Vee

Generally, Vera didn't care for crowded spaces, particularly on the boat packed with excited and anxious students, new and returning. It was overwhelming being turned into a human cocktail of conflicting emotions, but once they landed, she excused herself for a walk around campus to unwind from the exhausting two hour trip. Vee was never one for the unavoidable heat of the island, but the humid discomfort was a familiar, if not welcoming sensation under her clothes as she wandered. Her home away from home. Still, she rolled up the sleeves of her zip-up jacket and carried on along the various paths through the campus.

Eventually, she ended up back where she started somewhere in the middle of campus. Vera kept an eye out for all the new faces, suspecting she might be needing to hand out some directions or answer some questions. She remembered her first day being a horror show with the lack of control over her abilities, the heat, and her awful sense of direction. Since then, she made it her mission to help out in whatever way she could.

Then her eyes landed on some Greaser guy throwing off his jacket and lighting up a cigarette. A single eyebrow lifted under the sweep of her blue bangs. Alright, bad boy. He was probably around her age, so she may as well introduce herself. Out of respect, she closed her mind and shut out the noise of outside feelings as much as she could as she approached him.

Realizing she was coming out of his peripheral, she spoke up a respectful distance away. "Hey." As she closed the space between them, she noticed his Bad Company shirt. At least he had taste in music. The logo of her Ramones t-shirt was slapped on her flat chest between the open zipper of her jacket. "You're new?" It was a statement as well as a question; Just because she didn't recognize him didn't mean that he wasn't a returned. Though, she doubted she would have forgotten him, if that were the case.

Ethan Parker Jr.

Ethan couldn't find Vee on the boat. That shouldn't have been as distressing as it was being that she was probably intentionally isolating herself from everyone- crowds and all- but without that particular familiar face keeping him company on the long boat ride, he found himself alone and awkward on the deck. Thankfully, he brought a book so he had something to read while he sat under the sun for two hours, anxiously glancing up at every person that walked by him.

As soon as he got off the boat, he accidentally got sucked into the current of new students walking to the assembly. Honestly, he forgot where he was going and following the group seemed like a good idea at first, but by the time he realized where they were going, it was too late for him to escape. By his standards, anyway. So, he sat through the speech and rules for a second time. He convinced himself it was a good thing he came to refresh his memory of the rules and regulations of school. Curfew, no smoking, no sex... Right. He could do that. No problem.

After the assembly, Ethan started for the Administration building to find out what his living situation was looking like, but, finally, he saw someone he recognized. Morrison was standing off to the side, which he was going to take as an invitation to go up and say hi, but it took him a good moment of hovering out of appropriate speaking distance of him, making up his mind on what to say, before finally walking up to him.

"Hi, um, Mor-Morrison? It's nice to see you..." It hit him then he didn't even know if Morrison knew who he was. It was too late to back down now. "-again. How was your, uh, your summer?" He forced a smile that quickly wilted away when he realized that Morrison wouldn't see it, but then came back again because even if he didn't see it, it would be rude to not to smile at someone while he was speaking to them.

Morrison, as per usual, had been paying attention to most of the students moving about the lobby and he always found some interesting conversation to listen to even if he only caught some of it as the speakers moved about. It had taken a moment to notice some rather familiar footsteps among the others which stayed just out of reach. There were only a couple people he knew to do such a thing even with him being as welcoming as he was but Ethan's footstep's were unmistakable and once he recognized his presence he couldn't help but give a smile. When the nervy guy managed to make his way over the Cajun almost felt a bit bad at how his awkwardness seemed to make him doubt himself.

"Ethan! I thought you were somewhere around here, Mon ami." Morrison said with genuine warmth, his Cajun/Louisianan accent heavy as ever, hoping to take the edge off of Ethan's nerves even for just a moment. "As for Summer its been good overall, very hard to complain with a vacation to go back home for awhile. Enough with my same old vacation though, anything going on with yourself lately?"

The Cajun was always more interested in what was going on with acquaintances and friends then he was in his own side of things, but to those who knew him it was nothing new. That and he had something of a vested interest in boosting Ethan's confidence bit by bit when he could because sometimes the guy needed it once in awhile. Something that surprised Morrison was the lack of his friend's near constant companion but he could imagine there might be reasons for it, it was a busy day after all. This was a good start to the day beyond getting to the island and eating he got to meet up with an old buddy who looked like he wanted the company as much as Morrison was wanting to talk.

Nikki Biyung, & Amanda Daisy Blackmore.

Amanda absentmindedly shrugged at Red's quiet request. Well it looks like some people need a sense of humor, but whatever. "Sure, whatever." She shrugged, speaking out loud, putting a hand on her hip. Whatever floats Red's boat, but the guy wasn't going to stop Amanda's fun.

Nikki was a little skeptical when Red whispered something in Amanda's ear, causing her to be quiet. Nikki could guess that he asked her something. Either way, it made Amanda stop, lest she wanted to make a bad first impression. This girl was pretty young, actually, but not too young. Nikki had to guess that she was a few years younger than herself, in the 13's range. Hm. Well, now that Nikki looked, Poppy does look a little silly - But she wasn't going to condone the insensitivity of her older cousin.

Red decided to introduce the pair, even though Nikki had already introduced herself. The girl was named Poppy...? Okay, that was a pretty uncommon name, and sounded rather silly for a name. But Nikki kept her mouth shut. "Nice to meet you, Poppy." She spoke in a kind tone.

"Sup, lil' bit." Amanda put her arms behind her head, smiling at Poppy. "That's a weird name, you know?"

When Red suggested that they get room mates, Nikki shrugged. Well, she did see it coming, but she was hoping that her roomie wouldn't mind all the bugs. "Sure, let's go." Nikki remembered that they got the speech in the administration building. Using a little bit of bugs, she lead everyone there. Like she knew this school like the back of her hand. They all stepped into the Administration building, it was starting to get a little busy, since everyone was getting their rooms. Nikki and Amanda walked up to the front desk.

"I hope they didn't pair me with any weirdos this year." Amanda blew a puff of air from between her lips. She leaned on the front desk, looking the African-American desk worker in the eyes. "Sugar-lips, mind giving me my roomie?" The secretary gave her a note and the keys. Amanda put the key down and tore the note open. It was like playing the lottery. It was just as likely for her to win, and get someone actually sane, as her failing hilariously and getting a retarded room mate.... "Vera Dubnin?" She asked herself. She heard of Vera, but she never actually talked to her. Well, they're going to be doing plenty of that.

Nikki then got her key, and unlike Amanda, she wasn't caring too much about who she got as a room mate, more of the fact that she has a room mate. "Hey, what gives? I have no room mate?" This was a something that Nikki thought she'd say.

"Sorry, but we're still working. Sometimes we just have an uneven number of students, and we can't fill every room, every year. Sometimes we'll get late arrivals, or someone might switch rooms, so you will not be alone the entire room."

"Well..." Nikki looked down at her feet, "... Okay." She shrugged. Well, maybe it wouldn't be so bad. She'd be able to do the things that she could do at home. Like make a massive bee hive. Actually, no. Making that in the middle of a school is a recipe for disaster.

"Well, I'm going to chill here for a little bit. Maybe I'll spot my room mate."

Jake Vin, & Gabriela Mya Valos.

Before long, the Valos walked straight into the Administration Building, they waded through the crowds of people and quickly made it to the front desk. Each of them got their room mates, starting from Gabe, and ending with Jaska.

Gabe carefully examined her note, trying to figure out where she has heard that name before. Cordelia Holmes...? She thought about it. Cataloging through the wide variety of weirdos that she met so far. Then the realization hit her like a truck. "Aw, fuck!" She hissed through her teeth.

"Watch your language, Gabe..." Jake rolled his eyes, hating that he has to constantly remind her not to curse around their single-digit-age brother.

"Oh, sorry." Gabe leaned in forward, quietly whispering, "Aw, fuck."

"What is it?" Jake asked, rolling his eyes yet again.

"I'm being paired with the street rat that was at our table." Gabe replies, in a less than pleased tone. "Out of all the people I would rather share a room with, I gotta' share my shit with her." She hissed, rolling her only eye. "Who'd you get?" Gabe asked Jake.

Well, Jake looked at his note, and it was Jared Winston. Hm? He heard the last name, it . Well, either Red is a nickname for Jared, or Red has a brother. "I think it's Red." At the corner of his eye, he saw Cordelia and Alex. "And there's your new best friend." Jake sarcastically said, as pointed at Lynn and Alex. He got a light elbow from Gabe.

"Oh shut up, you got your perfect boyfriend to share a room with, I get a dirty street rat." Gabe taunted back. Getting playfully pushed by Jake. "What, what? It's true."

Jake merely rolled his eyes, "Well, I would try to make nice with her. Whether or not she looks shady as I don't know what; it'd be easier for everyone if you did that."

"Whatever." Gabe said. Well, she was going to take Jake's advice and hope it works. If not then, Gabe will get another room with someone that's actually worth a damn. She walked away from them, and towards her new room mate.

"You play nice now." Jake said with a sarcastic smile, waving at her (using only his fingers). He was going to wait for Red to ask him, before moving on.

What the hell am I doing...? Gabe asked herself as she matched. I don't want anything to do with the street-rat or the Little Miss Nightlight. All I have to do is go bitch at the front desk lady, and wave some money around, and boom! New... Gabe was so caught up in her own thoughts that she hadn't realize that she was standing before them. Oh, god, shit's gonna be awkward. "Hey..." She said to Cordelia, "I guess we're gon' be room mates..." It's always like the universe was bent on fucking me.

And I don't like diiiicks.

Dana Lucile Alcott, & Theresa Sindel Obott.

Wait? It took Dana a few seconds to realize that this was the Christoper Fox everyone was talking about. There were stories... Dana wasn't the one being told them, she was kinda spying on other people when they talked about it. The man who accidentally killed people before fleeing into the forest. Never to be seen again. But, the torment this man must have gone through... Something that Dana couldn't have imagined for herself, honestly. Thank God her power wasn't destructive as the others (But at the same time, just as deadly). "I... Heard of such an incident, but I never thought I'd see the man behind it...." She trailed off, feeling like she's being over dramatic.

Theresa hadn't heard of the stories that took place decades ago, due to not really having too many connections, and the fact that she's a loner. So this new development caused a few questions. Sure it was an accident, and Theresa had a fair share of her own (Stuff she doesn't like talking about). But - Shouldn't Christoper get arrested, or contained at least? People died, and their families probably want answers. And where did he go? He probably never even left the island! However, Theresa knew her place and kept her jaws clenched shut.

They let the conversation between Chris and Henry go on.

Henry described something they kinda already knew. They have been coming here for years (Hell, Dana was coming here for three-forths of a decade). Yes, Theresa was younger than everyone else here, and last year, she was paired with a thirteen year old boy. And that, for someone's who's a little more on the teenaged side, was simply atrocious. Thankfully, Theresa managed to actually get assigned to the female dorm this year, which was quite the struggle - The school saw that since Theresa is biologically male, that she should be placed with the rest of the males. Now, it'll hopefully lead to less awkward moments. "Sure." Theresa said. She was thankful that Henry was going to cart Dana for once. She does that all the time.

"I'm fine with that." Dana could always cart herself around, but it was always more convenient to get someone else to do it.

Valjean Vaseal.

It was a mighty feast, reigning in yet another excellent school year.

He wanted to see who the fresh meat was this year, and how he can show them who's the top dog in the arena. Every year, new people came in acting like they're the shit. And what happened? Valjean showed them what the Desert Scorpion was like. Last year he gave a kid such a beating that he never came back. School life, and other things were irrelevant. He passed, and that was all he was aiming for. How will all this science-y crap help him in life?

Either way, he spent his time in the cafeteria talking to some friends and other groupies, eating food. He was chatting everyone up - But he didn't really try to get with any of the girls. Though, as time went on, everyone started leaving. Either they were going to get their rooms, or were just going their separate ways. Which meant that Valjean had to be the killing joke, and leave. He walked through the cafeteria, giving everyone a look or two. Amanda and some Asian she never seen before were talking to some monkey in a suit, and some red haired girl - Boring. There was Vespera, being Vespera - But Valjean had no interest in that creepy bastard, they've already had their fair share of Arena fights. Ultimately, his gaze landed on a trio; his girlfriend Deborah, that redhaired bitch Shannon, and some other pale. He would go over there, but he wasn't in the mood for dealing with Shannon. So he would talk to Deborah later.

He walked outside, opening the doors triumphantly with both hands. He spotted a new kid, definitely new, Valjean could tell by the way he handled himself. He looked real trashy, like a personified greaser - Laaaame. Valjean would have been fine letting the kid defile the ground he stood on, but some chick matched her way over towards him and started talking. Oooooh no! This shit ain't gonna go down in his school. He looked down, and saw that he was wearing a denim jacket, along with tan-cargo pants, he had a chain that dangled around his neck. He walked up to them, and immediately spoke to Vera, "Heh, babe, you're better off finding someone else to talk to." Well, if he wasn't dating Deborah, he would totally be that person. Valjean continued, "Can't you tell who needs to stay in the background and who doesn't?"

His goal was ultimately to incite a fight with the boy.

Red Winston

Red followed Nikki and Amanda, content that the latter listened to his plead and got serious for once. In the end, Amanda proved to be more okay than Red though at first. Maybe his previous misfortunes, caused by his own arrogance made him a little too strict with others. He took a note to himself to apologize to Amanda later.

The Administration building was steadily crowding with people, who have either found their rooms, or were still waiting for their own turn. Once again, tons of useless info gathered at Red's head, making him sick. He once again cursed inside his head, his hatred for crowd burning anew. With all the chatter, he didn't notice the Valos family inside the room. Actually, he didn't notice anyone at all. He was entirely focused on storing the gibberish he was hearing into his thrash can rooms. That was the main reason that he didn't greet a single familiar face and rushed to the reception.

"Jared Winston, first year. I would like to know my room and roommate please."

The receptionist gave him a key and a note, with his roommate's name apparently written inside. He was hoping that he could share the room with Nikki, whom he knew better that anyone else around, but didn't know that the Academy, or any academy, permitted sharing a room with a person of the opposite gender. However, the name in the note was equally satisfying to Red, too.

"Jake Valos. If my memory is right and it is always, it's the eldest of the Latin-American family, the ones I first talked to since coming here. Isn't the world a small place?"

Red was finally concerned of his surroundings, trying to spot Jake between some other faces, familiar and not. He finally spotted him, along with the rest of the Valos family, also witnessing a sight he wouldn't expect. Gabe was apparently heading to the fellow smoker he was sitting with in the Cafeteria.

"Reclutant, her stride not normal. She is pressing her palms with the fingers and her gaze is indifferent. If I had to guess, she is sharing a room with the little hoodie over there and is going to speak to her. Jake is looking at her too, so he should be the one encouraging her to do so. Well, I guess I should go over there and enjoy the upcoming humorous scene with my new roommate."

Red went to where Jake was, his hand extending.

"I smoke and I can be awake for many hours during the night. Also, you may find me standing motionless from minutes to hours, don't freak out. I figured that since we will be roommates, you should know my bad habits! But whatever the case, it is a pleasure that I get to share a room with you, Jake!"

Christopher Fox

Chris proccessed what Henry said, while eating his favorite french fries, which he spiced with mayonnaise. He was troubled with Henry's response about his possible roommate. He didn't tell him yet that he couldn't properly use his powers, so Henry should have in mind that he should be at his full potential. Yet Henry asked him to tell him if he had trouble with this guy, Valjean. Considering that, once, he and Henry were on par, the fact that Henry would say something like this could only mean one thing: This guy is strong and most probably dangerous.

Chris didn't want to mingle with someone dangerous from the start, not because he was afraid, but because it could cause trouble. Of course, he wouldn't even consider calling Henry if something happened. He wouldn't dare involving his dearest friend in his own mess. So, he just decided to meet Valjean himself and deal with him when the time came. After all, he was confident that he could take care of himself, even with his missing arm. Of course, he needed to solve the two major problems he had: His power limitations and his pitiful body condition. He would be happy to improve both this year, but that was optimistic thinking. That's when Valjean slammed the Cafeteria doors open and headed out. For a fact, his age seemed to match Chris' which made him wonder if the douchebag that just left was indeed Valjean. He would ask Henry, but decided not to open a conversation about it and find out after finishing his food.

He finished his food and wiped his mouth with a handkerchief. He wished he could eat some steak too, but it would require him cutting it and that was impossible with his arm missing. Asking someone else to do so would be shameful, so he had to cope with not eating steak. Chris turned to Henry and said:

"I'm following your lead. By the way..." he paused and pressed Henry's nose, a habit he had from when they were kids, then continued "...since when did I let you worry about me? I can take care of myself from any Val-what-kind-of-name-is-that-anyway-jean. You worry about me returning to the Arena and handing it to you." he joked and stood from his chair.

Sam

Sam began to size the girl up as soon as she approached. Her hair looked like she dropped a bucket of melted crayons on it, but besides that she looked relatively nice (as in personality, not attractiveness). He nodded kindly to her as she approached, and blew a puff of smoke in her opposite direction, not wanting to be rude. She seemed to be a returning student, as she asked him if he was new.

"Fresh off the boat." he said, taking the cigarette out of his mouth to speak "Name's Sam. You smoke?" He moved to pull the box of cigarettes out of his pocket to offer her one when he was interrupted by that big kid in the denim jacket he saw in the auditorium.

Valjean said "Heh, babe, you're better off finding someone else to talk to." Well, if he wasn't dating Deborah, he would totally be that person. Valjean continued, "Can't you tell who needs to stay in the background and who doesn't?"

Sam's fists clenched, and he bent the cigarette in his left hand. This big fucker had absolutely no idea how things worked; perhaps it was Sam's job to teach him. Sam closed his eyes and let out a long sigh, as if Valjean's presence was nothing but an annoyance, like a spider crawling across the kitchen floor, asking to be stomped on. Sam opened his eyes and sat his jacket on the ground next to the palm tree so that it wouldn't get blood on it.

"I'm sorry," he said "But what the fuck did you just say to me?" he took a step or two between Vera and Jean in an almost defensive sort of way. Despite his rugged life and jerkish demeanor, Sam wasn't going to have a girl get hurt because some jackass dressed up like a gravedigger thought he was gonna flex his muscles. Unintimidated, he stuck his cigarette in the corner of his mouth to hold it and clenched both of this fists, ready to react to the slightest flinch of Jean's biceps.

Poppy

Who was that? Carrot-top most likely meant her. Poppy wheeled to face the new comers. She glared up at Amanda. "You don't even have the decency to address me, my na-" she started indignantly. When Amanda got double teamed first by Nikki with her elbow, then verbally by Red anything she'd have to say would be redundant so she stopped mid sentence. Ooh, what's he saying to her now? There certainly a reason he didn't say it aloud.

So this was Nikki. Were it not for the name she might have guessed she was a boy. Well she seems nice enough. Red did the favor of introducing them, but she wanted to speak up a little herself. "It's very nice to meet you! Are you new here too?" Now that she'd met some people that she felt mostly comfortable with she could begin to think about things more on the bright side. I wonder what classes going to be like. Hopefully they have regular curriculum because I have no idea what else they expect me to do. And hopefully the don't have PE... She imagined lizard man in a ref outfit blowing a whistle. The thought made her giggle. Poppy promptly sealed her lips, she didn't want them to think it was directed at them. Well if Amanda thought she was laughing at her she wouldn't mind so much. Still she decided that she better reengage with the others.

The comment about her name being weird was mostly ignored. She heard it plenty of times from kids her own age at her last school.

Roomates? Poppy hadn't thought about that. Her private school had dorms, considering that the academy taught through college it made sense though. "That's a good idea" she said anxiously. I hope I have a good roommate... What exactly that looked like she didn't know yet.

"Theresa Obott" Huh, wonder what she's like. From the name alone she couldn't tell anything. If she was a returning student maybe Amanda knew as much as it pained her to ask. Just in case she addressed the other two as well. "Any of you guys know her?"

Vespera

So she speaks. Quite sensitive if I got under her skin so easily. There was the fleeting thought that her ability might be potent. Nothing she would spend any time worrying about. From her experience its the person that makes the threat, not to say that powers didn't make a difference. Because they certainly did.

Since she'd gotten up it looked like things had gotten interesting again. It's hard to believe Chris is still alive. They could catch up later, not that they were close or anything before. Valjean showed himself as well. If all else fails she could count on him to not to turn down a fight. Not the first person she wanted to throw down with since there was a very real possibility of him winning. Nothing was worse than going in to the new season with a loss in her opinion.

Considering the time she changed her mind about checking her room situation. The place was bound to be crawling with fresh meat like flashlight head and Chihuahua. Instead she decided to walk the main path until she crossed paths with somebody worth her while.

Not far up ahead she could hear Vera Asking if somebody was new. She was hoping she could do better. Then she heard Valjean join in. Now things were getting more interesting. Despite their differences Vespera couldn't deny certain similarities. Namely their powers and attitude. So wrapped around Deborah finger. All the more amusing because as far as I know the relationships a one way street. Because of his stubbornness Vespera got a kick out of making passes at him. In jest of course, but in all reality he was one of the only people she would consider hooking up with regardless of whether or not he felt remotely the same way.

Whoever the newcomer was he was playing right into Valjean's hands. Better not miss out. Vespera took her time and didn't make any effort to conceal her approach. Chances were that trio weren't paying that much attention anyways with all the testosterone in the air. She too her place off to the side of Vera and made a scolding sound with her tongue. "Tsk tsk." To Vera she said "Well aren't you popular."

Valjean Vaseal.

Valjean let out a very loud and haughty laugh, doing it in just the way to piss Sam off. Who did this kid honestly think he is? Step into here and he's already trying to carry himself like a badass? Really? This kid wasn't the first (nor the last) to get plowed. "Whaaaaaaaat?!" Valjean loudly and sarcastically said, putting his hand on the top of his head. "You no speaka da English? You heard what I said kid, unless you were meaning to walk into the school for the deaf - when you really meant to get into the school for the out of style nerds. Seriously, who dressed you up when you came here? Your dead grandpa?" He saw that Vespera had joined the mix, good. All the more reason to power up a bit. Because his power was so adjustable, he was easily capable of... Valjean balled his fists, slamming them together. What was different was that his fingers were covered in a rough, tan, exoskeleton that perfectly molded around his fingers. The rest of his arms and chest followed, molding a durable shell around him. Onlookers would notice that he's getting bigger. His clothes stretched and puffed. "So, kid, I suggest you mosey on, and go play with the rest of the unimportant kiddies. Otherwise," He let out a whistle, ruffing his hand through his hair, "Things might get ugly, and I'm not just talking about you, because, you don't have to worry about getting anymore ugly."

Nikki Biyung and Amanda Blackmore.

Red walked off to talk to Jake, his brand new room mate. Well, she shrugged and sighed. Wasn't unexpected that Red would leave her so fast. Especially with his red-haired friend. Hm? Apparently Poppy is curious about who her room mate is, even going as far to ask her. It was obviously directed at Amanda, but, "You know just as-"

Amanda instantly broke out in loud and exuberant laughter, tossing her head back and putting her hand over her eyes. "Oh god, that's rich." After she had stopped, she reverted to a more neutral position, shifting her weight to one hip, and putting her hand on that hip. She gave Poppy a toothy grin, "They actually let the tranny sleep with the girls now? You're about to be sharing a room with the school crossdresser, lil' bit-"

"Amanda!" Nikki hissed. She commanded a hornet (That was conveniently in the building the whole time, guys) to sting Amanda in the side of the neck. Getting her to screech in pain and immediately stop talking. Nikki closed her eyes, and blankly said, "That's not nice." Nikki was personally supportive of transgendered people, and LGBT rights in general (Being Bi herself).

"Ow! That fucking hurts." Amanda was rubbing her sting, because it stung more than that one boy with a knife for a dick. Okay, okay, maybe she was being insensitive. "Sorry, sorry, but I'm telling Carrot-top here what's to come." She nonchalantly threw a thumb in the direction of Poppy. "Anyways, Theresa is the one who wears a scarf over his face - because who the hell really does that? No one! Eh, yeah - Usually you'll see him with the cripple. The kid's kinda nice... if he wasn't a shameless crossdresser."

"Don't listen to this jackass..." Nikki pushed Amanda aside with both hands. Nikki raised a finger, "The politically correct term is Transgendered."

Jake Vin Valos.

And just like that, Red came to him. Jake gave him a sly smirk, tipping his hat to his new room mate. Though, some of the things Red told him about himself were... strange. What the fuck am I getting into? I hope he doesn't do anything super weird. Now, he felt like he was in Gabe's position. "Long as you're not watching me sleep, pal." He put his hand out for Red to shake. "It's great sharing a room with you too, since we met and all, and I don't have to worry about being paired with my polar opposite." He gave Red an uplifting smile. "And there isn't anything about me you need to worry about-" Most of the time, "-other than the fact I might have guests over often."

Felix Karrde

Admiring his handiwork, Felix tucked his nail file back into his pants pocket. Testing the little pocket he'd made in the table's side, he slid his wallet in and out before putting it away altogether. Honestly, he had no immediate purpose for his entrance, he just found comfort in having some sort of homefield advantage, even if it meant that he'd have to do some discreet remodeling on his own.

Standing up, he left this table, too. He left the entirety of the cafeteria and got over the idea of trying to make friends the normal way. He'd just have to carve his own way through the school. Who knows? It might work out for him, he decided. Maybe he could end up writing a School Survival Guide for the next year's students.

Though he originally hadn't had any intention of following through with the idea, it spoke to him. On his way, walking around the campus, he stumbled upon the administration office. Curtiously and meekly asking for his living information, he was passed the envelope just like everyone else.

"Ethan Parker?" he read aloud. "Who's Ethan Parker?" Considering he didn't actually know any of the other students, discounting Nikki by technicality, it wasn't actually an unreasonable question. Rather than wait to find out, he decided to go about it the most straightforward way possible. Taking in a deep breath, he hollered "Ethan Parker!" Adding on, "Does anyone know Ethan Parker!" The question echoed out, washing over the entire vicinity of the administration building.

Henry watched his friend finish, before standing up and grabbing Dana's wheelchair. "The Henry Express is now leaving the station. Destination, Admin Building." He said. He knew it wasn't really funny, but oh well. He had heard Valjean loudly exit the building a few moments earlier, followed by others. So he thought it was high time to do that himself, and make sure his friends got their safe as well. He knew Dana and Theresa could get their on their own, but Chris couldn't, plus, he wanted to hang out with his friends! He hadn't gotten to see them in a while. He had a few Vietnam-esque flashbacks of papers with bad grades and physically cringed. Who Just copied a wikipedia site and turned it in as a research paper, blue links and all?

As he stepped outside, he heard commotion. Normally he wouldn't mind it, but when he glanced over in the direction, he saw things escalating quickly. "Wait, guys, stay here." Henry said, halting his movements and releasing Dana's chair, making sure she didn't roll anywhere of course. He calmly removed his suit's coat, as to not mess it up in case anything went wrong, and set it on the bar of Dana's chair. "I'll be right back." He said, before walking towards the commotion. He allowed his large inner toe to unsheathe his large sickle claw, and tapped it to get a message across to Vespera that said 'Out of the way.' She knew full well that he did that when pissed off. He saw Valjean activate his powers and knew he had to act fast. He grabbed the man from behind by his shirt, and pulled him away, lifting him off the ground with one arm. Henry grunted in brief exhortation, as Valjean was a larger man, but he wouldn't show any more weakness. He also reached over and grabbed Sam by the front of his shirt, lifting him up as well, this time without a grunt. "I heard someone say Ugly, so I came." He hissed. He cocked his head and looked Valjean over. "Valjean, I was sure that you of all people would've known that fights can only be conducted inside the arena if both parties agree..." Henry said, his tail moving rapidly in an agitated manner. "Using your power to instigate a fight outside of the legality in the arena is strictly forbidden. Doing so would result in me subduing you using my own powers, for safety's sake." Henry said nonchalantly. "So, what that means, is now that I'm a teacher, I can kick your ass outside of class if I deem it necessary. You learned in the arena last time acid goes well through carapace." the great reptile growled, squeezing Valjean's shirt tighter.

The lizard then turned his head to Sam, and looked the man over. "I'll let you off with a warning this time, since I've never seen you before and you're probably new." Henry began. "If you get into a fight, if doesn't matter who started it. It matters if you threw a punch or not. Most of the teachers aren't going to be as forgiving." He said, before setting Sam down and turning back to Valjean. "So, I'm going to set you down, and you're going to back off." the reptile said, his pupils slowly expanding from a slit to a wider a more circular shape. He set the man down, and cracked his knuckles. He looked over his shoulder at Vespera. "Vespera, love, I understand you love to see people do this, but lets shy away from the new kids for a little bit, m'kay?" He said, trying to come off as causal, but also do-as-I-say-or-so-help-me-god . He enjoyed calling her 'love' just to mess with her, and so far it had worked. "Why don't you all go to Administrative Building to see what room and room mates you'll have, do something productive for a change." He said, glancing over to Valjean. "And so I can make sure you cool down for a little bit." He looked past Sam to Vera, and smiled. "Vera, why dont you introduce me to your friend. I'm sure he wont bother listening to me." He said, raising an eye ridge and smiling. He hadnt spoken to Vera much, but the girl was nice enough, and had been going to the island for a long time, plus they were in the same age group, so they had probably shared a drink or two at some point, as friends of course.

Vera

Sam. Vera committed the name to memory and was about to politely decline his offer for a cigarette when Valjean wormed his way into their conversation. Involuntarily, she grimaced at the sound of his voice before she actually processed his words. Generally, whatever he had to say either irked or disgusted her. This time, it happened to be both. Squaring her shoulders, she looked at Valjean without angling her body to face him.

"We're not here to fight-" Sam spoke and apparently, they were here to fight. At least the boys were. Sensing the situation spiral out of control, Vera's eyes darted to and fro, searching for a way out. She shifted her weight on her feet, putting herself behind Sam a little more just in time for Vespera slither up beside her. Oh, great. Like she needed someone else to stir the pot. She shot the other girl a hard look, nonverbally telling her to piss off before she made things worse- Oh, no.

Vera rolled her eyes to the sky. Already, Valjean was powering up. Fan-fucking-tastic. There was no talking him down from his pedestal, so as a last-ditch attempt to salvage the situation, she turned to Sam and put a hand on his shoulder. His annoyance shot through her and mingled with her own for a second. The move wasn't to try and tamper with his emotions, just to get his attention.

"Sam," She urged, "This guy's not worth your time. Seriously. He does this to everybody." Vee saw Henry come over in just enough time for her to get out of his way as he made a grab for Sam and Valjean. Relief washed over her. Henry was a great guy, but he could be downright spooky when he put his mind to it. She crossed her arms over her chest and waited patiently for the scolding to come to an end. When she was addressed, she flashed him a grateful smile and shot a sidelong glance to Sam. She hoped he wouldn't mind if she introduced them. It was a little patronizing in her mind, but with the tension so high, she didn't want to press it.

"Henry, this is Sam. Sam, this is- ah, Mr. Olin?" She passed her hand between them as she spoke. Vee was so used to calling him Henry, but since he was a teacher now, she wasn't totally sure what he would rather be called.

Ethan

A warm feeling spread through Ethan's chest at Morrison's greeting. His shoulders relaxed a fraction of an inch and his pulse steadied considerably. Absently, he began fiddling with the hem of his sleeve. Home was the Academy. That place he was confined to over breaks and holidays was a constant and grossly high level of hell. Memories of that place threatened to enter his conscious mind, so his reply was quick and hollow sounding despite the effort he put into sounding genuine.

"Oh, you know. Same old stuff. Nothing new. I'm glad to hear your vacation went well." His tone picked up sincerity as he turned his thoughts away from himself. "I'm glad to be back for another year." All true facts. Some more fortunate than others. "Did you find out your roommate assignment yet?" It looked like he had something in his hands. Ethan couldn't read braille, so it could have been anything. A small part of him wished that they were rooming together, even though it probably wouldn't be possible given their age differences.

Red Winston

Red laughed at Jake's comment about him staying up all night. The only reason he had to do this was to sort out any info he had aqcuired during the day and, depending on the size of information he had to process, it would sometimes take hours during the night. However, Red was reclutant to explain that to Jake, from fear that he might think he is a weirdo. Taking into account all the parameters, he decided that it should be best for Jake to know why he had to do these weird things and hope that he could understand that it was a nescessity, rather than eccentricity.

"No, nothing of the sort (reffering to him watching Jake sleep) and I don't have a single problem with you inviting people, as long as I get some time quietly...Of course, if this is impossible, I can always take a walk around until your guests have left, it wouldn't annoy me. As for my own bad habits, I think I should explain, so you know what you are dealing with."

He paused for a second to pick the right words to say, then continued.

"As far as I understand, my power is my memory capability. I have the power to remember and understand any information I come across, possibly forever. For example, if you ask me about this conversation in ten, twenty or even more years, I could tell you all of it, word for word. That's why, I have these strange habits, which are actually nescessary for my power to operate normally. I have to sort out memories in places I call memory rooms, depending on their importance, date I acquired them, their size and some other factors. That's why I have to stay up until late sometimes. In order to find the info I am looking for, I must completely focus on my memory rooms, thus you may find me standing motionless for quite some time. I hope it doesn't freak you out, but it is something I have to do as to not overload my brain. Kinda neat. Other than that, you can say that my only other bad habit is smoking and if you are not a smoker, I can guarantee that I will not ever smoke in the room. Other than that, I also swear that whatever I see or hear in the room will stay in the room. You could even kill a person in there and I wouldn't say a word. Promise."

After finishing his rather big monologue and waiting for Jake's reply, which he hoped it would be cool, Red turned to Gabe to watch the conversation that was about to take place.

"There is no way this is gonna end peacefully, is it?" he joked to Jake.

Christopher Fox

Chris was worried about Henry just storming off to the commotion. Not because he was afraid that Henry would get hurt, he was more worried for the other party. He knew well that Henry could do more than pack a punch, which made him wonder who would be unlucky enough to cause a commotion when he was nearby, now that he was a teacher. He was full aware that, unlike him, Henry was rational enough to control his temper and his powers, something that he was jealous of. Sometimes, he wished that Henry was the one having his powers during the incident in the shipwreck, pretty sure that he would be more composed than he was.

He politely apologized to Dana and Teresa and explained that he had to follow Henry to make sure everything was okay. He would ask them to come along, so he wouldn't leave them alone, but he couldn't move Dana's chair and was embarrased to ask Teresa to do it, something that was obvious from the expression of a self-ashamed person he had. Instead, he promised to be back soon and rushed to the source of the commotion some time after Henry did.

The spectacle when he arrived was unique. Henry had grabbed to guys, one from the back of his shirt, the other from the collar. He was pretty sure that one of the guys was the one he thought to be Valjean in the Cafeteria, with the difference that he was covered in some sort of armor, or something similar. It was pretty amazing how this tough looking guy was lifted with just one arm by Henry, something that almost made Chris laugh, but managed to hold it in. The other one looked pretty normal to Chris, but in this school what seemed pretty normal didn't mean that it wasn't equally dangerous. The fact that he was unfazed by the appearance of the other guy meant a lot by itself. It reminded him of himself when he was younger. Deciding not to doze off in past memories, Chris said:

"Seems like you have proper control of the situation, teach. So, is this the guy you said I will possibly share a room with? This Val-whatever-his-name-is? Well, if he is, he is a tough looking fellow. However, I hope he takes off the armor when he sleeps, I wouldn't want it creaking during the night."

Chris didn't want to be provocative, but he knew that the tough guys of the Academy had only one way to handle them. Show them that you are not afraid of them. Not that they would stop thinking that they could beat you to a pulp, but at least they would know that you had the nerve to stand up to them. Most probably, Valjean would be the same.

Another girl also piqued Chris' interest, a familiar face, but he couldn't remember her at all. Maybe when all this fuss was over, he could have a word with her, to see if she was someone he knew.

Sam

Sam smirked as he caught on to Valjean's accent. The kid was practically setting himself up.

"Yeah I speak English pal. Question is; do you?" he taunted "Shouldn't you be making me a croissant or s-" And then Vespera showed up. Sam was attracting quite a bit of attention now, which was either a good thing or a bad thing. When he saw Frenchie turn his hands into boxing gloves, he responded by flickering, very slightly at first but then more often, as if he were a ghost with a bad connection. He was going to say something derogatory to Vespera to get her to piss off, but in dress she was similar to Vee, the only person here who didn't want to kill him, and the only insults he could think of for her were bad emo jokes. He was tensed and ready for action when he found himself being picked up by a dinosaur. Son of a bitch! Sam thought This place is fucking Jurassic Park! Of course, he was too concerned about being eaten by said dinosaur to say that out-loud.

Vera said "Henry, this is Sam. Sam, this is- ah, Mr. Olin?" She passed her hand between them as she spoke. Vee was so used to calling him Henry, but since he was a teacher now, she wasn't totally sure what he would rather be called.

"N-nice to meet you, Mr.Olin." Sam said, half smirking "Now please don't eat me." He let out a sigh of relief as the dinosaur man sat him down, and took a few steps back to put on his jacket, which was hanging from a tree branch. Hot or not, he felt much safer with the jacket on his back. There was a tear in the top of his tee shirt now, but he didn't really care after what he thought would be a near-death experience. After the jacket was securely on and the cigarettes and lighter back in their proper pockets, Sam leaned over to Vera and whispered "I'm glad I didn't get detention on the first day, but I totally coulda taken that prick."

Felix Karrde - Outside the Administration Building

After hollering at the top of his lungs at no one in particular, Felix finally stopped. Apparently no one cared enough to answer his question. But a trio of upper classmen had been huddled together at a distance, recording him with their cell phones and laughing like jackals. Their laughter was sharp, high-pitched, and unrelenting. Finally one of them tripped and fell forward, catching his balance before snorting "What a loser!"

Hearing the remark, Felix's brow shifted before he turned to them and said "Fuck off!"

The upper classmen did no such thing, instead they just stopped laughing and walked up to Felix, led by a well-built teen who dressed like a hoodlum. "What do you want with Ethan? Is he your boyfriend or something."

Felix twitched his nose and held back a snarl, "No, he's my roommate, jackass. I just need to know where he is."

The guy standing in front looked at each of his comrades before chuckling, "Kinky." Then he turned back to Felix and said, "Parker's over that way. Try not to transform into another dying weasel or whatever it is you do." His finger pointed Felix, through the door's window toward the conversing combination of Morrison and Ethan back inside the building.

Letting out a deep sigh, Felix said "Thank you," before walking inside and approaching who he guessed was Ethan, next to an older French looking man, tapping him on the shoulder.

Poppy

Just like that her dreams for a semblance of normality during her stay was dashed on the rocks bellow. Her head was spinning as she digested what she was told about her roommate. Tranny. Crossdresser. Transgendered. She hadn't heard the first word before, but the other two hit it home. Is she serious? A guy that wanted to be a girl should still be set up in the boys dorms... right? Based on Nikki's reaction they were completely serious. A stream of the worse possible scenarios began to run through her head.

What if he's only pretending? Or still likes girls? How am I going to change with him around? Poppy could care less about peoples gender identities if it didn't impact her. If this is really happening I had better get used to using she... She grabbed her hair and shook her head in frustration. Never did it cross her mind that she might be stereotyping and that rooming with Theresa might not be so bad.

Finally Poppy snapped out of it. There was only one more thing she had to ask before moving on. At least until she met her for herself. "Say this doesn't exactly work out... is there any way to change roommates?" Please please please let there be. Otherwise she would be completely and totally stuck with it if any of her fears were realized.

Vespera

Things were starting to intensify quickly. Leave it to the men to not waste any time before a skirmish. Though had either she or Chihuahua been so high strung earlier the result might have been the same. Look who's pulling out the big guns. Valjean was starting to don his exoskeletal armor in preparation of giving scrawny Sam a beat down. Question is how long it will take them to send a staffer to put an end to it. Sooner than she had hoped. This is why I'll never become a teacher. Not that they'd have me.

Racing to the scene was none other than Henry. Vespera narrated parts of his his approach to herself. Ooh, the shirts coming off. She circled around the fighters for a better perspective when things would come to a close momentarily. What's this? It's the claw! We should run for our lives! Despite her joking she knew that he only did that when he meant business. Such strength. While she wagered she was equally as strong it would be amusing to see how Valjean reacted in the face of a teacher.

Personally she didn't respect Henry any more, if anything she thought less of him. Scorpion boy was likely of similar persuasion. Love, he should get a more original endearing term. "Really? But I was trying so hard to behave Barney dear." He didn't have any sway over her so long as she was in the confines of the rules, which she was. "I wasn't encouraging them, would you of had me try to stop them?" Vespera turned her attention to Chris who had just showed up on the scene without waiting for a response.

"I figured you for dead. This is some sure some way to get welcomed back to the world of living."

Valjean Vaseal, Shannon Balore, & Deborah Termellio.

"Hey! Put me down you scaly freak!" Valjean shouted as he started throwing blind swings at Henry. Ugh. It looks like Henry decided to be the knight in shining armor. Typical. The guy was a huge tool. He stopped swinging his fists and just hanged, until Henry put him down. His attention was instantly on Henry. "Pick me up like that again, Lizardman, and I break every bone in that arm until I get bored." As he talked, he made the exoskeleton around his arms peel off. He rolled his sleeves up, and it just dropped off, making a slimy disgusting sound as he did so. "I wasn't even going to fight. I was just to punk Bitch-boy here. That's all." He threw his hands up in a sarcastic surrender. He narrowed his eyes and grinned cockily. He spat out some taunts towards Henry, "It's cool. Because I know if we got into a real fight; nobody would have been able to save either of your asses. So, you jackoffs can go run off and twist the situation into whatever you like." He shrugged cockily.

"Jean! That is enough!" Deborah finally said, walking up to the situation, leaving Shannon behind. Hoping that she could be the one to put a stop to this situation. Even though their love was a one-way street, he actually listened to her... Most of the time.

Jean smiled, and immediately threw his arm around her. His trophy girl. "Hey, babydoll. I wondered when you'd show up." He totally forgot. He spoke to her again, "Want to leave here? These scrubs are polluting my air. And I have a sensitive nose."

Whatever gets us the hell out of here... Deborah thought to herself as her face contorted into an awkward frown. Trying to hide the fact that she was uncomfortable around him, she faked a smile. "... Sure."

Shannon was not amused. She almost threw up in her mouth. Every time she saw her Deborah with that giant jackass, it made her cringe. She let out a sigh. She had to keep her vindications under wraps, lest anyone gets suspicious. Her gaze wandered towards Vera. Anyone else, that is. Because of Vera's power, Shannon always knew that the girl was invading their privacy.

Valjean stopped in his tracks, and pointed at Sam before he left, "You there, B-boy." He gave Sam an arrogant smirk, "You and me are going to brawl at the arena tomorrow. Come if you don't need lizard-freak bailing you out."

With that, he walked off. Ignoring everyone else here.

Dana Lucille Alcott, & Theresa Sindel Obott.

"Wow, the testosterone levels are off the chart!" Theresa cupped a hand to her mouth, giggling. She watched the scene unfold, apparently the self-crowned school badass, Valjean, decided that he should start a fight. On the first day? Theresa found the scene so amusing. Men always had to prove that they were the biggest, baddest, and the toughest out there. Which got them labeled as 'try hards' in Tess's eyes. Fortunately, Henry was able to put everyone in their place. Which prompted the arrival of Deborah, and the departure of both Valjean and his 'girlfriend'. Theresa sarcastically snorted, "Thank god he's gone, I think the raw, pure, manilessness-" She spoke the last three words of her sentence with a over dramatic flair. "-would have poisoned everyone here."

Unlike Tess, Dana was annoyed, for the same reasons why Theresa found it amusing. People coming here acting like they're superman gets annoying after what? The hundredth time? And it all ends the same; staff breaks it up, and either everyone gets sent to the detention center, or gets off with a slap on the wrist - In this case, the latter is true. Dana rolled her eyes, and propped her head onto her hand. Bored. She did force a smile with Theresa joked, "Yeah, testosterone poisoning." Dana replied, very dull. In the crowd, she noticed Vera... A friend of theirs, similar to Theresa, being genderfluid and all. "How about we go talk to them? Things seem clear now."

"Sure." Theresa got behind Dana and pushed her onto the scene. She immediately bumped Henry with her fist, "Heeeeeeeey, you said you'd push Dana for me. What gives?" She was speaking in a playful, sarcastic way. She looked at the other people here, Chris (of course), Vera, and Vespera - Theresa had never seen Vespera before, but the woman looked like a bad emo. "Hey, Vera," Theresa greeted, "Where's Ethan?"

Amanda Daisy Blackmore, & Nikki Biyung.

"Bitch. A. Lot. You can't get anything done here unless you make waves, sweetheart!" Amanda giggled. Before closing her eyes and shrugging, "Of course, if you want to risk getting your little ass getting expedited off this island..." Amanda striked a strong, triumphant pose, with her fist in the air, and her face contorted into a fierce look. "... Go up to the Headmaster's office, tell him he's your bitch now, and tell him to get that weirdo out of your room before you bitchslap him!" She empathized every 'your' and 'you' in her speech. It was hard to tell if she was being serious or not. Probably. That was the answer. Probably.

Nikki immediately facepalmed, slipping one eye between her fingers, and looking at Poppy. Nikki wasn't sure herself what Poppy thought of the news, and honestly, it would be a waste of time asking. So Nikki came up. "Look, if you really have a problem with her, and if the school isn't too strict about it; maybe you can stay with me." Nikki's eyes trailed to the left, "... If you don't mind the bugs."

Jake Vin Valos.

"Alright." Jake said in response when Red talked about keeping the room quiet. He shrugged. It wasn't like the Valos were the most loud and noisy angry people out there. Except when Gabe gets angry. They'd probably just play poker in his room most of the time. Jake waited quietly to see what Red was going to say when he said 'know what he's dealing with'. This made him a little worried. He was hoping he didn't say anything weird.

Fortunately, Jake was pretty relieved when Red simply explained his power. So basically, Red has a superhuman mind, and superior memory... Interesting power, Jake had to say. "Heh, cool power." Jake said, scratching the back of his neck, with a smile on his face. "It doesn't bother me at all, now that you explain it." Jake shrugged, with a smile on his face. "Since we're on the topic of powers, maybe I should explain to you mine." He put a hand onto his chin.

"Illusions... Not the typical kind..." Jake thought for how to put it "...'Pseudo-Existent' as I like to call it. They can be solid - and when they are, they mimic whatever I created. Along with the ability to apply the five senses to them whenever I please. Which gives me the idea that they're more than just illusions... I... can't put my finger on it." He thought about how to explain that, before giving up on it and just going on with it. "Uhhh... Think of it like a Green Lantern ring. I can create anything I can imagine."

Jaska Din Valos.

Jaska got really bored and wandered outside to go battle with the evil butterfly God.

Henry chuckled at Valjean, shaking his head. "It sure it good this wasn't a real fight then." he said, smiling to Valjean's retreating form. He shook his head when Vespera spoke up. Of course, she would have to add her two cents. "Vespera, you and I both know you wouldn't be here if you weren't getting a kick out of it. And no, I wouldn't expect you to stop it. I know you well enough to say you'd probably do the exact opposite and join in just to make my job more difficult." Henry said, crossing his arms and waggling his eye ridges, and smiling. He had her there, and she would know it. Of course, the high ground that he had just established was enough for him, and her returned his attention to Chris. "Yeah, that's Valjean. He's a prick, but he can take a few punches, maybe dis out a few back. I don't like him, but I can respect him... as a rival." He said, looking over to Vera. "Sorry you had to see that Vee, and for nearly running you down. And you as well as you, Sam," he said, pausing and shaking his head as Sam asked him not to make a fine meal out of himself. "-Can just refer to me as Henry or Dragonfly. Don't worry about me eating you. You're too bony."

He looked over to Theresa and Dana, and happily took the slug to the arm. "Ow!" he said at the minor pain, and then brought the back of his hand up to his head. "Everyone saves the princess, but who will save the dragon from being bullied?" He said, before moving over to grab Dana's wheelchair, taking his coat and slinging it over his shoulder, as it was pretty hot out, and reptile or not, he could still overheat. Black coats be damned. "Sorry Theresa, duty called." He wanted to make a bathroom joke, but he was never one for potty humor. He had shared a similar outlook to Dana's on the whole superman thing, and he had seen them get out of hand before. Ever since Valjean came around he became a repetitive offender, which was... characteristic of him. He wouldn't be Valjean if he didn't do it. Plus, he kept things interesting. Now that he was one of the people that broke up the fights, a new experience was his to observe. Onlooking was boring, but being part of the action was a lot more... enjoyable. He guessed it was kinda like golf. All serious if you're a player but sleep fodder if you're watching. Oh well. "Yeah Vee, where is Ethan? Is he already at the admin building?" He questioned, looking over to his friend. "Speaking of which, we should probably be heading down there now. Anyone's welcome to tag along." he said, glancing to Vera and Sam.

Vera

"Sure you could have, Sam," Vera whispered back oozing sarcasm. She shot him a playful smirk. Really, didn't know- and didn't want to know- who would win that fight. Valjean was ruthless and Sam had a mostly good head on his shoulders it seemed. It would be a shame if he lost it. Chris' arrival surprised Vee in more ways than one. She heard tell that he was coming back, but to actually see him now... She felt like she should say something. Like a "Hi" or a "How are you?" or maybe "Can I try growing your arm back?" She frowned at Vespera, but didn't otherwise dignify her with a reply to her rude comment. She had all the sensitivity of a cold brick.

Vee pointedly looked away from Valjean and ignored him as he went on his rant. Listening to his jabber would only serve to aggravate her further; A true waste of her precious energy. She thought about something else and Ethan came to mind. She missed him on the boat and over the summer, if she was to be completely honest with herself. The fresh wave of rage brought her focus to Deborah when she came more than her words. Her exchange with Valjean put a knot in her stomach and she shot a quick look back to where she came from only to find Shannon looking right back at her. Vee didn't need to be an empath to see she wasn't amused.

"Don't worry about it, Henry," She said to his apology. Better him than her or anyone else for that matter. Her mood brightened considerably when Tess wheeled Dana over to their little group. She smiled when Tess looked at her and was prepared to return her greet until she followed it up with a question. It jarred her for a second, switching topics like that, but by the time Henry echoed her question, she had a response. Vee supposed it was a little strange not having him in her shadow, but she insisted it was good for him to branch out of his comfort zone.

"Yeah, he's probably in the admin building looking for his roommate," She guessed with a light shrug, "I'll walk with you." Vee checked back to Sam. "You coming?"

Ethan

Ethan accidentally bristled when someone touched his shoulder. He wasn't a fan of physical contact, especially touches of the unexpected variety. Inwardly, he cringed at his own reaction and managed a hasty recovery, forcing his shoulders to settle as he slowly turned to face the shoulder-tapper. On instinct, he looked up since most people were taller than him, but to his surprise, he had to drop his eyes several inches to meet the eyes of the other boy. He blinked owlishly a few times.

"H-Hello?" He choked out, "Can I help you with something?" He looked a little bit younger than him, but even if he was a new student, Ethan wasn't totally sure how he would help him.

Felix Karrde - The Administration Office

Huh, someone who was even more socially challenged than himself. Maybe this wouldn't be so bad. With a little luck, it might not even blow up in his face. Looking the nervous boy in the eye, and outright ignoring the cajun beside him, he outreached his hands and gave a smirk, though he half-expected his proposed handshake to be sheepishly declined.

"Are you Ethan Parker? If that is the case, you're my roommate. And if it isn't, you're just being used to me look like an idiot. Again." Finally, he said, "My name is Karrde. Felix Karrde."
