"In the whole scheme of things, there is not much difference between the two." Micah had to think for a moment on the question. "I suppose because I must." They answered, looking down at their beverage. "However, it will be nice to have some new bodies to impale once more." At the mention of the act, a small smile appeared on Micah's face, before fading back to nothing. Though they didn't do it often anymore, it was one of the few things that gave them excitement, and their only reason for even bothering to fight.

Micah, never being fond of group gatherings, didn't look too impressed to see Ezekiel. The fellow demon had always give them a strange feeling, with wearing the cross and such. "Good evening, Ezekiel. Did you wish to discuss something?"

Taking the ring into her possession, Kokoro decided that she would keep this proof of the contract safe. According to the spirit before her, it held her soul within such. Most sane people tend to desire items with their soul contained within to be both safe and healthy, whether it be the body or a ring.

That was when it was heard.

A slight rumble one might expect to hear from a hungry child or something of the like.

Falling to a knee, Kokoro had remembered something rather important. She had yet to eat for the last few hours, skipping her dinner to "play" a bit in a place her family owned. Forgetting her original goal, only to be remembered due to an oppressive feeling in her stomach, Kokoro forced herself up.

"I hope you don't mind if I grab something to eat first though?"
"Ahahaha~. Splended, boy! I have not met a kindered spirit like yourself in some time," Suzu simply said to Yamato. whom of which accepted a contract without even concerning over the details of such.

"You are either brazen or an idiot. Either way, you have caught my attention, boy. I want you to have this."

Suzu reached into her pocket, taking out what appeared to be a wrist watch of sorts, though it appeared to radiate a certain degree of both craftsmanship and durability.

"This is the symbol of the bond we now share. Make sure you take care of it, alright~. It does contain your soul, after all~."
"There is no true reason for my appearance here, Micah. Simply just checking on a few things. It is really so suspicious of me to meet with other Demonlords?" Ezekiel said in a rather straightforward, matter-of-fact sort of way. After all, Ezekiel was someone who was loyal to those he considered allies, but aside from that he acted on any way "loyalty" dictated him to act. Even those who Ezekiel considered "friendly" would be eliminated in the event that they went against a code of "loyalty".

That being said, Ezekiel, though devoted, never really seemed like a popular demon in the ring. He was a decorated individual, ending conflicts quickly and with accuracy to orders, but one might say his "overzealous" personality seemed to others like an overbearing point.

"Might we share a drink, the three of us? With the recent developments, I am sure you understand that communications between us higher-ups might be necessary for the prosperity of our kind in this battle. Of course, it is not as if I believe that we really have a disadvantage that would make us lose. We are the best of the best, after all."

Disestablishment on the battlefield was something that Ezekiel would consider an honor to make part of. Winning a battle could turn the tides of wars; every small skirmish counted.

"Of course, I am not here to steal any of your glory. That is why I state that conferences such as between us should hold importance. Would you both not agree?"

Monsone wasn't expecting this kind of answer, since most of the time she made pacts with people in the past, they would answer with 'I need to save someone or something.' This girl seemed like she only wanted the pact to 'live,' and it was really unclear on why her answer would be that. the Spirit then pulled out a small pendant with a white crystal, handing it over to Corentine.

"I suggest you keep this safe...it's the symbol that we're linked together with this Pact, but please be careful with it. Even the slightest of cracks on that crystal will mean certain death for you...it is the vessel that now holds your soul within..." Monsone explained on this for the human girl, who boredly just wore it around her neck. As if she were ignoring the Spirit now, Corentine walked out of the alleyway casually, not even looking at the direction of the Spirit trying to keep up with her. for now, Corentine needed to get back to her apartment, and that was near the Scramble Crossing, and hopefully nothing stupid happens just because of this new pact she has with this Spirit.

Seras's eyes narrowed when Micah simply stated he fought because he must, and then that face turned into a grimace when he announced his joy in impaling people. At the same time, she could not complain about his choice of entertainment - after all, who was she to judge? Every demon had his or her own preference, no? Her own vice just happened to be gambling.

The grimace then turned to a smile as Ezekiel arrived. "Of course it would be important for us to at least stay in touch in these troubling times." she said vaguely due to the fact they were in a public area, "But if it is glory you fear I concern about then be at ease - I don't really care for glory, nor do I really care what people think of my participation in this upcoming event."

Keiji sighed. "If you're that famished, then I guess I can't stop you."

Secretly, however, Keiji wouldn't mind tasting food. Even if he did not need it.
Yamato eyed the watch with caution before taking it and strapping it around his wrist. "My soul? I guess I'll keep it safe then." after it was strapped on, he looked it over once more. If this thing really held his soul like she said - and he felt the presence of it inside - then would he die if it were broken? Probably, as that was what she was implying. Very well, he would make sure it did not break. After all, he did not want to die.

"Alright then! Is there more stuff I should know, then? What is this power? And what am I supposed to do with it? I feel as though you did not grant me it simply because I desire the fluffy tail" he questioned, then mentally added, 'Although that would be great!'

Micah watched Seras's expressions change as they continued to talk, and found amusement in them. It was a typical reaction, although she was one of the few who didn't have a comment on the manner. However, a response could have just been stopped by the Sixth's appearance.

For someone who didn't have a real reason for being there, Ezekiel did have a lot to say, in Micah's opinion. "Did I ever cast suspicion? I apologize if I have." Their tone stayed level, to a point where it was hard to tell if they were being sincere or not. "You may take a seat if you wish, Ezekiel." Such an area wasn't ideal for a meeting, but considering he was already here, they might as well talk about what they can. "While I do agree meetings between us should hold significance, glory is not something I'm worried about." As long as they could get a few bodies here adn there, Micah was perfectly content.

"Alright. Off we go, Keiji. I know a place that is decent around here," Kokoro simply said to the other, gesturing the other to follow her lead. After all, food was necessary to keep one healthy and whatnot. Kokoro, at times, did not seem to remember when meals are to come, but would usually realize her hunger sooner or later. Either way, the star-crossed pair was off to get food.
"The power is simple enough," Suzu stated to the other in a rather matter-of-fact sort of manner, her palms outstretching to Yamato's hands. Grabbing them, Suzu seemed to channel her power for a moment. After she had done this, a flicker had occurred, the area around them warping into something completely different.

It appeared they were on the roof of some sort of skyscraper, the city glowing in the darkness of night, artificially enduing a sense of "day".

"The power is to displace oneself to another area based on desire. Good enough for you, I would hope~"
"It appears that we are at least in agreement about the necessity of speaking with one another. I merely wish to participate in this war to show my own ability. I would prefer it if our operations are not to coincide, unless absolutely needed to do such."

To Ezekiel, this was simply proving grounds to display his loyalty to the fellow combatants within the war. He wished for the prestige of battle, his already known reputation as a fearless warrior was something he wished to increase knowledge of. After all, one should be rewarded for the loyalty they presented by their peers and the like.

Working together to complete a goal could be considered better for the overall mission, however, Ezekiel did not care if the mission was to be successful or not. Merely, he wanted to prove himself once again on the battlefield. His rank as the lowest Demonlord was not due to his ability, but rather the fact that he was new to the ranks. A self-made individual who wanted to increase his share of power. After all, prestige and loyalty to a cause were two intertwined goals, and to have the drive and cognitive abilities to make oneself prowess known by many, one can see themselves eventually gaining enough power to showcase to others around them.

"However, I do not want to dissuade you from your goals. Do as you wish to do; in your positions, you are to make your own choices in the matters. Handle this mission as you desire. I merely wish to prove myself once again through this battlefield; prove my prestige and loyalty to this cause. Nothing more. I have no qualms if you are to choose not to join or merely wish to kill. In fact, such actions are to be expected. Though, if you would like to join me in vanguard, such would prove rather helpful in the long run of things."

Micah watched Ezekiel as he talked, interested in his own view on the war. It seemed, like themselves, they had self-centered reasons for participating in the battle. His reason was to be expected, after all, being so new Micah was interested in his abilities, as well. While they would inevitably find out the information they desired in a premonition, there was no telling when, and that unpredictability made them unreliable. Right now, they would rather be alone, focusing on the future, but if they had to find out this way then so be it.

Micah thought his offer over for a moment. They didn't have a clear opinion on him yet, considering he was new. But he seemed ambitious, and as the death keeper above him, it gave them a reason to be cautious. However, the proposal was an interesting one, and possibly a good opportunity to observe him more. "While I was planning on simply taking a few corpses, I think I will join you, Ezekiel. It may give me more ambition to this annoyance." For now, at least, he would be a good ally; he killed for a goal, and therefore, it seemed he would kill often.

His home. Never felt so empty for him like it ever felt. It was a place where the dearest and dreadliest memories stood. It was somewhere he wanted to forget, somewhere that bothered him as always. There was a couch where he slept, a partially broken wardrobe and a small TV. That was all that Giovanni had left on his house. He threw his bag at a distant quarter of the room and decided to lay down and rest. If only I could sleep forever... to never wake up anymore... everything would be better. I wonder why my life was spared.... he thought. He closed his eyes and slept in the never-ending silence.

"Big Bro, wake up!! I have something to tell you now!!", a voice spoke. Giovanni woke up fast as he heard it. The voice that he heard on the street talked again. And this time, he was alone in the room. He looked around many times, but there was nothing. The room was completely empty. Giovanni decided to sleep again. "Are you really going to ignore me? I really don't wanna slap you!, the voice spoke once again. He wasn't able to sleep and for everything worse, he knew that voice. It was from his sister. Am I hallucinating...? Why am I hearing my sister's voice out of nowhere...?, he thought. "Maybe it's because I AM talking to you!!, it said.

When Giovanni looked, a small girl was floting in his front. She seemed angry with him. He scratched his eyes to see if that was an illusion, but no. She was really there. Took you long enough! How much would you let me wait?, she asked. Giovanni shaked his head and tried to believe in what she was trying to be. "Wait... are you my sister...?Are you truly Rafaella?!", he questioned her.. She sihed and closed her eyes. "How can you not believe me? Did you truly forgot how I loved you through all those years? And now that I can finally talk to you, you're throwing me away?! How cold of you!!", she said. Giovanni wasn't believing, but it was really her. "But... how? How are you able to see me? Or more specifically, how I am able to see YOU?", he asked.

She spinned around his brother, smiling. "Why, I became a Spirit! Now I can freely move everywhere near you and I have these cool powers!", she said. Giovanni scratched his head again as he tried to figure a reason for that. "OK, so you're a Spirit and now you can follow me. Fine, I got that. But, why would you want to follow me? I mean I'm your brother and I know that, but...", he said. Rafaella smiled once again. "I cam to make a contract with you!!", she said.

Keiji was the follow.

Keiji was a good boy.

Keiji wanted food too.
Despite wanting nothing more than to make another Danny Phantom reference in his head, Yamato simply substituted an open-mouth expression as he gazed at the sudden change in scenery. One moment, he was down on the ground, and the next, he was all the way on the top of the skyscraper! What power! And now this power was his? This both frightened and delighted the young man.

"Wowee... I don't even know what to say.... First fluffy tails and now this? What more does a man need in his life?" he replied as he looked down upon the city, spotting a few people. They looked no bigger than ants from this height, and needless to say, nobody could jump this far up. They'd obviously teleported. Since he was given this power, then he should be able to teleport too....

...right?

"Here, my turn."

Yamato activated his abilities with the knowledge on how to use it. But he did not yet have the experience. His power caused him to disappear from the rooftop of the skyscraper, and reappear about halfway down said building, in the air. Gravity did what it does best and caused him to begin descending at a fast pace.

"SHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHITSHIT!!!"

Perhaps some could hear the cries of the man as he approached the cement at a deadly pace. Yamato managed to pull his thoughts together and realized he needed to think, or else he would die.

"SHIT
SHIT
SHIT
SHIT
SHIT
SHIT
SHIT
SHIT"

So, for about ten or so floors, he continued to repeat a vulgarity before finally deducing that he should make use of his power again before he flatted himself via the floor beneath him.

He again activated his power.

*CRASH*
*THUMP, THUMP, THUMP*
*CLANK*
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOM

Yamato had successfully teleported once more, only he also succeeded in throwing himself through one of the windows of the skyscraper. He tumbled and tumbled through the office he suddenly found himself in, destroying a desk or two as well as eventually coming to a quick stop thanks to a well-placed wall that, although receiving a huge hole in it, managed to strike back by sending a very sharp pain through the entirety of the man's body. Luckily, however, there was nobody else here, or he might've been responsible for a casualty.

The young man failed to show any signs of movement immediately.

Giovanni looked at Rafaella, almost not believing her at all. It all seemed stupidity as she simply told about the contract. "Wait, wait, wait...! A contract?! With me?! What for?!", he said. She kept floating around him as she looked and started to explain. "Big Bro, this world needs help! There are these demons roaming around every single spot, causing chaos and turmoil as they kill more and more people! The humanity needs salvation! It needs you!!", she pleaded, holding his hands. Giovanni was still not believing her at all. It all seemed like if it was some playing act.

"As long as I really want to believe you, how am I supposed to do that?", he said. Rafaella sighed hard. "Do a contract with me, duh!! Then you'll receive my powers and will be able to fight them!", she said. Giovanni looked once again at his sister, as she looked desperate for hearing his answer. "... Alright. I don't know how this will end, and I'm sure it won't end well... but I'm risking it. Rafaella, I'm doing a contract with you.", he said.

Rafaella swirled around him once again as a light enveloped Giovanni. A single chain of light flowed between his heart and her heart. A small burst of light in a finger of his right hand showed a ring. Once everything was over, Giovanni could feel some powers flowing inside of him. He flinched a bit and fell on his knees as the flow stopped. "The contract has been estabilished. Now, from the rest of your life, I shall be there to aid you, Master.", she said.
