If you're going to post anything that you think is crudely hilarious, will annoy and offend people, tweak the man's nose and otherwise be inflammatory, especially if it's sexual content or whatever, be aware of the fact that Adsense is funding this site. Google doesn't hate. Google doesn't get mad. Google just yanks funding for your free entertainment. The people at Google that do this have probably seen far worse and are not impressed.
I'm not here to rehash the old history of how, why and so forth except to say it happened once. And now we've got Adsense back which greatly increases the Guild's financial stability (though it's probably taken a hit since the demise of the Old Guild if only because we might have lost some traffic overall.) How? It means mahz ain't paying out of pocket.
Now that we have ad revenue back, I'm begging people to please post with a sense of responsibility toward the site. This doesn't hurt just you or just a couple people you don't like, it can sink the whole community -- we were in a pretty tough situation over the last month, and we're just crawling out of it now. Please be careful for that reason, if nothing else. I know it's fun to flout the rules, try to slip one by unnoticed and
stick it to the man but that behavior endangers the entire community. I'm not merely talking about Spam either -- 1x1 had a lot of stuff reported on the Old Guild right after Adsense got yanked that was definitely in violation of the rules, cybersex and all. The mods might not see it, and they didn't until it was too late last time, but Google is always working on the programs that sniff out content they deem unacceptable for their Adsense program on a professional basis -- very smart people paid to make the system work even better.

It boils down to us, the individual users, to use our discretion and avoid putting the Guild into that position again. Hopefully, we can do that.
