Rare a long history is absolutely fine.

As demonstrated by Mosis, length is no issue in sheet creation. In fact if the detail is there in your mind, I encourage you to get it down on (figurative) paper - its hard to have too much detail!

I may bitch about having to read long apps, but really I do enjoy them :)

For those interested, my own sheet is now complete and located here.

If you're wondering why Zhar's history seems kinda incomplete, its because it is. He is one of my oldest characters on the Guild and has a very long history, much of which does not pertain to this RP, and so has been left out for the moment. Incidentally, the desire to use him in the proper setting is one of my major inspirations in creating this RP. Thus, he can be thanked for the existance of this entire thread.

With that announcement, the only thing remaining to do is to complete the first IC post. Then its off to do more sheet reviews. Busy is the life of a new-GM.

That is good, since my organization gathers information. Gonna need someone to sell it to, so they can then sell it off again at a higher price :P

I feel the desire to start announcing certain game mechanics relating to the 'living world' aspect of my game, as they may very soon become pertinent.

Every so often, there will be news broadcasts from one of the many major news networks, not unlike the one at the very top of the OP.

They shall (hopefully) add a bit of humour while also providing a vital aspect in information distribution ICly - anything on the news is known by all characters as soon as its broadcast. It is highly likely this will be where any GM notes go as well (underneath it in a hider for immersion purposes of course).

These broadcasts may occasionally contain reports on player actions! If someone has done something in such a way as to be both newsworthy and easy for the reporters to know about, you can be sure the whole galaxy will know about it pretty quickly.

They may also serve as an announcing point for any mishaps that occur... and they most certainly will occur. Stay tuned for more on that.

I think home-field advantage could be enough to defeat a Blood-pack assault, though don't count them out forever. They don't like being defeated and they're gonna hold a grudge. Perhaps change 'and they never would attack again' to something along the lines of 'and they have not attacked since.'

Other than that, I suggest you begin to work on your characters.

For those of you not yet accepted, worry not. There is little advantage gained overall by those accepted, as very few people know the whereabouts of the Artifact yet, and by the time its location is public knowledge, you will've been accepted or very close to it. Until the date of acceptance, everyone is still free to work on prior relationships and such, including changing entries in their sheets even if they are accepted - within reason of course.

I am using a failed Bretin carrier that I managed to acquire through the junkyards. Jason doesn't really like pirates. However despite that I have a Gladiator ring and a large audience willing to bet on fights which is the only need I would have off slaves so would likely acquire some from time to time. Or you could use my ship to host auctions, always helps to have a famous venue.

Beyond the standard "you can come to me for information or chill on the ship or use it as a meeting place" I can't think of any other reason for you to come to me specifically.
