Kennedy listened to the man, giving a small nod. Yet, she was still confused as to how he had gotten there. "I see..." She felt in her pocket for her carton of cigarettes, only to remember she had given the last one to Jefferey and then vowed to quit. Cursing under her breath, she looked back to the strange man. "Well, what is it you need of me and my gang?" She fiddled her fingers and tapped her foot lightly on the ground.

"Someone steal from you? Beat you up? Take your girl or somethin'?" She raised an eyebrow as she spoke, wondering what it is he could possibly need their help with. Sneaky guy like him should be able to take care of his own affairs. But hey, she wasn't one for turning down business. "My boys ought to be here soon enough, if this matter of yours is an urgent one."

"I can assure you Mrs. It's important." He said with a very serious tone "I'm not from Columbia here. And once I tell you my story you'll probably think I'm crazy but please believe me. I'm from a city that lies under the ocean floor but not and ocean here in Columbia. It's in another dimension, my dimension. That explains my weird clothes" he said finishing then taking a big breath before continuing on "in that city I was a prisoner of a group of scientists trying to experiment on me and maybe hundreds of others in order to gain the ability to create tears in the universe and travel between dimensions. As far as I know I'm the only one who the procedures worked on and I've came here to ask the knights of songbird for help in freeing the other captives." He said panting from saying it to quickly. "But where are my manners. I'm Jonathan. Nice to meet you" he said with his hand stuck out for a hand shake.

Clarence leaned against the wall of the candy shop in Shantytown, watching the people of Columbia. He had just finished filing the report, leaving out the Dreaded Crow to avoid the reprimands for preventing his escape. He would have to return to the Soldier's Field area, look for any clues that might help him find their whereabouts. The mistakes he had made, they were mistakes a rookie would make. He groaned, pushing himself away from the wall. The alley he was standing in was dark and littered with garbage, it seemed like this would be the place that he would find a victim. He fixed his overcoat, adjusted his tie, and stepped out into the street. Suddenly, a body slammed into him, knocking him off balance. He quickly caught himself on the wall, regaining his footing. He turned, looking at the man who had collided with him. The man was taller than Clarence, with a powerful stance that would intimate most. The man was a darker complexion than most, maybe of mixed race? Clarence spoke first, "Pardon me." He glanced down, noticing he had knocked a bag out of the man's hands. "Let me get that for you." Clarence bent down, picking up the bag, allowing a glance at its contents. It was clothing, black as a... crow. Clarence narrowed his eyes, standing up slowly. He locked eyes with the man, not making a move due to the large amount of civilians nearby.

Kennedy watched the man with narrowed eyes, listening to his story. As he continued speaking, his story became more and more unbelievable. His words came out faster and faster until he was out of breath with his last word. Kennedy couldn't help but laugh lightly to herself, a wide smile appearing on her face. "That's a good one mister." She laughed a little more until she looked back to the man, seeing on his face that he was being completely serious. "You aren't joking are you?"

As his hand extended in greeting, she returned the gesture. She shook his hand and then composed herself. "Nice to meet you as well. I'm Kennedy." She let out a long breath and stared at the floor for a moment before looking back up. "Okay so... you live in an underwater city... from another dimension?" She swallowed, her mouth becoming dry. "Like, a different world?" Her head was spinning a little. "Okay Jonathan, these 'tear' things... you can... open them?" A puzzled look remained on her face. Hurry up boys... not sure if I can handle this one much longer.

"Yes and yes. I know this is beyond overwhelming but it's the truth non the less." He said with a smile "so Kennedy who else do you thinks going to show up? I'm just assuming that more people are coming here considering it's the knights of songbird and not the knight of songbird." He said trying to take her mind off of thinking about the whole alternate dimensions stuff and so on.

He knew how she felt. When he had first been drafted into the tear projects he and the others were forced to watch a video explaining theories of alternate dimensions and the impacts they could have on each other if interacted with in the wrong way. It had all been very mind boggling but he had finally gotten used to it after all those years in that cursed asylum.

Dan gingerly lapped up the remaining whiskey in his glass as soon as he felt the pang of a needle pierce his skin. He held himself together as best he could, the whiskey burning down on its way to his stomach, warming him and giving him a slight relief.

When Jeff had finished, Dan lifted his glass with a wounded look in his eyes, one that resembled a man parting with an old friend. In this case, a man and his support system. His back was wrapped up pretty well now, definitely well enough to move. He nodded to what Jeff had advised, still a bit down about the whiskey. "Well, let's get going." He gave his lopsided grin before putting his vest back on and heading outside with his friend. He, as a knight had known about the area at BattleShip Bay. Though, he hadn't really gone there often. In fact, he tended to stray away from it. He wasn't really one for the water, especially an artificial beach, made with elaborate pipe systems and waterways.

He snapped away from his thoughts when Jeff pulled the lever, steering the gondola down to BattleShip Bay, towards the boardwalk. Dan leaned against the side railing, smiling at the children he saw dashing across the sand, traveling to a young girl skipping stones. It was always bright, and nice here. He doubted that this place would ever really change, even with the war going on between the Vox and Comstock. It all just felt too peaceful here. Too good to ever be wrecked by the pain and devastation that the civil war brought with it.

Lifting a brow at the faint 'ding' that sounded, alerting those riding the gondola of their arrival, Dan pushed himself upright. "Alright Jeff, shouldn't keep a lady waiting, huh?" He asked, a smile dawning on his still pained face. This place brought him nothing but good memories, exactly the reason it pained him. He shrugged off the feeling as best he could, no matter what he couldn't go back, she was gone. It was his fault, he had to live with it now. Dan put his hands in his pant pockets before heading down the stairs and through the turnstiles, to the warm sand that danced constantly with the fake waves.

Jeff breathed in the salt scented air and let out a happy sigh as the two made their way out onto the artificial beach. "Sun, sand, and pretty ladies, is there nothing better Danny-Boy?" he said as he walked along toward the meeting area. Jeff could sense an air of sadness about his friend but instead of trying to butt in asking what the matter was, he just kept trying to keep him smiling. Jeff had many flaws, even if he acted like he didnt. One of those flaws is never giving himself the chance to look back... no matter what the memory was about. He was always pushing forward.

The two made their way to the fence line, Jeff leisurely knocking on each plank until he found the loose one. Looking around before he moved it, he let Dan get through first before slipping in himself and replacing the plank. Jeff looked toward the tent and smiled widely at the thought of surprising Kennedy with their appearance. He opened up the flap and said loudly as he spread his arms out "And the cavalry has arrived! Well, most of it any-" but Jeff cut himself short as he noticed the new face with Kennedy. Raising an eyebrow at the gentleman then back at Kennedy, he placed his hands on his hips and said "Well my fault, didnt know we had company, whos the guy?"

Leroy leaned against the railing of the gondola as he watched the clean pressed, upscale section of Columbia known as Emporia seemingly drift away from him before he turned to see the dark and decaying section he called home, but others called Shantytown. He stepped of the gondola and stopped to take in the full effect of the slums that laid before him. He took in every note he could, starting with the old man dressed in rags huddled up to a fire he managed to light, then moving on to the woman, who couldn't of been a day over nineteen, standing just in front of a dark ally who Leroy knew was offering her 'services' to any man with the money to pay, finally moving his gaze to the young boy crying as he sat next to a woman, that anyone could tell was suffering pretty bad from the sickness, laying on a poor excuses of a mattress. Home sweet home. Leroy thought to himself as he began to walk to the decaying apartment building he used for the rare nights he slept. I wonder if the others got away in time. Oh who am I kidding that lot is probably laughing and having drinks right now. I should head back up in a bit, they'll probably be in that hoard, sandy tent in Battleship bay. I'll just get dressed and- his thoughts were cut short as he found himself walking into a someone that just walked out of the ally he was passing. He was a bit suppressed at first, to the point of dropping his satchel, when he collided with the sorter man, but quickly brushed it off. "Oh, don't worry about it. I should of-" He cut off mid sentence as he recognized the man as the officer that burst in on the knights' meeting earlier. Leroy's eyes widen a bit more as he noticed his bag had spilt open dumping out his Dread crow costume. Oh, you got to be shi***ng me! He thought to himself as his bad luck seemed to be piling up left and right today. So he did the only thing he could think of, laugh. "Long time no see." He said in between laughs.

Clarence didn't know what to say, all the possibilities running through his mind. The most prevalent one being to shoot this man in the face, to stop him from killing anybody else. He could tell the man was as shocked to see him as he was to see the man. Either way, Clarence had seen his face so there would be no getting out of this one. "Alley... now." Clarence glanced around at the civilians, sweat beginning to show on his forehead. Leroy would have a physical advantage, but he didn't appear to be armed... appear was the key word. He didn't want this to be physical, and it looked like the man didn't either. The odds of Clarence running into him the first time were low... but a second time, that was almost impossible. Clarence waited for Leroy to make a move, ready to act accordingly to how Leroy acted.

Kennedy looked to Jonathan and shrugged, "Well there will be a few others, especially the ones at the meeting earlier." Just as she finished speaking the door to the tent parted and in walked Jefferey and Daniel. "Well speak of the devil, if it isn't my two favorite boys." Kennedy stood and patted Jeff on the shoulder before moving over to Dan. "How you feeling Danny? Not too bashed up are you?" She could see some of the blood that had seeped through and frowned for a moment. "Well, we'll take it easy on you." She gave him a friendly smile and then turned back to the guest in the tent.

"Well boys, this is Jonathan. He needs our help." She took a step back, allowing Jonathan some space to stand and greet Jeff and Dan. "He's got a pretty crazy story for us. But it sounds like he could really use our help." Kennedy nodded to Jonathan, "Go ahead, fill em in. I don't know if I could explain it to them with a straight face." She turned to look through a box in the corner, pulling out ammunition and salts and placing them on the wooden table that sat in the middle of the "room".

Dan had followed suit in being a bit taken aback at this new male presence. He hadn't shown it, rather he let Jeffery inquire about him. He smiled back at Kennedy, quickly shifting to make his wound less visible. "I'm feeling like a piece of trash, but that's a whole lot better than what I'd been feeling before" He gave a bread nod of thanks to Jeffery, leaning back on his heels and tilting his gaze to the stranger in their midst.

He pondered what Kennedy had said, about to fire back after his ego had been so thoroughly doused out with a "We'll take it easy on you". But, she had caught him off guard with something else, something that made him raise a slim brown eyebrow at Jonathan. "Hmm, we live in a floating city, we can shoot birds from our fists, along with the fact that we listen to a man that can see the future" He gave his lopsided smile, focusing it on Jonathan to reassure him. "I promise you, I'll be able to handle whatever you throw at me."

Jeff beamed his large goofy smile at Kennedy as she referred to the two of them being her 'favorite boys', childish behavior was always his go to attitude, especially with her. Perhaps that was why many were surprised whenever he showed his serious side. However, Kennedy went on to introduce Johnathan and how his situation would be easier for him to explain. Jeff shrugged and shot a tattooed arm out to Johnathan, ready to shake his hand "Pleased ta meet ya Johnny-Boy! Name's Jeffery, Jeffery Harrington! Now what brings you all the way up here to the floating city that is Colombia?" he asked cheerily as he vigorously shook the mans hand with a surprisingly firm grip.

Jonathan looked at Dan with skeptical eyes "even with your bird hands and floating city I think I can top it" he said with a smirk as he opened up a small tear about the size of a basket ball looking down at rapture from inside the dome. "I'm from a city under the water where morbid science is as popular as bread and butter." He said with a smirk "and I need your help to save some unlucky patients from some said morbid scientists." He finished still smiling as he closed the tear and looked at the two waiting for their response.

Sage carefully calculated his path from the rooftops to the city streets, SkyHook constantly spinning with high velocity. With one hand holding the strap of his Bird's Eye Sniper Rifle to ensure that it would not fall Sage kept his methodical pace never once slowing down. When he did finally reach the back-alley behind Battleship Bay was the only time he dared to stop. As promised by Daisy herself, a suitcase was left for him strategically hidden by urban camouflage that had become a necessity for the Vox Populi. As he opened up the case there were several smaller compartments within that was intended to house the pieces of his rifle.

Taking apart the lethally accurate and overwhelmingly beautiful (or at least to Sage) was easy and the seemingly mindless task was done fairly quickly. As he made his final preparations to depart he checked the hidden compartment in the cases lid to see if his China-Broom Shotgun and it's according ammunition was in place. Satisfied with the condition of his case, Sage quickly rose to his feet and walked through the alleyway. Sage pulled his long black coat around his neck and a pack of cigarettes from his pocket and lit one up. Taking a deep inhale off the cigarette Sage briskly made his way to the meeting point at Battleship Bay.

Being part of two distinct anti-government groups significantly raised his risks of becoming discovered but the Knights for some reason held a special place in his heart. Quickly coming around the corner Sage was met with a string of familiar faces and one that he could not recognize. Instinctively his hand reached for his Paddywhacker as he made himself visible to the rest of the crowd.

"Hello Ms. McIntire, gentlemen." Sage said acknowledging everyone in attendance.

"Of course pal!" Leroy said with a large cheesy grin on his face as he headed into the ally, though he was cursing both himself and the officer in his mind. Leroy walked as far back into the ally as he could, looking back every few steps to make sure the officer hadn't pulled a gun on him, before turning around and leaning on a near by wall. Okay Leroy whatever you do don't let him know he has the advantage. He repeated over and over again in his mind, but slowly realizing that it was quite obvious he was caught. Leroy knew he couldn't risk running, there were to many people near by that could get hit if the officer decided to open fire. Also what would of been the point, the officer had seen his face and saw his costume, the bleak realization came over him, but he refused to let it show on his face. Never let them know your pain. Never Were the words that rang through Leroy's head, as they rang through his head for years before. With a slight breath Leroy faced the officer with a steely look in his eyes.

After the brief introduction of names, the man named Johnathan looked over at Dan who had insisted whatever it was he had to say it would not be any stranger than what we already encounter. Before Jeff could reply, Johnathan suddenly opened up what could only be described as a small portal. Looking inside, Jeffs jaw dropped, and for once in his life... he was speechless... "I... that is.... wow..." he said breathlessly as he gazed at the whole other world. "This... this is incredible...."

"There's no use running, I've seen your face." Clarence spoke, a pit in his stomach, as he tried to figure out what to do next. "You're going to come to the station with me. There doesn't have to be violence." Clarence was already thrown off by Leroy's willingness to go along with him into the alley. If Clarence took him to the station, they would realize that he had intentionally left him out of the report... but if he didn't, he was no better than those on the force working for Comstock and Fink. He finally spoke, demanding answers. "Why did you kill that man? Who were those people?" He wasn't expecting to get answers, but it couldn't hurt to ask. He readied his Undertow vigor, the water splashing from his hand onto the sleeve of the overcoat. His other hand, while down to his side, was ready to grab the pistol at any moment. "Answer me!" He barked, waiting to see how the murderer reacted.

"Calm down!" Leroy said with a sneer when the officer began his little scar tactic, an act Leroy had grown sick of seeing from men of authority that tried it on him over the years. "I don't know how you so called 'protectors of the peace' handle things, but I'm not about to endanger all these good people with a fight. Or are they not good enough for your protection because they live in Shantytown?" He said in a rather harsh voice as he stood up off the wall, folding his arms in front of him. He eyed the man in front of him for a moment, taking in the obvious fighting measures he was setting up in case Leroy would attack. Leroy scoffed as the man demanded answers from him, as if he was that weak of will. "Bah, that man, and I use the term loosely, was scum like the rest of his so called brothers. I won't bother to shed a tear over his death, hell the only good thing that man ever did was wipe the dirt off my shoe." Leroy sneered again. "And was just supposed to let him kill the kid, oh right he is just another street rat to you isn't he?!" He said with more fire then before.

"I never saw a kid! All I saw was a man, mutilated and abandoned in an alley. I know who he was, I know what he was a part of! I don't like him anymore than you do! After what they did to me.. I would like nothing more than to see them all burn!" He spat out through clenched teeth. This man acted like he was on the FOotR's side, as if he agreed with their actions. The mutilated bodies they left, the destroyed families... But there was nothing he could do, the memory of pain flashing, sending a jolt into his ribs. "You killed a man, which makes you no better than him! These people," He stopped himself, lowering his voice, "These are who I'm trying to protect! To hell with Comstock, Fink, and you! With you three, it doesn't matter who you destroy, because the end justify the means? Well I'm the one who has to deal with the means, who has to prevent mass chaos, who has to pick up the pieces. It's people like you, self-proclaimed heroes, who are going to destroy this city. Those who think they are doing the right thing. I won't let you go on." Clarence pulled a pair of handcuffs out, "You are under arrest."

Leroy had found him in a place he hasn't in years, in an actually state of rage. He was beside himself because of this officer, who he still believed had to be in either Fink's or Comstock's pocket, was stating that Leroy was as nearly as foul as any of those any of those monstrous men. Leroy found him having to grit his teeth and clinch his fists to keep from jumping at the man, a thought that was becoming more and more appealing by the moment. "Really I'm the one that's ruining the city?! Not the Vox Populi burning buildings, not the Founders treating every one who looks or sound different like dirt, not Fink who's working all of Shantytown to death, not Commstock lying his holy ass off, not the ravens killing people left and right, or how about the crooked officers that let all this happen?! Tell me how many lives did I keep from being ruined when I killed that man, how many families did I keep from being torn apart, how many kids did I keep from becoming me!?" He yelled, his face turning a bit red as his feelings he pushed down over the years began to burst out.
