When Steve mentioned that her aunt would be his type of lady, it tugged at her heart and her face softened slightly thinking about the loss of her aunt. “I think you’d be her type of guy.” She said in a soft playful manner. “She always liked a man with manners but she passed away. She did live until she was 89 years old so that’s a good span and I’ve never seen someone so happy before they died. She seemed at peace.” A small shrug lifted her tank top covered shoulders before she shook her head. “Sorry. That woman I could talk about for hours.” She said with a laugh as she turned her attention to the radio.
As he said that it was Frank Sinatra, her smile brightened and her blue eyes twinkled with a large unexpected amount of excitement; a complete mood changer for him to even know the name of the singer. “I’m impressed! Most people our age don’t know classic music very well.” She said with a nod as she pressed the button to play the next song once Fly With Me finished. “Well I went to work; and something rather amazing happened.” She began leaning herself back against the couch and gesturing for him to come in so he didn’t feel like she was pushing him out; she enjoyed his company immensely and didn’t want to give off the impression that she didn’t. “One of the higher ups told me that I was doing good work and to keep it up. It’s really the little things you know?” Her bright smile seemed to have trouble fading as she talked about it. “Just to be told that you’re doing a good job from people above you really makes all your hard work worth it and believe it or not… I do work… sometimes…” At the word sometimes she drug it out giving a playful shifty eyes to show she was only kidding.
The song shifted once again to Stangers In The Night and as it did, her body started to rock to the music. Without really thinking she stuck out her hand to him. “Wanna dance?”
