She opened her mouth to retort, ready to say that as long as she didn’t die than this person he was going after was going to be fine but it was cut short by the shouts of the men entering the room. Her heart jumped as she turned around to find Captain jumping in front of her and using that massive shield of his to block the bullets. Sharon too the blockage as a chance to fire with sniper-like accuracy. For the sake of the gun, she didn’t fire multiple times but took her time aiming and shooting. When he shouted to her to start stepping back she nodded as a response not once taking her eyes off of her targets as she began to step back further and further.

It wasn’t hard for Sharon to follow instructions. Her Aunt had taught her a lot about Captain America and the things it took to be agent so she was very good at taking directions; especially by someone she had such respect for like him. Firing, she covered him until he got to his shield. As he crotched she caught a glimpse of the man behind the mask and her heart nearly exploded from her chest in shock. Holy shit holy shit holy shit! I’VE BEEN BABYSITTING CAPTAIN AMERICA!!! Oh my god…. I KISSED MY AUNT’S LOVE! Have you ever had an inner conflict where you honestly didn’t know what to think or how to feel? Well best bet is that yours wasn’t half as bad as hers. She was hurt because she had no idea who she was living next to and would have loved to have that information. She was ashamed because she didn’t know how her aunt would react to something like this and she was majorly pissed off that Nick Fury didn’t tell her. Oh that man, that man, THAT MAN WAS GOING TO GET A PIECE OF HER MIND!

When she found that the men had ran out of bullets themselves she took off to track down the canister. It wasn’t long before she kicked open enough doors to find where they had put it. God this group was kind of dumb. Shrugging to herself she threw the canister into her bag and grabbed a second and third gun and a few loaded clips. She turned the corner from the room seeing Steve, yes Steve dressed in the Captain America outfit that was actually his, rounding the corner as well. In a swift motion she tossed him one of the new guns she had acquired and dueled up with the other two fully loaded and ready to go. The two started to run before coming to the end of a hallway with no way out. Before anything could be said, something started against the wall, a loud humming noise before the melt framework began to melt away. “What the…”

CRASH The melt square that was cut out fell inward nearly hitting the two, “Sorry about that, I can’t see through metal.” An arrogant coy voice said through a metal suite as swarms of S.H.I.E.L.D. agents few through the whole. “Agent 13, what a pleasant surprise, and Captain; always chasing after the pretty ones. Funny I didn’t know you liked blondes.”

This wasn’t good. She couldn’t stick around for long; it could blow her cover if she was exposed to the light instead of the dim light of the warehouse. “Mister Stark, can I take you up on that lift offer to get me back to headquarters. Director Fury needs this canister.” There wasn’t a hint of hesitation from her statement and Iron Man slipping his arm securely around her waist and taking off towards the sky. A yell of “Thank you Captain!” could be heard from the blonde over the jet powered nearly silent boots of Iron Man before he zoomed off with the blonde in his arm.

“So about that date…”

“No, I just needed a ride.”

“Come on Sharon, you know something’s there.”

“Something is a term I would never use again. You promised me a flight whenever I asked and I’m taking you up on it…”

“Oh I could take you on more than a flight if you’d let me.”

“I know you’re used to your smooth-talking to work but it’s not Stark just get me to Fury’s office, he’s going to have a taste of my boot up his ass.”

“Oh really? Now that sounds worth the flight, I’d like to watch.”

The blonde just rolled her eyes and Tony continued on asking her about the possibility of taking her out on a date; and as you can imagine he was met with retorts that he just laughed off and asked her in a different way.

Returning to S.H.I.E.L.D. Sharon stormed into Nick’s office, Tony hot on her heels ready to hear what was going down, unfortunately for him, the door shut and locked behind her as she kicked it shut with her foot and in a Tony-Like fashion he huffed and placed himself against the wall next to the door crossing his arms over his chest and staring down at his expensive running shoes.

“Captain America?! You had me babysitting Captain America?! When were you going to tell me?!” She shouted as she slammed the canister down on his desk.

“I don’t see why it’s an issue.”

“Excuse me?!” She snapped, probably for the first time in her life of knowing Nick Fury. “He was the love of my Aunt’s life, she was happy with her husband; sure but no one replaced Steve Rogers in her life. And now you’re wanting me to be the one to watch over him are you kidding me?!”

“I don’t see why it’s an issue, your aunt would want him to be happy and for you to be happy. Besides you’re just neighbors right…” Nick, of course, drug out the word right; urging her to agree with him in hopes that nothing was going on between the two. Because that would… complicate things.

Sharon stayed quiet for a moment, unsure of how to respond to that. If there wasn’t anything going on between them and there wouldn’t be any issues but there was, at least in her mind. “I’d like to cash in one of the ‘you owe me’ favors Nick.” This interested Fury to the point that he crossed his arms on top of his desk and leaned forward. She called him by his first name, something she never does and she’s cashing in one of the few ‘you owe me’ favors Nick ever gives out. Sure she holds about three but this was worth one of them. “I want your permission to tell him who I am.”

“Give up your cover?”

“Yes.”

“What do you think will happen?”

“We won’t know until we cross that bridge but I would like to, and I’d prefer to be the one to tell him.”

Nick stared up at her with his good eye for quite a while before hanging his head in a sense of defeat. After a minute of silence and the blonde staring him down he looked up from the table at her. “Fine.”

That was enough of an answer for Sharon as she left Fury’s office with a sense of victory. Stepping out the door she was caught by Tony who met in step with her poking and prodding her with questions about she talked to Fury about. Sharon actually stayed silent through the whole thing until she got outside. “Look I’m not saying anything Tony, sorry but it doesn’t concern you.”

“Then you’ll just have to tell me over dinner some time.”

All Sharon could do was roll her eyes as she flagged down a taxi. “Is that a yes than?” He asked as she shut the door and told the driver to take her home. With that Tony walked back inside the building heading straight for Director Fury’s office.

Sharon had the cab stop off at a local clothing store where she ran in and bought a pair of jeans and a goofy looking long sleeved shirt and a new set of glasses before climbing back into the cab as she put her hair up in a new hair tie and got back into the cab. Arriving home she let out a long sigh and climbed the stairs to her apartment where she unlocked the door and let herself inside. Shutting the door behind her she threw her bag onto her couch and chose to take a shower to get the grim of the day off. This, this could be a tough night.

Captain America turned to see 13 walking out of a room as soon as he turned the corner. The more he looked at her, the more he felt like he knew her. It would have been so obvious if the lighting was better, he wasn't running from an army, and worried to death about Sharon. She seemed to not look at him much though... Did he offend her? At the moment, he didn't seem to care. he had his agendy, and she had hers. it seemed like they both messed each other's up. he caught the gun, and cocked it, making sure it was ready to use if their friends come back. They started to run, and soon hit a dead end. Steve was looking all around for alternatives. If he had to he would go and fight his way out, but before he could tell 13 their options, he heard a noise coming from behind him. The loud humming soon melted away the wall, and he wasn't surprised to see Tony Stark in his suit, and other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents rushing in to help.

Steve was about to ask something until 13 climbed in to Stark's arms, and he quickly flew away... Probably to fondue. He was now left with the agents storming the place.
He searched the place for Sharon. he even asked if people knew who she was. No answers. They did find some pant legs in the bathroom though, and an unconscious man. Defeated, he made his way back to S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ. As he climbed out of his suit and back in his civilian clothes, he closed his locker to see Natashia behind the door. "How did you get in here?" Steve asked, looking around.

"Sharon Carter. That's who your neighbor is." She said in disbelief.

Steve sighed. "Yeah. She's my neighbor--"

"Do you know what she does? Who she is? and that's the girl you took out on a date?" She asked with a playful smile.

Steve raised an eyebrow. "Computer tech... she says she helps people... Why do you care?"

She shook her head with a smile. "Nothing... I guess you'll find out soon." And with that, she walked off.
Steve had to take a cab back home. His motorcycle was being rebuilt at the moment courtesy of S.H.I.E.L.D. He was very confused and worried about what happened to Sharon... Maybe that wasn't her. Maybe she was just on his mind way too much... But what did Natashia mean today? "you'll find out soon?" He opened his apartment door, and before he walked in, he stopped... He had to know if she was okay. If she wasn't there, he will have to charge in the S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ and demand to see Agent 13 to find out what happened. He turned, and walked to her door, knocking lightly at first, and after a couple of seconds, he knocked louder. "Sharon?" he called out, hoping she was in there, safe, and tired from her safe and boring day.

Sharon was a smart girl; some of the highest test scores for S.H.I.E.L.D. and quite a few other tests as well. So figuring out how to tell someone who she really was should be a piece of cake. Unless you’ve developed a hint of feelings for them that could easily expand into more than just a playful crush. Now she was face to face with her neighbor she was having a crush on, who was her Aunt’s crush from over 70 years ago and was the symbol of freedom for all of America. Oh yeah, this should be simple…

The blonde banged her wet forehead lightly against the wall of the shower. How could she have been so stupid?! Why did it have to be Steve Rogers, who is Captain America, to be the one she had to look after? Why her?! Anyone else could have done it, but it had to be her! Nick Fury assigned her to it knowing who he was and who was within her family. Her head banged against the wall once more. This would be a lot simpler if she wasn’t crushing on him. But she had to tell him… she had to. She loved what she had with him as Sharon Carter but would like to be honest and open with him. God her crush was Captain America! It was her childhood all over again… expect she kissed him in her living room and at her door. That, was a bit different than childhood.

Letting out a long sigh she turned off the water after scrubbing herself clean with her cinnamon scenting bath wash and shampoo/conditioner. She climbed out of the shower wrapping her toned body in a towel and putting her hair up. Her glasses and everything lay on her bed as she stepped out of her bathroom and was about to head towards the open door. That was until she heard a knock on her front door and her body jerked in that direction, instantly walking towards the door out of curiosity on who could be there. When she got to the door was when the knock came again, this time louder and a call of her name echoed throughout her home. So, something that was unexpected to her and probably even more so to the man on the other side of the door, the blonde pulled it open without giving much thought to the fact that she was standing in just a towel, well two if you count the one in her hair, in the doorway. “Steve, just who I wanted to talk to…” Of course she cut herself off when she felt some of the water drip down from the towel around her head onto her shoulder and her face turned flaming red and she slammed the door in his face.

“For obvious reasons….” She called out, her voice filled with embarrassment and a small embarrassed laugh, “I need to change. Please count to five than let yourself in.” With that, the blonde hurried into the bedroom and changed in her outfit she had walked into the house with. Debating on pulling her hair back into a bun she left her hair up in the towel and slid the new glasses onto her face. God this was going to be hard; how… how to start.

Sighing softly she looked around, grabbing an item from her nightstand and holding it to her as she stepped outside to find Steve had made his way into her apartment. “Please sit.” She said softly gesturing to the couch. As they sat down together she turned to face him. “Tell me, do you recognize this person in the photo with me?” With that she handed him the photo she had taken from her bedroom. It was a picture of her and her aunt when her aunt was about seventy. Still young looking and spunky but with wrinkles and laugh lines showing that she had a good and happy life; her aunt still looked lovely even at her old age. Taking in a deep breathe Sharon said one simple statement, basically testing to see if the man behind the Captain America mask was really her Steve Rogers from next door. “That’s the woman I’ve been telling you about; that’s my aunt.”

Steve wasn't expecting a naked Sharon to open the door... he took a good look at her though, her face without glasses before turning away in respect. He didn't really know what to say, or how to say what he wanted to... But she seemed to be wanting to talk to him, so that's one way of knowing that she most likely was there today at S.H.I.E.L.D... and those eyes were very familiar as well. But he wasn't jumping in to conclusions... only because he didn't want them to be correct. He counted to five, and stepped in to the familiar apartment that was full of cuddling, delicious food, and dancing.

She soon came back in to the room dressed and wearing her hair up and glasses on. He followed her to the couch, and sat down, still not saying a word. Not knowing what he wanted to say. Then she showed him the picture. He stared at it for the longest time. Looking at the aged face of the woman he once loved. He should have been that age. he should have been in that picture laughing with her. Or at least dead in the arctic still. he looked up at her. "Peggy Carter is your aunt?" He then laughed and shook his head. "So you must know all about S.H.I.E.L.D. and I did see you today." He stated, leaning back. Great. One thing in his life that was going good turned out to be a lie. He was tired of S.H.I.E.L.D. not trusting him, and being lied to.

When Steve asked if Peggy Carter was her aunt she nodded in response. Sharon took in a deep breath and held it, unsure of how the rest of the rest of this was going to play out; his laugh seemed discomforted and her heart sank into her stomach. She didn’t want to tell him… but she liked him, and she didn’t want to continue a lie. “I know a lot about S.H.I.E.L.D.” She said softly leaning back against the couch. Her gaze moved to her lap as she played with her fingers. “My aunt talked a lot about you. You meant a lot to her. I don’t think there was a day where you weren’t on her mind. She admired you so much and cared for you deeply. Your inspiration is what got her to help start S.H.I.E.L.D. I grew up hearing stories about you from my Aunt and we really bonded and connected as I grew up. She meant a lot to me so losing her was very hard on me as I’m sure it was you.”

She adjusted herself slightly against the couch, her right shoulder resting against the couch and her blue eyes stared at him from behind the glasses. Sharon knew she was about to bite the bullet but she couldn’t live with the guilt when she was developing feeling for him. “I know more about S.H.I.E.L.D. then you’re aware of. If I had known who you were Steve, I… I wouldn’t have taken the job. Director Fury said that it was just to watch over my neighbor and make sure he was adapting to life well. I thought that met a soldier returning home from the war. Not thee soldier adapting to life in the present day. And…” She let out a small cough as she reached up, pulling the towel from her head, her damp hair fell from the towel as she placed it on the coffee table. “You did see me today… more than once.” With that she took off her glasses and placed them on the coffee table as well. Her blue gaze turned to him; her eyes slightly watered as she held her breathe watching his face and waiting his reaction. Just like that she went from Sharon, his neighbor to Agent 13 who he had met in the warehouse but, they were one in the same.

As she talked about Peggy, it was as if she was taking his heart and stabbing it, then pouring salt all over it... then putting it on fire. The more she talked about how she thought about him, the angrier, and sick he felt. But all he could do was shake his head. He wasn't going to yell at her. Of course she wouldn't know the pain of being out of her time. Being somewhere where he knew that he didn't belong. It was just too much of a coincidence for her to be related to the woman he had wanted to be with... And then she revealed her big secret. His face was no longer laughing. She looked much more natural, and much more beautiful with her hair down, and her eyes now bare... but he wasn't going to admit that now.

"Always secrets with you guys." He said, clearly upset. He stood up, shaking his head. "How do you expect to keep allies, when you always lie to the people you say you're helping?" he asked not really her, but just the agency in general. "They have people following me everywhere I go, they didn't tell you who you were pretending to have feelings for." He didn't know if the kisses they shared meant anything to her, and at the moment, he didn't seem to care. "One of the only reasons I stay with S.H.I.E.L.D. is because I know she helped found it... I like to think they are the good guys... But I don't know anymore." He said softly, turning away from her. he was half tempted to leave, but something made him stay. He didn't know if it was to hear her try to apologize, seeing those familiar Carter eyes... but whatever it was, his legs didn't plan on moving.

His words cut like knives to her heart and pierced her soul in more pain than she had ever experienced. Her gaze turned downwards to the floor as she listened to him to talk. Being an agent, you learn to hide your emotions well and Agent 13 was normally really good with hiding her emotions until he said that she was pretending to have feelings for him. Her face dropped into a frown, her eyes watered and tears slowly tricked down cheeks as she listened to him finish his statement to her.

His presence didn’t move after he finished and her attention moved upwards. Taking a deep breath and slowly breathed out. “You’re right, we do keep secrets and sometimes; we shouldn’t. If you would have known who I was from the beginning, would you really have spent as much time with me? Would we have had the wonderful evening that we had last night?” She slowly stood up to her feet, her hands running through her damp straight blonde hair before she wiped away some of the tears from her cheeks and allowed her arms to fall to her side, landing against her sides with a small thump. “When I found out who were you Steve, I told Director Fury that I had to tell you. You… you mean too much to me for me not to tell you who I am. I never found anyone someone who I can get along with and be myself around; nothing I said was a lie. I work on computers at S.H.I.E.L.D. and help people. I like to think we’re the good guys.” She let out a small sigh and wiped away more tears that were falling from her blue eyes. “I… I understand if you want to leave… But… but… I don’t want you to.”

Steve turned around to her, staring. "You heard all of these fantastic stories about me." He said, not saying it as in gloating about himself, more of a sarcastic tone. "Do you think I really have cared who you are, or where you come from?" He asked her with a shrug. "I don't know if the time we had last night was scripted, I don't know if Fury is telling you to tell me, or if anyone I have ever known is just playing me because I'm the man out of time." He didn't know why he was breaking down like this. He wasn't supposed to. He shouldn't be this mad at her.... he sighed, looking down for a second before looking back up. "I'm so sick and tired of people giving me fake authority, and then lying to me. I didn't ask for this. To be 70 years in the future where I lost everything I have known. My best friend, my apartment, my squad, Peg--" He cut himself off, pausing for only a second. "I'm here now. Whether I like it or not... And for the last couple of days, I was liking it."

"It was nice... whatever happened with us. But I can't help but think that this was just a mission to you."

“I didn’t know you were you…” Sharon said softly to her lap but she understood where he was coming from. But more tears streamed down her face when he said that he thought that yesterday was scripted. That hurt. A small sniffle left her as he said that. It was very painful to hear something like that because yesterday meant a lot to her. Which is why she had to tell him, especially when she found out who he was.

A long sigh left her after he explained how lost he felt. But when he said that he couldn’t help but think it was just a mission to her she stood up, walking slowly to her door she pulled it open, and tears streamed down her face. “I can see how you’d think that but that’s not the case Steve…” Leaning against door she turned her gaze to him. “I understand if you want to leave but…” Her hesitation was based around the fact that she had to sob a couple times, her free hand that wasn’t holding the door open wiped away the tears as her glossy blue eyes stared down Steve. “I don’t want you to. What we had… means the world to me; I’d hate to watch you, someone I would consider a friend and…” She swallowed softly looking away from him, her attention now at the ground, tears falling from her eyes and landing on the floor, “something more. I’m not going to stop you from leaving but… I don’t,” A sniffle left her as she brushed some tears from her cheeks only to have more fall from eyes. “I don’t want you to go.” She wasn’t going to hold Steve back from leaving but she certainly wasn’t going to let him leave without him knowing how she felt.

"I understand you didn't know it was me. But would you have lead this 'random soldier' on? to lie to him when you teach him how to dance, or watch movies or...kiss?" He asked her, no longer yelling, but still a bit frustrated. But as he thought before... It wasn't her fault. he watched her go to the door, opening it for him, watching her cry over this... and honestly, it broke his heart. He never saw Peggy break down and cry, but he had a feeling she might have shed a tear when he crashed in to the arctic... She was much like her. A hard strict agent who wants to get the job done, but also has a sweet side, a playful one that only attracted Steve to her more... But it wasn't Peggy he thought about when he saw her. It was hopefully the person he thought he knew. Sharon.

"I don't want to go either." He said desperately. "I know you and Fury might think I need help in this new world, but I can take care of myself. Especially in a place where I grew up with literally every illness you can think of. "I don't need an agent watching over me every waking second. I don't need S.H.I.E.L.D. dictating my whole life..." He trailed off, and after a bit of looking at his doorway across the hall through Sharon's open door, he looked at her. "I need... someone who can make amazing apple pie. And can teach me how to dance. And to watch all these classic movies that I have yet to watch, and not judge me for it." Steve's expression softened a bit, showing a faint smile at her... God, even when she was in tears she looked beautiful... Truth be told, though, he liked her with a smile much much more.

“Would I have led someone on?” Sharon repeated staring at the floor. “In order to lead someone on you have to have a plan and a reason. I had no plan nor a reason. The extension of my knowledge was to watch over you, that is all. I was never told I needed to spend time with you or anything like that. I did it upon my own free will. I did it because I wanted to. I wanted to get to know you, I found you interesting and fun and funny and charming in an adorable shy way that I had never experienced before. I found someone that I could get along with which is why… even though I didn’t tell you what my job was, everything else was and is the truth.” She said with a nod.

Leaning against the door she let out a small sigh, her gaze staying locked on the floor until he began to talk about apple pie, dancing and watching movies. A small smile crept across her lips. “Steve, I just have one question for you.” With that she turned to him leaning against the door. She could be shooting herself in the foot for asking such a thing but he was pointing a lot of fingers at her for lying to him and while she didn’t tell him the whole story, she needed to know. “I didn’t tell you the details of my job but I was honest with you about everything else. Okay except for the glasses, that was something I’ve been doing for years but my eyesight is actually fine. But…” Her bare foot trailed along the carpet making the infinity sign as she turned her blue gaze up to him. “When were you going to tell me you were Captain America?” Her question was sheepish, almost shy-like. Remember she had been admiring him for so long and had struggled to meet him since they found him again and now… well she had kissed him; and yet, she was still shy to think that her Steve Rogers was thee Captain America!!

As she talked, Steve remained quiet. He just assumed that she was supposed to have feelings for him. He guessed that's the way of the land these days. To assume things and never gather facts... When she said he was shy and charming, he couldn't help but give a small laugh, looking down at the floor... Then she asked her own question. He never thought about that... Why didn't he tell her who he was? Maybe it was because he was sure everyone knew who he was now... "the living legend" with the iconic blonde hair and blue eyes, the tall, muscular body... and he often forgets that people see him like that.

"I thought you knew... It seems after the battle there are posters and toys everywhere with the Avengers on them... but there were some times I didn't feel like Captain America. I felt like Steve Rogers from Brooklyn. It was nice. So my alter ego didn't really want to speak up. It was nice having the little guy be the center of attention, and not the stars and the stripes." He said quietly, looking up at her when he was finished. Still a blonde hair, barefoot beauty... He was no longer mad at her... But one thing was for sure. He was going to use the stars and the stripes to have a talk to S.H.I.E.L.D. and demand why they would do this to not only him, but her... then it occurred to him. What if they made her move after they knew for certain she told him? How often would he see her after? Work controlled both of their lives... But it was nice to know he had her just across the hall when the work was finished.

Her crying had stopped from a barely controlled sob to minimal sniffles but still tears. Her blue eyes nearly exploding with color from her face due to the glossy coding of her tears. Her body turned to face him, leaning herself against the door that she was still holding open. As much as she didn’t want him to leave, she had too much respect for the man to try to force him to stay. “I don’t quite follow the media. Plus I see Mister Stark more than I’d like too and I spend a lot of my free time… if you call it free time,” She said as a side note to herself, realizing that was a poor choice of words. “In Doctor Banner’s lab and go shooting with Black Widow.”

A small shrug lifted and fell her shoulders as she sniffled softly before continuing. “I was raised hearing stories about you and one of the biggest things I was taught was ‘If it was going to admire you, I should admire you for your work and allow you to be an individual outside of your work.’ That being said, I never saw a photo of you outside of your uniform, I never went looking for you or asked around to see who you really were. I wanted to meet you yes, to shake your hand and say thank you but I wanted you to have your privacy….” Her gaze flicked to the floor again, her toe style making the infinity symbol. Oh yeah go ahead and admit that you wanted to track him down just to shake his hand, that doesn’t scream desperate or pathetic at all… geeze. She mentally kicked herself before turning her gaze back up to him, after the mental kick her cheeks turned a small shade of pink. “Maybe I’m the only one who thinks like that now-a-days but sometimes old fashion ways of thinking are the best.” A small, small smile played across her lips for the first time since they started talking about this. She wanted him to have his privacy as Steve Rogers, but she wouldn’t mind being involved with that privacy, as Sharon Carter and not Agent 13.

She felt bad for her lack of free time... it sounded a lot like his. he rarely had it, and when he did, it wasn't that much fun, especially when she said she spent time with Tony. He had respect for the guy now... but he can be more than a handful for people, especially women. Steve watched her talk, and as she did she still had a sniffle and some tears running down her face... he didn't mean for her to cry. He didn' tknow she would actually have feelings for him (he hoped, and loved the time they had, but after her big reveal, it was just something he didn't know anymore).

He sighed and walked for the door, but instead of going through it, he gently took it from her grasp, and closed it. "I hate it when a pretty girl cries..." He said gently, taking his thumb, and gently wiping the tears off her face. "Im glad to see i'm not the only one who keeps to the old traditions..." Steve Rogers kept his thumb on her cheek.

Her gaze moved to the floor as he started forward. She didn’t want him to go but, well, she wasn’t going to stop him. His footsteps grew louder as they drew closer and she closed her eyes, not daring to watch him walk out the door. She’d rather feel the door be taken from her and hear it shut than to watch him walk out. GOD she was way too attached to this man! But she couldn’t explain it, they just clicked. Clicked like she had never clicked with anyone before; never had someone treated her with such respect and in such a gentleman-like way, she was easily swept off of her feet and instead of it being by someone who was playing her, it was by someone who actually meant it.

She could feel him getting closer which didn’t help as more tears rolled down her cheeks and the door left her hand but… his footsteps stopped and the door was taken from her hands. When it shut behind her with a thud she slowly opened her eyes, her emotional brain was able to put two and two together that he hadn’t actually left but she was still surprised to see him as she turned that deep glossy blue gaze up to him. A small soft laugh left her through her sniffles as he said he was glad that he wasn’t alone in the old tradition situation. “To the pits with the people who don’t like old traditions.” She said playfully, in a soft voice; almost a whisper as if it was their little secret. Her head instantly fell into his hand and she let out a soft sigh, she wasn’t sure where this was going but to be touched and the door shut was a good sign right?

Steve laughed quietly at her comment, her eyes were still glossy with tears, but hopefully they would stop soon... Her head leaned in to his hand, and it was yet another one of those feelings he's never felt before. you'd be surprised to know how much human interaction he had other than hand to hand combat.... "Amen to that." He whispered back, wiping another tear from her now happier face... With a bit of courage and chance taking, Steve slowly moved his head closer to hers, tilting it a bit. And then he planted a kiss on her lips gently. He didn't know what this meant really, except for the fact that he really really really liked this woman. Many girls have tried to get a date with the infamous Steve Rogers, and he was never interested... but this woman was something else. Maybe it was the fact that she was a mix of Peggy, his first love, and her own very attractive self... Or, he hoped it was her self that he was falling for.

His hand stayed on his cheek, not wanting to let go of something that felt so right. He hoped she felt the same way... even if he was over 90 (he acted and felt just like a 25 year old man though), and had little to no information of the new trends and the classics... Okay, Rogers. don't bum yourself out when you're kissing a beautiful dame...

When she blinked, he wiped away the fear which made her feel a bit better and his small comment saying amen made her smile softly as she listened to him. Her blue eyes looking up at him he began to lean forward and her heart pounded in her chest as he began to tilt his head. Was he... Was he going to kiss her? Really?! Does this mean she's forgiven? He's over it? Or was it just a moment? She really thought he might have feelings for her... Could, could her idol really have a crush on her? Her heart prouded with nerves in her chest but she knew what he would want is for her to not treat him any different and she didn't want to. She respected the work of Captian America but she was falling for Steve Rogers.

The enveloping of lips was electrifying and her body shivered as his hand stayed in place against her face. His body felt like it was going to melt into a puddle on the floor. A small soft moan of relaxing left her behind the kiss. Her hands slowly rose up, her fingertips gently running against his chest; feeling those defined muscles enhanced by the suite under her fingertips. Because of the situation they had just experienced, she didn't want to place be full hands against him and travel upwards so she figured that her fingertips could satisfy her want to touch him but not cross any lines that might make him feel uncomfortable. But she leaned gently into the kiss and him to show that she was liking that it was happening.

It was a weird feeling he had. He hated how she lied to him. It kinda was uncomfortable to know that she is related to his old flame... But he loved the way she held on to him while they rode a motorcycle. He loved her apple pies, he loved the way she talked to hi, the way she kissed, how she watched movies with him... He didn't know what was going to happen after this kiss. But her moan was music to his ears... He pulled back though, and looked at her.

"Just to make some things clear, I don't think I need a body guard helping me. No offense to you, its just if I survived the Great Depression when I was a scrawny kid, I'm sure I can be safe here in this much much nicer apartment building." He said. "I don't need more S.H.I.E.L.D. agents in my life either. I get enough of them at work, and I am sure you do too... So... When you're off the clock, I'm not Captain America. Just Steve Rogers, the kid from Brooklyn." Steve said with a shy smile. He was fine with Agent 13 when they were on a mission. Precise, clear to the point, and follows orders... But Sharon Carter was much more fun to be with in his opinion.

As you can imagine, Sharon was on cloud 9 kissing Steve. The tingle of awkwardness faded slightly as she realized that even though Steve was from the era in which he was, her aunt has passed and her aunt married someone else when her love was gone. It wasn’t a bad thing for one must move on when they think the one they love is dead. Her uncle treated her aunt amazing and her aunt seemed happy but not as happy as when she was about to pass… did that mean that Steve visited her before she died? Not wanting to think about it anymore, Sharon focused only on the man in front of her. When she was just about to lean into him more, he pulled back and her blue eyes flickered open to look up at him.

She nodded softly as he talked. He had been through a lot and now it was easier on him with technology and the knowledge now held by the present day public; life is a lot easier. The only thing that threw her off was when he said that he didn’t want any more S.H.I.E.L.D. agents in his life more than what he got at work. And while she could relate, a look of realization came over her face as she slowly turned her gaze away from him. “When Director Fury finds out I told you who I am, he’ll have me moved. And probably replaced with someone else who knows who you are and still will want to follow orders… But,” A small sigh left her, the realization that she’d be asking Steve to lie was upon her and she didn’t want to back him into a corner like that. They’d just have to pretend like they knew each other as Captain America and Agent 13 at work, Nick Fury couldn’t know that he was aware of her identity and her purpose of being across the hall but… well she didn’t want to have him have that linger on his mind. Then again, Fury might never ask if she told him or not. She wasn’t that high on his radar and it really only came up when she brought it up. “if that does happen, it’s not going to stop me from coming over and seeing you. New Jersey’s a heck of a lot scarier than New York City, I don’t care what people say.” She said in a soft attempt to lighten the mood, even though it was obvious that she didn’t want to move…

Steve listened to her words once again, and stayed silent. He wanted so badly to say "Well then we won't tell him." But that would make him a hypocrite... Then again... Ever since he first met Nick Fury he's been lying to him. From what time he was in, to skeptical missions to now this. And this wouldn't hurt anyone! Who cared if they were going to spend time with each other... and maybe snuggle back up on the couch... and feel her fingers on his body again... It was their business! Not Fury's. "We don't have to tell him." he said quietly. "He should have known that we would have found out eventually. And since he likes to keep so many secrets... Maybe its time to get in with the modern age and have a secret of my own..." He said, a soft smile on his lips.

"And I can't let you move back to Jersey. I haven't been since the 30's, but i'm sure it's still terrible." He shook his head, a smile on his face now. He wasn't letting Sharon Carter out of his life. She was the first person in a long time to make him feel, well... happy.
