I am super satisfied with my post. Anise is totally starting to act the role that she has placed herself in. :) I doubt she's going to get any of the lanterns from this venture, but I think the first impression she's made on the elder is important.

She isn't planning on staying long enough for the Witch to bust into the scene, but we'll see how that plays out.

I came up with an idea for invisibility using light, but I don't think that Anise will think about it as it would take an understanding of physics she just doesn't have. Basically using her ability to create light to bend the light around her is the idea. Who's knows, maybe she'll think of something similar.

arty's approach to runes thus far has been 'screw the rules and physics i do what i want. this rune's less powerful if i use it? now it's more powerful. my throwing aim sucks? no, now it's gonna hit the target no matter what you don't tell me what to do. and you know what? a persimmon now works as a blade just for kicks. get dunked on.'

@Mokley post was kick ass. i just wanna verify some things in arty's scene to make sure i've got everything straight. so dude in black saw the kith and sent up a flare, calling more dudes in black, who are now approaching from unspecified directions. town defenses are down because of the black out. multiple sets of eyes, red and yellow, are looking in at the edge of town (at artemis?) promising some creepy forest monster/spirit. how close are arty and company to the dock? also dude in black hasn't seen arty, yeah? also there's a whippoorwill. or at least there sounds like one.

am i missing anything?

Sounds like you got it. The eyes at the edge of town are not necessarily looking at Artemis, but could be. The dock is pretty damn close to where Arty is -- out the alley and turn a corner and you're there. The dude in black has not seen Arty, as she is hidden behind the trash bin.

@drewccapp awesome post! I think, just to make sure what she's doing will stick, if she drew a rune on the soldiers or their armor she could apply an enchantment, or link her own power to the rune. :D

Wait, so basically the purple lantern's power is limited by the imagination? Considering my character is a writer, a fictional writer at that (if I ever mentioned that), who has quite a bit of imagination, that's actually a pretty good power for her. This will be interesting to see how it plays out.

@Momolinia32 Basically, yah! So far the violet Lantern has been used to summon an entire furnished tavern complete with hot food, as well as a small sun in the sky. You cannot create life with it, however, and you can only create one thing at a time. Once you decide to create a second thing, the first thing will disappear; nothing is permanent.
