Jarvis's and Mayt's round up part 3
Jarvis have a soft sigh. When you did things that got attention, everyone knew who you were. Mayt hasn't done as much as Damain nor Penny, at least not here.
In edolas...that was a different story.
"yes, he is. You don't need to be well known to be an S class Mage.
You said family, if You have children, what sort of life are you giving them if you get yourself killed or imprisioned?""I know you don't have to be well known, but they typically do things to be noticed." The thief sighed softly, and smirked as Jarvis pointed out the potential problems with being a thief.
"What do you think the other six guys were about? There are people who'll make sure my family is fed and clothed and housed for as long as they need to be if something happens to me." That seemed to be all he wanted to say on that subject.
That answe didn't please Jarvis, and he deliberately stepped closer, glaring
"that may be, but your death would destroy them even with support. You can't come back the same from the death of someone you love, and if you want to do that to then you deserve to be locked away" he said, his voice deadly shaking his head in disgust
The thief put his hands up as Jarvis came closer.
"Calm down! Christ, you act like thieving's more dangerous then what you do. Magic Guilds do jobs that are far more dangerous than anything I've ever done, and I'm sure you don't harass them about it constantly. I'm sure some of them have some kind of family, but go out vulcan hunting or whatever anyway." He seemed to be getting just a tad annoyed now, and he kept talking.
"On top of that, why don't you go harass some people that hunt for a living? They die more often than thieves do. Or construction workers for that matter! That's dangerous work too, and they could die and leave their families alone." Jarvis clearly had struck a chord with this guy.
Jarvis couldn't believe the arrogance of him, and he glared furiously,
"the difference there is that you hurt people. The difference there is we have magic to defend us. The difference is we don't attack innocence simply to meet our own needs. The difference is, we have a fund for survivors of a Mage dies. The difference is, we protect and you don't" he said, shaking his head,
"the difference is, they do honest work and don't simply thieve from people that do!"The thief scoffed and rolled his eyes.
"I'm sure people are absolitely devastated whenever they come home and can't find one of their nice plates or some of their books." His voice was dripping with sarcasm.
"I don't delude myself that this is honest or good work, it keeps my family fed and clothes. That matters to me more than being in the moral right." He had raised his voice some towards the end of his rebuttal, and once he was finished, he murmured something along the lines of;
"Besides, some rich people don't exactly do 'honest' work either."Mayt stuck his head around the corner of the rocks, looking at Jamie.
"It's going to be harder to get information out of him if you keep riling him up like you are. You're not going to change his mind by pissing him off so much he might consider upping his criminal status from thief to killer." "And if he does do that, then we will track him down and throw him tot he magic councils mercy, and they aren't that kind. I'm trying to stop a chain of thieves from coming, because chances are, his children will be theives too" Jarvis said, but sighed, and shifted.
"Where is your hide out? Maybe if you tell us, we won't have to do anything too drastic" May as well get this over with
As Jarvis responded to Mayt, he just shrugged and moved back around the rock, throwing his hand over his head and making a quiet 'whoosh' sound with his mouth. The thief narrowed his eyes as Jarvis insulted his parenting ability, and he shook his head when he asked where his hideout was.
"Who, in their right mind, would give up their friends just because some jackass asked him to?" Was the thief's only response.
"who in their right mind would attack a train to steal from others?" Jarvis shot back, stepping closer until he was nearly touching the bandit.
"I'll ask once more nicely, where is the hide out?" he said, his voice dropping to a lower, almost deadly tone, looking directly at the theif, just wanting this over with
Karn vs Krystal FINAL!
Quickly, Karn charged toward the diamond make of his form before transforming again into the draconic cat and jumped in its head. Running along the spine before jumping off again.
"So. You wanna play copycat? Okay!" Karn chirped cheerfully before transforming again into a exact look alike copy of Kyrstal.
Looking himself over, Karn hummed in his now copied Krystal voice before giggling and twirling in a circle.
"Pretty." 'she' cheered before smiling innocently and waving to the crowd cheerfully with both of 'her' arms.
"Helllllooooo everyone!" 'she' chirped gleefully, acting like 'she' wasn't at all serious with the fight and going back to playing around.
Humming as 'she' skipped around, she then raised her hands curiously and started running them over 'her' body in a curious manner.
"Wow, so cool all that magic comes out of this body. Pretty like a diamond." 'she' giggled. Taking some time to have a little fun, and take a little breather.
Krystal clenched her fist and began shaking in anger as magical energy began surrounding her. She felt absolutely furious and wanted nothing more then to pound Karn into the ground until he couldn't move for the rest of the week. Just as she was about to proceed with said plan, she heard Siegard's voice in her head as she recalled the training he had put her through, in particular when it came to remaining calm. Everyone but Pyrrha had gone through that training. Taking a deep breathe to calm herself, the magical aura around her vanished and she sat down on the ground with her eyes closed. She needed to calm her mind, make is as clear as a well polish diamond. So she just sat there, waiting for Karn to make his, at this rate, last move.
Karn hummed a little as he danced around as 'Krystal' with a cheerful glee. After all, she did copy his father so it's fair play to copy her. And he was quite better at it. After all, her diamonds didn't actually look like the person, nor could she emulate the extreme power of the Eastern Chimera. It was a difficult and tiring magic. Another reason he was taking a breather. Though he did want to get under her skin as well to make her more sloppy in her anger. So he hummed as he slowly undid the bow then the belt, making the little clothes this body had looser, threatening to fall off. Yet he just hummed happily.
"Heya big boys! Hope you're enjoying the show!" 'Krystal' Karn chirped gleefully, blowing a kiss to the crowd and winking. When he saw her sit down he grinned before transforming again. This time into a dog sized mole and diving underground. Transforming into his human form, he took a deep breath, his human body frailer in his current condition but saved some energy.
"Eastern Chimera... Explosion!" Karn said, golden flames surrounding his body before exploding outward, heating up the earth around him. Some of the flames burning through earth before exploding above. Heating up the ground like walking on heated rocks. Transforming into his draconic feline form quickly, he rode the flames through the earth to be launched up in the air before transforming back into his human form, clasping his hands over his mouth and taking a deep breath as his mouth glowed with golden flames.
"Eastern Chimera Roar!" He shouted before launching the large torrent of fire heading toward his opponent. With both up and down heated, it wouldn't be a surprise if her clothes did indeed burn off.
Krystal didn't have time to get up from her sitting position to dodge the attack before it landed. As the flames vanished, something landed by Krystal's side and kicked up a wall of dirt around her. When the wall fell back the ground, Fraquar stood next to her. Krystal was kneeling on the ground wearing his coat and keeping it tightly around her while her face was bright red, though this was masked by the curtain of hair that now surrounded it.
Fraquar was glaring daggers at Karn but made move to attack the Phoenix Wing mage, instead turning to the referee.
"
Rider's Blade has lost this match. I do not wish for my member to me humiliated on national T.V. So, will you at least let me carry her out?" He asked
Games Master Sheldon seemed at a loss for words. The whole thing just seemed....anti clamtic, and he seemed taken aback when Fraquar approached, hesitating, looking to Karn at the glare,
"Uh, uh Of course, Master Fraquar! It was a fantastic battle, she couldn't humiliate you! Go on, go on though! Poor thing, such a hard battle!"Announcer Jessie
@hatakekuro"Well now it seems like we've been waiting for this battle to end for a looooooooong time! And boy, was it worth it! Karn from Phoenix Wing has won the last battle of the day, and what a fantastic win! I'm sure no one would have thought he could, given the start of the battle, but damn, that transformation magic is a-ma-zing! Wouldn't you say so Ferrin?" Jessie was leaning against the bench top, excitedly speaking, fast and eager.
Penny
As Marlene and Samir left, Penny let out a soft sigh, relieved that that had gone...well. Exhausted, she flopped down onto Damian's bed, looking to the lacrima as things seemed to heat up on the battle, following the last few interactions, breath held as...Karn won. She let out a cheer, almost jumping up as if she could do something when Riders Blade's Guild Master glared at Karn, but nothing seemed to come out of it.
Relieved again, she set the lacrima aside, and waited for Damian to be finished. The day had seemed so event filled that it was ridiculous, it felt like this day had gone on for a month rather then a day.
Master Jamie
@burthstone@crimson raven@yoshua171Assuming that Ferris would follow, Jamie made her way up to the room she had seen the candle, whistling as if everything was normal. Without waiting for an invitation, Jamie got the door open, hesitating only briefly to take out a negate lacrima, activating it just in case there was someone in there who would attack first, before opening the door,
"Mithera!"
