Username: Dragonbud (DB)
Character Name: Louisa “Lou” Wicker
Age: Fifteen
Gender: Female
Appearance: Picture
Personality: Louisa gives off a vibe of “I'll mess with you if you mess with me.” Being raised in a house with little to no rules or authority shaped Louisa into an independent girl with little need to give respect to those who have not earned it. She rarely asks others for help, despite often needing help. Schooling has always been hard for Louisa, as she isn't the fastest learner. However she is too noble to herself to ask a teacher for help catching up. She still tries her hardest though, so every little victory is a big one to her. Louisa has a rather complex past, one she doesn't often share with others, that shapes her into a rather complex person. The only people who might know of it are the staff of the school. Deep down, Louisa is a bit of a lonely person and is too shy to initiate conversations with people she has just met.
House: Wisteria
Bio: Louisa was born to two magical parents in a house full of magic. She lived up in the quiet areas of Maine, away from any prying eyes other then some tired old farmers. Her mother was a Seer, wise and famous among the world of wizards as a talented potion brewer. Witches and wizards would travel from all over to buy her potions. Anything from potions of healing and poisons to more cosmetic potions and brews. Dorothy Webbing was her maiden name and she was the one who build the shack in Maine that was overflowing with potion ingredients, as well as constantly surrounded by stray cats. She was soft spoken and quiet, teaching Louise everything she knew about brewing magical potions.
Her father, on the other hand, is not soft spoken or quiet. He was an ambitious and charismatic broom flying champion. He is young and fearless, working as a traveling performer before he met Louise's mother. It must have been true love for him, as he quickly gave up the performing life to settle down. His name is Randolph Wicker and he learned to settle for flying through cattle fields at night. He took it upon himself to teach Louisa to work for what she wants as well as never taking no for an answer. He also taught Louise to fly a broom, and after several failed attempts, Louisa was almost flying as recklessly as her father.
Magic came naturally and freely to a young Louisa, since her parents had rather lack rules within the house. And with no fear of getting caught Louise practiced and practiced. Things couldn't stay good forever, as her father suddenly and unexpectedly disappeared. Louisa’s mother expected foul play in the form of dark arts. Rumors circulated that her father had left to rejoin his old life. She fell into a deep depression, mourning while still trying to care for a young Louisa. Life began to settle back down for the two, until the day Louisa received an acceptance letter to the Salem Academy. At first she was against leaving her peaceful and free lifestyle to go to the magical school, but her mother insisted. It would be good for her to learn from teachers instead of her mother and make friends who are not just neighbors or stray cats.
