man really did care, even if he had some odd ways of showing it.

Karn
Fiore || Mt. Hakobe
Interacting: Uriel, Acheon, Melina, Zero/Zenoram

@Demon Shinobi @Burthstone @Zarkun

Karn could barely focus on what happened next. He could hear Damian, and a little part of the blonde was upset about the S-Class taking lives. He didn't join a Guild to be with killers. Would he have to kill to? Is that what a guild was about? Ru had told him once, that sometimes, it was necessary but should be avoided. Karn wasn't sure he could do that. But, maybe he already was. He wasn't able to stop Damian, nor save Hemlock, so he might as well taken these lives just as much as Damian.

Failure, Failure, Failure.... Dissapointment Failure...

He could hear the familiar whispers but he closed his eyes a little, glancing to Melina and Mithera, emerald eyes filled with worry. He couldn't even prevent from Mithera getting hurt. Nor did he have any strength to ease the pain.

It was then he felt Zero set him down by Damian, before following Hemlock. Watching them go, Karn waited until they disappeared before he coughed more. Cold... So cold. Blood was pouring from his mouth, staining the snow beneath him with a crimson dye. He couldn't breathe. It hurt. It all hurt. He couldn't sit up any longer, and he ended up falling on his side, coughing and hacking. Emerald eyes dulling, before their brightness suddenly hollowed.

Why was everything silent? Oh.... His rapid heart had stopped.... There was nothing. He had died. But just as quick as it happened, a dim glow appeared on his chest and pulsed. Eyes returning to their lively light and he took a gasp of air. Alive once more. He coughed up more blood, and the same repeated.

Dead. Resurrected. Dead. Resurrected. How many times has it been? How many times did he die?

Rian..... Stop... I don't want to anymore.... I'm so tired.... And cold... Please... It's not fair... If I can... Give it to Hemlock... Please...

Karn couldn't help but think, but his pleas were on deaf ears as it continued to happen until he finally just coughed a little. Breathing deep breathes to get the needed air he required. The blonde was still alive. And hurting. It was then the Dragon Slayer returned, Karn trembled from where he lay, but he slowly forced himself to sit up again. If he was here, he had to try. He had to try harder. He shouldn't cause them to worry, and they needed strength.

As Zenoram spoke to him, Karn blinked his sad emerald eyes at him and glanced down. Where did his voice go? What should he say? He didn't know. The Dragonslayer left again to grab his things, before returning and helping Karn up. Karn struggled to his feet. He had to walk. It hurt. It's cold.... But he had to. So he wasn't a burden. As Damian said some words in farewell of the dragon, Karn opened his mouth as if to say goodbye, but all that came was blood. Despite this, he tried again. And again. And again. Until a hushed quite voice managed to be released.

"Goodbye..... Hemlock..."

So he walked, trying hard to focus and try to not burden the hurting Dragonslayer, but it was hard with one leg and his mind foggy. Everyone was a blur of colors among the snow, he could hardly tell who was who.

Prince
Fiore || Magnolia || Phoenix Wing Guild

@Amaya Tamashii @t2wave @Joshua Tamashii

Prince smiled at Amelia before feeling a chill run down his spine. His tail poofing up as a woman popped from the ground. Instinctevly, his fangs clenched against his lips, tail lashing a little and his feline eye's pupil shrinking into a slit but it wasn't long before he relaxed. Petting the poofy tail down. Happened everytime there was something supernatural around.

It was the, his head started to hurt. He ignored it though and simply smiled brightly. "Nice to meet you Madame. Apologies, I was simply curious since she talked of me earlier. While I'm just as curious of her as she is of me." he chuckled before happily having a cup of tea.

"Much appreciated my darling flower." He purred to Rose.

TIME SKIP: 8th September

Jarvis

Two weeks came and passed. The remodeling of the guild finished, showing two new floors, and an extension of the stables and training grounds, but the guild had a lot of its same charm. Jarvis seemed to settle into the role of guild master, and yet, still wished he wasn't.

But right now, Jarvis had an important announcement for the guild, and had asked the guild members assemble on the morning of 8th of September, and it was time to announce the members who would be participating in the grand magic games, something Jarvis had been thinking about the last few weeks.

Jarvis waited at the bar for the guild to assemble.

Penny

As soon as Damian had returned, and after Penny had pretty much told him off for leaving when Mayt was unconscious, and essentially leaving her to take responsibilities of S class completely, she had gone off, after talking with Jarvis.

Penny had traveled to the mountains, where she had first encountered Solias. When she couldn't find him, she waited in his cave. He didn't turn up for several days, and Penny was just about to return home, when he appeared. She was sitting on the very same bed she had woken up on, what seemed like so long ago now.

Penny wished she had a camera, his expression was that comical. She rose smoothly, and said "Hello, Father" She stayed where she was, as Solias stepped into his cave, setting down a back pack that he had just slung off his shoulder.

"I told you not to come back, Penelope" He didn't sound anger, nor even disappointed, just resigned.

"I know that, and for four years, I kept to that. I've started using it, father. Phoenix Slayer magic. But that isn't why I am here. A friend is sick, and I can't help them. I don't even know what's wrong with them." She tried to explain, but wasn't doing a good job on it. But Solias was having none of it, in anycase.

"YOU'VE STARTED USING THE MAGIC I TOLD YOU NOT TO?" Solias yell was piercing, and Penny winced as it made her head pound. When he had finished, and when she was sure he wasn't going to continue, she said, quite calmly, "yes. Because I'm tired of keeping a part of myself hidden. But more then that, It was required in protecting my friends, and people I consider family now. I will use it, if it will help them. I see I misjudged you, Solias. I'm sorry I bothered you. Good bye"

She stalked passed him, and was in the air before he said a word. Tears stung her eyes, as she felt rejected once more. She soared through the air, her speed quite fast. Why did she ever put any hope in others? Now what was she meant to do? She knew of no other Phoenix's, for all she knew, Solias was the last one. It seemed likely.

With no where to go, she returned back to the guild, and tried to make it seem like nothing was wrong, resigned to things, watching as Jarvis waited for others to assemble. She sighed, not particularly interested in the magic games. She wasn't going to participate, she knew that. But she knew she would have to be there to represent the guild as an S Class Wizard.

sasha

Sasha didn't do much through the two weeks, her body, mind and soul quite weary, and just resting mostly, although there were a few jobs that she chose to do. The morning of the 8th, Sasha rose and for the first time in days, she finally felt rejuvenated. She smiled to herself, rising, and getting ready for the day.

Sasha had had to have a second guild mark placed on her chest, in order to get away with being her Edolas self. She had been mortified with it, but when they had returned home, she hadn't taken it off. Now, she bore no mark on her hand, but instead kept the mark on her chest. During the last two weeks, Sasha had gotten use to it, as well as the new wardrobe that was needed to show it off. Well, to show at least half of the mark. Enough so that people knew she was Phoenix Wing.

So Sasha dressed in a dress that was lower cut then her usual attire, slipping on a jacket that could be considered a summer jacket, and a scarf, tying back her hair. She studied herself in the mirror, taking a deep breath, before heading downstairs.

Karn
Fiore || Magnolia || Phoenix Wing Guild

Karn's two weeks haven't been so great. Since he got back, he has been nothing but ill. With a busted leg, heavy fever, and continually coughing up blood, he wasn't in good enough condition to do much of anything. Despite that, he still insisted he was fine and would get better with rest. He had just overexerted himself in the battle with Hemlock and this mysterious wizards. They may never know who they were.

The blonde spent one and a half weeks in his underground home in the forest, bundled in his bear furs. Fever had stricken him harshly, and he could barely move with it and a busted leg. Still, if anyone came to visit him, he would smile like normally and happily greet them. The days were long and hard, but he got through it and during the last couple of days, he managed to crawl out of his home and go to the Guild.

Fully rested and healed and a bundle of joy like normally. Cheerfully greeting all the other Guildmembers and reassuring those who were concerned that he was fine. He was sad to see Jamie gone, but he was confident the mysterious person would be okay. Then blonde, did tend to cling to Zero and Zenoram a bit more after the Dragon job. He didn't show any of the frailness he showed blatantly when Hemlock died, and was still quite bubbly and friendly.

However today, he was a bit shaken, curled up in a chair and leaning against a table. Simply staring. Not too long ago, Prince had found him, and dragged him into a bath. It took a bit of screaming and chasing and wrestling, but the catman caught him and forced a proper bath.

Although, Karn was in nicer clothes, not simple rags like he usually wore. Clean and neat, and fashionable that made him look a bit cute. Though it wasn't girly clothing for a change. Though he did have a orange bow on the back of his head. Prince had to come over to check on him, being more medically inclined, and the feline humanoid tended to take medical treatment very seriously. Prince was probably already back at his own Guild and it had been hours since the bath event, but Karn was still pretty traumatized by it.

Prince
Fiore || Shirotsume || Dragon Fang Guild

The catman had spent his two weeks doing the usual. Which was usually messing with others, singing, dancing, flirting, and of course buying the latest fancomics. He did stop by Phoenix Wing occasionally, to pay a visit to Elyse like he promised as well as treat the bedridden Karn. And scold him. Quite a shame, the boy was in no condition to handle Prince's devoted affection. Perhaps another time.

After going home, he helped Dragon Fang prepare a welcoming party for the new member Jackie, as Prince liked calling the female Jack. He didn't need to since he always called the male one affectionately 'Master' but still. Didn't stop him from flirting with the new member and being scolded by some of the other members.

Living within the Guild, Prince sat in his room and sat at his desk. Having a quill in his hand as he wrote what looked like a large leather brown book. Soon, he closed it, the cover reading 'Eternal Memories' before stashing it in a drawer. Leaving his room, he shut the door and easily lept on a beam near the room of the Guildhall. Humming softly as his one eye curiously looked down. Watching what the other members were doing and who he should decide to say hello to this fine day.

Ariel
Over the last two weeks the multi magic mage began to learn quite a bit more about her unique condition. The why was still unknown but some particular patterns were beginning to emurge. First was, while she gained access to a new magic, that didn't mean she instantly knew how to use it well. Each also started with a rather small magic reserve. So while she could start doing a lot of things it wasn't for extended periods like the original owner. Working at it though she could make it stronger, but it took time and practice. Some lent well to their use, such as the Charm magic picked up from Prince. It was more emotionally driven and the personality that went with it made it much easier to wield.

Charm Ariel was quite a different creature, impulsive but in a friendly way. A Prince lite if you would. But that might just be because she was a girl, without cat features, or freakishly tall. Yes getting into people's business was what she did. Before Nolan went off on his own she practically gave him a heart attack trying to get him to open up and stop being afraid of women. As one might expect that did not go over well. But in the mean time she joined up with the remaining Team Powder Keg members for jobs. That gave her some much needed experience and understanding of what her abilities did. In addition to Charm, Ariel also picked up Ice magic while on a job with Amaya and Darkness from being around Sayuri back at their apartment. As one might expect Ice had a cold demeanor and was very pointed about things. Darkness was very much the opposite of Light. While light was very cheerful Darkness was apathetic toward nearly everything.

Somewhere in all that Ariel still hadn't quite gotten the handle of the personalities. She would switch at the whim of her emotions, goals, and any addition of new magic. The expanding pellet was starting to make a more well rounded person, even if it did bounce around a lot. Right now though she was getting her pay from the last job and in her Light state. She needed to start paying her part of the rent and catch up on the first month. So far so good with that.

Damian Gerard|Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

Damian came down from his room, the hilt of his new sword peaking over his right shoulder. The last two weeks had been spent working on how best to take the fang and make it into a sword, which hadn't been nearly as easy as one would think. It had taken a trip to three different weapon smiths before he found one that had any idea how it might be done. The guy lived on the outskirts of Hargeon Town, and said he'd not seen many wizards asking for help like Damian was, but he'd do what he could. In the end, the fang became the blade that Hemlock had wished it to be.

He was still somewhat forlorn, both from the fact that he'd killed Hemlock and that he'd killed those two Rune Knights. Of course, Penny laying into him about going on a Job at Master Jamie's request hadn't helped. How the hell was he supposed to know what was going on anyways? They got back AFTER he left. Still, he hadn't told anyone what had happened yet and he intended to come clean after the announcement from Jarvis.

James Hunt|Phoenix Wing Guild Hall

James sat at the bar, doing the same thing he'd done for the last two weeks. He sat there, working on unlocking more of his own potential while enjoying a good drink. Jarvis was doing well as the new Master for the guild, he seemed almost like he'd been born for the role. Still, he couldn't blame the man for being reluctant to completely feel comfortable with it. Jamie had set the bar pretty high up there.

As Damian came down, James waved at him and noticed the hilt for his new sword. Which was odd because he never carried a sword. Maybe there was something special about that one. Shrugging, he waits for Jarvis's announcement.

Jack Goran|Dragon Fang Guild Hall

Jack opened the door to his office, which also served as his room in the guild hall, and looked out at the guild. The usual hustle and bustle was going about with Prince up on his beam, waiting to ambush which ever unfortunate soul he choose to pick on today. He smiled as Jackie and Shujin moved among the members, talking and laughing with them. Well, at least Shujin was. Jackie was simply familiarizing herself with everything. Still, it was good to see they were acclimatizing well. Jack was happy to see his guild was doing well, as another team of wizards came in and handed him their post job report and then grabbed another and set out.

Someone was always off working. Which was good. It helped the world accept magic for what it did for the good of people, not just see the bad. As he headed to their bar, he smiled at Ammy as she worked behind the counter and thanked her for his morning tea. He'd asked that as many of their guild as possible stick around for a special announcement, one that had the guild buzzing. Today he would announce the team for the Grand Magic Games. He hoped they would be alright with his choices.

Jake Ronan|Dragon Fang Training Hall

Jake Ronan and Hunter Jorgenson were in the training hall, once more having a go at it. Hunter was a persistent guy, determined to prove he was ready to be S-Class in the guild and to do that, he had it in his mind he had to best one of the S-Class wizards. "Jade Dragon's Blade!" Jake smiled as he dodged the extendable blade of the attack, using his Ax switch to equip his Shatterer's Hand Axes. Leaping forward, as the Dragon Slayer swings again, he blocks the jade blade with his left ax and brings the hilt of the right down on top of Hunter's head, knocking him to the ground. Spinning around, he brings both axes up.

"Shatterer's Earthen Fist!" The spell, which summons a fist from the earth, slams into the recovering Hunter and sends him into the ceiling and then back to the ground, which he taps three times to indicate he surrenders.

"Damn it, bested again." Standing up, the Dragon Slayer thanks Jake and heads back towards the main hall, leaving the S-Class wizard to chuckle lightly and brush himself off as he dismisses his axes.

"Ah, kid's got real guts, I'll give him that. Certainly closer to beating me than he realizes." Walking back into the guild hall, he waves at Master Jack and Ammy before sitting down to talk with one of the new members. Shujin I believe his name was. "So, Shujin, what do you think of the guild? Oh, and I hope you enjoyed the welcome to the guild party. One of our wilder events."

Ammy Silver|Dragon Fang Guild Hall

Ammy returned the guild masters smile with a small one of her own before returning to her duties as the bartender for the guild. She watched everyone as they milled about, some going on jobs, some coming back from jobs and others just relaxing and enjoying the day. She knew better though, she knew that most of the people sitting around were waiting to hear the announcement of the team for the Grand Magic Games. Ammy was, despite herself, excited a well. In all the time she'd been in the guild, there hadn't been an event like this.

She saw Jake come in and returned his wave, then pouring him his favorite drink for when he was done talking to Shujin. Afterwords, she fixed one of the guys at the bar, Jason, his burger. She liked working the bar, as it let her watch the whole guild and it let her be quiet. Even though she was one of the Guild's S-Class wizards, she didn't feel a need to make a fuss or be noticed. "It seems you've got the whole guild anticipating the announcement." Master Jack chuckled and nodded.

"That I do. Even you." Ammy blushes and nods.

Hunter Jorgenson

Hunter had gone back up to his room after such a disappointing loss, heading into the shower. Despite everything he knew, all the moves and such, Jake always bested him. And to be honest, he couldn't shake the feeling he wouldn't fair any better against Ammy. Sighing, he climbs in and washes real quick, making sure to scrub his hair. Even though he wasn't in that cave with Carnaphros anymore, he still found stray pieces of Jade in his hair on occasion. Must not have cleaned it all out before I left the cave to begin with. Wish the old dragon had at least helped me out before leaving... Shaking his head, Hunter climbs out and looks in the shower. To his surprise, no jade came out of his hair this time. Whooping in victory, he dries off and runs back downstairs, sliding into a chair and knocking it over.

"Alright Dragon Fang! Who's up for a round? Right here, right now." Several of his guild mates groaned and told him to tone it down and he grinned. "Round one then!" With a grin and a laugh, he leaps at the group that spoke up. "Jade Dragon's Claw! It seemed today was just another day in Dragon Fang.

Joslyn Veran|Shirotsume Town enroute to the Guild Hall

Joslyn walked through the streets of Shirotsume Town, enjoying the sights and sounds of the town as she walked. Stopping at one of the corner shops, she inhales the aroma of the baked goods and smiles. Just another day in paradise. Bet Zen will enjoy a muffin. Especially if Hunter's going at it again. Asking for a dozen muffins, she thanks the baker and pays the amount owed.

Turning to the guild hall, she hurries up her pace so she doesn't miss the announcement for the team that would be competing in the Grand Magic Games. The first Games in over a hundred years. She shook with nervous energy, having a hard time grasping that this was really happening and deciding that no matter who got to participate, she'd support them.

Zen Trentus|Dragon Fang Guild Hall

The day had been fine. That pest Hunter had been nowhere to be seen and Ammy got him his coffee and a bagel. He sat down and was taking his time eating the bagel and enjoying his coffee. He'd even started in on another fantasy novel, this one about a fire wizard who was determined to stop a shadow wizard from plunging the world into permanent darkness. It was a good read and he was already getting new Wind Make ideas when the voice sounded from over by the stairs. "Alright Dragon Fang! Who's up for a round? Right here, right now."

This illicited a groan from several people, Zen included. In fact, he was the most vocal about Hunter shutting up. "Shut up, Hunter. Some of us want a day without your incessant fight picking." Their demands where met with the grinning face of the Dragon Slayer as he leapt on those closer to him. "Round one then! Jade Dragon's Claw! The green energy wrapped hand slammed into a sand wizard, sending him flying into Zen and the two fell over. Zen stood and looked at Hunter with murder in his eyes as the Dragon Slayer exchanged blows with a Titan magic user.

"Alright you little pest, eat this! Wind Make: Torpedo Blast!" Multiple torpedoes made of the wind blasted towards the group of brawling wizards and found their marks, sending the group flying, including Hunter. At this point, chaos took over as the entire guild got involved, leaving Master Jack laughing at the scene.
