He's welcome to try, but she's no slouch in the magic or combat department.

I expect that though I still think Nolan would come out as the winner. <.<

xD And right after she smacked Dalton out of the way too. Animal abuser and tactless.

*ignores*

Ignoring would have been not responding to my post. Yet you quoted it and posted ignores so you didn't ignore. Get gud kid.

The way I look at battles, is it's a try on the part of both parties. Winner is whoever wins a coin toss or something IRL.

That's one way to take all the fun out of it.

The idea isn't to take all the fun out of it, just to keep it fair. Realistically, who REALLY wants to have their character loose?

You can hardly call it a win when its all decided by a random number generator.

Really, it's just up to whoever takes the most damage. We're all decent enough rpers to know when our characters are and should get hurt.

That's kind of the opposite of a fair fight tbh. Good RP combat is about realistically outmaneuvering your opponent, the winner will generally be the smarter and/or stronger character. It isn't about wanting to lose, in a good RP the winner tends to end up being kind of clear cut. The only time I've seen players egregiously go out of their way to not lose, they tend to be godmodding and in those cases they get called out. In a good RP you should never need to decide a fight by using an outside source that boils down to chance.

I usually don't like battle situations with other people. So normally I let others win. It gets too stressful for me.

If you cannot agree, how about sharing the details of your characters (including any surprises, trump cards or hidden whatever that have/can do) with Caits, Expolar, amd Zarkoon-sama or with a few of us (in PMs) and they can vote on who wins?

If you can't agree, and you don't want a coin toss, this is the only method I can think of that would be fair.

Really the way I see it, the one who was being most strategic about it is the one that usually wins. Sure overwhelming power, but that means nothing when the enemy tricks you so hard into their own trap and just destroy you with it. Really battles are just to see who can out maneuver who. Cause if you coin toss the crap you would have someone like Harry (Just an example) win against someone like Indigo, despite the boy getting thrown around like a ragdoll.

Hi.

It is decided by randomness for the actual picking of the battles

The wins are decided by the content in the battle
