Steve smiled as Sharon walked up to him, his arms crossed across his chest as she talked. He was glad she thought so. He started to feel a lot at home with Sharon, and although Steve was not an emotional man who told everyone everything about himself, he did tell Sharon a lot. Just before he was going to reply, another voice did... and it really shouldn't have surprised him to have Tony standing there. Steve gave a cough and looked around the room. His little talk with Sharon was sadly now over.
Soon the conversation turned to something he really didn't want to hear. Why couldn't Stark just stick to a girl, be happy with her, and take a hint that not everyone enjoyed the cocky, arrogant type. His hands went to his pockets, his jaw clenched the more he flirted with the woman he was falling for. Like father like son. Stark tried to flirt with Peggy right in front of him, and he thought that his chances were over. He couldn't help but think the same thing right now. Which was stupid, because Sharon clearly wasn't having any of his words.
His mind snapped back to Sharon when she addressed him as Captain. She handed him a key, and he politely took it, but his eyes shined with a bit of triumph over Stark. He had the key, and not him. He had to make sure he gave her his own key. It had to be fair, right? "i'll keep this safe miss--" He was cut off by Tony, yet again trying to ask for that date that Sharon told him about. His jaw clenched again, and so did his fist. He looked away from them, sitting there awkwardly as Tony went on. He wasn't going to step outside, or walk off. He wasn't going to leave Tony alone because he knew his silver tongue.
And then he brought her in close. Steve was very tempted to take Tony by the shoulder, and throw him through the wall and in to his own room. That thought was gone when Sharon slid out of his arms, and telling him off. Steve had to hide a smile. Was he her type? What type was he? He hoped she didn't spend much time with people like Steve, or he'd have a run for his money! Tony was everything a girl could ask for. Looks, heroic, charming, rich... But he guessed Sharon was more in to the Brooklyn type.
Tony and steve had a brief but intense staring contest, and then he brushed past his shoulder, Steve's shoulder falling back as it did so, absorbing the hit. He watched him leave, then turned back to Sharon. "So Tony Stark's not your type, huh?" The smile he was trying so hard to hide was now revealed, looking at her extra pair of keys in his hand and then putting it in his pocket.
