Nonono. Weapons are very different. From these ooc comments it sounds like a sword became a bokken basically. Even if the weight is perfectly the same, it's different in use. It's like... swinging a hammer with the hammering part forward compared to swinging the part used to remove nails. If you're a layman, you won't notice much difference if any, but to someone trained, or used to it, it's a huge difference.

If the weight distribution is equal, the only difference is air resistance.

Believe me, that makes a world of a difference. I've actually trained with Swords a little bit, and when you compare that to something like a baseball bat, it isn't the same. The techniques are screwed.
