Average height and build with a pretty face, icy blue eyes, and fair complexion. Shoulder length, light brown hair that's often pulled up into a bob with curls. Or a ponytail at the very least. She favors skirts and blouses with tights and a nice coat when it's cold. She's normally seen with a smile on her face.

Personality:
Bright, bubbly, and attention seeking. She's kind and loyal without getting anything in return, it's just her nature, but if you give her the attention that she's after she'll be even kinder and more eager to help you out. She's mildly hard working, more then willing to blow off work to do something fun. A bit of a bad girl, but more often just the girl that seems like she wants to be the bad girl. She just likes the fun and the looks it gets her. She wasn't really one for ever being concerned about serious things, but despite that she's very protective of her family and friends.

Bio:
The third, and last child of a (old family) pure blood witch and a muggle, life was rather good for her. Her father, of course knew what their mother was since his sister had turned out to be a witch as well and the two girls had meet in their time together at the Salem academy. Her father helped her mother run an apothecary for muggle use in the outskirts of a small Missouri town, using her healing and wizardry knowledge to help the open minded without doing outright 'potion' work or magic on them. Many in town suspected the family to be of the magic persuasion, but since nothing overtly bad had ever happened around them, the townsfolk left them alone and never threatened to pull out the pitch forks and torches as it were.

The Brighton's kept their children out of muggle schools. Not because they had a problem with them, they just decided they could teach them just as well at home. And this way, their mother could teach them about the wizarding sides of the basics things of science and history and maths. The children were involved in a local homeschooling group and made quite a few friends of the locals, even if some of them thought them all a little crazy.

Sylvia is now following after her mother, and more recently her older sister Florence (ten years her elder), and her older brother Lucius (six years her elder). Since her first year, she felt like she had a lot to live up to between her sisters grades and book learning, and her brother's natural talent at everything. But after third year she gave up trying to be better than them and has just accepted that she was going to be the goof off that didn't make top marks or prefect or anything like that. She's still holding out a bit of hope that maybe she'll make team captain, though, even if that doesn't look too likely. But hey, at least she has a chance for that.

Strengths
*She's inherited her mother's innate talent at the healing arts and as such is also rather skilled in potion making and herbology.
*She's an amazingly quick reader, and rather good at retaining a lot of information despite seemingly like most of it isn't there.
*A rather good flyer and decent Chaser, she tried out for the open position on the team in her fourth year.
*She's got a knack for counter jinxes and what not since her brother and older cousins like to tease her and pick on her with them. Nothing ever lastingly harmful though. She's also pretty good at casting them right back as well.
Weaknesses
*Sylvia's a little naive, and a little too willing to let someone drag her along on an adventure that might get her into trouble.
*Her magical talent is a little lacking compared to others in her family, and some cousins on her mother's side have made it known that that's just not acceptable, so when someone calls into question how good she is at something, she can sometimes snap back rather painfully (for that person).

Classes:
The usual for 5th years: Transfiguration, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Charms, Potions, Astronomy, History of Magic, and Herbology. For her electives she's added Ancient Runes and Divination.

Wand
5" birch, unicorn hair core. A sturdy wand despite it's delicate, almost icicle looking nature. The handle is carved with snowflakes.

Character Name: Marshall Scott.

Apperance:

Personality: He has a very curious personality, always thriving to learn more. Marshall is a sociable person, but has grown to be a bit dark with his perception of things. He's not an attention seeker, but he does take credit for his accomplishments. He's proud, and trustworthy - though it doesn't take him long to get angry. He is good at making use of what he has. He can be aggressive, due to his father, and is known to lose it when someone makes a smart comment - negatively aimed at him. He's a fast learner with the desire to expand his knowledge. Over all, he is honest. When he does lie, it's for a good reason. He is cunning, usually confident.

House: Viserious.

Bio: Marshall was born to pure blood parents in the state of Louisiana. An only child, unloved by his father - but loved by his mother. The reason for this is Marshall wasn't planned, he was born an accident - a mistake. His mother was over joyed, but his father was angry, aggressive - upset. It didn't take long for Marshall's mother to realise that her husband didn't want the child. She wasn't giving him up for adoption - despite her husbands persuasive efforts. The thing is, he had an older brother. The golden child. He always did everything right, he was planned, and always made his family proud.

During his childhood, Marshall was never accepted by his father. His mother cared for him, but he was always living in his big brothers shadow no matter what. It wasn't just his dad, the whole family line disliked him - and never saw him as a member of the family, except his mother. He was not in a very poor family, not entirely rich either but they were well off - with over enough to raise their two kids. Marshall's brother was a bully to Marshall, but no one would intervene, no one cared. His mother would split them up when she could but she wasn't by his side 24/7.

He was raised in Louisiana, he was in the public and knew of magic - but was not exposed to it. They would rarely use it around Marshall. When at the age, even to his fathers detest, he went to The Salem Academy of Magical Arts. He was put in Viserious house, he had a hard time making friends, but he did over time. The teachers didn't like him much either - he wasn't his older brother. He was always the teachers favourite, a popular kid who passed his classes easily. He also was the sporty kind. Marshall always had a deep interest with spells. He'd read spell books repeatedly, constantly expanding his knowledge of spells.

Marshall loved flying. When he was in the sky, he had no problems. There was no family issues, no one to cause him problems or anything - he was free up there. Quidditch was always a big favourite of his, and it was something he wasn't that bad at. When he played, it was as a chaser. He loved the fast pace and the competition, but most of all he had fun playing it. As the years went on he made more friends, and his confidence grew. But he wasn't usually the way he should be. Years of being shunned by his father, and living in his brothers shadow took its toll on him mentally. He grew tired of being second all the time, and over time formed a darker personality. He's not a bad guy, or mentally disabled. He's just done with taking all the crap given to him. After years of bullying and neglection, he has been in a few fights. Both before, and after he went to the Academy. He has only been in two fistfights at the academy in which he lost both - he stood his ground and fought back though. He doesn't get bullied as much any more though, since he started being able to use his Wand to defend himself.

Personality: Robert is an intelligent child who doesn't shy from a confrontation. He tends to get rather boastful if he succeeds in his jobs and will sulk off if he fails. Robert isn't a fan of hand to hand combat and prefers to let his wand do the talking for him. He was born into an upper-middle-class family, so he tends to have a snooty aura about him and is used to getting what he wants instead of being told 'no'.
House: Viserious
Bio: Robert was born in a large family home that was hidden somewhere in the Mojave Desert. Both his parents are full-blooded and Robert flaunts it like it was some kind of medal. Robert had no siblings so all his parent's love was centred directly on him, and he loved it. He got whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted, and nobody was there to tell him he couldn't have what he wanted. Robert didn't know what his parents did for a living, and frankly, he didn't care. He was living a care-free life and absolutely nobody was going to take it away from him. His parents were the type to give in easily and buy him what he wanted.

At age 11, Robert received his letter informing him he'd been given a place within the Salem Academy of Magic. He was overjoyed to get away from the boring, Muggle lifestyle and finally be with children from more or less the same background as him. He was sorted into Viserious house and loved it. He didn't exactly ace his classes but became a popular student and breezed through his younger years. Robert enjoyed Quidditch and loved to play as a beater. He had his own broom and nets in his back yard and used to play the game with his father.
