Tamer
Name: Catherine Freeman
:
Age: 16
:
Appearance:
:
Personality:
- Extremely blunt and outspoken, and can come across as very harsh. She hasn't got much patience for 'idiots' or people who get ahead of themselves; she isn't necessarily harsh as a rule, but is rather temperamental and prone to jumping to conclusions. She isn't exactly the kindest person otherwise, and can still be very insensitive, intentionally or otherwise but does know how to interact with people normally and seems to appreciate kindness.
- Impulsive and tends to trust her own judgement over that of others, for better or for worse. She doesn't mind getting violent, either.
- Despite her harshness, she isn't naturally a cold person- she seems to care about people and doing the right thing, and can come off as conscientious when not being harsh.
- Reasonably mature as a person- despite her harshness and occasional impulsiveness, she does seem to understand advanced concepts such as the complexity of morality and the subjective nature of right and wrong,
even if this may not be immediately evident. She's still a child, after all. Still got a way to go.

Backstory:
Catherine had a weird childhood. Discounting one significant factor, it was relatively normal- she did well enough in school, never really got bullied, and she got along well enough with her parents. Little splashes of trouble here and there, but she was smart enough to stay out of the doghouse.
The one key factor here, though, is that of her parent's combined career. As executives for an international security firm, Catherine and her parents were constantly moving between the USA and the UK for the first twelve or so years of her life; meaning she never really got the chance to settle down in one place or make lasting friends anywhere after a point. All things considered, it could have been worse; but it has had an effect on her, and she's a lot more used to being independent and taking care of herself than others her age might be, at the cost of impaired friend-making abilities and social skills.

Digimon
Name/Species: Monodramon
Appearance
Personality
Monodramon is an odd individual who doesn't quite seem to be a real person. From birth, he was told tales of the Digimon and Humans that once saved the Digital World, and was also filled with an unexplainable, borderline irrational desire to protect those that couldn't protect themselves. Essentially, he wanted to become a Hero like those legendary Digimon and Humans; but he didn't seem able to understand what it meant to be a Hero, nor why he wished to be one so much more than others around him. Whilst this earnestness can be endearing, as his seemingly genuine desire to protect people, the fact is that he often comes off as more of a machine than a person; whilst many would attribute his desire to help to the circumstances of his life, the truth is that the desire predated even that, and seems to be something programmed into him.
Similarly, despite his desire to be a Hero and protector of the weak, he possesses a natural inclination to merciless brutality; like his desire to be a Hero, he has possessed this from birth and seems unable to control it. When pushed into a fight, he will end it with the utmost efficiency, tearing his foe apart with extreme prejudice. This causes him to come off as a sociopath, which isn't helped by his behaviour; he seems to justify this brutality with his cause of protecting the weak, and seems to have his guard up at all times. In reality, however, he's more complex than this. He seems to be the sum of two uneven wholes; a person that respects the value of life and has an earnest desire to protect the weak and helpless, and a brutal machine that, whilst well-intentioned, chases an end with no sense of compunction. His use of his ideals as a justification is less meant to justify himself to others and more to reassure himself; underneath it all, he's a child who's grown up too fast. A child who's scared of himself and wants to know that he's still a person rather than a monster or a machine. A child shackled by desire and unable to determine his own identity.
As a result of all this, he seeks to avoid conflict where necessary; preferring to try 'reasonining' with his opponents, whether that be through some childish grasp of logic or through intimidation. Whilst not quite a pacifist, and still prone to becoming violent at the drop of a hat, he does seek to avoid fighting as much as he can.
Backstory: Monodramon was born in the Village of Beginnings, as many Digimon were. For unknown reasons, he developed very quickly; whilst it might have taken years for a Digimon to grow to their Rookie form from a Fresh, it took less than a year for him. For a while, he remained there to act as something of a protector for the young Digimon in the village, working with the other Rookies living there to repel attackers and feral Digimon looking for an easy meal. Eventually, however, he left; his innate brutality scared others, including the Fresh and In-Training Digimon he was supposed to be protecting, but there was one person in particular he scared that forced him to leave.
Himself. Whilst he was still young and inexperienced, he was scared of himself; scared that he might lose control over himself and hurt those he was supposed to be protecting. As of this, he took to the plains and forests around the village, and chose to live in seclusion.
