(Fair warning, it's Mayan mythology but a bit construed to fit my idea... aka, additional gods that don't actually exist, relationships between gods that may or may not exist, etc. If that bothers you, don't read this. xD)

Dear Future Self,

The Fates be damned, Nox is at it again! Only this time, he's packing heat. Normally, I would never write to my future self, but I feel the need in this present moment. Because I believe that soon my soul will be gone from this celestial body, a new one to take it's place.

So, this is why I write to you, new celestial being. To explain and to guide. My name is Ixchel, the Moon Goddess. Nox, a brother of mine, has been cast from our family for generations now. He'd done something rather trival but lied about it and therefore garnered the wrath of our father, Ah Kinchil. Centuries later, he returns, but with Mars and Bellona, the God and Goddess of War from the Romans and all of their armies.

Even now, as I write this, my brothers and sisters are dying. But... I won't let my brother have his way. Our family will live on.

I've managed to make contact with Pluto, the Roman God of Death, our own having been killed already and he has promised me that myself and my brothers and sisters will be reborn as new gods. There is, however, one catch. In order to do so, they will all be born as humans until they realize their true selves.

My time grows short, new soul. I hope you find my brothers and sisters and share with them what I have shared with you. Take on the task of finding them and guiding them to their true self as I hope I am doing for you.

Hello, hello and thank you for reading! I've been on a God/Goddess binge as of late and have been overflowing with ideas (Sort of...). This idea was first meant to be a 1x1 but then I noticed how... large it could end up being so I first want to try and see if I can get a small group of people interested in this.

Basically, the Mayan Gods and Goddesses have been murdered by their fellow God, Nox. (Nox doesn't actually exist, but for the sake of this RP, he's the corrupt one.) Seeing their demise, Ixchel takes it upon herself to call on Pluto, the Roman God of Death to bring her brothers and sisters and herself back from the dead. He agrees, but with a price. All of the gods and goddesses that have been reborn, are reborn as humans until they realize their true self. This can mean many things. It may mean that they need to truly realize they are gods, or it could be seen as 'finding yourself' or 'creating yourself.' Basically, whenever the characters come to terms with who they are and are fairly developed as characters. That sort of thing. It's one of our goals in the RP.

Also, Nox is by no means gone. Once they realize their powers and who they are, it's time for them to go up and take on Nox and finish this mess he's made.

So, Ixchel's reborn soul (Who is NOT Ixchel, but a completely NEW deity as all the characters will be. They will have a former God/Goddess, but in that of themselves will be NEW souls.) is raised in an orphanage with a strange letter that no one can manage to open that she arrived with. When she turned 18, she gets an itch to try and open the letter again. And... what do you know, it opens, revealing the letter to her. She goes through a bit of turmoil but decides to do what Ixchel wants her to do and attempts to find the others. How she plans on doing that, however... She doesn't know.

In truth, the letter was sealed with a certain level of Ixchel's powers, which allow her reborn soul to see the underlying 'celestial' powers of the humans.

5) Usual RPGuild rules. Fade to black, no goddmodding. You should be used to it. If you're new to the site, just PM me and I'll let you know the 'what not to do's.
6) GM has the right to change the rules anytime they see fit.
7) Inactive characters will be removed from the listing after two weeks of inactivity. You may re-submit a character sheet for that character if you can provide a reasoning for their absence or you could make a completely new CS(It can be the same character).

If people don't take some of the more prominent gods, I will make characters for them and make them into NPCs. The only characters I will play will be Ixchel and Itzamn(I play him mostly because he's.. kind of... the supreme diety. And I don't want just anyone to play him.

Previous God/Goddess: Ixchel, the Mayan Moon Goddess

Personality: Nel, or Anne as some like to call her, is a very straight forward person. She is very forward thinking and likes to think things through before she goes through with them. She is generally a quiet person but will open up once she gets to know someone. She does not lie, preferring to tell people the cold, hard truth instead of skating around it. She loathes fluff and prefers to get right down to business. Also, as it so happens, she is also very loyal towards those she considers 'friend.'

Bio/History: Nel grew up in an orphanage. The caretakers were often afraid of her considering how serious she was for a mere child. She hardly ever played with the other kids, instead staying by herself in the piano room, quietly playing and studying by herself. The letter was also another thing that set the old ladies off. They couldn't understand it or why it was attached to her.

When she was 18, the letter opened and Nel's world changed. Not only was she being kicked out of the orphanage, she was also being thrust into a world she didn't understand. She would have ignored or burned the letter, but something inside of her told her not to. As if a part of her was trying to convince her it was all true. Whether or not it was, Nel went about her life as she would normally. She got a job, an apartment and decided to spend her last senior year in a public high school. What she didn't expect were the people she would find there.

Personality: Ian is a pretty laid back kind of guy. He doesn't like stressful things and he tends to stray from people who are a bit too serious. He likes having fun and sometimes that means making fun of his friends. He does it all in good fun, however, and is generally a nice guy. Still, he's not one for taking crap. He also doesn't think Nox is even a real god. It's kind of dumb name anyway.

Bio/History: There isn't too much to say about Ian's past. He's been living in America with his parents until recently when he decided to move out and try his hand at life on his own. He still goes to school, but lives in apartment by himself and works for his living. He still gets an allowance from his parents but he mostly puts it away into a savings account.

Personality: Quiet, intelligent and kind to others, however he can get extremely annoyed or angry if someone hurts an animal or plant.
Bio/History: Theodore was re-incarnated as the child of David and Emily Caza. David was a farmer and Emily was an eco-activist. They lived in the countryside, and the family was quite well off on money, they weren't poor or rich, they were somewhat in between the two. Their house and barn was on the edge of a small hamlet of houses. Everyone in the hamlet knew each other. It was large for a hamlet, there was a small grocery store and a small school.

Theodore, for as much as he could remember, always had felt a strange connection to the animals and plants around him. As a toddler, he would be playing outside, and small mammals, birds and insects would congregate around him. A few times, he would drop something, only to have a small bird fly down and put it back into his hand. If he was walking through a field, sometimes the grass and leaves would twitch when he walked by. His parents noticed this, and were just as confused as him.

Theodore started at the small school at age 4. He was discovered to be quite bright and did quite well in all subjects, but the one he excelled in was science. As one topic they did animals and plants, and Theodore seemed to know every single one of the answers, he named obscure animals that a boy of his age should never had heard of. He was always very quiet, and had a close circle of friends among him. His friends knew never to hurt an animal or pick a flower or grass when Theodore was around, though.

When he finished at Hamlet school, it was a tough decision for Theodore's parents. The nearest school was over 10 miles away from the small hamlet. It was a decision faced by almost all of the parents that lived in the hamlet. Most of them came to one decision. Homeschooling. For the next 7 years, Theodore received his education by his parents at home. He took the curriculum tests, did homework set at home at home to be handed in at home (try saying that 5 times fast) and still saw his old friends, who had been home-schooled as well.

Once he finished home-schooling, Theodore decided that he had to leave and go to a big city. He said goodbye to his parents and packed his bags, then left on his bike, to go the the city.

I'd prefer we stick with Mayan gods but if you want to make up a Mayan god to fit into the Mayan mythology then go for it. I can't really stop you since I made Nox. Just make a brief discription of what the purpose of him/her is. I think I'm going to make a Mayan gods cheat sheet later today when I get back to my comp as I'm on my phone right now. So if you want to wait for that, cool. If not, that's cool too.
