Joshua looked over at Angelo and frowned before turning towards the TV. While others were focused on Karn, he was more interested in the girl he was fighting.
"Sparkles? Is she a light mage?" He wondered out loud. Turly, the black horse in the race was Rider's Blade. They were a new guild and there was little known about some of it's members. The girl was one of them so finally seeing her in action should prove interesting and enlightening.

Jackie watch the match, if one could call it that, between Karn and Krystal. So far, nothing of interest had happened, but the girl's magic eluded her.
"Do you think she's a Light Mage?" She asked Master Jack, trying to discern what was causing the sparkles. They kept dimming and brightening at a rapid rate, so either some object was actually calling them or she was purposefully causing them to do that.

Jack watched the magic a moment longer before looking at the girl's hand and shaking his head. "No, I don't think she is. Look at her hand. That's a Maker Magic stance, but I couldn't say what kind."

After moping around for a few minutes on the streets of Crocus, a realisation hit Cody.
Why didn't he just ASK for DIRECTIONS?!? His face was subsequently in his palm soon after as he cursed his stupidity.
Muttered to himself as he got and dusted himself off, he went over to some random civilians who he assumed were locals asked them for directions to the stadium.

The person that Cody approached had his back turned to him. His height easily shadowed the defense mage and his bulging muscles look like they were made from thick beams of iron. The titan like figure turned around to look at the tiny, scrawny man before him. Despite how good looking he was, Levi had the face of a thug that said 'What do ya want bitch?' This guy looked like he would beat Cody in a dark ally, take his wallet, and then kick him while he was down. "You..." His voice sounded like smoked wood that was beaten against gravel and then ran over multiple times by a truck, a voice very similar to Clint Eastwood's. This was the voice of someone that would go Dirty Harry on someone's ass on a given notice. It really wasn't a wonder why people avoided him at all.

"Directions? Heh, sorry man, but I'm lost too!" He smiled brightly, chuckling nervously at admitting that he was lost as well. Levi tried asking others, but every time they saw him they just sputtered like they saw a towering monster and just rushed away from him without giving an answer. He couldn't place his finger on why people did that. He always approached them with a smile and spoke politely. Was it his breath? "Perhaps we could search together?"

Cody looked up the intimidating man towering over him, casting a huge shadow over him and was absolutely unperturbed by the man who looked like he had served several sentences in prison.
"You.." The man begun, his voice despite being so intimidating still not affecting cody at all.
"Directions? Heh, sorry man, but I'm lost too!" The man smiled brightly, chuckling nervously.
"So you're lost as well?" Cody muttered with a sigh as th scratched the back of his head.
"Perhaps we could search together?" The man suggested with a slight shrug.
"Sure, why not?" Cody shrugged his shoulders in a manner that suggested he had nothing to lose.
"The name is Cody Bloodstein, yours?" he asked, offering a handshake.

"YAY!" Levi clapped his hands excitedly and then grabbed Cody's hand, shaking it enthusiastically. "My name is Levi Ernest! I've been wandering this city for hours and no one seems to even want to look at me! They keep running away from me each time I approach them before I can say anything. You're the first to actually even approach me and not run away from me!" Tears welled up in his eyes. He sniffled and blew his nose with a piece of cloth that he kept around in his pocket. "It's my first time in a city this big. I have no idea where to go and all of these tall building just make me so dizzy and there's so many people here. It's all so scary!" He looked like he was about to burst into tears at any given moment. How could a man that looked like a professional weightlifter be such a spineless scaredy cat? It was like an elephant being afraid of a mouse! It's ridiculous! It's true what they say about never judging a book by its cover, but was the content really so drastically different from the exterior?

He somehow calmed himself down so as to not to keep making a scene. They were getting odd looks from people around them, whispering to each other cautiously. From an outsider's perspective it looked like a gay couple breaking up and Levi was taking it hard. Many of the odd looks were glares aimed straight towards Cody and the whispering grew less discreet.

"Um, sorry about that...I get a bit emotional sometimes." He rubbed the back of his head and grinned shyly.

Cody nodded slowly as he looked at the strange man in front of him. Suppose the old saying was true, don't judge a book by its cover. I mean here there was, a man who looked like a mercenary for hire acting like some scared child.
At least he didn't seem to be a bad person at least anyway.
Cody sighed again before twirling on his heels and walking off, gesturing for Levi to follow him. The sooner they found the stadium the better.

As they walked they were finally making their way into Crocus. The two of them weren't exactly unusual in a crowd of people so they weren't really bothered as they passed. Besides, apparently some other event nearby had the public murmuring. Ariel wasn't aware of that though because she was racking her brain trying to figure out what to do. Apparently she's seduced Nolan into loving her. On one hand it meant she kind of succeeded, but it probably wouldn't last forever and she slightly worried about the retribution that would come from that.

Thankfully Nolan seemed to be taking it in stride. Surely he was having more trouble dealing with this than she. Really, he was having to act completely contrary to himself. Ariel didn't know it but there was a reason Charm magic was outlawed 100 years ago. In the new age of magic not all of those rules were as well remembered or publicized. Either way when Nolan said it was okay she relaxed a little bit. "Well that's good to hear. I'll try and not make this any worse than I already have." Twiddling her thumbs Nolan said something odd. Glancing up and taking a breath to say something she was suddenly met with Nolan leaning closer. Surprised she leaned back from Nolan but the kiss met its mark.

Freezing, there was an awkward moment where they two just stood there while people went about their business. Ariel was in shock from Nolan's action. After what seemed like forever she slowly stepped back. Her cheeks were flushed, naturally, and she wasn't entirely sure what to do or say. That was uh... awkward." This was definitely was not how she envisioned her first actual kiss coming about. Awkward, maybe, but not because she'd forcefully enchanted anyone.

Marlene Evangeline

Marlene chuckles a bit at Enma's response.

"It's cray-cray actually haha," she responds light heartedly, "And sure while I don't usually drink, this will really help me recover from this crazy~"

But as she was walking beside Enma, she happens to look to her right... and see Nolan. And what was Nolan doing? Kissing a girl that is! Now Marlene would normally ignore anyone kissing someone else... but this is Nolan.

"D-day..."

And for some damn reason behold, she's not only getting... should I say, 'hot'... but also kinda mad. I mean, literally mad. And that anger is rising! And I'm sorry, I don't know WHY! And even she doesn't even know why. Her eyes begin to grow a bright emerald green, almost covering her whole pupils. She clenches her fists as she starts to shake slightly in several violent jerks.

"W-W-Why am I a-acting like thi-this?" she thinks to herself as she struggles to control herself, "Why am I l-like this w-w-when I see t-that Nolan guy k-k-kissing that g-girl? W-what is this f-feeling I-I'm...?"

See. Even she doesn't know. But now her emotions have taken over. And almost like a stone-cold zombie, she sneaks past the crowd and approaches the two. She comes behind Ariel and looms ominously over her, her pupils' solid emerald, her aura intensely prominent, and her fingers squirming around to touch and bring death to anything they touch.

"HELLO... BITCH. WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK YOUR DOING?" she growls ominously as she looks down upon Ariel in a stare that would almost paralyze anyone in her gaze.

HELLO... BITCH.

NOLAN and ENMA

Nolan's eyes widened as soon as he realized what he was doing and his face flared up once again. What was his mind and body doing going on autopilot like that?! His first kiss too no less... "Oh god, I am so sorry Ariel. I couldn't control myself...these stupid vexing feelings. I know your magic is influencing my actions, but that isn't an excuse." He sighed, his fingers ran through his hair as he tried to gather his thoughts. Showing a rare soft smile he said,"Still...I guess under these circumstances I'm glad that at least my first kiss was with you and not some random person, charmed or not." His eyes widened against as he realized what he just said. "I mean it's still not okay that I kissed you like that nor telling you to take responsibility for what you did. Er, the kiss didn't feel bad, but erm, crap I'm only digging a deeper hole for myself aren't I?" Nolan took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. There wasn't a need to be so anxious. This will work itself out in the end, right? There had to be a silver lining to all of this.

"Listen, perhaps this is the charm talking or I'm really am going out of my mind, but maybe this is a blessing in disguise? It would be just about impossible for me to form romantic relationships or whatever you want to call his so maybe...Gah, no it wouldn't be fair for you to do that. I don't want you to force you into it if it's out of guilt or a sense of duty. That would only make us both miserable. Nolan heaved a heavy sigh and rubbed his forehead with his right hand. "I think I'm going to need a strong drink la-" A sense of dread shot through his entire body as he saw rage incarnate standing right behind Ariel. Wait a minute, wasn't that Marlene? What the hell was up with her and why did she look like she was going to murder Ariel.

Quickly he stepped in between them and kept Ariel behind him. Ariel was completely defenseless now that she had lost the ability to use magic for who knows how long. Judging by the choice of words Marlene picked he could guess that she was beyond livid with her at this point. "What in the hell has gotten into you Marlene? This isn't how you treat someone who's a member of your own guild!" The embarrassment and bewilderment from before had been replaced with Nolan's trademarked icy, cold son of a bitch attitude that he was known for.

Meanwhile, Enma stood with Gabriel still and scratched his head wondering just what had gotten into Marlene. "Huh, I wonder why she ran off."

Nolan was babbling again it seemed. At least not he actually knew what was going on, not that he had any control of himself it seemed. He apparently was conflicted about the situation. While that was something Ariel expected she did not see him ever suggesting that this was a good thing. Like he said, it could be the charm doing the talking. So she had to take everything he said and did with a grain of salt.

While trying to work out what to say a sense of doom came over her. Turning around she saw the glowing green eyes of Marlene. She looked half crazy and Ariel suddenly felt quite small. Who the hell was this and what was her problem? Reaching behind her Ariel tried to find her chain whip but apparently didn't have it. Right, she didn't have it on her when she was teleported. Great, without that or her magic she was pretty well defenseless. However Nolan seemed to come to the rescue by stepping between them. Letting out a small sigh of relief it appeared that this was someone new to the guild. Likely just a misunderstanding, hopefully.

Marlene Evangeline

But Marlene didn't listen to Nolan as her eyes were fixed straight on Ariel. She was pissed. Half-crazy? That's a total understatement. More like, BAT-SHIT crazy! Her hands begin to turn into crystals as she prepares for combat. Her inner mind is telling her stop, but her body and outer emotions refuse to listen.

"THAT WOMAN IS A TRAITOR!" she begins to growl, raising her voice, "SHE'S TRYING TO KILL YOU! ALLOW ME TO SAVE YOU NOLAN!"

And it was there... that hell breaks loose. Marlene's fist begins to retaliate as it would miss Nolan's head by a few inches, headed straight to Ariel's facial region. If Nolan would try to retaliate, his hand would most likely be accidentally destroyed by such an incoming force. It was then that Marlene would leap over him and lunge at the other woman like a savage tiger!

"GET AWAY FROM HIM YOU BITCH!" she roars as she starts a fight at hand.

NOLAN

What in the world? Was she out of her mind?! Marlene was just yelling nonsense and now threw a punch straight past his head and towards Ariel. The attack hardly phased him at all through. Quickly he unsheathed his katana, Kaso, and swung it against her fist to parry the attack. The force of her attack was great, but he wasn't a weakling that couldn't take brute force on. Those months of training with Karn, Enma, and the yokai village were beginning to pay off. "Enough! I don't want to hurt you Marlene!" His plead when unheard by the livid woman. She really had a vehement hate for Ariel and he had to stop her before she could cause some real damage. If she was a savage tiger then Nolan was simply going to need to put her down, at least to the point she didn't have the will to fight anymore. If he went all out he would kill her, that was certain.

He sheathed Kaso with haste and held out his hand, a faint blue light shone by his hand and from it appeared one of the blades contracted to his soul, Hermes, the god slaying sword. The blade enhanced his already impressive speed even further. He dashed towards Marlene and appeared in front of her, cutting her off from Ariel. "Bind!" Glowing white cuffs and shackles made of souls appeared around her wrist and ankles though he didn't anticipate them working for long. He turned towards Ariel and yelled, "Run! I can't defend and fight at the same time!" He could've used his second origin to bind her or defeat her in a single blast, but he couldn't afford to expend much power because of the damn games.

Gabreil

Gabriel wasn't too sure what to reply, as Marlene ran off, watching her, he could heard the shouting, and figured they might just have to step in. He looked to Enma, and said "Why do women have to be so crazy?" before walking off in the direction Marlene had gone. He arrived in time to see her a guy yelling at someone else to run, and Gabriel blinked.

Marlene appeared bound, and clearly ticked off, crazy like. Heaving a sigh, gabriel stepped forward, but didn't say anything, unsure of what to say, let alone do. What was going on here?

Karn vs Krystal

"Ah, that's my little secret, little kitty cat." She said, smirking a bit."Of course, if you want to find out, you'll have to make me take you more seriously. Right now, I can take you about as seriously as a two year old."

Karn purred as fluttered his wings so he lifted off her arms humming a little. "Weeeeeellll you can attack me. Fear me. And my fluffy power." he purred as he prodded at her forehead like he was punching, but it would only feel like fluff balls being thrown at her.

Krystal sighed, facepalming herself. This guy... this guy was unbelievable. He was taking this nowhere near seriously. And she was losing her temper. Though she had to admit, if she could get out of this without revealing her magic, then it was a major plus for her team. Reaching out, she quickly grabbed Karn's tail before slamming him into the ground as hard as she could.

Karn felt his tail being grabbed and he let out a shrill squeal as he was thrown to be slammed on the ground. But his body transformed into a giant purple snake, his tail grappling her arm before his body went to wrap around her body in bind as his paralyzingly fangs opened and went to crunch against her shoulder.

Krystal was surprised by Karn's sudden transformation and barely reacted in time to stop his from biting her shoulder. The sparkles around them moved towards her shoulder and covered it, resulting in Karn's fang's completely shattering on contact with whatever they were made of, which was incredibly hard. The sparkles then moved up and began battering Karn's head repeatedly. They were small though and more of a nuisance then anything else.

Karn gave a his as his fangs snapped, then sparkles starting to batter at his head. He hissed as his body squeezed tighter before transforming again, but this time into a tiny ant. Falling into the back of her shirt before transforming again into the draconic cat. Sparatically clawing like a cat in a bag and breathing tiny balls of golden fire, molten not yet still not as powerful as his Eastern Chimera form. Perhaps not the most elegant tactic, but he didn't wish to go all out on his Chimera form just yet since it consumed quite a lot of magic. That and he wasn't yet sure how to deal with this magic. A rock hard defense made of diamond. His flames were very powerful and his Chimera fangs could pierce rock, but he'd rather not try it out on diamond. Loosing fangs as a snake hurt enough.

"What the... Where the hell do you think you are?! I swear if you're there just to..." Krystal shouted, her face turning red and she tried to grab ahold of Karn to get him out of the back of her shirt before he could cut or burn anything she didn't want him to. She definitely didn't want her top to get set on fire or shred to bits. Once she finally got ahold of him, she pulled him out and put in front of her so they were face to face, though hers was a magnificent shade of red now."What do you think you're doing you pervy cat?!"

In the blink of an eye Ariel's life was both threatened and saved before she could really react. Ariel had forgotten how slow she could be without magic to assist her. What was even going on anyway? Had she done something to deserve this? Of course she moved away from her attacker even before Nolan said anything.

But then she was told to run. It took a few seconds for the order to click and even then she didn't do it right away. Shaking off her stupper Ariel turned toward the arena and ran toward it. She had a general idea of where the rest of the guild was from the talk before the games started. The bunch couldn't be that hard to find. With any luck that crazed woman was the only one after her for god knows what.

As Gabriel stepped forward, he could feel an armored hand land on his shoulder and pull him away from the scene. "I must apologize, but this seems it is Phoenix Wing business. We can handle it." When Gabriel turned around, he'd find the hand that had rested on his shoulder bore a large round shield and a sword resting sheathed on the same hip, though the other hand rested on the hilt. Clearly this man was ready to step in if needed. "Artemis, do you mind going and checking on Ariel? I...don't recall her coming with the guild, but clearly this has her shaken."

Gabriel dug his heels into the ground to prevent himself being pulled away, and stepped back, and glared at the guy trying to stop him "no offense, but Marlene has already been attacked once today, and it was my guild that helped her, so I'm going to stick around" he said, "and I'd appreciate if you didn't manhandle me when I'm trying to help" he added in an annoyed tone

James raised an eyebrow under his helmet, but the next few words left little room for argument. "The help is appreciated, but she is in our guild, making her our responsibility. And in this situation, Marlene is clearly the aggressor, even if I'm not sure why. So kindly take your nose out of our guild's business. Nolan is also in our guild, so he's not 'attacking' anyone anymore than I attempted to manhandle you." His eyes quickly returned to Nolan and Marlene, seeing what the suddenly pissed and out of control woman would do and if he would need to step in and assist Nolan.

While he had no doubts about the Ash God Slayer's abilities, Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned, and Marlene looked awfully scorned right then.

It was clear to Gabriel that this guy was one of those "it's mine!" And disliked sharing, even if it was good for them. That this guy was just uptight and a bit of a douche added to Gabriel's dislike of the man. "since when do I have to be in the same guild to be friends? Get over yourself, I simply want to make sure Marlene is okay. Obviously something about, Nolan was it? And the other girl set her off, so frankly, I'd rather stay. Friendship don't end at a guild mark" he said, refusing to be budged. Turning. Away from the man, Gabriel crossed his arms and watched Marlene, dismissing the guy from his mind, wondering what had happened to send Marlene like this. Of course, having ones clothes burned away could leave anyone on edge, so there was that too.

As Cody was beginning to work off he heard a loud commotion and could feel the presence of powerful magic-Wait could this be his chance?
"New plan. We head for the source of that commotion!" Cody licked his lips in anticipation. Where there was magic, there were wizards.
Where there were wizards, there was the possibility of a guild
If there was the possibility of a guild, then maybe they could help him get to the stadium! Yes his plan was flawless!
He soon broke into a sprint, not noticing if Levi was actually following him or not as he felt the adrenaline pumping in his veins. This feeling....this strange, indescribable feeling he was having. Excitement? No. Similar but not quite.
Hope? Yes....Hope that he might finally be able to find Phoenix Wing and finally fulfil his dreams.

When he arrived at the scene of the disturbance he noticed it was a fight which had broken out between a man and a woman with green hair; the woman looking like rage incarnate. The man was protecting another woman and Cody watched as she ran off suddenly. Probably for the best as she would probably get in the way.
Cody quickly took a deep breath, focusing on the environment around him. He had decided that if any stray attacks were to go and hit the city he would use his magic to stop them.
