The biggest lie in this game is that there are only 18 gyms. First off, that is already an insane amount, but due to the story there are actually like 20 gyms. -_-

Okay, I'll also try to summarize the entire miniarc I did, because a. You need to understand it to make sense of the post b. It would probably be useful for me and GMs, and C, because I want to. :}

I'm still drousy but hopefully it will make sense.

Its pretty long though. I can't really give you a short version if you are going to understand it.

If you realy don't care, I will include the tldr of my post.

Like hundreds of other wizards, Ferrin arrived at the magic games. His original plan was to join a guild, mainly because he was flat broke and needed a sourse of income. However, he met a strange kid who claimed to be two people in one body. And they needed help. Ferrin very reluctantly accepted. They then talked, and Introduced themselves as twins Colt and Claire. They told Ferrin several key pieces of information, one, they were being hunted by a necromancer of considerable power, two, that same person was planning something, and three, they were under a very rare spell called Law of Retrogression that dampered their magic ability and caused them to like like a kid, on top of also been pulled out of their original bodies and put together in that one. The necromancer attacked, but Ferrin fended them off. He relize that he had to find them first, otherwise they could just keep sending undead after them and never have to reveal themselves. At this point, he wanted to bring them somewhere safe so he could do some investigation on his own.

(Oof. My memory of this next part is a little sketchy)

He found Cait's Time Lord, whom he had previous (and possibly future? Huhehue) dealings with and asked him to keep an eye on them. He wasn't too happy about that. He passed them off to another clan member.

Ferrin, meanwhile, went to a library to follow up on some suspicions he had. Its turned out to be true. He read that the Grand Magic Games go far back into the past and once was known as the Dragon King Festival. Little else information was there, other then a massive battle took place.

Unable to find anything else of interest, he left, but he was confronted by the Rune Knights who wanted him for questioning concerning an earlier incident that involved Burthstone's Mithera, and (guild name? Shit, I forgot). Ferrin being Ferrin, taunted them and pulled a disappearing act.

A little out of ideas, and needing to blend it, Ferrin decided to try heading to the Arena, probably the largest current concentration of mages. There, he had a ranther sinister encounter with Lugubrious's Nero while sensing for necromatic magic (that is what lead him to Nero). Finding the roar of the croud and the sheer pressure of so much magic there was doing merry hell on his head, he gave up the search. Upon leaving the Arena, though, he thought he sense necromancy so he persued its source. That lead him to Raijinslayer's Nidhogg and the first Battle of the Dome woth other (player) wizards.

Ferrin couldn't do much, and Nidhogg escaped. While Ferrin wasn't absolutely sure he was the one he was looking for, he decided to keep looking for him. Also, he was mildly pissed at Nidhogg. But before he could resume his search, something else caught his attention. It was Expolar's Grant (Grane? Fuck if I know) Using Arc of Time to fix some of the damage caused. Seaking time magic for his own reasons, Ferrin decided to follow him until he could have a word with him in privet. (he is a member of the Magic Council)

Grant told Ferrin about his magic, and the events concerning Phoenix Wing's clash with the formor magic council, giving him much to think on.

They parted ways peacefully.

It was getting late, and after all the fighting and running around, Ferrin was hungry. Unfortunately, he was also nearly pennyless. So he did some pickpocketing for money, which he boight ingredients with. Then he found and picked up the Twin, and they headed out of town because the necromancer seemed to be able to find them. Out a ways from the city, they made camp. Ferrin and the Twin talked a bit, while Ferrin cooked. After the meal, they fell asleep.

Next day, Ferrin slept in.

They gathered their stuff and when back into town. Long hours of fruitless searching later, they turned up nothing. They didn't even get attacked. All the time he was in Crocus, Ferrin kept feeling a stange magic but he worte it off as Crocus. It was a city steeped im magic for centuries. It would make sense that there might be magical residue.

But suddenly, almost miraculously, Ferrin felt magic that he could definitely identify as belonging to the person they were looking for. Ferrin persued it, but it lead it right to Nidhogg again, facing down a group of other (player) wizards and the Second Battle of the Dome. (During the battle, the Twin hid in a nearly by alley.

This battle ended in Ferrin tossing Nidhogg into a building, then recklessly blowing it and him up up with magic. Not to mention every window and glass within nearly a block.

Fortunately for him, Time Lord showed up, contemptiously told Ferrin off, and fixed a great deal of damage he caused. Nidhogg himself retreated.

Time Lord gave some cryptic words, and vanished.

While Ferrin was pondering the words, he went to find the Twin.

But they weren't there. They had been recaptured by the mysterious necromancer.

Then something strange happened. A combination of several factors (including a powerful source of magic that was another wizard that was being fought by other characters) lead to Ferrin being overloaded through his useful magical sense, and collapsing.

A mental exchange between Ferrin and a mysterious entity followed. When he came to, he was better, although a little worse for wear. In an attempt to pull himself together, and make a plan, he visted a small pub for some simple coffee and a place to think.

There, with some inspiration, he put some of the information he had collected together and realized that the necromancer's plan was simple. They drew a massive magic circle across the city that would act as a net to gather in all the ambiant magic from the thousands of wizards there, then she could use that massive amount of magic with her magic in a ritual to attempt to resurrect a dragon. The strange magic he had felt over Crocus must have been the lines of the magic circle. It seemed sound, but he had to test it. First he found an an area of the magic, then using some measurements, he found that it did indeed form a magic circle. He reasoned that the caster would be found at the center.

Just then, he felt the circle activate. The city was mostly empty because the final battle of the GMG was starting, so there was no one else around but the wizards locked in combat.

Ferrin had to go in alone.

He followed the circle, then when he found his way blocked, he reasoned the caster was underground. So down he went. Unfortunately, his entrance was right above a nearly frozen lake. Sploosh.

Wether by luck or skill, Ferrin found the Necromancer rather quickly. The glowing magic circle helped.

After they exchange words, Combat ensued, which brings you to my most recent post.

Okay, what you actually asked for. Tldr Spoilers for the post.

Ferrin is fighting a necromancer, whose name is Yuura Kumori, who is trying to use a big ass magic circle and a ritual to revive a Dragon for her own ends. It could be roughly broken down into four parts. First part is Ferrin vs Yuura and her summoned army of undead. The Twin is unconscious(?) at her feet, and she is behind a magic barrier. Ferrin fights his way through her zombies to shatter the barrier, and attack her. Last moment, the Twin tell him to alter his target, and he does. (He wasn't going to make it anyway) He cuts through a amulet that contained the Law of Retrogression spell that was cast on the Twin, breaking the spell. (More on the how and why in the epilogue)

Part B is a breif interlude. With the spell broken, the Twin also break free of their bonds, and Colt, one of the twins who wields poweful glacier magic, hits everything with a flash freeze. Believing the necromancer deafeted and the ritual stoppd, they turn to head out. But Yuura is very much alive(?) she shatters the ice, activates the circle, and the dragon begins to take form.

Part C is Ferrin and the Twin vs Yuura and zombies with the reanimating dragon looming in the background. Ferrin takes Yuura on directly, while the Twin handle the undead.

After a close battle, Ferrin catches her by surprise and defeats her, ultimately killing her in cold blood.

Part D, Ferrin and the Twin believe its finally over, but Yuura is still alive, she drags herself over and completes the ritual.

The dragon forms. But the dragon did not want to revive. With the simple power of its will, it blasted the spell apart, leaving Ferrin and the Twin in awe.

And that is what I have so far. There are plenty of other details, such as another mysterious figure who seems to command Yuura.

Ahh fuck shit. I forgot something I wanted to add. I'm making an edit to the last part of the post that will be reather interesting.

Edit: Done. Ferrin had a last conversation with his fallen foe.

Looking at it like that, its not a bad job, considering this took nearly a year, and had many people involved.

I still have to write an epilogue to really get Ferrin caught up.
