I don't understand how people miss deadlines. If I say I want to join a roleplay I make a character before I do anything else. That way I not only reserve a spot but I don't make other people wait. But then again that's just me.Also, adding my own anime obsession to the list. I was at an anime convention a week ago and I was dressed up from a series called Hetalia, so I'm kind of high on it right now. Its a fantastic, goofy little thing that's surprisingly educational. Its about the countries personified as people and you actually learn world history from it. It helped me pass a world history test in school. I'll also give some love to two lesser known series that are absolutely amazing. Casshern Sins, which is depressing and beautiful a the same time. And Phantom: Requiem For The Phantom. The ending kind of sucks to that one, but the rest of the series is really good. And it only sucks because its left to the watchers interpretation. Which I believe should never be done in an anime. Or anything for that matter.
I've seen a few episodes of Casshern Sins. Never watched Phantom, but in the defense of something being left up to the viewers interpretation there are some upsides to it. For one it makes your audience continue to think and talk about it. What happened? Why? Etc. Of course it is one of those things that aren't really so good unless done right. Regardless I never watched it so I can't judge.
I never watched Hetalia... Okay that's wrong... I saw an episode once when I was younger and more focused on just action stuff in anime... So it didn't appeal to me and I have such a long list of anime that I haven't watched it o_o
Moreover... I really like Shonen stuff and Seinen stuff... Of course, for most of the more main stream stuff I kind of just forget the anime and read the manga... But I can get into just about anything if I give it the chance. Although usually I don't give the horror genre much of a chance. Let me elaborate... I do not mean gore. Gore is fine. I mean real horror... I get scared easily... And paranoid afterwards...
SO I have made a tough choice. I have made the current players wait long enough. So in an effort to get things rolling Zarkun is accepted. This convers our last spot. Brown bear and Phantom if anyone drops out I will let you know or I may even decide to let more people in anyway depending on how things go. Anyway I will have the opeing post up either tonight or tomorrow midday. If anyone has any complaints I am sorry but I am the GM.
It is a form of Ancient Spell in which the caster is able to attain the abilities of a "God", using lightening as their element of choice. The lightening elemental type of God Slayer Magic can be conjured from the caster's body and be used for various purposes, mainly in combat. It is said that the original usage of this Magic was to slay "Gods". In addition, the color of the Lightening God Slayer's element has a black tint, though the reason is unknown. Like other Slayers(Including God and Demon), the user is able to consume external sources of lightening to increase his power and restore magic energy. The power of the Lightening God Slayer, once he is strong enough, can be immense and used to desolate a large area with powerful lightening strikes.
Jason is not nearly strong enough to do this, with his most powerful spell being the Lightening God's Bellow. Other moves include the Lightening God's Judgement Strike, akin to a Dragon Slayer's fist attack, and Lightening God's Punishment, akin to a Dragon Slayer's talon attack.
Appearance:
His tattoo is on his right arm just below the shoulder, where it can always be seen and is a golden color.
History: Jason grew up in a small town in Fiore off the beaten path from the more popular places like Magnolia or Hargeon Town. It was a town of mostly scholars and archive magicians, but also a small family of book keepers. This is the family that Jason had been born into, and it should not have been a surprise when the family came into possession of an ancient book. More specifically, a young Jason Dermentes came to possess it when a strange man, the Lightening God Slayer of the time, handed it to him. "Inside this book lies a way for you to escape this mediocridy and come to understand your true potential." Leaving a confused Jason behind, the man continued on and left town the next day.
Hiding in a section of the book shop his family owned where no one could find him, he knew the shop better than even his parents, he began reading the ancient text inside, which showed him the secrets of God Slayer magic and how to learn it. This must be what that strange man meant by a way to escape from here. After three days and two nights of extensive study to ensure he had learned all he could from the book, he snuck away from his home to a secluded part of the forest to practice. His first spell left his right hand feeling numb for weeks, but it progressively got better as the weeks went by, the numbness lasting less and less time, until he began to grow stronger, physically and magically.
After practicing for eight years, by which time he was 17, he took leave from his home, his parents feeling conflicted feelings for their son. He had grown up to be so strong, yet they feared he may yet turn to a darker path. Jason nearly had, when he was corned by a dark guild known as Unending Shadow two years later. They had worn him down, battering at him with all the magic they could for hours until he was on his knees and gasping for air. They offered him two choices, join their guild and survive or continue to fight and be killed. He had debated for several minutes, wavering back and forth between survival and death before deciding. But even as he began to stand to defy them further, they were sent packing, several members of Fairy Tail showing up just in time to save him.
Seeing Jason's injured and tired form struggling to stand, they helped him up and took him back to their guild hall, where he rested and healed before deciding to join their guild. And he didn't regret it. He was welcomed with open arms and there had always been someone to talk to if he had problems or someone to help him on a job when he needed it. He wrote to his parents after his first year with them, telling them of his adventures up to that point and how happy he was. His parents wrote back, saying how proud of him they were and that they were happy he'd found a good guild. But that was the last he heard from them. The same month he got their letter back, his home village was wiped from the map by the Unending Shadow in retaliation for Fairy Tail saving Jason. He has been determined to find them ever since, though he doesn't let that keep him from other jobs or helping his guild mates when they need it.
Legend and Lore: In the two years Jason spent traveling, he came across an ancient temple in a canyon deep in a jungle he'd been exploring. He hadn't dared enter it, sensing something powerful and ancient inside, so he instead kept it's location a secret and destroyed the canyon entrance, closing it off until he felt strong enough to return and investigate.
Personality: Jason is somewhat reserved even after five years in the Fairy Tail guild. Part of that is because he fears that anyone he grows close to will be targeted by the Unending Shadow for refusing their "generous offer." Once you get past his shell, he can be kind of a goof ball and most definitely has a hard time talking with girls. Unless they're a friend, in which case he's totally at ease.
Other notes or sections that I might have forgot: Enjoys his burgers immensely His parents's deaths are a touchy subject, and if it is brought up, he can get angry quickly. Is determined to make the dark guild Unending Shadow face justice for what they did to his home town.
Alright everyone the first post is up. A fair warning it is not long but I think it will suffice. Post as much as you want but a minimum of a paragraph. Also I will try and post as much as I can. Natsu, Lucy, Grey, and Gahjshield. Are all out on Jobs right now but will appear later in the RP. Wendy will either be played by me or Demon right now along with Gildarts and Erza. If you present a good argument that any of you can play Erza or Wendy to their personalities then please do. Who knows you might even get to be the one that uses that character for the rest of the story. Anyway I will be on till 4pm central time and will check in on my break while at work and when I get home at 10:30 pm central time. Have fun all!!
it is just a way to open up. I can just use fake newbies if needed. If you arent new to the guild then just describe what job you have been on or what you have been doing during the morning hours.
Third person is preferred. As far as being in the guild it is up to your history. Like some character have it in their history that they are a part of the guild. I.E. mine or Zarkun's. While others are not. I.E. soren's or Redwing's
Just in case... My apologies for any spoilers to anyone of the Fairy Tail Fan community in the RP.
Zarkun I needed to mention something to you. I know soren accepted you. However, being that the knowledge of an actual Lightning God Slayer's existence in the series was unknown to him he couldn't know that it was against his rules. Still rather than change your magic or bio or anything I think you should just mention that the LGS from the series is the one who gave you the book or something... Just mention it... Or something along those lines.

That's actually a spoiler for me XD I'll make a slight edit to the bit with the mysterious man.
