Just put in a small holdover so RR can get Big Bill in. I don't plan to stand on any rigid posting order - as far as I'm concerned, if someone wants to call "dibs" just say so, and all good. And if anyone wants to get some small conversation before the briefing starts, sounds good to me!

Hey, I used to eat MREs and trail food prepared by 13 and 14 year old Boy Scouts. Coffee grounds in cold egg noodles would be nothing compared to some of those dinners. I remember the morning having to *drink* my pancakes...

Hahaha Oh God, MREs... Most of them were pretty good, but there was this one... Igraine, you and your husband probably remember it.

"Cheese And Veggie Omelet". It was equal parts pain and sawdust, haphazardly mixed and thrown into a bag, to sit in another bag, that was put in a box and then stored on a shelf for interminable years until some poor yahoo had to try and choke it down. I've eaten it hot, cold, room temperature, and with every conceivable mix of Tobasco, Sriracha, and MRE Cheese Spread available.

None of it helped. It was like an edible holocaust, and is proof that life is nothing more than the whim of a cruel and sadistic god.

Oh wow. That looks... I'm not even going to go there. I think your description says it all! (Shudders). Although to this day the words "beef stroganoff" still make me queasy.

Hahaha it was terrible. If you look closely at the picture, you can see it glistening. That's the oil that it somehow managed to leak. Egg products should NEVER leak, but this one managed to. If not for the generosity of my fellow Marines (and the fact that a Marine in the field will trade just about any portion of his MRE for the M&Ms and poptart thoughtfully included in the Omelet meal), I'd have gone hungry many nights.
