ACCEPTED APPS:
Name: Robert Morris
Gender: male
Age: 23
Species: Human?
Wyvern.
Appearance: Robert's sort of fat, pale, and short at 5'7" just to make it even worse. He usually keeps his jet black hair short, and doesn't use any sort of styling anything on it. His eyes are really weird, being brown with green lines and orange spots all over them... the orange spots are hard to see unless you're really close to him, though. He typically wears plain t-shirts and ordinary pants, preferring clothes without logos, words or anything else on them. For some odd reason, Robert seems almost completely unable to grow a beard.
As a wyvern, he stands at about 6'6", is actually somewhat thin for a wyvern, and appears to have very strong wings... somehow. His grey, almost ash-like scales aren't very shiny, and aren't a common or desirable color among his kind. His bright orange eyes, on the other hand, are. His snout is of average length and width, with fangs that are just a little bit disproportionately large... enough so that they stick out even when his 'mouth' is closed. His claws are a little short for his kind, and his tail is probably a bit too long. The scales on his underbelly are actually, pretty much opposite from any other demon, pearly white rather than either black or red and his wing membrane happens to match this color, which, again, doesn't look great to another wyvern. The horns on the back of his head are somewhat long, and about as straight as possible... which isn't exactly what other wyverns would consider 'handsome'... not that he cares.
Bio: Robert has always had a pretty normal, average life... well, save for the fact that he ends up moving to a new state every single year. Every year, either his mom or his dad would find some sort of work in some other state, meaning that every year, he'd have to pretty much forget the friends he had, and try to start again. Of course, this also meant that he was perpetually 'the new kid', and was never very popular in school. Eventually, he learned to stop caring about popularity, and at that moment, it almost felt as if a giant weight was lifted off of his back. Sure, the kids would still pick on him, and sure, he still got bullied... but that was temporary. The kids stopped picking on him as soon as he laughed at their jokes, and the bullies generally stopped bullying him as soon as they figured out that he actually fought back. Of course, as soon as it stopped, they'd move again and start the whole thing all over again. By the end of high school he'd already been to Nevada, California, Oregon, Rhode Island, Texas, Idaho, New Jersey, Colorado, Kentucky, Mississippi, Louisiana, and Indiana... and he was kind of sick of moving by that time. He finally moved out of his parents' house, and almost instantly started taking college classes... online. There weren't any decent universities nearby, at least, none that had any classes that he actually wanted to take. It took a while, but eventually, he found a good online university.
Robert was trying to learn more about video games, and, of course, as a result of that, programming. He was a fairly quick learner, and seemed to take on the subject with ease. Where others took days to complete their homework, it only took Robert hours, and, of course, the homework was still pretty much perfect. The first few years were easy as a result of this, and he aced every class he took, however, he eventually started to get a little too comfortable, and he started putting less effort into his homework, thinking that it'll still be great, however, his grades started to drop, that is, until he figured out that yeah, he's good at this, but he still has to actually put effort into his work in order for it to be good. He ended up coasting on C's for that set of classes, and when the harder classes came around, he was determined, nothing could stop him. He was going to finish this off... and he did. A few problems here and there, but he made it through with B's, and got his master's degree... of course, now he had to actually find a job worth having, which wasn't actually all that easy. He searched through the newspapers, and the internet to try to find some kind of job, until just about a year ago, he found a job in Michigan, and since it was the only one of its kind for miles, it meant that Robert had to move again... which actually annoyed him to no end, and almost made him decide against taking that job.
He decided that this would be the last time he would ever have to move anywhere, and finally made it to his final home, some place in Haven Marine, just a short drive away from his new job. The day after he moved in, he went right to his new job, made sure that they knew who he was, and that they knew that he already filled out all of the paperwork online... he even had a printed copy of that stuff just in case. He started off in the graphics department, making whatever particle effects nobody else wanted to handle, and was honestly quickly growing bored of his job until he started to move up, and started to actually use the knowledge he gained at the university, as well as what was apparently a natural skill for him, and he started even making some more creative decisions about the games... of course, he never really got to make his own game. As he was climbing the corporate ladder, he noticed some strange things on his daily drive... some odd creatures that he never saw before, and some people just didn't look right, somehow. He continued his work, but may occasionally ask his coworkers about it, all of whom would either walk away, or say that they'd expect that from an outsider... were weird creatures just a part of this place? Robert's parents moved some time during all of this, and ended up across the street from his home, which felt kind of awkward to him. Of course, the main issue was that after about a week they started asking him the same things he was asking his coworkers... what was this place?
extra info
Robert was apparently some sort of test... no, not the genetic kind, a test to see if it's at all possible for demons and humans to get along. Unknown to him, he was basically forced to possess a newborn, that is, as a newly-hatched wyvern. This experiment was to test out how a demon might interact with humans had he or she been essentially tricked into thinking they were one from birth. The baby was just some local family who had been wed out of pregnancy and were apparently about to move out to some other state near the west coast. It was now or never for Robert's supposed 'true' family, and while they were hesitant to give him up to this crazed experiment where they'd never see him again, they eventually did... which may or may not sour their relationship with their son when he DOES happen to return 'home'.
Powers/Abilities: None at this point, save for a few fire and lightning spells.
extra powers (usable in wyvern form)
Like most of his kind, he is very capable of flight... heck, he might even be better than average if he actually had any practice at it, given the apparent strength of his wings. He can also, like the average wyvern cast fire spells and even breathe fire, though, his darkness spells leave a lot to be desired, he can still use them. Unlike his own kind, he can actually cast lightning, and is also immune to its effects. He is highly resistant to fire, even moreso than his kind, and somewhat resistant to darkness, but not quite as resistant as the average wyvern.
Weaknesses: He's somewhat slow, and he doesn't have very good aim... he's also kinda clumsy with weapons, in general.
actual weaknesses (in wyvern form)
He's horribly weak against ice, yet, somehow not too weak, if at all, to holy spells. If he's forced to the ground, earth spells will do quite a bit of damage to him, and if you can manage to hit him with a weapon, you'll be surprised at how frail he is. As explained before, he's not too great at using darkness spells, and isn't as resistant to darkness as the rest of his kind is.
Other: Nothing to put here.
Name: Erion Letendre
Gender: Male
Age: 22
Species: Soloxial
Appearance: Erion actually has 2 forms, though he does not know about his fox form yet.
In human form he looks like an average size person. He looks like this. (insert image here)
The difference though is that his tail is smaller, hidden in his pants. He also always wear a red bandana to hide his fox ears. His eye coloring is also of a yellow coloring.
In his feral form, he looks like this: (insert another image here)
Bio: Where to start with his story… it would be complicated to go explain his beginnings completely…. So here where I will start.
Erion never knew who his parents were. As just a baby, he was left at a orphanage in Canada, a small town in the province of Quebec. As a child, at the age of 2, he always was considered a weird one. You see, instead of having normal hair, his hair was completely white. This made other kids in the orphanage laugh at him. This lasted for 3 years until one day a couple saw him, seeing how he was treated, decided to adopt him.
Things then started to look up for Erion, who was brought into a loving family, as well as having a sister now, who might have been 1 year older then him. Life continued into a better pace until he started school. He was bullied a bit, but that stopped when Erion actually beat up one of the toughest bully of the school, having moved quick as a fox and hit the guy so hard that it seemed abnormal for a guy of Erion’s age to have done that. Erion also wondering how he did it, but it happened so fast that he just knew something inside of him reacted when he was in danger.
So life continued on for Erion until he was a teenager, and that one of those mornings he woke up feeling strange. When he went to the bathroom, he was too tired to see his fox ears and the slight tail that was growing. When his parents went to the bathroom for their morning things, they freaked out, seeing how Erion had changed. Erion looked at himself more and just did not know what to say. He just did not know how this could have happened. Knowing that Erion might be subjected to scientists tests if they brought him in the hospital, they decided to try to hide his new features. Since then he had been wearing a red bandana over his ears and hid his tail in his pants, aiming on not showing anyone what he was, even if he himself did not know.
So life continued on until the age of 15, where one of the kids started to push around smaller graded students. Erion told himself he should not go and get in that business until the bigger kid went and attacked tried to attack his sister, who wanted to stop him. Erion had his blood pump inside of him as he rushed and catches the punch that the kid threw. His sisters looked surprised at Erion before hearing Erion growl like a animal and then hit the guy straight in the stomach, making the guy actually fly off into the lockers. He quickly got up, and looked at Erion.
“You…. You weirdo! He is not human! I tell you he is not human!” the kid says before running off. Erion stared at the guy before looking at his sister with a sad face.
“I…. I did not want him to hurt you.” He told his sister. The day continued by until they got back home. When at the table, his parents told him that the school called about what happened with that big kid, and Erion shook his head. He explained everything, even the fact that he felt as if he could push the kids body away. His sister and parents looked at him, and started to chuckles a bit, telling him that it was good one and his mother asked to pass the salt. Erion took it in his hands, before making it float towards his parents, who stared for a bit, his sister baffled by this. The salt then dropped in front of his mother, who just stared at Erion.
Erion was asked after that to not use his powers, knowing full well that he might get trouble for this, and was told that scientists might try and study him, and he might be stuck in a glass cell or something. So Erion stopped using his powers in front of his family, only practicing in his room…. Finding out that he could also control and create light. Each time his parents saw the light under the door, asking him to go to sleep. Life continued on like this. That is… until the day his sister was hit by a car and was in a critical state at the hospital. The day Erion went to see her, he was crying a lot, not wanting to lose her, she who always treated him well, even though he was cute with his fox ears and all.
When he arrived near her bed, he was still crying, before he placed his hands on hers, wishing that she would be alright, that she would heal. Then… a large light started to form in the room around Erion and his sister. When the light dimmed out, Erion was on the floor, breathing deeply, slowly losing consciousness and his sister’s major injuries where fully healed.
The hospital was surprised by all this, by what had happened and could not explain how this was possible. Erion’s parents quickly took Erion home, not wanting anyone to touch him or anything, worried that they would lose their little boy also.
When they got back home, Erion woke up slowly, tired as heck, asking where he was. His parents looked at him, telling him that he was home and that he should stay in his room for a couple of days, telling him that he actually exhausted himself crying over his sister, but not telling him that he actually healed her.
It took a week for his sister to come back, good as new, but Erion’s parents knew they could not stay anymore. Word would spread out about the kid that did a miracle. Erion was told to pack up, and they sold the house quickly, moving down south, knowing that it was best to get out while they still could. They then moved to Haven Marine, where Erion was told what happened and to never use his powers in public like that again. Erion knew it was best like that, but felt strange. Where did he come from…. Why was he here. Why did he have dang fox ears and a tail. And where did his powers come from. Too many questions to answer.
It had been 2 years since he moved to Haven Marine, where he had made new friends in this place, but was hearing more and more rumors about weird things happening. Erion actually though of it as something that would pass, but deep down he knew that something would have to be done. He just did not know how.
Powers/Abilities: His powers are linked to light and ether energy. He is able to move objects using his energy, able to force push a person away, as well as using his light magic to throw a light bolt and also create a flash of light to blind a target, making him able to escape from danger or use it in a fight. He can also use that light to heal injuries. He also is resistant to ice and water spells, and immune to light attacks.
Weaknesses: He is weak to fire, having difficulty with too much heat. Fire actually makes him uneasy. Also lightning makes him unable to use his magic for usually a couple of seconds.
Other: He does not know why he has his fox ears and his tail.
Name: Noctis Voidsong (goes by Darius Blackwood when in human form)
Gender: male
Age: appears to be 25 y/o
Species: Wyvern
Appearance: Darius would seem to most people to be a well-built, albeit lean young adult, standing at 5'8" with short-cropped ebony hair that betrayed a slight tint of red under the sunlight. His face is strong and defined, his angular jaw and neatly shaved stubble accentuating his proud patrician looks. Piercing eyes of the brightest azure gaze out intently from arching eyebrows, not dissimilar from the looks of a raptor as it would gaze from its high perch and view the world below it insouciantly.
Similar to his well groomed human appearance, Noctis would be considered handsome for one of his kind; his lustrous, stygian black scales which uniformly covers the whole length of his sleek body coruscates with an inner fiery red when caught by light whilst his eyes seem to gleam a bright hue of azure, a particularly uncommon trait among wyverns. His wings, although as dark as midnight if seen from above, shows a faint network of ivory and sanguine if seen from below with a trio of short claws protruding from each wrist joint. No horns, barbs or spikes adorn his back or head, a particular characteristic Noctis takes pride in as he considers them to be distastefully ugly. Instead, a series of small nubs festoon his spine all the way to his elegant, spikeless tail. He can be considered to be a rather decent sized specimen, standing at 2 meters tall and close to 6 meters long with a wingspan of nearly 5 meters.
Bio:
Darius Blackwood is the sole up and coming heir of Blackwood Industries, an international organization based in Florida with offices in Ohio, California and New York with various subsidiaries around the world. Blackwood Industries was founded in 1998 by his grandfather, Gerald Blackwood and started off as a small time business that dealt in furniture. However, a series of unfortunate incidents took place that almost left the company bankrupt, which Gerald found out very much later on was due to sabotage from rival companies as well as from betrayal most foul; his various business partners were blackmailed and coerced by his own brother, who had joined a venture with his bitter rival, to abandon him when he needed their help the most. Gerald fell into great despair upon discovery of own brother's treachery and swore vengeance by whatever means necessary.
What happened next, no one knew for sure but the company not only managed to pull through the crisis, but also managed to buy over and eliminate their competitors and rivals in one fell swoop. A day after that, Gerald's brother was found brutally killed, the corpse so badly mauled with such horrible wounds that it took a dental record and a DNA test to verify the identity of the corpse. The police chalked it up as a wild beast attack due to the claw and bite marks, regardless of having found the corpse inside the victim's house with no signs of break in or any signs of wild animals nearby as there were no other evidence that would point to a murder or anything logical at that point, despite Gerald's strong motive for killing his brother. The case went cold as quickly and was considered closed.
But still, rumors abound about whole sordid affair, many whispering in hushed tones behind Gerald's back that he made a deal with the devil. Some even claim that they heard macabre, inhuman cries coming from the Blackwood estate at night whilst others say that they faintly heard flapping noises not unlike those of great winged creatures and felt the rush of wind as they flew by. One woman who profess to be an ex-maid who worked in the Blackwood manor said they she once chanced upon Gerald sitting in one of the lesser used rooms, with several ill-lit candles dotting the floor which had a symbol drawn upon it in a red substance she deduced to be blood, seeing the mangled bodies of several smaller animals piled up in a corner of the room like a bunch of torn-up stuffed toys. She also insists that she heard Gerald chanting in low, monotonous tones which brought a chill down her spine when she heard him and is very much convinced that the master of the house was involved in demon worship or the occult. No one would believe her however, with her known habit of being overly-friendly with the rum bottle and her delusions that came and went with her drunken haze. Yet, the truth of it all was more or less there. It was true that Gerald Blackwood did perform a pact, but it wasn't with a devil. He made a pact with a wyvern, a demonic entity that resembled a dragon. His diary did not state how he came to meet with the wyvern, only of the blood pact that tied both of their families together: every male born into the Blackwood family would be possessed by a wyvern of the Noctis familia upon reaching the age of 12 until death and in return, the Blackwood family would forever be protected by the wyverns of the Noctis familia. As such, the Blackwood family enjoyed a life of great abundance and wealth by sacrificing the freedom of their sons, with Gerald being the first to be possessed, followed by Darius's father and his 2 younger brothers, and once he reached 12, Darius himself. In fact, before he was possessed, Darius had always thought there was something weird about his family, but it was a strangeness that enthralled and excited him. Even when he was young, he always that felt that he was destined for greater things and when the time came for him to be possessed, he accepted the foreign intrusion with open arms.
====
Noctis Voidsong was rather pleased with possessing Darius. They were both proud to the point where it borderlines arrogance, ambitious, vain, fiercely independent, cunning, observant, highly capable and command great leadership skills; all the attributes needed to be a leader, one that Blackwood Industries would need. He had grown up splendidly within Darius even as Darius himself grew to be a magnificent human being. Now at the age of 25, Noctis is very well acquainted with the human world and its workings and is all set to take the world by storm once his father steps down from his position as president of Blackwood Industries. Imagine his horror when his father sent him to a backwater city called Haven Marine to, as his father so succinctly said, 'explore any opportunities that might present themselves as well as to settle any situations that might prove to be a hindrance to the company's well-being'. Except that Noctis actually understood it as what it really was; his father viewed his rising popularity within the company ranks as a danger to his position and unwilling to relinquish his current position so soon, sent him away to a remote branch so as to minimize his influence and power.
Powers/Abilities:
Darius is more or less similar to Noctis, having great eyesight and dexterity as well as speed and quick reflexes. His magical ability is rather limited, unable to create fire, wind or darkness of his own and can only control an existing flame, breeze or shadow.
As with most wyverns, Noctis has excellent eyesight and flight skills, comparable to those of raptors. He also has a slight control over minor wind magics which he uses to great effect when flying. Noctis is also rather resistant to most kinds of toxins, his body being able to store and secrete any toxins consumed. From subcutaneous glands all over his body, Noctis is able to produce a highly flammable, slimy substance that is mildly toxic in nature which can cause hallucinogenic effects when evaporated and breathed in. With the aid of this flammable slime, Noctis is able to produce great explosions of fire by simply using his tail to flick the formed slime at his target before igniting it. If the target is able to resist the fiery explosion, Noctis would then sing, (not with words, mind you, just merely sound) lacing his voice with faint traces of fire, darkness, and wind magic to lull the target into slumber before attacking with fang and claws or escaping. (hallucinogenic vapour + illusion from fire/darkness + wind magic = sleep)
Weaknesses:
Despite having a seemingly well-built body, (he likes to keep his body in shape and takes great care in and pride in it) Darius's body is rather prone to injury, to the point where he would get paper cuts when handling paperwork. The last time he was involved in an accident, a younger kid on a skateboard had knocked into him when his attention was somewhere else and the blow had broke one rib and bruised several others.
As with most creatures of demonic origin, Noctis is vulnerable to ice and holy magic. He is also vulnerable to dehydration and blood loss when he overuses his flammable slime. His body which is built for flight is highly susceptible to damage and would be easily ruined if hit by a strong force. His singing also tends to leave him exposed to danger as it takes some time for his voice and magic to take effect and if the target has a high magic resistance/doesn't breathe/can't hear/a combination of either 3, his life would be endangered. Singing also takes a toll on him, as he cannot draw breath once he starts least he breaks the spell and the target only continues to sleep if he continues to sing, most taking about 20-30 seconds to wake up once he stops singing.
Other: -none so far-
Name: Miles "Hi-Jack" Hall
Gender: Male
Age: 29 (should be 30 soon)
Species: Roc
Appearance: Contemporary man wearing a white polo shirt, which Miles wears underneath his sleeved, crossed blue and red-stripped long-sleeved shirt. His black hair is slightly ruffled, though he does keep it tidy more or less. His dark-olive cargo pants are quite empty, although he does still carry things around. Miles wears rather plain black shoes, which he's had since beginning work as an officer. Numerous scars are present on his chest and arms, as well as several burn marks on his legs. Average size, though at times he seems shorter. His face gives off a feeling of security yet suspicion, looking well and rather defensive. Could be mistaken to have served in something more than the police. Miles seemingly keeps to himself, although that appearance disappears once talked to.
As a Roc, he looks rather... menacing. While his sharp hawk face is at times offset by his beak, it can add to his appearance at different angles... such as looking at him directly. Don't do that. He looks like a typical Roc, if not bigger and seemingly stronger. Though, oddly some of his feathers are long and spiked at the back of his head, almost like a dragon's wyvern's horns.
Bio: Detroit was nice. Contrary to the media's perception, and the government's reluctance to allow Detroit be a part of America, Miles had a great time around Detroit. His father was a rather successful businessman, hampered by financial difficulties of the 80's and high crime rates. While Miles would unfortunately never get to bond with his father, at least he had his mother... more or less.
His mother was often broke and drunk, sometimes threatening him in her drunken stupors while living off Miles' father. His father would step in occasionally, but he couldn't just leave business meetings to tend for his son. So, because of this, Miles had taken a liking to crime and the dark side of Detroit, gaining notoriety as the kid who hijacked a car and ran over a pair of drug dealers - he would known as 'Hi-Jack.' His gang was quite violent, but his young age and (later) friendly behaviour didn't expose him to the true side of his gang. One day, convincing a couple of his new friends in his gang, they all went to his house for a bit of fun and to hang out. Miles didn't expect his mother to die, just by freaking out at all the delinquents in her house. To this day, no one knows how she truly died. While Miles knows what happened, he keeps this memory to himself - repressed even. As far as he's, his mother had a heart attack just by looking at him, because she was that disappointed in him.
So, his father had to leave work and take breaks to care for Miles. He was on a benefit at this point, supported only by colleagues who took pity on him. Miles unexpectedly became disgusted by Detroit, wishing how he was never involved with gangs. Because, one day, his house was nearly burnt down by a rival gang. The media made a fuss about it, talking about crime yet not highlighting the perils of life for Miles... he had lost his mother, and his father was crippled while saving him from the fire. He was basically alone at this point. His father couldn't work anymore, their house was now a run-down apartment belonging to his gang, and their riches was history. Miles would still hang out with his gang, but not as often and sometimes left them all early at meetings
Grades were bad, if not non-existent as Miles often didn't go to school. Encouraged by his father and determined to turn his life around, he decided to finally go to school, picking up - surprisingly - decent amounts of A's and B's from his teachers. Bullies often got harassed outside of school, if not disappear altogether for a couple of days. Heck, he became a bully himself, though that stopped once his nose got broken by a book. Determination and support from his father helped him graduate, although he spent his days after high school supporting his father. While wondering for a future job, he had already found interest working for the law. Though ironic, at least the law interested him - science and those other jobs never really got into his head. His father - now terminally ill at this point - warned him about the dangers of his interests, but Miles somewhat convinced him that it was the only thing he would likely be good at.
His father died six months later. Miles' father passed down several wise words, telling him to move on from Detroit and death to live his life as a good man. Though bitter, his father did have a point, and so he tried to move on. Miles didn't rise to the top of his rank as an officer, but his (unreported) crime-laden childhood helped him break down doors and windows, stop vehicles by ramming them at different angles, shoot accurately, go undercover, backstab a couple of people, slight corruption involving pretending to be sick for an entire week, bribe a few gangsters, talk to a few gangsters, kill a few gangsters, get out a gunfight, heal from the gunfight, talk about a gunfight, threaten criminals, etc. He wasn't very tough as an officer, but being in a gang taught him a few things about criminal behaviour and their weaknesses. His disregard for order sometimes led him into trouble, with possible gang connections and disorder barely quashed by the courts. Miles still lived in the old apartment, although his gang had dissolved at that point - he led a failed raid in which five officers were injured. During the operation, he confronted his former friend and now leader of the gang, telling him to flee to somewhere like Cuba so that he wouldn't have to shoot him. The gang had dissolved as he fled, leaving Miles on his own. While the court never prosecuted Miles (they were bribed by 'someone'), his police force held him with suspicion and never trusted him again. He was assigned a desk job following his crazy years.
Eventually, Miles decided to take a break from law enforcement. Miles had already suffered at least four gun shot wounds, and several fractures in his 4 years. He knew his life was too dangerous, nearly dying numerous times as a child and in law enforcement. To add to that, a friend he made in the police force was killed during a routine patrol, highlighting the dangers of his job. He never really liked his job (for obvious reasons), and ended up quitting from the police force. Celebrations were short-lived, as almost no one liked him anymore. Bitter that nothing was left in Detroit for him, he packed his bags and hit the road, driving and never looking back at his old days. Everything he had done seemed like a mistake once he settled down, stopping by a lake town known as 'Haven Marine.' It was quiet and mysterious, but certainly better than working in Detroit. Non-stop action was soon replaced by peace, with Miles confining himself to a small, two-story cabin by the lake. Oddly enough, the housing around Haven Marine was cheaper than that of Detroit... it made him suspicious, as not only could he afford it without a mortgage, but he began hearing of strange stories in Haven Marine. Out of curiousity, he had considered working for Haven Marine's police force several times.
Perhaps, they were simply demons of his past. Maybe they were real demons for sure.
Powers/Abilities: Street Smarts - Don't expect to double-cross Miles without as so much as suspicion. He also happens to be able to navigate urban areas with ease, as well as performing... less lawful acts, such as hijacking a car, making explosives, etc. This unfortunately had him at odds with his own colleagues, however.
Former Law Enforcer - He's got experience working with the police. 'Nuff said.
Boston Bashin' Detroit Damnin' - As a huge bird armed with talons and experience of reality, he's gonna be quite painful when he can touch you. Even not as a bird, you'll probably get a fracture or two.
Weaknesses: Broken Childhood - If one is to know about his childhood, one can quickly put Miles off-guard. Only problem is that's what made him stronger, and consequently you don't want to piss him off through that.
Questionable Ethics - While you expect Miles to have at least some code of conduct, he doesn't exactly stick to this - he's willing to get his own colleagues killed just to save several others. Though, he will hurt if such things happen.
Ether Magic or Fighting - He's not very good with magic. As human, he's slightly below average. As a Roc, he'll probably just hide his rune stones.

(insert pic here)
Bio:
Alvar is a Traveling Scholar, aspiring to become both a great thinker and a master of a magic - Sage.
When almost all kids were playful spirits and always stayed outside, he was different. Alvar was a loner, didn't liking anyone's presence, he had no fun in these kinds of activities, always opting for a book. But these were never a mere storybooks. These were books that told about Legends and heroes, as well as books detailing anatomy, chemical reactions, geography, physics, other races, cultures, different theories, and even magic - How is it weaved, and how you can manipulate it. His eyes were shining like illuminated sapphires. Since then he vowed to travel the world and learn everything his mind could handle. To become a legend among his race, and maybe among all living things.
He joined the school at age of 8 - Two years younger than any other student. He passed the test without a problem and soon joined First class. Year after it wasn't so bright, that's when problems started. His father studied hard. He wasn't as gifted as his son, and he consumed a lot of money for that cause. Financial situation of family was greatly below average. There was barely enough money to cover school expenses for both Alvar and his dad and for food. Mother worked sometimes sixteen hours, coming back home she had some food and then often collapsed from exhaustion. Soon she fallen ill and couldn't work, giving another problem - medical bills. Alvar was starving. He couldn't sometimes concentrate or stay awake. To add things up, he was often bullied by older ones from his class. teachers as well as headmaster helped him out by funding him meals and supported family.
But one day changed the life forever. His father undergone a test - Trial of Learning. Should he pass it, the whole situation would change. Alvar crossed his fingers as hard as he could. But father gave no signs of life. Everyone were worried, and people started to cruelly say, that he never had a chance to become one. When all hope was lost and boy was sad, events taken other turn - His father stepped out of portal with a Mystic Seal, but soon collapsed. He passed the test and was welcomed amongst Elite ranks of Royal Scholarly. Since then, situation got better. Family could repay the debts, afford the medication and purchase of good quality books and various equipment, as well as best studies for Alvar. 5 years later greatest thing just happened. Now 15 years old Alvar's devotion to study and learning earned him a title of "Prodigious Scholar" - A title only few got in the whole history of Rahjani. Ruler wanted to keep Alvar in the country, as his mind would prove useful in research.
But Alvar wanted other Destiny. At age of 12 he began to secretly practice magic with headmaster and few Oracles, who seen great potential in his ever expanding mind. He undergone various tests- How fast he could weave Ether on apprentice level, how fast he could distort it and taint it with other elements. His first tries weren't greatest, but he had potential of 20 years old Rahjani. He kept practicing casting spells by various methods. Drawing Ether to himself with deep concentration, singing, usage of enchanted instruments, drawing Glyphs and Sigils, chanting various Incantations and Mantras, performing various gestures, and even using words in other language. It took him long, but he decided to use a mixture of them all. Oracles were pleased with results. They gifted him with small, runic pouch to carry different things such as Crystal Dusts, little instruments and magical essences. Soon without a problem he was able to cast few basics spells. With that he prepared for what could happen in five years.
At age of 17 he stood before the Ruler of the city... But no longer he was only a Scholar. He was now Prodigious Sorcerer. He turned down Leader's plea to stay in there. But the Head of the Rahjani blessed him instead. He knew what he wanted to do, and wished him luck on doing so. Alvar decided to descend upon Earth to study new things, as Heavens had no secret he didn't knew about. His expanding mind needed a new plane to increase his knowledge, test and master spells he knows, and conduct research on new ways of casting spells, newer, more powerful spells, and new catalysts to make these stronger. He was given a powerful illusion, so he resembled around 185cm tall man with tanned skin and spiky hair. Under the name of "Marco" he stepped down, and joined University in Haven Marine. In two years he quit. He learned all he could, and all teachers combined were opening their eyes wide and often sat at desks embarrassed, as he led lessons himself, telling the facts even they didn't knew and simply teaching the teachers. He disappeared then without a sign, wandering through the streets, living from what people gave him for individual teaching.
When he reached age of 18, he was gifted with Travelling Scholar Attire Quite comfy and protective outfit, as well as a Grimoire - traditional gift for each Rahjani, A Telescopic Spear, which he could hide in the robe, and Enchanted Glasses. With those he discovered, that his keen sight amplified with right tool could allow him to learn about various details of environment and living things, as well as their weaknesses without big usage of books. Thus he learned the Piercing Sight. All the information he gathered was instantly written in Grimoire.
A month after he left university, bad omens began. people disappearing, various unnatural things happening... Alvar set out to discover the cause. His heart beating with excitement. More knowledge to gather and a polygon to test the magics he wielded, though each time when he thought about it, he knew he would be risking his own life and existence. Nevertheless it was set...
Powers/Abilities:
Abilty - Piercing Sight : Requires Glasses. Looks at enemy with his keen eyes through enchanted glasses. Draws an Ethereal Sigil in the air. Enemy takes little Ether damage, while sigil shows information about him/her and adds one temporary weakness to element they normally resist. Next physical strike deals bonus damage and ignores protections. Sigil shows information in Rajhani language - Only heavenly can read it. With further progression of story everyone will be able to read it, and it will be written automatically in his grimoire.
As Each Rahjani he can levitate. But his power allows to do it indefinitely, although he can raise off the ground up to 1,5m.
Additionally he can cast basic Ether, Holy and Earth spells :
Ether Pulse (Spherical centered blast releasing energy, which can be set off with other spell to create chain reaction)
Holy Arc (which can be extended up to 360° to hit every enemy around him)
Earthen Ball (mortar esque bolt of energy, explodes on impact with ground)
For some advanced spellcasting he uses Gem Dust stored in pouch, and with it he draws circles to allow stronger incantations. Additionaly these dusts (Especially Onyx dust) can be used as thrown weapon that deals little damage BUT suppresses magic in the target, and these can be detonated with any spell to cause various ailments.
His keen vision can't be clouded - He cannot be blinded. And he has some physical power, although not greatest, but enough to protect.
Weaknesses: As each Rahjani, he is weak against Ice and Wind. Especially when levitating, Wind can easily throw him on ground make him open for a finisher. But he can rarely manage to continue levitation, but will not be able to cast spells for a short while. He is additionally susceptible to Darkness (He had nightmares of being consumed by darkness, and it took it's toll on the body), but not as much as to other elements. It also easy to temporarily paralyze him.
Other:
Athough he was a loner, he is very sociable.
His possessions :
Scholar Robe, Scarf, Glasses, Bracelets and Anklets, Headband, Grimoire, Telescopic Spear (When folded, works as Sai), Pouch with portion of Quartz Dust x2, Onyx Dust and Ruby Dust x5, Flute
Name: Heinrich Stiglitz
Gender: Male
Age: 36
Species: Human
Appearance: (image)
Bio: Heinrich was brought to this world in an aristocratic family in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He was one of four boys birthed by the same, blonde mother they were raised by until she died. His family was undoubtedly rich with a lot of high quality clothes at their disposal and a rather luxurious home, however their lifestyle was planets behind what one would expect from people of their level. The children only wore their classy clothes at school or at home, otherwise they were solemnly ordered to dress as any other kid on the street would if they were to go out for any other reason. As a very young child, Heinrich didn't really care, nor did the rest of his siblings really. They acted as normal children and their mother was the one who handled everything involving their social life while their father stayed home and handled anything financial. Heinrich Stiglitz could never recall a single moment when Otto Stiglitz, his father, had stepped out of the house other than that one particular time. This mystified him a bit, almost comparing his dad to a kid in his school who was allergic to some things. What daddy allergic to the outside?
When Heinrich hit middle school, he had a had time integrating groups of friends, but nonetheless made a couple of niched ones here and there. He was one of the top students in his class finding most subjects ridiculously easy and quickly developed chronicle procrastination when things involved school and homework in general. Though this wasn't too uncommon in middle schools, which is why in highchool he was revealed to be more brilliant than the average kid. But then again, it wasn't anything worth a prodigy. His lack of social ability always made him appear inferior to many physically imposing or leader-like kids in school, however his elder brother was always nearby to beat the crap out of anyone who TRIED to pull anything weird on him. Heinrich had never felt weak because of this, he actually had no care in his image, even during his teen years.
As the years went by, he became more and more eccentric and barely talked to anyone other than his closer colleagues. His interests never really converged with anyone else's making conversation difficult, girls were eons away. His main interest was anything regarding science, or more precisely chemistry. He was simply fascinated by the interaction of certain molecules with others and how they could collide with an entire organism with just a few drops of select solutions. This pushed him to test ridiculous things on animals for instance during his free time, usually stealing drops of certain strong acids from his father's pharmacy and applying them on the creatures. This was also repeated with drugs and poisons, and eventually people started to complain about the masses of animal graves near the Stiglitz home. The father quickly took notice of this and realized his son wasn't much different from him in the end.
Although Heinrich already knew by the time, Otto revealed his affiliation to Nazi-Germany at the time and how he was one of the many researchers there who escaped during the downfall of the Reich. He was once a doctor, and then turned scientist. He told his son this story because he had the same sociopathic obsessions as he did at the very moment. He could see himself in his son, really. At this point on, he made sure his son had exceptional education, transferring him to prestigious universities in the United States so he could study Pharma and medicine.
Heinrich was a hard worker in the pharma domain, because it consisted a lot in what he was interested in, and did medicine in homage to his father who favored him due to their resemblances. Because of his passion for the former subject, it was easy for him to keep up with both courses, and eventually get the right diplomas for both. He kept a low profile an barely made any friends in these times, not that he couldn't, he actually had many good talks with his colleagues, but he had how own selfish goals that simply had more priority. As he got out, his father's contacts managed to get Heinrich noticed by governmental agencies who were recruiting useful minds for their jobs.
Official an forensics specialist, he was often given corpses to examine after chemical experimentation or strange deaths occurring in American soil. There were a lot of diversities in the jobs and Heinrich was free to conduct multiple experiments and use their tools, as long as he got the job done right and wrote extensive reports afterward. It would be under the government that he would finally encounter the possibility to open up one of these mystical creatures he heard about during his lifetime, but never had to chance to dive into their subject. He was confronted to what appeared to be the corpse or Soloxial, and what he found during his extensive analysis of the preserved body simply astonished him. He kept the data safely for him while he did everything in the norm for his employers. Many otherworldly creatures were set on his cold, operation table. His knowledge grew on these fascinating monsters and eventually they became an obsession.
Sooner or later, at his 30's, he dug into the many archives he had unlocked in the government's database to learn more about the life of these creatures he had opened up and had only witnessed as dead corpses. The information he acquired turn his world upside down, to the point where so many scientific problems that roamed his mind were some how solved. At the age of 33, he operated on the dead body of a harpy, and didn't perform as he usually would, oh no. She was supposed to be a test subject, something he would apply his research on. Though lacking in experience, what he could assemble regarding spells and Harpy biology, he could potentially get something working for him. Unknown to him, the spell he was applying on the body was a summoning instead of something destructive he could test on random bodies. No, he summoned one of those elementals the government had trouble handling. The elemental was forced into the Harpy's body and, in a way, possessed it. The body was initially slightly decayed and nearly impossible to work anymore. However by replacing many body parts with Angel equivalents, the brain had no more use and the new organs in the body were fulled by the elemental's own power.
The newly formed living being remained unable to talk for some time and kept being operated on over and over to get the perfect result. Eventually, Elenor Stiglitz was born. With the appearance of a human but the ability to turn into a Harpy, she was the perfect tool for Heinrich. After a year she had learned the English language and became competent without nurse, however her ability to keep conversations going as well as understanding some expressions and/or emotions was were still low.
Having pretty much "created life", he was promoted to a rank where he was free to work on his own projects in city he desired while keeping an undercover job. Haven Marine was where he was attributed by default due to his lack of care of the location he was in. His basement serves as a state of the art laboratory while his house is jointed with the pharmacy he was left to run with his newly found assistant. Nowadays he works in the pharmacy on weekdays while at night and weekends he's often seen either at his lab or receiving special packages from his "friends" back at his old job. His interest for chemical products and supernatural creatures has not died, however after being promoted he had seen a lot less of those. Though if he were to cross paths with some, he could be more than happy to take them in and "study" them against their will.
Powers/Abilities: Having acquired a decent amount of data from the American government, he was able to discover the wonderful use of spells, though his ability to use them remains rather limited.
Lightning - Shocker: A thin lightning bolt comes out of every fingertip, releasing a stream of lightning. The electricity will tense the muscles of those hit and at best burn the flesh or clothes they are wearing to a weak degree. Nonetheless it easily paralyzes when applied. However the lightning itself only lasts a few seconds before the lightning itself turns into goo all over the affected target (it doesn't turn if no target is hit). The goo is similar to jellyfish tentacles as they create rashes on flesh and spread venom in the body of victims. The poison here isn't deadly, however it will solidify certain acids running in the body and cause strong inflammations on multiple muscles on members and abdomen muscles, thus causing a large amount of pain and risk of severely damaging muscles if they are solicited too many times.
High product resistance: Being a professional in the domain and having himself immune to many of his preferred tools, his body has a higher resistance to any form of poison, drug or disease, although it doesn't make him fully immune. He also understands anything regarding such things, making him capable of quickly finding cures and new ways to apply such deadly approaches.
Astounding intelligence: Though he isn't good at certain things such as writing, he is nonetheless a brilliant man capable of brilliant things. This also applies to finding solutions and quickly figuring out tactics. However the down part would be that he's extremely selfish regarding his rather useful ideas.
Weaknesses: He's a generally weak individual with a weakness to any element as a normal people would be and he isn't specifically strong or physically apt like a trained individual either. He isn't a fighter, but more of a deceiver and a snake. He himself is easily defeated if he isn't prepared either.
Other: He doesn't officially have a faction, heck he isn't really an antagonist either due to his huge interest in how other species as well as humans with spells would behave when they ARE NOT corpses. He also has no interest in favoring certain creatures who antagonize the well-being of his research.
Name: Elenor Stiglitz
Gender: Female
Age: 3
Species: Harpy
Appearance:
When she's blending in.
When morphed back into a Harpy.
Bio: Elenor was brought up to this world on a metal plating inside a clean laboratory controlled by the American government. She couldn't recall anything from what she was before, nor really knew if she was either the corpse she appeared to be or the newly implanted conscience she was given. It was strange, all she could see was a blonde man with messy hair continuously opening her up and stitching her flesh back together. With every cut she felt more alive an in the desire to talk, but she couldn't, her body was not responding. Actually her entire body was considered dead, including her brain. How could she see? How could she feel certain things?
Doctor Heinrich Stiglitz had dared to play with tools he could barely comprehend with the poor knowledge he had scavenged from hundreds of reports. But some how he had managed to calculate the possible effects of using a spell on a body. He was really trying to see if it would blow up or be possessed by a satanic soul or whatever, but in reality something different happened. Call it an invocation, the soul of an elemental was summoned into the laboratory and latched itself into the nearest body, spreading its power in a way that allowed it to at least see through the dead harpy's eyes without giving it life. Nothing but the heart started to beat, but the brain gave no signal, the organs were not working and barely any blood functioned. Yet the heart worked, through the energy given by the mass of power that possessed the body. The elemental itself had its consciousness die as it entered the body, whether that is normal or a side effect of some sort, it was unknown at this point. This creature was like a baby that had just been born and yet was able to understand what it was hearing and already comprehended so many things.
The brain never truly worked, making it possibly the least useful organ of this body, being completely replaced by the entity living in this body. The heart was the only organ fully rejuvenated that kept the creature alive, and eventually it connected itself to all the new transplanted organs added by the doctor. Indeed, without new organs and muscles, the body would never even move, but wouldn't die either. It would be a few months until she was completely finalized and rehabilitated into every day tasks. Considering ever part of her body was new and she had to function without a brain, she did well with her first few steps. However teaching her how to fly would be too much of a task, hence the month invested into changing most of her body into a more human-like shape while retaining the ability to release her wings via her arms. After all, she had to blend in if he was ever going to test her to the fullest.
In reality, making her look human was much more of a challenge than expected. Her body would always revert to her old form and cause her tremendous pain, but eventually the morphing pattern was understood well enough that she could finally have a grasp on it. Only a year later would she finally function as if these new features on her were natural to her being. That and basic human actions were integrated. Then came the ability to fly and interact. The ability to converse with others and speak the language correctly came as fast as it would be to teach to a child, like it was meant to be. However her ability to capture and analyze emotions still require some work. As for flying, the first couple of tries were some how complete failures, however at the third try she flew like it was what she was doing all her life. This may be due to the elemental's power or simply how her species normally react to flying. It didn't take long for her to adapt to it correctly.
Then finally came her education. She was taught how to do basic medical tasks like first aid and passing correct tools during autopsies. In later times she learned the use of different medicine and how to recommend clients in the Stiglitz pharmacy what medicine would work best for them depending on their sickness. She was simply instructed to be a good worker and as expected she did it perfectly fine. What wasn't expected was her late ability to produce masses of wind and air pretty much out of nowhere. The only parallel Stiglitz could find in this would be the various spells he had studied during his stay at the government. As a Harpy, her ability to actually use spells are limited, but they act as more "physical" spells that don't require actual mastery of the element. That and they were inherited by her strange birth.
Powers/Abilities: Because of their singularity of this creature, it isn't surprising that the Wind element is already present despite having basically no training prior to gaining them. However They remain rather limited.
Paradigm Shift: This isn't as much of a spell or power as it is an artificial metamorphosis caused by multiple surgeries she has lived in the past. It pretty much allows Elenor to alternate between her human body which of about 4'11" to her harpy state of 3'4". A lot of her flesh in her body is decomposed and transferred to her arms which eventually form wings. The transformation of flesh is the reason why she loses in size. Of course as a harpy her flight is quite fast and effective, however she isn't as fast or agile as the average harpy due to her heavy modifications and her morphology changes.
Gusto - Pressure Point: An ability which only works when she appears human as it confers her superhuman strength. Or rather she's capable of releasing air pressure from the end of her members so hits appear much stronger than they normally would. It also allows her to lift much heavier weights by having the same air spell circulate through her palms and arms. It is considered passive due to it activating without her having to think about it. It is the only ability she can use in her human form.
Gusto - Pressure Wave: It can only be used when in her Harpy shape. She is naturally weak in that form, however she can release strong gusts of wind by flapping her wings in a swift and strong manner. It can be used to push away a large number of things or simply boost her speed in the air.
Artificial Blood: Though experimental, her blood is capable of holding a strong amount of drugs and poisons without actually affecting her health. This virtually makes her a robot with poison instead of blood. Heinrich uses this as a way to trap certain preys that attack his assistant.
Weaknesses: When concealed as a human she's rather slow and is unable to fly. She's also vulnerable like any human to all elements and can easily be killed if not cautious.
As a Harpy she has the regular weaknesses a creature of her species would have, as well as the fact that she's generally slower and not as efficient as the average harpy due to her body changes.
Other: The human part is basically used as a cover up so she can blend in society. However her wind attacks are still channeled strangely in that form, allowing her to fight back even when she isn't prepped for fighting. She also serves as a nurse while the doctor works.
She can easily be compared to a robot due to her monotone voice as well as her often blank stares. She never questions the doctor's orders.
