Good afternoon everyone,
I understand that my absence has been quite extensive in the past few weeks, and for that I apologize greatly to you all; I hope you can forgive me. The last month or so has been quite a time for me but I give my word that I will be doing my best to ensure that I am there for each and every roleplay I run as well as the wonderful roleplayers who continue to make my heart soar by joining. I do hope that you are all doing well considering that the busiest time of the year has now fallen down upon us all. Christmas is here, my the year has flown by. I hope that with the closing of this year, and the opening of yet another, brings you all peace, health and happiness!
Today, however, it brings me sadness to announce that I will be closing Camp Half-Blood from this moment onward. I understand that people get busy, I myself being one of those people; however my decision to close the Camp is not just due to lack of numbers, but also stemming from the lack of interest in this particular roleplay. Being a big Percy Jackson/ Rick Riordan fan, as well as being a Greek Mythology buff, know that this like many other fandoms is not everyone's cup of tea. In any case I am not afraid to say that together we tried; I am so thankful to all those who showed interest and participated in the roleplay up to this point, you guys make being a GM worth while! I consider each and every one of you my family and wish the best of luck to each and every one of you. To quote one of my favored Gods from Sea Of Monsters:
“My dear young cousin, if there's one thing I've learned over the eons, it's that you can't give up on your family, no matter how tempting they make it. It doesn't matter if they hate you, or embarrass you, or simply don't appreciate your genius for inventing the Internet-... Families are messy. Immortal families are eternally messy. Sometimes the best we can do is to remind each other that we're related for better or for worse...and try to keep the maiming and killing to a minimum.” Hermes ~ Percy Jackson; Sea Of Monsters.
Remember guys... It doesn't matter where we are, or what we do in the future... We will always be a family...
I am going to continue running Aulani Academy for all those who were awesome enough to join and support me in both of my roleplays; I will be stepping up my game, and together as a small group, we will forge on against the many obstacles that both myself and my amazing Co-GM have in store for our young daemon hunters. As everyone is aware there is an old saying which goes: "When one door closes, another opens". Now while I myself have have not had a very good experience in life when it comes to this saying, I believe is still to be true. Which is why I have decided to open up a new roleplay; it is slightly different to what I would usually host, so I can only hope to try my best and to do it justice. Inspired by the television series 'Once Upon A Time', myths/legends and fairy tales known around the world, the joyous wonders of Disney, Pixar, and Dreamworks, and a roleplay an old friend of mine used to run; this roleplay follows the path of royals, rebels and villains alike as the stories we thought we knew come to life and get cut short leaving evil to rule the land until the heros once lost return to take their place on the thrones and once more take back the kingdoms rightfully theirs.
If you are interested in having a deeper look into this new idea, please PM me and I will give you the details.
Before I wrap up my long rambling speech of sorts, I would just like to personally thank my wonderful Co-GM, Marx for all his hard work; without you honey, I don't know how many times I would have been lost and unable to find my way back. You helped me with so much, both in and out of the roleplay, and I am being completely honest with you when I say that your friendship means the world to me. You are absolutely amazing, and I am so honored to have you working with me on both my roleplays; Aulani, and my new one.
I love you all so much, and hope that we can all continue to be great friends and a happy family; even those of you who do not choose to continue to roleplay with me. It has been an honor to meet you all, and a pleasure to roleplay with you. I wish you all a Merry Christmas, and a wonderful New Years everybody! May all your wishes come true!
Love,
Vicier~ xoxo
