It is a time of darkness in the galaxy as the Imperial War machine works relentlessly
in order to extinguish any and all sparks of Rebellion.

The fledgling Rebel Alliance has seen its chance at gaining a much needed income
through the remote mining world of Belona, a seemingly defenseless world.
They have focused the efforts of their Venator Star Destroyer the Endeavor
to secure the planet in the name of the Alliance to Restore the Republic in a task
group lead by Commander Rolen Arkins. The intelligence and recon both agree
that it seems like the perfect opportunity.

However strange things go on in the deep, unmarked Imperial Transports keep
descending into the mines as there is a growing Imperial Security Bureau presence
and strange shipments are seen on the logs at the docks. All Rebel activity on the
planet is quelled immediately with a quick and deadly response.

What is going on on the planet Belona? Can the Rebels stop it?

This roleplay is set on the completely SepMade planet of Belona. Currently I am trying to find someone to make me a map so I can detail the planet. Right now I have this image. There are five settlements across one large continent, the rest of the planet is barren due to the cold climate. These five settlements each house large industrial facilities and large drill holes in the ground that dig down into the planets crust in order to extract various special and rare minerals in vast quantities. Slave and droid labour makes up a large portion of the work force.

This roleplay is set in 5BBY, in the same time frame as the new Rebels cartoon (So if they do anything major we can reference it) You can play an Imperial, Rebel or someone who can get caught in the middle and then be dragged into it.

I will be taking on the role of the Rebel Commander however the Imperial Governor is open for anyone that wants it, I will send you instructions though if you apply for this position however it is up to you how you put them into action.

Please note that conflict in this will get very "nitty gritty". Expect characters to die, to be stuck in seemingly impossible situations and for the rebels to be faced with overwhelming odds. However that is what makes it fun. Though for both sides if you do anything stupid in a combat situation be prepared to probably die.

Other rules: Follow my instructions and we'll get along fine.

Background:The son of a Imperial Admiral, Cad's family had money and having money meant he had a good life and it's true he did live the good life for a long time, eventually though when he was old enough his father pulled some strings and sent him away to the Academy of Cardia, he hated it there he didn't get what he wanted so he fought them. His first year was a total wash out and he ended up failing his first year and getting into many fights with instructors. (And getting his ass kicked by them.) Eventually though he matured and stopped fighting them and did a complete 180. His final act of defiance to his family and his father was joining the storm trooper corp at Cardia instead of the navy program.

Cad now graduated from the academy and a full blown storm trooper was attached to the 145th Airborne Division, they suffered heavy losses though after a few engagements with large rebel groups, so they were were separated and put into different units Cad was attached to the 53rd Storm Trooper Company and sent to Belona where he serves on the imperial garrison forces there.

Reason for Joining the Empire/Alliance:Fuck if i know man i suppose it's because my old man wanted me to follow in his foot steps, so i did but found a different path and i love it. Instead of sitting on my ass in some giant ass bucket, I get to look those scum bags in the eye as I take them out. I suppose my current assignment isn't much fun right now but Belona is nice as long as you don't get a shit detail.

If having a TIE Fighter/Bomber carrying out air strikes or creating air superiority is too much overkill, getting shot down and having to fight on the ground with other characters should work right? Just gimme a heads up if there's any problems with this, Sep. I'm not super-big on SW lore, but I think hope I got this right.

Background: Anya grew up on Corellia, into a nice, easy city life. As some youngsters without short leashes do, this kid had a stupid streak when the law was in question. Eventually she'd start to slice into and take speeders on joyrides for kicks when she wasn't studying, or taking a slight interest in those Imperial holo-vids in the corner of her eye. The Imperial Military looked like it might be worth an honest shot to someone without a path set out before them. Besides, when CorSec finally caught Anya in the act of hacking a shiny new speeder, there was suddenly a prison-sized wall between her and any future she might have. It was a sentence, or service in the Imperial Military... And from what she'd seen already, option #2 sounded very interesting. Becoming a respected citizen appealed to her now that she was a known criminal, and if she wasn't a citizen by the end of her service, she might be an accomplished officer if she did well and stuck with it. Anya chose Service. The Academy and the following small-scale missions would straighten her out.. to a degree. After a few sorties where hostility and battle were actually involved, Anya earned the respect of her fellow pilots through her skills behind the controls of anything that could fly and shoot. Not quite an ace, but certainly someone you could rely on to watch your back. Still, she never told anyone why she became a pilot. A criminal past didn't fly well with some of the squadron. Right now, Ensign Anya Shade and her squadron are tasked with quiet aerial patrols around Balona. Shouldn't be more than another blue milk run, ...right?
Reason for Joining the Empire/Alliance: "What can I say? I'm a patriot. The Empire is uniting this galaxy, so we can all live under one banner and prosper. Or... Alright, fine! That's what I'm used to hearing. While it's all well and good, doing my part for the Empire and all, I can't help but feel like... You know what, it's not important. We have a duty as soldiers of the Empire to crush all who would oppose a galactic peace - the end result of what we're doing is what's important."

Air superiority is okay, and this is an Imperial Planet so if you get shot down you can get a new fighter (Not in the same battle obviously). However know that a lot more elements are likely to be ground based, and being Imperial you can't switch as easily as a rebel, in fact you can't just switch. So I would either recommend having a secondary char or maybe even moving to the ground. Also if you read the OP the Imperials are currently in possession of Belona... if people can re-read the OP to see if I haven't made that clear I will fix it if necessary. You may think it odd for the Alliance to have a Venator but it has happened before.

Like your reason for being in the Empire Jake.

Will re-read in a bit. Also Corellia is a largely populated world so the chances of you going uncaught is slim. Also it doesn't quite make sense why you join the military. Perhaps you got caught at some point and then you got given a choice, the slum life or military life? Navy and pilot would of course would appeal more to your char.

You needn't worry about dominating the air (or lacking oponents in the air), I am bringing a Y-Wing pilot along. Which I shall finish the sheet for later, after I have slept.

You may know this already, if so apologies at repeating it, but one important thing for Imperial pilots is that they very rarely fly the same craft twice - every TIE is designed to be identical and no pilot customisation/attachement is permitted, enforced by rotating the craft through after every deployment - an Imperial attempt to foster thinking more as a collective and having a less individualistic approach.
Just a random semi-important tidbit of knowledge and certainly not worthy of sheet alterations for.

Background: Felix grew up on the under levels of Coruscant for the early years of his life. Growing up around poverty he quickly learned the value of a credit. His childhood was full of hard fights and getting into trouble. Felix began making money dealing in narcottics. At 18 he caught his first bounty by pure coincidence. The criminal had stumbled into a bar already drunk and bragging about the price on his head. Felix took the initiative and beat him unconcious, then taking the man to the authorities. That's when he learned there was more money in catching criminals than in being one. He used the reward money to buy some stolen Imperial weaponry and began hunting full time. Becoming well known near the age of 21, the Empire began hiring him out to help support Imperial forces in putting down insurrection. His recent mission has him travelling to the planet Belona.

Reason for Joining the Empire/Alliance: "It's just another payday for me. The Empire says 'shoot' and I shoot...... In all honesty, I work for the highest bidder, and the Emporer has some deep pockets. As long as I get paid, I don't care who I am fighting or who I am fighting for. If the Rebels had money, well maybe you'd see me with them instead. Maybe. However, it's still a suicide mission for them if you ask me."

While I don't mind you being "Well none" this shouldn't be anywhere near the level of the likes of Boba Fett, IG-88 and such. Though I presume you know that.

Also the Empire has deep pockets my friend, I doubt you have any dealings with the Emperor himself. More likely I feel it is that you will have been hired by the governor of Belona specifically or someone there which seems more plausible than being on the payroll full time. If you want there will be a contract that is an important plot point though just mention that much and when the RP starts you'll just be arriving at the planet and you'll be given more information IC if that works better for you :P

Background:
Jax was born and raised on the planet Kashyyyk. He learned to hunt, fight, and survive in the dangerous planet from an early age. He became an especially skilled marksman with a slugthrower which was more reliable and effective in the harsh jungles. His parents had settled on the planet attempting to flee the conflicts that threatened the galaxy and remain isolated. However, this backfired when the Clone Wars arrived at the planet with the arrival of Republic and Separatist forces. This only escalated with Order 66 and the rise of the Empire. Kashyyyk was occupied by the Empire, which began enslaving the local population. Jax fled the planet with his family to Alderaan, a relative safe haven from the Empire and his father joined the Rebel Alliance to fight back. Jax, upon reaching the age of twenty, also joined the Alliance and has served with it for half a decade.

Reason for joining the Alliance:
Jax's decision to join the rebels was fueled by the occupation of his home world by the Empire and the atrocities being committed there. He completely hates the Empire, and after his father joined the rebellion, Jax couldn't wait to get in line to kill some Imperials along with him.

There will be a specific mission later on for you however you may not have been told that at hte point of heading towards Belona. Also what I meant by the first part is I don't mind him being famous I just mean he isn't likely to be intergalactically famous as in everyone everywhere knowing he is.

You can probably expect some people on the planet to know you but not as many as you would if you were one of these bigger guys.
