I feel Akemi has a bin full of Midori's rejected ideas.

All of Midori's suggestions are probably sent through directly from any council member to the nearest shredder, by this point. Poor Midori's suggestions.

Actually just LARP club if you're all so dead set on using a club. Detective club no. Why? This may be based off of Persona 4 as the biggest base, but there are no murders or anything like that to warrant 'Detectives'. Only the mirror world.

I'm partially dead-set on using it, due to some logic an reasoning. Also, I'm pretty sure we would have no reason for larping, and I'm pretty sure there already is a larping club of sorts (drama, in a way, it is larping). Also, I can understand some of the reasoning behind your statements, but lets be honest - who drags a bunch of weapons around town? I know this isn't supposed to be realistic, but can we not pull our weapons out of no where?

Plus, in the persona 4 anime, the moment Yosuke pulled out some sharp swords, Yu and Yosuke got themselves arested immediately... Don't question why Ayano hasn't been arrested... Also, are we just going to let our personas do all the fighting?

I heard out your ideas, but they didn't stick like the other ideas we discussed. I know I'm supposed to find middle ground, but it doesn't.... And then I got an idea.
We don't need a club, however, we will need a place for our characters to discuss things. I think I have the perfect medium.

We can store their items in a one story abandoned building near the school that can be strangely opened up using only Velvet Keys near the school. They can easily claim they are using it as a storage and a hangout. The place gets cleaned up, etc. How is that for an idea? Yeah, I know there are a few holes that need to be ironed out, but how does that sound?

Ayano wasn't arrested because she isn't dragging a real sword around, just a wooden sword. It might make someone wonder for a while, but a close look will tell you it's no more dangerous than someone lugging around a cricket bat.

Granted it can still kill you if you keep hitting someone in the head with it.

That's my point. Just as dangerous as lugging around a cricket bat.

I think I'll give this a whirl.

Name: Dmitry "Mitch" Nivanov

Age: 16

Appearance: 6'1", 210 pounds, and all of it solid. Mitchell is a big boy, unquestionably and unabashedly so. Sambo and weightlifting have been combined to ensure he is always in shape, and his steely grey eyes are perhaps the most obvious indicator that he is much smarter than one may at first think. His face is decently attractive in a rugged way, but by and large he is nowhere near as beautiful as half the other students at the school.

Arcana: N/A

Personality: Gruff and boisterous, fun-loving, and surprisingly gentle for his size, Mitchell is still nonetheless very capable of breaking you, should he feel the need. Which, given his relative size and Sambo background, would probably in most cases be rather easy. He is a rather blunt young man, and generally decides against trying to dance around subjects when they could just be addressed and dealt with. Certainly the easier option in this language. By no means unintelligent, he just has a soft spot for practicality.

Equipment/Skills: A surprisingly well-kept, maintained, and obviously very precious Mosin-Nagant, commonly locked away in a guitar case. Very obviously a bad idea to mess with that, and he happens to be a damn fair shot with it too. If you asked him, he would say he is 2.5lingual, fluent in both his "native" languages, and passable enough in Japanese to get the idea across. Thankfully, he seems to be able to understand things just fine (when he wants to). A physical powerhouse and a scrappy, skilled grappler, he is no slouch in a fight. Finally, true to his heritage, he can hold his drink with the best of them.

Background: The son of a pair of Russian immigrants who moved to America when he was just a boy, Dmitry is familiar with both sides of the formerly-existing Iron Curtain. After his father was reassigned to the area on business, the family naturally followed.

Persona: N/A

Yeah that sounds okay.

The Velvet Keys thing is a bit unnecessary, and a rather cheap way to keep people not associated with the mirror world out.

I think we should have a place where people won't look twice...

Also even with wooden swords, you would still be approached by police. I would know. You're required to wrap it up, so I think anything is okay as long as you can wrap it up, or it doesn't look like a weapon, like a ball.

If I may give my two cents Savo I think Show's backstory needs a lot more work. I've seen bigger CS's on my early Free section. I'm not one to sound like an elitist when I'm not a gm but everyone here has a bigger history section. Unless it's a work in progress in which case I withdraw my criticism and apologize.

I don't have a huge problem with the backstory, but I am going to point out the elephant in the room;

The gun.

Simple question is; why? You can't have a gun casually in Japan. Perhaps for hunting, but I can't imagine how difficult it would be for a foreigner to get through all the red tape for a permit. You suggest it's precious to your character, but you haven't gone into why in your very limited backstory, which gives the impression you just added it for something "cool" to have. Not to mention you wouldn't get to use it in a combat situation since your character seems to not be a Persona user and thus not someone that will be encountering any situation where a weapon, let alone a gun, would be necessary. Even if you were, I'm not sure I like the idea of a gun being used in a Persona RP. It just seems out of place.

If you can come up with a intriguing reason as to why he should have a gun, I'm all ears. But as it stands, I don't think it's either necessary nor worthwhile to have.

Did you mean Sho, or Snows app?

Snow should probably add a bit more about his backstory imo. For Sho? I'm kind of ok about it, however, it is his decision to alter it in any other ways that he feels like.

Also, I need to stop making my character too much of an overly dramatic person... Actually, screw it, I'm altering my post.

EDIT: Katsuya as well.

I guess I never realised Naoto had a gun because I didn't use her in battle XD And I never played the earlier Persona games, so I had no idea who Eikichi and Katsuya were.

I still object to someone having a gun without a good reason, at the very least.

Ok, to avoid the cheap cop out, I'll have my character obtain some regular keys that he will have. Problem is that he will be one of the few people that has access, unless the school can give him multiple keys. I will however have us obtain velvet keys, and the velvet room will be accessible in the storage if that's ok.

I honestly can't come up with an idea where people wouldn't look twice, but that's the best that I can think of for now.
