I'm thinking maybe I can have Kaito attack the city with some giant monster he has submitting to him. And Rachel can attack Kai, Jason and Lyren along with Rowen and some other giant beasts.

Lyren isn't trying to be whiny. The subject is just very touchy for him. He grew up around Dark Mages whom he literally watched lose their minds. He's afraid that he'll follow in their footsteps. And hasn't had the best experiences with people inside and outside of Crimson Tear. He's going typical troubled, dark character.

My anime experience tells me that punching him in the face will work best in this situation. A punch in the face always works on these types of characters.

It worked almost all the time in gurren lagann xD and it works for most characters going through tough times. And I know he isn't being randomly whiny. But come on. Tell me it wouldn't seem that way to someone who doesn't really know him THAT well? Got me?

Lol I just want what Kai says to actually make sense. Something along te lines of "get over yourself. There's more than just you and your problems. Everyone has or has had serious trouble in their life. Etc. etc."
