Core was sleeping on her desk, she had just sent out a letter to everyone that had survived the kidnapping and hoped that they would join SHIRO.

THE LETTER
Dear ((insert name here)),
This is Core Slayer. You should remember me from the kidnapping. Well, after returning to my job as police detective I came up with an idea. And so I created SQUAD 00, or as I like to call it, SHIRO. Oh, and the SHIRO means white in Japanese, and I thought that since we survived that white room, I should name the squad after it. So, to get to the point I am inviting you to join SHIRO.

Jeffery woke up in his new apartment since he was 18 now, he had on a white undershirt and black shorts that he slept in and matched the color scheme of his normal attire. He didn't have his demon tail hidden but it was his house so he didn't really care,, and then he saw the letter at his door. It was addressed from Core, he hadn't seen her since the kidnapping, "well what do you want now?" He read over the letter and smiled, " now that's what I like to hear," he got dressed in his white hoodie and black dress pants, hid his demon tail, and headed out to where Core was at.

Sonja sipped at his cappuccino as he sorted through his mail. It had become a bit of a habit to have the two together in the afternoon, though he didn't really remember his reasoning in the first place. Either way, it was best to take advantage of the momentary peace while his flat mates were out, so here he was.

Since the kidnapping incident a while back, Sonja had taken a while to adjust back to daily life. Even now, he would sometimes still dream of the scenes he had encountered there with the others, though it wasn't nearly as bad as it used to be. Having finally returned home to Berlin, he thought that he might have just left it all behind.
...until he saw the letter.

Core? I haven't heard from her in a while...I wonder how she is doing... As he read the letter, he couldn't help but feel surprised at what she was asking. W-what exactly is she requesting here? Are we joining the police force?

Once Core woke up, she got changed into her work outfit. Well, I say work outfit, but it's really just a pair of cargo pants, combat boots, and a tank top. Core then walked over to the Police Station. She headed to the office where SHIRO would work.

Calamity waited inside her next victim's closet until nightfall, by then the child she was hunting, was fast asleep without a care in the world. Calamity emerged from the shadows, her claws and fangs extending, she prepared to pounce on her victim. She licked her lips at the thoughts of her young prey. She loved it when they squealed... but something caught her eye. A letter had been stuffed under the closet door, sliding out in front of her when Calamity opened the door.
She noticed the letter had her name on it and... Core's? Ah yes, the one that got away... Still deciding to eat her or hug her...
Calamity silently ripped the letter open, reading through it more than once before she thought out loud, in a whisper. "How the fuck did Core know where I was?" She ignored that thought, still wanting to kill and devour the bastard who managed to catch the Boogeywoman herself. "Well, kid..." She said, waking up the child she was stalking, scaring the bejeezus out of it with her raspy voice and inhuman features. "...I'm going to let you live... for now." Calamity smiled, escaping out the window as the child screamed for it's parents.

Core sat on her revolving chair in the Squad 00 office. She was pretty sure that at least one of them would be freaked out or confused in how she had gotten their addresses. But, Core had her ways. Being an artificial human, meant that Core was important, and that meant that Core had a lot of authority. So Core'ssurveilance system was the best and judging by when the letters should have arrived Core assumed that at least one should be arriving relatively soon.

Calamity came from the shadow in the corner, her pale lifeless faced was confused as Hell.
"Two questions," Calamity said, getting to the point. "First, how the Hell did you find me? What's hidden in the shadows should not be looked for."
She points her long boney finger at the detective. "Second, Why do you think it's wise to have a Boggart on your squad? I eat children for goodness sakes!" Her raspy voice raised as her pointy mouth nearly split her head in two.

"Two answers," Core said, answering Calamity," First, I have authority only outclassed by the President, Vice-President and a few scientist who created me. So I can ask for anything and I will get it. So, please don't underestimate my surveillance system," She stuck her tung out at Calamity, mimicking her. "Second, Why wouldn't I think that it's wise to have a Boggart on my squad. You eat children for goodness sake! Oh, and I was pretty sure that one, you're shadow traveling would come in handy, and two, I am positive you want to eat the mastermind behind our kidnapping," Core finished. She put her feet on her desk, and kicked back.

Jeffery walked into the police station trying to find Core he began to search and eventually found the Squad 00 office. He walked in and saw Core and Calamity talking, two people he hadn't seen in a while, and decided to join in the conversation, "so what can the son of a demon do for you today?" He asked in an almost smug voice, he wasn't very proud of his heritage but didn't mind the powers.

"Welcome to office SHIRO, Jeffery and Calamity. You are both part of the police force now. And, Calamity, you can still eat children. Well, SHIRO is meant to capture the mastermind behind our kidnapping. Oh, and you all get ranks now, you guys will start of as Deputies, but you can get promoted. Oh and FYI, my actually rank is Police Commissioner/Sheriff. Though there is the man in charge, technically he is one rank below me but he is still in charge as he is older than i am," Core told Jeffery and Calamity.

"Of course I'm going to children, what else could I eat." Calamity stated what she thought was obvious. "What do I care for ranks anyway?"

"Calamity, ranks allow for authority. The higher your rank, the more people you can boss around," Core said letting out a maniacle laugh.

Lynnie awoke in a heap of blankets on her outside porch swing. Her mom had never come home last night and was probably off on another one of her drunk adventures. Well, whatever. She didn't want to take care of her one night stand love child? That was her fault, not Lynnie's. She folded up the blanket and walked in the house, making some coffee while she went to go get dressed. She checked the time. 11:02. She hurried up the steps and into her bedroom, throwing on her clothes. She ran outside to check her mail. She brought it in and opened a letter adressed to herself and started drinking her coffee.

"So we have a rank now? Oh hey, do we get a badge too?" Jeffery kind of wanted a badge since he thought it would be cool, "also if we're hunting someone down, I'm going to need to stop by my apartment and grab my sword."

"Yes, Jeffery you get a badge. And a complimentary set of sunglasses just for looking away from explosions," Core told him, handing him and Calamity police badges along with complimentary sunglasses. They were only getting sunglasses because Core was in charge and she believed that cool people don't look at explosions.
"And you don't need to get your sword yet. We don't have everyone here yet," she added.

She read the letter. It was from Core. One of the people who she was in the white room with. She smiled to herself as she hit the end of the letter and threw her coffee into the sink. She ran outside and threw her body onto her black bicycle and peddled to where Core said to go. She ran to the door, it was shut. She knocked hard on the door, out of breath.

"Badges? We don't need no stinking badges!" Calamity faked a Hispanic accent, looking to the door as she heard a knock. She disappeared into the shadows siting to see who it was at the door.

Core oppened the door. She saw Lynnie and let her in.

"Hello Core." She bowed her head to the girl. "Who all else has shown up?"

Calamity poked her head from the shadow in the wall. "Just us three, so for. Good to see you Lyn."
