A what?
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>
It's the wooden or plastic sword used to train.
Anyways, this just wouldn't work. I'll have Shinji take the dull blade genos gave him and run with it.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
I'm not referring to that, but whatever you say.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>
I'm sorry man, but when you try to compare Swords to blunt weapons, there's so much difference that it would take hours to calculate.
You gotta think about the training, that's the most part. Anyone can swing a hammer, but do they have the skill to properly use it, that is what I'm getting at.
Normally I wouldn't make such a big deal about it, but it just bothers me when someone trys this.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
You're ignoring my point. I recognize that they're two different weapons, but I'm strictly speaking science.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>
But there is much more than just science that goes into it. I understand your point, but science is only one part of the metaphorical equation.

<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
Science is everything. Referring to science, if the weight distribution is the same and we factor out wind resistance, you literally wouldn't be able to tell the difference.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>
Oh....sorry.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>
But then it would still be a cutting utencil. It wouldn't do much blunt damage if at all. You would have to sharpen it to keep the weight balance, all the measurements would be the same, your just making a sword out of a different material.
<Snipped quote by Extra>
Nothing to be sorry about.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
No you don't. The shape could be entirely different and it would still have the same weight.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>
It wouldn't be weighted the same then. The weight would be in different places. Trust me. It would be different, eve if just slightly.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
That's not how weight distribution works. It can be a different shape and the weight feels the same.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>
This is just going to keep going. I'm stopping it right here.
Anyways, sup.
<Snipped quote by souleaterfan320>
but
but
he literally just told you a fact
you can't really continue the conversation further
I mean, I understand what you're getting at; I've written and read about how swords and weaponry works. You're just thinking of the wrong things in your statements.
<Snipped quote by Webmaster>
No, it really isn't. Air resistance is a factor, but the materials and small details make a large difference.
