This guy was fast. Faster than anyone he's fought in a very long time. Steve leapt over tables, using his shield to take in the impact of running in to a wall for running too fast. The man with the robotic arm kept throwing things in his way to slow him down, but nothing did. This was the man who tried to kill Sharon. The only good thing he had in this new world. He wasn't going to let him get away with that! The man broke a window, using the fire escape on the side alley. He didn't hesitate to follow. The robotic armed man started to climb, trying to get to higher ground. Steve was in pursuit until he used that arm of his to tear a part of the stairs as if it was tin foil. The stairs swung out, Steve holding on as he hit the side of the wall. He grunted, and then started to climb yet again, using his strength with ease. They finally made it to the top of the building, The man already halfway across it.

Steve threw his shield.

The man instantly turned, and caught the shield in mid air with his arm. Steve stared in shock, and he shivered at the sight of the cold dark eyes staring at him. If under different circumstances and if he got a hair cut, Steve would have recognized the man's eyes... But not now. The man threw back the shield with such force Steve caught it, got pushed back from the force, and his ribs ached, even with his suit.

Steve put it back on his arm, staring at him for a few more seconds, and then charged at him. Steve jumped up, trying to knee him in the chin, but his leg was pushed down. Surprising as it was, Steve went with it. He went down and spun, sticking his leg out to try and trip him. He fell, but grabbed Steve's arm, and used his momentum to roll kick him away. The man jumped up, and pulled out a knife. Steve lifted his shield, blocking the downward jab. Steve swiped his shield, and used his free hand to swing a punch at him. He blocked, and tried to slice Steve's arm, but he missed. Steve backed up a bit, letting the man swing his knife, and in mid swing, Steve brought his shield down on the robotic arm, it making a terrible noise, and the knife dropped.

The man looked up at him, and started to attack with much more force. He blocked with the shield, but he kept moving backwards by the impact. His leg was then kicked, he fell to his knees, then he was kneed himself in the face. He fell on his back, his shield falling to the ground. The man kicked it away his weapon. Now it was a fist fight. Steve got up, his arms out in boxing stance. Steve could take a punch. He was hit many times by Loki, Red Skull, he was shot numerous times, and he always made it on top... But this robotic arm was taking a number on him. His forearms hurt from blocking, his jaw from being sucker punched, his stomach as well. But just as he was getting punches on him, Steve was giving him a run for his money. His robotic arm was still a bit bent, Steve got a few good jaw shots, but his mask covering his mouth was still up.

The man swung at him, Steve brought both forearms together, and then brought them outwards, leaving the mysterious man open. Steve grabbed him, and bent him over to make contact with his knee hard... If they were both normal human beings, they would have been out cold a long time ago.

CRASH

Steve turned to see in horror that the S.H.I.E.L.D. HQ's base just caved in, the building starting to crumble. Distracted, Steve was hit in the side by his own shield, and he flew back. He got up just in time to see the would be killer leaping off the building. He wished he could go after him, but now S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were in danger, especially Sharon. Steve got up, putting his shield back on his back, and looking at the scene before him. The building was falling to its side, people screaming, some falling out of windows, or getting crushed by debris... But his eyes went wide in horror as he saw a blonde on one of the top floors falling out a window as well.

He was getting ready to leap for her until the iconic sound of jets came in, and Ironman caught Sharon Carter.
"Miss Carter. Fancy meeting you here." Tony Stark said in his armor, Sharon in his arms as he flew away from the falling building. He touched the ground gently next to the other survivors. "You owe me a date. No turning back now." Stark said before flying back out to rescue others trapped inside the building.
Steve felt useless as he watched Stark grab his (secret) girlfriend to safety. Steve couldn't fly, he wasn't a genius, he didn't have a hammer or immortal... He was probably flirting with her right now, and who knows? she could have been swept off her feet by his performance. he let her get shot in the arm, and watch helplessly as she fell to her death. He started to feel the effects of the fight as he ran for the stairs to get down of the roof and make sure everyone was okay.

Steve Rogers burst through the doors yet again and ran across the street, running to Sharon. He wanted to hold her, and apologize for everything, and ask if she's alright, but now wasn't the time. They barely knew each other as far as everyone else was concerned. "Miss Carter, are you alright? How's the wound? what happened?" He asked, his tone as calm as he could make it, but his eyes showing real concern for her.

Breaking through the glass window was painful but not as much as Sharon imagined hitting the ground. Something about falling was not an experience that Sharon had ever wanted in her life. She wasn’t too afraid of heights but the idea of falling was never something that she enjoyed. Especially now that she was experiencing it.

It took until she had turned in the air and could see the ground that she let out a shriek of terror. Oh god, this… this is how she died.

ZOOM, THUD. Her small body smacked against metal as large robotic arms wrapped around her small waist and pulled her into it. The iconic sound of jet boots echoed in her ears as Sharon pulled open her blue eyes to see that Iron Man had got her from the fall. Her whole body was shaking as he held her; that was a large amount of fear in one small moment. Sure she had been involved in gun fire, hostage situations and the like but falling and almost turning yourself into pavement art was a new feeling for her.

Iron Man did set her down with a sense of grace and tenderness that typically isn’t seen by Tony Stark and apparently that much was read on her face as they exchanged a small stare between each other and he flew off. Her coworkers sprinted to her half of them were expressing their concern for her safety and health while the other half (the women) were begging of information of what could be going on between her and Tony Stark. Apparently if you want to get some attention, you have a small stare down with Tony Stark after he saves you from a falling building because the female coworkers that approached her and began to hound her with questions.

Sharon did her best to brush them off, using every excuse in the book to try to get them to stop asking her questions before she finally snapped. “Nothing is going on between Mister Stark and me!!! Quit asking!!!” That was enough to shake her coworkers off of her, leaving them to mumble things about Sharon wanting to keep things private and that there must be something going on between her and Iron Man, little where they aware that the man she had a connection with was running towards them in his suite.

“I’m fine Captain.” She said, giving her voice more of a reassurance than normal as a paramedic did the work on her arm. “Where is the shooter? I feel like it’s safe to assume he was part of the bombing…”

As if hearing the conversation Director Fury appeared out of nowhere. “Don’t start any speculations Agent 13.” He said sharply to her as she turned her head away showing that she didn’t like the way she was talking but she couldn’t argue back. His gaze moved back to Steve. “Where is he so we can take him in for interrogation.”

It was a huge relief to see her not too beat up, but she clearly looked upset by something... Maybe it had to do with Stark... He didn't know. He didn't want to talk about it now, even if it did still annoy him that he couldn't shut Tony up from flirting with Sharon...She soon talked about the shooter, asking where he was. Steve hesitated, his face still clearly beaten up, his lip bleeding, the shooter took a toll on the legendary Captain America. "He--" He was cut off by the Director. This was now embarrassing... He officially felt useless in this whole situation. He didn't save any hostages, he didn't save Sharon from being shot at, or flying out the window... He didn't even catch the shooter. He looked down at the ground, holding his own hands in front of him.

He looked up at Director Fury, clearing his throat. "He got away." He said simply, not even daring to glance at Sharon. Director Fury looked around, giving a sigh. "Well then. We have nothing... S.H.I.E.L.D has been compromised, as you can see. We have no leads, the explosions look like it was formed from a lab explosion, which shows no evidence of sabotage, the only person we have that could link it, was the shooter..." He looked at Steve.

"Who was the guy? He clearly wasn't a normal thug." Steve said. Director Fury looked around, and then talked quietly. "Now is not the time, Captain... For now, we need to relocate. I'm assuming any other S.H.I.E.L.D. base is compromised, so that leaves our options very limited..."

"Maybe I can help." Tony said coming back, his helmet open, looking at the three. "Stark Tower has it all, including drinks." He said.

The group of pencil pushers stared at the Captain, even Sharon got to her feet wanting to hear what had happened to the shooter and what his ties could be with the people who bombed S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters. Knowing what it’s like to be on the other side of a stare down, Sharon softened her face to make it look like one of comfort and reassurance. Whether the Captain had good news or bad news, she wanted to make sure that he knew that she was on his side and not someone who would judge him if something did go wrong.

When Captain said that the shooter got away, everyone’s faces changed but hers. She kept that ‘I believe in you and everything will be okay’ look on her face. She wasn’t sure if that meant anything to him but she knew her feelings towards the situation was true. If the shooter did get away, that means there was something very different about him, and that different was something that really should be noted. The conversation between the men going back and forth caused her and the group’s heads to turn form one person to another and when the mention of relocation came up, no one really knew how to answer. In fact, all gazes except for Sharon’s fell to the floor.

Then those words came up… Stark Towers a chill moved through her as Tony landed next to them and removed his helmet to explain his situation that he’d be able to house the team while the building was being rebuilt. If there was one thing for certain, it was that Stark Towers would be the next safest place for S.H.I.E.L.D. to move to, another thing was for certain… Sharon was not going to like it there.

“As much as I’d rather not take that offer… it’s the only option we have. “ Director Fury said before turning to the group of people that had begun to crowd around the three. “Tomorrow, you all will report for work at Stark Towers. I’m sure Mister Stark will have everything set up by the time you get in to be able to return to your regular jobs.”

“And drinks.” Tony said encouragingly glancing over at Sharon for a moment longer than everyone else before closing the mask. “But if you’ll excuse me, I really should go get a few things touched up at Stark Towers before everyone arrives. Good bye.” With that, he took off leaving the group there.

Later on in the evening Sharon was at her home, she had gotten back before Steve returned home but as an invite for him to come in, she left her front door open. In a white tank top and a pair of dark blue jeans, she sat on her couch attempting to wrap her arm without help. The problem was the shot was hit on her right arm and attempting to wrap with her left hand and using her chin as some form of holding tool. To say the least, it wasn’t working out so well and the faces she was making weren’t the most flattering. In fact she probably looked a bit stupid doing them but hey, she was trying!

After the little embarrassment in front of the office, Steve didn't go home. Instead he went to a gym. Steve walked in, his suit in his old dufflebag since he had no locker anymore. He needed to think, and he didn't think he could face Sharon right now. He didn't know what she would think of the legendary Steve Rogers losing her possible killer. He set up punching bags, punching them, lost in thought. Who was this guy? How did he get that robot arm? And how did he stand his punches? This guy was clearly his primary target. If he ever showed up again, he was going to get him. He won't be so lucky next time. After knocking 8 punching bags off the rack, he decided he should go back home, and make sure Sharon was alright.

He drove his motorcycle back to the apartment complex, climbing off. His cuts and bruises were smaller now, but his sides and face was still sore from the beating with the metal arm. He now wore his a gray athletic t-shirt, some jeans, and some sneakers. He walked up the stairs, and saw Sharon's door open. He was afraid of what she might say to him, but he cared for her, and wanted to make sure she was alright. He walked over to the door, giving a light knock. "Hey... How're you holding up?" He asked, stepping inside to see her working on bandaging her own arm, and making faces. Steve smiled, shaking his head. "Looks like you need a hand..." He walked over to Sharon, sitting next to her, taking the bandage, but not making eye contact with her. "Is this the only injury you got?" Steve asked gently, once putting on the bandage he used his free arm to gently run his hand up her shoulder.

Sharon was struggling with the bandage to the point where she was holding part of it in her mouth and tugging on it with her teeth. As was expected, just like everything in her life, Steve walked in just in time to see her looking like an angry dog. Her blue eyes shot up to look up at him as he walked inside, the fabric in her mouth in her mouth and her cheeks red in embarrassment that he caught her in such a weird moment. Spitting out the fabric from her mouth she gave an innocent and rather embarrassed smile. “A hand would be better than my teeth.” She said innocently as she watched him sit down and take the fabric from her.

Her gaze watched his face; he seemed to be not wanting to look at her as he worked on her arm. Confused, she tilted her head to one side, watching him for a moment longer before feeling his hand travel up her arm to her shoulder and rested there. “It’s just a graze Steve, I promise. Please don’t fret. I’m fine.” Again he didn’t look up at her. Her small free hand reached up, placing itself gently against his far cheek and turning his head to finally look at her. “You did everything you could do today Steve, please don’t beat yourself up for anything. We’ll catch this guy. We’re all a team; all of S.H.I.E.L.D. and as a team, we’ll track down who that guy was and who hacked into S.H.I.E.L.D.’s main frame. With everything you did do, I thank you Steve but please don’t avoid eye contact with me. That hurts me more than this graze.”

Steve kept his hand gently on her shoulder, but then somewhat melted as he hand touched his cheek. He obeyed her movements, his face in front of hers, but his eyes still staying away from her beautiful ones. He listened to her words, she meant good with them, but they made him feel worse. He finally looked at her, her beautiful features full of concern. "My whole entire life I wanted to help people. And when I got the chance, I did... But now, here... I feel helpless. I couldn't stop the bombs from going off, I couldn't save anyone who needed help, I couldn't even stop the guy that shot at you." He shook his head, his voice quiet.

"I understand the world has changed. Morals are more complicated now, and there's more than just a strong super soldier in the world. I've watched so many people die. I really don't want you to be one of them." The last few weeks with Sharon have been fantastic, and he wasn't just saying that. It has been such a long time since he felt at home, and their two apartments did. It was dangerous for both highly skilled agents to be dating, but he wasn't going to let her go. He wasn't going to let anything happen to her. Even if God himself started to attack New York.

“Steve,” She began, her thumb ran gently along his cheek as he finally looked at her. “Listen to me, and listen closely because I’m only going to tell you this once.” Sharon leaned forward, to make sure that he didn’t break eye contact with her. “You help people in so many ways. Your stories inspire children to do great and wonderful things, your actions protect hundreds of lives every day and you bring hope. In the end, hope is all we ever have and it is the driving force to accomplish anything. You, Steve Rogers, are hope.”

Leaning forward she placed her forehead gently against his, “We are a team. You, me, the Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D. We all are a team. Have hope that we can do it and we will be able to. Plus, I just found you. You can’t get rid of me that easily.” With that, she gently placed her lips against his. She didn’t keep them against his for too long in case he wouldn’t be happy for the reaction for she pulled back and smiled softly at him.

Steve was a humble man. He didn't expect a thank you for his deeds. He didn't want a parade in his honor, and he sure as hell didn't want to gloat about him being "perfect." So when she said hew as hope, it was hard to keep eye contact with her. All he wanted to do was to fight the bad guys... but her words did help. The hand on his face was calming after all that's happened today. Until the shooter was caught, and taken in to custody, that's when he won't worry, or get it off his mind. That was his thoughts until Sharon's lips touched his. It was good to feel something warm and soft, even if his lip was a bit bruised by being punched in the face a few times.

"Who ever said I wanted to get rid of you?" He finally said after the kiss, giving a small smile. "So... I think we deserve some pizza, a nice movie... and I wouldn't be a good soldier if I didn't make sure you were okay everywhere. You could have a hidden injury I don't know about..." Steve said with a smile. He wasn't used to this whole flirting thing, but they deserved some time to relax for a bit until going to work at Stark Towers tomorrow.

Sharon had found out that it was pointless for her to lie to Steve and even if she wanted to, she felt like she no longer could. After she found a connection with someone she thought she’d never feel; she couldn’t imagine her life without him in it. And if the only stipulation was ‘don’t lie to me’, she will tell him that he looks fat in jeans if he does. Sounds simple right?

His comment about hidden injuries made her smirk, a playful almost teasing smirk. So, let’s be clear. There was lying, then there was teehee, I’m lying. She couldn’t help but do a playful teasing lie every once and a while, but the smirk on her face showed that she was joking. “Well… I might have some neck pain… But you know what they say about booboos, if you kiss them it will make them better but… I can’t reach my neck.” Her full lips turned into an innocent pout as she turned her head and pointed to the side of her neck. “Will you kiss my neck and make it better?”

Steve gave a soft laugh at her comment. He didn't think he would be able to for a while, but sure enough Sharon Carter made him. "I'm no medic... But i'll see what I can do." He joked, moving closer to her as he gently put his hands on her. When it came to his strength, he made sure to be extremely careful when around Sharon. He was always good with it to begin with, but Dr. Erksine's words echoed through his head, strength had to have a limit. The one who earned strength won't misuse it. Her skin was soft to the touch, she smelled intoxicatingly good. He pushed some of her blonde hair out of the way as her lips gently touched her skin. He was glad she was safe, and here. He was glad that he didn't have to say goodbye to another person in his life... and he was really glad that she wasn't anywhere near Tony, where he would have tried everything to be in his position now.

"Feeling any better?" He said against her neck, kissing her skin softly. He never said it to her, he was always afraid to say it because in their line of work, it was dangerous to say these three words. He had strong feelings for her. More than a loyalty, or a bond you share when you're fighting alongside someone. It was more powerful... Steve Rogers was in love with Sharon Carter, but things were going go right now. He didn't want to scare her, or learn she didn't feel the same. Stupid, I know, but Steve is rather stupid when it comes to dating.

It’s funny to think there was a chance that something could have happened between Sharon Carter and Tony Stark, but it didn’t. Sharon didn’t want it, she had a feeling in her gut that someone would show up… someone who would remind her of the past and how important it was but someone she could also remind that the future is just as important. Would she have ever guessed it would be Captain America himself? Probably not, but her girl-ish childhood dreams always painted a picture of what it would be like to be in a relationship with the legend himself. Did she ever picture that he would be kissing her neck at this point in her life? That she’d be working for S.H.I.E.L.D., employed next to him and now finding something more than just a work relationship? No way! But to her, it was two different people; there was Captain America that the world knew and Steve Rogers, the Steve she knew.

“Much better.” She replied softly between the kisses against her neck. “But now my lips hurt.” Her voice was playful as she reached down and pulled his face from her neck, placing her full lips gently against his. After a few kisses she pulled back giving him a grin, flashing her straight white smile. “Much, much better! I can’t think of a single thing you can’t fix Steve.” With that she placed her forehead against his and opened her mouth to say more, only to be interrupted by a loud gurgling noise which instantly turned her face red. There was a moment of silence before she spoke again. “What kind of pizza do you want?”

The moment of them close to each other, and kissing each other passionately was something Steve very much enjoyed. But he still had that constant nagging in the back of his head. Why was he pretending everything was okay when a killer was still out. How could he spend time with Sharon when he couldn't stop the guy who hurt her? He's complaining about being useless, yet he could be helping S.H.I.E.L.D. repair and move in to Stark Tower! He wanted to very much be with Sharon right now, but he couldn't help but think that he shouldn't. He was glad that she didn't pick it up in his facial expression, because just as she was about to speak her stomach rumbled. He smiled and laughed a bit, putting his hand up to her now red cheek.

"How about I run by Ray's real quick?" He gave her a light kiss on her forehead, looking at her wounded arm for a second before getting up. "In my apartment I have a bottle of wine from 1942. Pizza and wine is some high end eating here in the Big Apple... and after today, we could use a drink." Steve said with a small smile and nod, giving her the okay to go through his apartment. Out of the few weeks they spent with each other, it was rare for them to be in his place. It wasn't that he didn't trust her, or thought she might snoop around, it was just her place felt more... lived in.

He gave her one last kiss before walking out of the apartment, and in to the cold New York night.
The drive to the place was refreshing. The night was illuminated with the skyscrapers, he could still hear sirens, and construction underway a few blocks from here at SHIELD HQ. He bought his pizzas, and was walking back to his motorcycle when his phone rang. Balancing the pies with one hand, he pulled his phone out of his pocket. "Hello?"

"Glad to see you haven't forgotten how to use this."

"Stark?"

"Hey, i'm calling to ask a question. Do you want your room decked out in Red White and Blue, or Army Green? Jarvis and I couldn't decide on which one you'd like--"

"What are you talking about?"

"Director Fury has a nice little surprise for all of... Us tomorrow." He used the word Us were potentially. It could have only meant one thing. "I don't plan on living in the tower--?"

"Hey, he said it wasn't final decision... but just in case New York once again goes to shit, and we have to stick together... he just thought everyone should get their own little place in my Mansion." Stark said casually. "Oh, Fury also wanted me to tell you that you need to get up bright and early. he might have a lead for you... Hey, do you know if Miss Carter would like a joined room with mine, or--"

Steve turned off the phone, and got on to his motorcycle yet again, and took off for the apartments. he arrived minutes later, knocking lightly on Sharon's door, pizzas in hand, starting to feel the fact that he hadn't eaten in hours as well.

His worry about her and her arm was cute. He really didn’t like the fact that she was hurt but seemed to be more worried about the fact that she was hungry. As he left, she ventured into his apartment, one of the rare times she had been in there. Sharon really didn’t want to snoop but she did find herself looking around; the place was simple, almost empty compared to hers. It didn’t have very many memorabilia’s but he was frozen for most of his life anyway so finding things from his time frame would be difficult.

During her search for the wine, she ran across some open old files of people he used to work with spread out on his desk, there was a file for her aunt, a few people she didn’t recognize and one of Tony’s father Howard Stark. Was she all that surprised to see that the two looked a lot alike? Not really. And they both seemed to have a sense of arrogance about them, and on his paperwork; just like it says on Tony’s, the word genius was in all capitals. Typical Starks, always wanting to draw attention to themselves while pretending they don’t.

The beautiful bottle of wine sat in one of his cabinets which did actually take her a while to go through. But she found it! Excitement built inside of her, she didn’t drink wine very often but aged wine was always something that was considered ‘fancy’ and Sharon Carter was anything but in her opinion. But here she was! Getting treated all fancy like by the man of her dreams… literally, when she was little and even… admittedly, into her adulthood, she dreamt about Steve Rogers and what it was like to be around him. Would you say her dreams lived up to the reality? No, reality was so much better.

She couldn’t help but skip from his apartment, locking the door behind her and back into hers. Into the kitchen she skipped, placing the bottle down with a gentle grace before pulling a pair of wine glasses from one of her cabinets and placed them on her counter. The next trick was to attempt to open the bottle. She got the cork screw in just fine but---with the bottle being as old as it was--- she was nearly red faced by the time Steve returned; knocking on his door like he always did.

Letting out a huge puff of air and leaning back against the counter top, she called out breathlessly, “In the kitchen. Geeze…” She said with a glare at the bottle in her hand. She wrapped her fingers around the wooden handle and attempted to give another pull, only to let out a disappointed grunt. “Well my goal was to have this poured before you got back but the cork as different plans!”

Steve burrowed his eyebrows when he heard Sharon's tone of voice through the door. He opened it to see her trying to desperately open the old bottle of wine. He smiled at the sight, closing the door behind him, and putting the pizza on the counter. "Hot and fresh." Steve said with a nod, turning his attention to Sharon. He gently took the bottle, and examined it. "Well, unfortunately for the cork..." He gave it a small pull and it popped. "I liked your plans. thanks for loosening that for me." Steve said with a playful teasing tone. He set down the bottle, helping her take the plates and glasses out of her cabinets.

"Tony called me while getting the pizza... Said they had a surprise for everyone tomorrow, and need to get to bed early." Steve said, walking over to the pizza boxes and opening them. "I don't think sleep's gonna be so easy, especially with some good food, fine wine, and a very beautiful dame here with me." Steve said, realizing he was slipping in his 40's slang in to his words. He couldn't help it at times. Dame was nothing bad, or insulting, but it was weird coming from a mouth this day and age.

When Steve arrived, Sharon was red faced and her cheeks were puffed out with her last desperate attempt to open the bottle before he go into the kitchen and, of course, she stood there looking like, what she would consider, a fool trying to open a bottle of wine. Non-verbally admitting defeat, she handed over the bottle looking obviously disappointment that she wasn’t able to open it prior to his arrival. But he always had a way of making her feel like she was able to do something or that what she did in fact helped when truth be told, the stupid thing didn’t even budge. He was such a kind hearted person and made everyone feel special. She felt very flattered when he was someone who could make Hercules jealous… and Tony Stark.

A smile moved across her lips as she picked up the bottle and followed him to the pizzas, gently pouring the wine into each of the glasses. Right now, they both needed good wine, a greasy pizza and great company; and Sharon felt like she had both. Pouring the final glass she placed the bottle back down and took up both the glasses. She handed one of them to him with a smile. “Well, seeing as though you have a beautiful dame with you and I have an amazingly wonderful and handsome man with me this evening so work can shove it and I’m going to enjoy my time with him.” With that she turned to him, leaning against her counter, she held up her glass. “To telling work to shove it and relaxing.”

Steve smiled at her words, it seemed as though they got embarrassed at different things, but they never seemed to think differently of each other. He walked in on her trying to pull out the cork, trying to bandage herself, dancing along to her music, and every time he thought that she was one in a million, and he was lucky enough to be drinking wine and eating pizza with her. He took the glass of wine, giving a nod and making a small toast to her. "Here here." Steve took a sip of the wine. One of the many side effects of the serum was his ability to never be intoxicated, no matter how much he drank... It probably didn't make him a party animal, but it was useful when he is intoxicated with poison, or having to go through chemical gases on the job with very little damage.

He moved closer to Sharon as she leaned on the counter. "Not bad. Glad I kept it..." Steve said, bending down a tad bit to give her a soft kiss on the lips. He also took another glance at her shoulder. He knew it wasn't serious, and it was treated, but he just couldn't help but make absolutely positive she was alright. He was so worried that he probably didn't tend to his wounds that much. He had the doctors for Shield check him out, but they couldn't mend bruises, or heal a black eye. He was happy that both of them were in good condition. He put slices of the pizza on plates, handing her one. "Bon apetite." The thought of going to "work" tomorrow at Stark Towers soon left his mind as it was more focused on the beautiful blonde, and the night they had ahead of him.

It'll probably end like any other night with Sharon, with talking and laughing, and a lot of kissing and Steve bringing another movie that he has yet to watch. And then he would usually go back to his apartment much later in the night. Him being all about respect, did not want to intrude on Sharon's privacy, therefore he never spent the night with Sharon in his arms. As much as he would love that, there was always that fear of Shield making a surprise visit to their apartments, and again, he wasn't the type of guy to just invite himself to that. But who knows? Today was a bit of a realization that Sharon meant so much to Steve. He was a man of morals, and doing what was right, but after losing so many people in his life, he might forget all of those things to protect the people that mean the most to him.

Sharon and Steve spent the night together talking, laughing and sharing stories once again. She still had the tingling feeling in the back of her head that she might end up boring Steve but he had quite a few questions that she could answer because of her history class and he was able to share stories from first hand experiences of what it was like to grow up when he did. The wine was delicious and after her third glass she really was feeling it, she laughed harder, smiled bigger and was a bit more playfully aggressive on her couch with the man she was falling for.

However, midnight soon hit her clock and with their schedules, they knew that they would have to be up early to get to Stark’s Towers. Of course, they spent quite some time saying ‘good bye’ at her door and she didn’t climb into bed until one in the morning, only to turn around and get up at five. Unlike every other morning, she woke up with very little sleep exceptionally happy! There was a pep to her step and a smile on her face; was she still tipsy? Nah, but her arm didn’t hurt and she had a good night with Steve before they parted so, yeah it was a good night and waking up was easy

Her morning return was rather steady and she couldn’t complain… except that she couldn’t spend time with Steve at work, that was something that she didn’t enjoy. But it was only smart for them to keep the situation between themselves; and themselves only.

Stark Towers roared over New York City, screaming about it’s personal power and just how, well ‘awesome’ it was. Yes, it would talk just like Tony would, considering he’s the engineer behind it. Walking up the stairs, she; like her other coworkers, stared up at the height of the skeptical that is Stark Towers. Though Sharon was far from as hypnotized as her coworkers were as she was one of the first to enter the building; only to have a voice ring through the building, “Sharon Carter, Agent 13; height Five foot Nine inches, blonde hair, blue eyes, expert gun shooting, technical knowledge and snipping skills. Access Granted. Miss Carter please proceed to floor forty three where your facilities await.”

“Facilities?” She repeated only really meant for herself as she stepped into the elevator.

“Yes, per instructions of Director Fury, the staff that was able to be saved from the explosions will be new residences at Stark Towers until such repairs are completed from the towers. An immeasurable amount of personal information has been compromise; safety in numbers Miss Carter.”

“Jarvis…” She asked softly, “Who is my room near?”

“Directly across from you Miss Carter is the room of Natasha Romanoff; to your right is Steve Rogers and to your left is Tony Stark.”

“Really!?” She asked in a state of shock as the elevator dinged at level forty three. “Please tell me the door locks from my end.”

“If it makes any difference Miss Carter, there is a lock; latch and chain bolt. Mister Stark wished it so that you wouldn’t be disturbed when he came to visit.”

“Fan-freaking-tastic.” She said sarcastically as she stepped off on the floor and followed the directions giving by Jarvis to find the door that has her name scribed gently along the wood, she opened the door to drop her purse on the ground in surprise. Her room was nicer than her apartment, the only thing that could have made it better was a door that lead into Steve’s room. Now… things were going to be a bit difficult to continue her relationship… it was a relationship right? Or something like that, with Steve in private. “Wow.” She said in shock as she stood in her doorway, to her right was two key rings, one of herself and one if she was possibly going to give it to someone else. But she was too distracted by the design of the room to really move from the open door.

Steve woke up for his routine the same time he always did, even after spending the night with Sharon. A lap around Manhattan, a shower, and then some other small exercise routines and he was ready for work. Today he wore a dark blue button up shirt, with the sleeves rolled up, some black slacks, and matching shoes. He also put on his leather jacket, and made his way for the door. He would have been much happier going to work if he knew that the HQ was in tact, and so many people didn't get hurt or die during yesterday's incident. He didn't feel sadness. This day and age it seemed like everything was war. And in war, you will lose some very good men and women on both sides. Steve learned that lesson a long time ago. What really bugged him was the man with the robot arm.

Steve parked on the street right in front of Stark Tower, looking up at the place, his iconic shield on his back, even when dressed normally. As soon as he stepped in Jarvis' voice spoke through the intercom. "Steven Grant Rogers, Captain America. Height 6 foot 2 inches. Blonde hair, blue eyes. Peak human agility, reflexes, strength, and senses. fluent in German, Russian, Japanese, also a skilled artist. Access Granted. Captain Rogers, please proceed to floor 43 where your facilities await."

So its official... We're moving in. He thought to himself as he didn't ask any questions, and going to the elevator. Soon enough he was up in the penthouse. Stylish oak, steel, and glass interior. modern furniture, a bar, and glass screens. The whole place screamed "Stark." He walked up the staircase to reveal the new rooms, all having a name on them... Banner... Thor... Hawkeye... Rogers. He opened the door to reveal a modern looking room. And to his surprise, a lot of things from his era. A vintage radio, an old mounted World War II rifle on the wall, a Brooklyn Dodgers (now the Los Angeles Dodgers) poster, and other small trinkets that he remembered pretty fondly. It must have come from Stark's Dad's personal collection of vintage items. On one of the walls he had a place to mount his shield... This place was very well made. As if they planned on this a while ago...

He wasn't sure if he really wanted this though. He didn't like being told where to live... He tossed the jacket on the bed, and looked around a bit before hearing something next door. Stepping out, Steve saw his next door neighbor was in their own room... and to his relief it was Miss Sharon Carter. "Nice place... Although I think I like your apartment a bit more." Steve said gently at the doorframe, giving a smile when she turned around. It was one of the small opportunities he had to talk to her in an unofficial tone. He was sure Stark was somewhere, probably getting himself ready to present himself to Sharon... If they were forced to live here, their little relationship was going to be harder to keep a secret...

Sharon took a couple steps into the apartment in wonder. In fact, half of her was afraid to touch anything, in fear it might break and Tony would have it come out of her paycheck. The other half wanted to jump around like an excited kid. This looked like an oversize hotel room that was unnecessarily large and exciting to be in. Placing her purse gently down on the coffee table in front of the couch she peeled off her black jacket revealing her white blouse and draped it along the couch’s arm before placing her hands on her black slack covered hips. She had to give it to Stark; he certainly knew how to decorate a place to fit a girl’s taste. Too bad he didn’t fit her taste for everything else. Her taste was more along the lines of…

A voice rang softly into her room and she turned around, her body now facing the voice that belonged to her taste. Shrugging her shoulders softly she slipped her hands into her pockets giving him a tender smile. “It’s not the place that makes it a home…” She said softly, walking to him to close the gap between the two; her smile getting brighter as she did so. “It’s the company that you keep. And as long as I have a great neighbor I’m not going to complain.”

“Of course you’ll have a great neighbor!” As if his senses were tingling, Tony Stark made his very unwanted appearance behind Steve and even with Steve being taller and a lot more built than the man, Tony somehow slipped by him and entered the room without permission. “You’ll be next to me. I mean, what more could you ask for?” His toothy grin seemed to give off the impression that he didn’t understand that in some cultures (and times) coming in without asking would be considered rude. And as far as Sharon was concerned, the only person she had given permission to enter her room without her consent is the same one still in the doorway. “In case you didn’t see...” Tony said plucking the keys from the wall hanger and holding both of them out in the palm of his hand to her. “I left you two house keys, just in case you wanted to leave one with someone for… safe keeping.” Even in his jeans and black ACDC t-shirt, a normal girl could not deny that the glowing chested man wasn’t a good looking guy.

And while Sharon Carter couldn’t deny that he was a decent looking guy, she could easily say that she didn’t feel anything else towards him. Plucking one key from his hand, she slid it into her pocket. “That’s a good idea.” Before he could close his hand around the key, signaling that he was the one to receive it; she removed it from his palm and walked past him.

“Captain,” She began, hating the formality of things but knowing that the show must go on. “I know this is a bit unorthodox but could you hold onto my spare key for my apartment. If I lock myself out it would be very convenient with your place being next door.”

“And Miss Carter I wanted to talk to you about that date.” Tony said rather bluntly not giving Steve much of a chance to respond.

“About that Mister Stark…” Sharon said quickly turning around to face him, even with the almost batting of the dark brown eyes and innocent smile from Tony, she continued onward without a moment of hesitancy. “while I appreciate you catching me from the explosion of S.H.I.E.L.D. headquarters, I have to decline you’re offer for a date.”

Tony’s face grew into an innocent pout, “But why?”

“You’re not my type Mister Stark.” She said with a shrug sliding her hands into her pockets.

Tony slid to her with an eerie grace as if he had done the move one too many times before, catching her right hand and pulling her to him as if he had done it one too many times before. “Aw but that’s not what you said that night.”

As quickly as Tony got her hand she removed it, sliding back from him with a grace of her own; and a grace of complete denial. “I said that you were a good dancer. That does not make you ‘my type’,” She said proceeding to do air quotes with her fingers before dropping her hands to her sides. “I’m sorry that it came across as misleading but, while I appreciate all you’ve done for me, the company and the world; I just don’t see you in that light.”

His reaction was classic Tony, all he could do was smile. “Well, it’s been my pleasure.” He said with a small bow to his head before starting towards the door. He stopped at the Captain looking down at the key, than back up to him, a small flicker of his eyebrow in a questioning motion before looking over his shoulder at Sharon shooting her another dashing smile, a smile that says ‘I will not take no for an answer.’, “If you ever need anything Miss Carter, you know where I’m at. Just knock.” And with that, he left the room ramming his shoulder into Steve’s, much like Steve had done nothing more than the day before.
