Hey, to anyone with an empire character, would they have potentially known Trisean? He did serve as an agent for them for some time before joining the unbound hearts. Also, no one in the unbound hearts knows that.

I'd imagine my character Nomis would have known of Trisean as well. Maybe not personally but as you say Trisean did work as an agent for the Empire it would make sense for the Scientist to have used Trisean if needed.

Also just wanted to say for my post, those creatures are completely expendable, so if anyone wants to write their post with tackling them go right ahead. You can do anything you'd like with them for your posts. ^^

I do believe that it is completely possible that Nomis would know about Doctor Leroy, if only because of the nature of Henry's research causing a bit of a stir before the Empire stepped in to shut it down.

In fact... It's completely possible for the two of them to have collaborated at some point in the past in order to further their own agendas; Nomis to work out how Taint worked and Henry to have items to test his concoctions on.

I was thinking that way too actually. It makes sense especially when you bring up the idea of them having maybe worked together in the past. I'd imagine after Henry's work caused too much attention and was stopped by the Empire's authorities, that Nomis would have been the most likely person to receive Henry's entire work.

I doubt it. What Henry couldn't take with him, he destroyed. But if you kept some notes from the good old days, that's fine.

Just to clarify, usually stating your longevity now will help resolve any issues of identity and level of familiar right away. My character is relatively new, and the way the Empire is set up, it's split into two "armies" so to speak, the second army is currently behind the curtain to be revealed later. All current Empire character fall under the first of the two armies. Unless Piercing light has any objections to that, we should all be on some level of familiar with each other right away.

Clacverk finds Salforge to be bothersome and unreliable =P as per past experience.

I know it took me forever, but I finally finished~

Name: Cerden Celebrindal
Age: 45
Gender: Male

Personality:
While in the empire, Cerden was that kind of guy that always was about the mission and he didn't care what it took to get the job done, as long the mission was completed. In some aspects, Cerden was down-right brutal and above all else, he was completely loyal to the empire. He obeyed every order that The Emperor gave to him, even the ones that caused near genocide to some races. Cerden took it without questioning The Emperor's motives. He was a loyal general, and when something really horrific happened, Cerden's outlook on the empire began to dwindle. His loyalty became faltered and everything that made him who he was began to shift. Cerden questioned everything, but just the little stuff at first, but then that's when his humanity began to surface. He began to show compassion to those wronged and destroyed by the empire. Soon, Cerden began to be sympathetic to the so-called enemies of the empire.

When he defected from the Empire and betrayed his brother, Cerden began to adapt a certain front to himself that slowly went from being aware of the empire's evil ways to doing all that he could to stop them. Of course, his traits of being completely loyal to a cause somewhat dwindled. He now has become more relaxed and easy-going as compared to the past. Some might even say that Cerden has gone into such a way that he is quite lazy. Those people are right, though. He presents himself in a relaxed-like manner. Though, that's only cause the last ten years have taught him that life was short and that being super-serious all the time ruins one's complexion and outlook on life. Speaking of which, his has changed as he tries to enjoy himself more. Still, he will turn his fighting mode on should the situation call for it.

When one gets past that all, Cerden is driven by what he must fix. He betrayed his brother and he feels now that he must fix it. This has caused a certain edge to Cerden to be clouded underneath his relaxed and almost lazy-like mannerisms. Underneath that all, he is focused beyond belief, so don't let his near-unmotivated front confuse ya.

Appearance:

Cerden has a rather tall frame. His height borders almost seventy-seven inches, which averages around six feet and five inches. His weight matches his height perfectly and it comes at just over two-hundred-and-fifty pounds. Or if someone is going by the kilogram system, it’s just past one-hundred-and-ten kilograms. With that in mind, it should be no surprise that Cerden’s build is definitely muscular, but it’s nowhere near the level of being bulky. Some might even say that his build represents that of an top-notch athlete or something of the like.

Cerden’s non-build features are as to be expected. His skin tone is definitely human and it’s of a creamy mocha color. Of course, his age shows as his skin shows aging, but for his age, it seems to be on a rather attractive note. His eyes are piercing red, showing the feeling of seriousness and a huge undertone of relaxed. His hair is around shoulder-length, to which he keeps flowing straight. His hair is of silver and white shade. It’s hard to tell the difference between the two, though.

Cerden’s attire isn’t really anything to out of the ordinary. Actually, it’s quite simple when one really thinks about it. He wears a matching longcoat and pants along with boots and gloves all black and grey throughout. Each are tied down by several belt-like materials of dark brown color. Underneath it all, however, he has lines that seem random go all around his body, his lower half, upper half, face — everywhere has these lines connecting and making new lines.

Faction:

A former general of The Empire, now a neutral party. He will sometimes take part in what the Unbound Hearts are doing, but for the most part, Cerden is a guy who is neutral and only after one thing: His brother, Nomis.

Weapon:

Brother's Requiem - For weapon image, see character appearance.
Once belonging to his father and forged with magic-infused titanium, Cerden's two weapons take the form of a normal-sized sword and a short sword/long dagger. Both are identical to each other in every way and they appear to be two halves of the same weapon. The obvious difference is that one is shorter than the other. Still, that doesn't disprove the fact that they seem like to be two halves of the same thing. Cerden carries — and uses both — with great pride. It's the one thing that he can smile happily about his memories of his late father.

Powers/Abilities:

Glass Manipulation

Much like his adopted brother, Nomis, who can manipulate a special kind of metal called Taint, Cerden can manipulate glass. Some call it just a sub-power of Sand Manipulation or Earth Manipulation. Those people are correct, but Cerden can bypass the traditional means of creating glass through hardening sand. He can create glass from his own magic. He can manipulate pre-existing glass and expand it to whatever he desires. Cerden has also been known to multiply the amount of glass that he can create or manipulate. He’s even shown to be able to create constructs of glass or surround it around his weapons or even his body, which he refers to as Glass Armor. Cerden can also move the glass with his mind and even shape it to which he can ride it as if like air or water. He can also breakdown glass into shards and guide them where he desires it to go.

Cerden’s skill with Glass has been acclaimed by not only his brother, but his associates that they dare not anger him cause the amount of usage and the potency of it is all tied to his emotional state. If in a good mood, his powers are more stable and he is in control of how much goes into one attack. However, if his mood is anything but that, then all hell breaks loose. His glass becomes rough-around-the-edges, which is not a good thing considering that rough glass cuts through solid materials like it’s butter and it doesn’t leave a clean aftermath either. Usually, shit will get real bloody real fast.

Due to an accident that happened when Cerden and Nomis were in their youth, the latter brother's Taint MEtal worked its way into the influence of Cerden's Glass, which started to slowly affect the maximum potency of his glass manipulation power. At least, the way he's able to use it. Though, Cerden is not aware of this fact. As far as Cerden knows, he doesn't have full-mastery of his power. Of course, that is not the case.

Expert Tactician and Strategist

Due to his long stint in The Empire, Cerden has shown that he is able to plan ahead of his opponents, which was one of the main reasons that The Empire first got him. Of course, it was cause of what he did with his brother, Nomis, but that’s irrelevant to this specific skill of his. He’s also been very aware of what his opponent would do before they would do it and be able to come up with complex plans that would more or less ensure his victory. He can also adapt to almost every situation in the event that the original plan he set in motion doesn’t go as had set it to be.

During his time with The Empire, it was being this good at coming up with plans that he was no doubt one of their top generals, just because he had such prowess of coming up with full-proof plans. It might even be why he has a big bounty on his head cause he was such a big asset to The Empire. While that’s true, anyone he aligns himself with knows his face and they know of his abilities in this area.

Supernatural Condition

Some say that Cerden’s feats of physical prowess stems from his foster father experimenting on him or just a natural gift that he’s had since birth. Some say that he came into contact with supernatural forces somewhere down the road. Whatever it might be, it all comes to the very fact that Cerden’s physical prowess is unlike that of any normal human being or anything. His body has been forged to exceed human limits and as such, every ounce of strength, endurance, and other such things are at a level that is, quite literally, supernatural and unheard of. The range of his supernatural feats can go form being able to react faster to almost anything to being able to last longer in a fight than most. It even goes into how he fights with weapons, specifically bladed weapons. Just about everyone one can imagine that has been upgraded to the supernatural level, odds are it is.

Strong Alignment to Earth Magic

Possibly due to his Glass Manipulation power or just his overall connection to the earth, but Cerden has proven capable with Earth Magic and/or manipulating the earth with his magic. Though he seems to be not as well versed in this type as he is in Glass Manipulation, it’s still pretty high up there and he uses it quite often in battle.

Healing Magic

More of a necessity for Cerden. Since he has been on the run from The Empire, he had to learn how to heal his injuries that of which his supernatural body could not. As such, he took up healing magic. He isn’t able to heal wounds that would put him on death’s door, but he is able to use it to such a length that allows him to be out of harms way.

Bio:

Haunted by a dark past and grave mistakes he has made, Cerden tries as much as he can to fix them, which has sent him on a quest to undo said mistakes. To do that, he will have to find the one person he must fix even if it costs him his life.

Reading the post again I just thought Rika disappeared out of the room to show her speed, sorry about that, didn't realise she was using her Imperceptible ability. However looking over that power of hers, it says its natural state makes her near invisible to all basic senses, while the second part, which is what I would assume the machine would use, concerns Rika's body heat. In that part it says it takes her time to lower it, in which cause it would take at least a few minutes before she could completely lose the Metal Werewolf off her trail. Of course if you and/or Soleaccord would like me to change it, that's okay.

I'd like it changed, simply because she's done nothing to make herself an open target to your pawns, and isn't drawing attention to herself. Thanks.

Well I'd say the same would have gone for the soldiers the first machines killed, the only reason they'd do what they were doing being because they're trying to kill any and everyone inside the storehouses, no matter who they're with. It's okay then, I'll change the ending part slightly.

Edit: Just changed the last little paragraph, took out the mention of Rika in it. Sorry about that SoleAccord.

It says a lot that the resident Mr Hyde is more subtle then the other rebels. And only really in the sense that he waited until authorities were busy elsewhere before going about his business in an area that no one would have really given a damn about his actions (At least no one living anyway. The victim doesn't count).

Name:
Coriander

Nickname:
Due to the nature of Coriander's very feminine appearance and voice, the people have come to know him as Cori or more eccentrically Princess Coriander

Age:
25

Gender:
Male but many around him have mistaken him to be a female

Personality:
Cori can be summed up, more or less, in one word: cool. There's a natural calmness that exudes from him, which is evident in his every day interactions with the people in his surroundings. He's confident, but never arrogant. He approaches everything with an open ear and never looks down at others, even when they make mistakes. Cori is an invaluable source of advice and encourages others when they're facing difficulty, preferring a person try to overcome their troubles then spoon-feeding them all the answers. This makes him quite approachable in conversation and can often be seen talking to members of the Unbound Hearts.

He possesses a keen intellect, not just in scholarly subjects, but in analyzing opponents and figuring out attack patterns. Even during difficult times, he remains relaxed and even-tempered. When fighting, he never shows signs of distress or worry. Instead, he remains focused on the task at hand. His patience allows him to gradually wear down an opponent until he finds his opening to counter attack. These traits make him a formidable opponent. Of all the members within the resistance, Cori possesses the most self-control when it comes to fighting. He doesn't immediately jump into battles and prefers to talk to his opponents before engaging in combat, seeing if he can find a peaceful resolution through conversation.

When performing, he typically enters a form of trance. He described it at as having the world muted and only his music can be heard. He feels the beat in his chest and lets his hands take control. Coriander stated that it is his main passion has always been music and has spent a life learning as much about the guitar as he can. Though he's admitted that the bass guitar is the instrument that really helps him express his true feelings.

Faction:
Unbound Hearts

Weapon:
Zeydra - A unique weapon of essence that has existed within Cori’s bloodline since the beginning. It takes the form of a longsword, with a blade composed of pure magical energy. Being made of the same energy as the rest of the blade, the guard has the notable potential to stop the foe's blade from sliding down and slicing through the hilt, and by proxy Cori’s hands. The rest of the blade is coloured a pure gold; with a sparkling emerald gem embedded within the hilt. The unique way that the longsword was forged enhances the power of the sword by converting the user’s essence into intense heat that is able to melt or “cut” through materials, cauterizing any wounds it imposes.

Powers/Abilities:
Sword Magic (剣の魔法, Ken no Mahō): Sword Magic is Cori's only known branch of offensive magic, the rest being supplementary. It is Magic which, as the name itself suggests, is focused around the use of swords, with those weapons acting as mediums for Cori to perform particular attacks. Many of such moves are shown capable of going past the physical reach of the blade employed in their use, threatening foes at short-to-mid range. Some Sword Magic techniques seem to involve the use of elements commonly found employed by elemental forms of Magic, such as Fire Magic; in addition, an unnamed version of Telekinesis is shown to be frequently employed alongside it, in order for Cori to maneuver several swords at the same time in his Hundred Sword Style. In some cases, certain moves might even involve the change of the sword's properties, such as its length. Specializing in using his Zeydra for combat, Cori trained in the use of Sword Magic, however, not all of the magic he uses with Sword Magic necessarily stems from Zeydra, due to the fact that much of his brand of Sword Magic seems to create swords in a manner similar to Zeydra, and favors quantity over quality.

The Hundred One-Sword Style (百一刀流, Hyaku Ittōryū): The Hundred One-Sword Style is perhaps the most peculiar style of swordfighting that has quite possibly ever been shown. Rather than using just one sword, Cori utilizes a hundred swords which are materialized through his own magical aura and then shaped in the form of the replica of his Zeydra which are then scattered around the battlefield. With this, Cori unleashes a plethora of techniques, making use of a single sword, or even many swords simultaneously. Because of the hundreds of blades scattered around the battlefield Cori almost always has a sword in hand, or multiple swords ready for use. He uses these replicas of Zeydra for various purposes beyond just regular melee attacking, such as using them as projectiles, paths to walk on, stakes to prevent his opponent's movements, and also use for unleashing multiple simultaneous attacks on his foe. With the power of the Hundred One-Sword Style and his speed, it seems to the untrained eye that Cori can summon a multitude of ethereal swords to wipe out his opponents. The skill that Cori displays when utilizing the Hundred One-Sword Style blurs the line between the physical and the mystical, conjuring mighty dragons born of blades to descend upon his opponents, or erecting barriers of blades to shield himself. At times, Cori, when utilizing the Hundred One-Sword Style, almost appears as if he has telekinesis, as he is able to make his Swords float in midair, stick to his opponents, etc. This isn't a supernatural power, but a natural property of the style; as otherwise, utilizing the Hundred One-Sword Style would be heavily impractical.

Incantation: I am the bone of my sword
Steel is my body and fire is my blood
I have created over a thousand blades
Unaware of loss, Nor aware of gain
Withstood pain to create weapons, waiting for one’s arrival
I have no regrets. This is the only path
My whole life was unlimited blade works

Acrobat: Due to Cori's natural high speeds, Cori is highly acrobatic, agile, and an experienced athlete, capable of gracefully leaping over many obstacles that comes in his way and performing various forms of nimble movements. He has as well radical reaction time to match his movements. Cori's agility, balance, and bodily coordination are all at levels to match some of the finest human athletes. Cori is extraordinarily limber and his tendons and connective tissues are twice as elastic as the average human being's, lowering his physical strength in the process . He has the combined agility and acrobatic prowess of the most accomplished circus aerialists and acrobats. He can also perform many complicated sequences of gymnastic stunts such as flips, rolls, and springs.

Master Swordsman: Cori has trained in the arts of swordmanship from a very young age and is considered to be a skilled swordsman. He is a master swordsman, capable of good precision and lethal attacks, attempting to put no effort behind his attacks. The greatest strength of his swordsmanship is his ability to adapt to varying situations and he has trained himself to become ambidextrous so as to make himself more versatile. His fighting style consists of graceful and quick movements. Not one to make use of pure brute force, he tries to deal accurate blows and perform quick maneuvers

Earth Sensing: Earth Sensing is a unique sensory magic developed by his brother Alexander and mastered by Coriander. The user's connection to magic allowed them to use a unique ability of seismic sense: they can use magic to "feel" even the most minute vibrations in the earth, including the march of ants several meters away and the presence of trees and buildings. Through this heightened seismic sense, users can visualize where people are, their relative distance to them, and their physical build. Earth Sensing revolves around three core virtues, Weight Distribution, Vibrations, and Depth Perception sometimes referred to as Hollow Measurement. It's weakness being attacks which hold no contact to earth as well as earth which is not compacted such as Sand and Gravel. Coriander's use of his Earth Sensing allows him to even feel a constant pulse and heartbeat of those around, making it nearly impossible to lie.

Bio:
For now, Cori has acted in the best interest of the Unbound Hearts whilst striking at the encroaching darkness that looms from the Empire. He stands as a testament to the strength and resolve of the people that fight for hope. Unfortunately his life before joining is soon to catch up with him
