Well If I remember correctly from your last post, similar things have happened at the Broklyn area with people phasing in and out, maybe you guys split up to look around and help out others in need, in that chaos you all get separated be from the phasing to villain troublemakers or the MRD turning up and against what your heart may want/desire to do, In your mind you know your best hope and bet is to head back to the mansion and find the other holed up there, Of course you would discover they not faired much better.
