I was assaulted by a pigeon today, though I blame the stupid tourist who was tossing bits of his lunch to the aggressive birds down by the wharfs in Boston. I had to duck and contort to stay out of the way of that damn thing as it dove down.

Did you have the satisfaction of killing the assaulter? I was not able to kill either the pigeon or the tourist and had to soothe myself with a Latte.

Hahaha yes, I killed him. That's actually how the attack happened. It landed on my elbow (in my dark room), and not thinking, I crushed it against my ribs. It responded by stinging me in its death throes.

And Lillian, I'm sorry. If it helps, the tourist will be easier to kill than the pigeon. Pigeons are wily. Tourists are vapid and don't pay attention.

You could always arrange for him to slip into the wharf...

I thought about that, but we were perilously close to the Tea Party museum and more of his ilk were gleefully tossing fake boxes of Tea into the harbor and his body might have gotten stuck on the ropes. I'm just fortunate it wasn't in Boston Commons because the Squirrels there are pure evil. They will happily run up your damn legs to snatch things from your hands if they covet it enough. Though in that case they do favor tourists and one often gets free entertainment watching the scene unfold.

How is the sting? Did he get you just the once?

Lillian - I've seen both the original Storyteller (and have the DVD and book), and the Greek. I did not like the Greek nearly as much. My favorite is still "The Soldier and Death".

I have both as well as the book and I agree with you about the superiority of the original. Sapsorrow is my favorite. But the Greek-Myth Geek in me still gets shivers when I hear Ariadne curse Theseus

Thanks Kuro and Lil! The tests we take are all online, and multiple choice in the format of the NCLEX, so it's a lot easier for a computer-generated result when it's just "right or wrong," and spit it out at us is all. But... Your nightmare class still makes ME shudder, hope you hear back really soon. I don't doubt you did fantastic (you always do!) but still... The waiting... :P

Oh nice! In my class getting the answer correct doesn't seem to be enough to get it marked correct. It was a mercurial process hedging on the teacher's current lucidity and something about barometric pressure, or so it seemed. The final grade means I'll be able to let the nightmare go at last, unless of course it screws with my GPA then I get to go and argue with the dean some. Fun times!
