Makoto simply nodded to the first question, but upon being invited to look into her bag, she couldn't help but stare with sparkling eyes at the weapon that lay within. It... it was a sword! A real sword! An ancestral blade, too! It no doubt contained unimaginable power! It had to if she wasn't allowed to release it! To do so in secret must mean she had discarded Order for good! The power of such a weapon... oh, it had to be great! Like...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Clang! Shik! Ting!
"Ahahahaha~!" Bellowed the corrupted warrior, parrying and cutting down her latest opponent with an effortless flick of her blade, "Weaklings, the lot of you!"
Clad in a billowing cloak, with armour blacker than the deepest recesses of a shadowy pit, the former Light warrior known as [Alias Pending] shouldered her magnificent, glimmering sword, sneering at the (conveniently bloodless) bodies before her. Her grin clearly displayed the joy she felt at defeating the minions of Order. She had clearly made the right choice to defect, but... she would be fighting alone now, clearly. There was no one else worth serving, which was just fine! It wasn't like there was anyone that could match the strength of [Alias Pending]!
"Kufufufu~ A conceited one, aren't we?" Came a drawling, mocking voice from behind the traitor. With a casual glance, [Alias Pending] saw before her... a creature of infinite beauty and majesty. A monstrosity clad in darkness itself, a kitsune that had fallen way beyond corrupt and become corruption itself. A larger-than-life scythe, blade dragging across the ground, seemed to slice away the very essence of the earth itself in all of its glorious power.
The kitsune tilted its head with a wide grin, continuing, "But unfortunately for you, my power far eclipses yours~! Do not go thinking you are anything special."
"...Heh, and who are you supposed to be?" [Alias Pending] pointed her blade towards the living darkness, who merely grinned wider.
"I, you foolish little creature," giggled the shadow fox, "...Am Nanako of the Dark!"
[Alias Pending], recognising the name, immediately bowed before her superior, "P-please, accept my apologies! I was wrong! I-I was destiend to serve under you, my lord!"
Nanako giggled maniacally, pleased with her begging. "Is that so? Then very well, I shall allow you to battle in my name. Do not dishonour me!"
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Yeah... that's how it all went down... Makoto nodded with satisfaction. It was then that she noticed Regan had already left, leaving her slightly confused. Come to think of it, she vaguely recalled someone calling to her as they quickly left, but... huh.

Well, with nothing else to do, Makoto simply headed for her own classroom, sitting in her appointed seat, and immediately growing bored with waiting. To pass the time, she would perhaps work on her General's new name. Now, what name would fit her the best...
The diminutive girl began scribbling random words in her word with the utmost concentration.

“Aikido.” The tall girl frankly replied, and Junko blinked her eyes. “Ah.” She frowned, and dragged herself back in her seat. “What a waste...” She thought and sighed. Junko was beginning to wonder if the basketball team at Lilium would be a good one...were there very many players at all? This school seemed to have so much to offer, she couldn't bear the thought of so many great potential players ending up in some other recreation. Junko kept the topic of basketball on her mind until she realized the teacher had already begun speaking.

The teacher started talking about picking a class representative, Junko didn't apply to the conversation and felt drowsy. She didn't know anybodies names in the class, except for her roommate, so there was no way she could pick a representative anyway. Junko yawned and slowly put her head down. “I won't fall asleep...I'll just get back up when she starts teaching the class again...”

It took a whole lot of effort not to squee out of the pure adorableness when Himawari entrusted her to keep the plushie in it's proper location. It was childlike, but in the good sense of the word as far as Rika was concerned. She remained silent during this time, focused only on the cute Himawari.

She was glad to hear that the two of them had the same class and that Himawari was now comfortable enough to accept the offer to walk together with her. This was all a dramatic improvement from earlier, having broken past the tsun and gotten to the dere much quicker then expected. She didn't anticipate this being a permanent thing, however, as no serious event had occurred to change her personality so drastically. She actually didn't feel the need to change it that badly, just keep it in check.

She was told not to do anything weird. Would attempting to hold her hand count as weird? Probably, especially since they had just met each other less then an hour ago. Rika liked to take bold actions, but this could be too bold to try for now. As they walked she followed closely off to the left side, glancing at Himawari every so often but trying to remain inconspicuous about it. Getting got staring wouldn't go over well, especially now that Himawari thought she was a weird pervert. Appreciating the cuteness of a fellow girl wasn't that weird...is it? Now she was getting confused if she was, in fact, as weird as Himawari claimed. Her manager had requested that she refrain from certain actions while out in public to try to better fit in, so maybe Himawari was right about her true nature after all.

She pushed those thoughts from her mind. She almost got lost due to not paying attention to her surroundings, but luckily she had Himawari with her to help lead the way. She probably would have been late without her help, and even then it was a close call. Sensei was already in the classroom, but class hadn't officially started yet when they arrived. She heard some snickering going around the room that was slowly dying down.

"I wonder what that's about?" She thought to herself just loud enough for Himawari to hear.

She looked around to the room, spotting her empty seat near the middle.

"I'll talk to you later," she told Himawari before quickly taking her seat. Class was starting soon so she needed time to get all of her supplies out and hope she hadn't forgotten anything important.

Himawari walked along beside Rika, her arms tightly folded across her chest the entire time. She hoped that Rika didn't think that, just because she liked the display that the girl had made with her plushie, she would be nice to her now. That wasn't the case at all! She had been slightly dissuaded from thinking she was a pervert... and no longer believed she was a stripper. However, to even try and come up with that excuse was really suspicious! She could easily be some kind of pervert, so Himawari had no intention of letting her guard down! And she'd acted kind of dumb at first... even though that had slightly improved. Slightly. At least it didn't seem like she would get lost on the way to class, or something stupid like that. Himawari loathed schoolwork, but she didn't want to be late and Tsukuba-sensei was... kind of okay.

It wasn't that much longer until she reached the classroom, hearing all the snickering just as Rika had. She glanced around at the other girls in the class, before shrugging her shoulders, briefly closing her eyes as she did.

"Probably just a bunch of idiots laughing about some dumb joke," she said, before folding her arms across her chest once more. She swiftly turned to head over to her seat. When Rika said she'd talk to her later, Himawari paused a moment before responding.

"And if you really need to talk to me, it better not be about anything dumb or perverted," she declared, sternly, before taking her own seat in the classroom.

They needed to pick a class rep? Well... picking someone at random wasn't good, at all. Since no one seemed to be nominating anyone, she should probably make a suggestion. But... the very act of making the suggestion would put her in the spotlight for being chosen, wouldn't it? Yet, at the same time, she couldn't allow the class rep to be chosen at random. Such a position had a duty to be fulfilled, and if the person chosen was ill-suited, then things wouldn't go as smoothly. She wasn't clever enough to trick someone into making the suggestion for her, nor did she have anyone she could goad into it in the first place. If someone had to be chosen, she knew that she, herself, would at least take the job seriously.

The young woman sighed and rose from her seat, standing beside her desk. "Sensei, if I might make a suggestion. Since no one seems eager to make a nomination, perhaps we should elect a temporary official, until such a time as we are able to choose someone we know will be suited to the job. A week's time should be enough to make a more informed decision, don't you think?"

Her face clearly read 'don't pick me,' though.

As a couple more girls entered the room, her eyes shifted to them. The one seemed rather cynical about the girls around her. Ah, wait, she recognized the type of girl. She never thought she'd actually run into one that so clearly fit the description, though.

"Tsundere, ne?" This was muttered under her breath, more to herself than anyone else. She realizes her error immediately, though. If the girl heard her comment, she probably wouldn't like it. It felt too early to sit again, though, as much as she wanted to. The teacher had yet to respond...

For a moment or so, Tohru had a feeling she wasn't leaving this class at all, which just meant more time she was forced to drag through just for a drag. Maybe her excuse wouldn't be good enough, unless if blood were to come gushing from the top of her head and ooze all over her face in some gory fashion- actually that sounded brutally awesome to the teen, like that American movie Carrie. However, Tsukuba-sensei soon issued Tohru a curt nod, which meant she was free to go, but only for just a few brief minutes, all she needed. Ugh...finally! Didn't take her long to stroll down the aisle while still holding her head and selling the act, but it was as she passed some little shrimpy tsundere, she heard the girl damn near ripping the face off the other pink haired girl. Didn't I see her somewhere before? Oh yeah! Beach Party Slaughterfest, she was that random chick who got crushed by a semi. Casting a cynical glare to her, Tohru muttered as she walked past the tiny girl in her usual insulting tone, "Jeez, someone forgot their chill-pills today." She almost felt sorry for that actress having to take that kind of flak.

Out the door she went and down the halls, passing up the bathrooms instead and out onto the campus grounds, back to what she may consider now her favorite place in all the academy, the gardens. Just as before and pretty much always, the spring winds were whipping about the frail cherry blossoms, casting them through the air and letting them drift to the concrete pathway below Tohru's feet. There were so many now that the wind had perked up a bit, but it wasn't a full blown gale, almost like a pink snowstorm. Tohru took in the sight yet again and smiled, finding her a seat next to one of the blossoming sakura trees and leaning against it with a pleasant sigh escaping her lips, soon to be clenching one of her cigarettes. Fishing about in her shirt with one hand, she pulled out the crumpled up pack of Seven Star regulars and pulled out one that was slightly bent, lighting it after sticking it in her mouth. She took a slow drag and casually exhaled a ghostly wisp of smoke into the air, looking up into the blue sky speckled with sakura petals.

Their bright pink hues....they reminded her a bit of Mira.... That girl's something... Tohru mused taking another drag of her cigarette, her mind almost as cloudy as the puff of smoke she released with a sigh. I mean first day we meet and already...we're friends. I never...felt like this about anyone at all. It's just weird. She couldn't think of what it was. How could it be that someone so vastly different from anyone's Tohru's ever hung out with could just automatically be friends with the street punk? Also how could Tohru just automatically be friends with someone so kawaii and elegant? It was really hurting her head just to think on this. Maybe it was something about her.... Maybe it was after being ostracized by nearly everyone, someone finally accepted Tohru for who she was. After all, Tohru did overlook a few of Mira's faults and accepted her as a friend. Well...guess I'll never know really. Mira's just someone....someone who makes me feel happy.... That's really all I could want.... There might be more to it down the road, but who knows? Closing her eyes, Tohru took yet another drag, before laying against the thick trunk of the tree and gazing up above, adrift in the infinite sea of her thoughts.

Tsukuba-Senei studied Mira for a moment as she considered whether or not to let her go. "Go ahead, Aino-san." Thankful, she got up from her seat before smoothing her skirt out with her fingers, and leaving the classroom. She started on down the hall, walking at a somewhat fast pace as she really did need to go to. Luckily, there was a restroom not too far from Tsukuba's class, and maybe afterwards she could go back to their room and grab her bag since she had forgotten it. Which was totally unlike her, but it wasn't uncommon for people to forget about things when they were having fun with their friends... Was it? Plus, it had been forever since she had even formed a real connection with anyone at the school, and she loved that it got to be with Tohru, a particularly cute girl. Or... Mira's cheeks flushed a deep rose shade as her mind went to someone else. C'mon! Mira, get a grip. You can't be greedy now. She swallowed nervously, kicking the thought from her mind as she really didn't want to entertain that anymore. Well, maybe just a little. What is wrong with me?

*Swoosh*

Feeling relieved, she walked over to the sink while counting the steps it took for her to get to there from her stall. She placed her hand under the soap dispenser, waiting for the pink foamy soap to fall into the palm of her hands. Her lips formed into a flatline as less than usual of the sakura scented soap came out. Oh well, she thought, running her hands under the warm water and massaging the suds all over her hands. She didn't even notice the restroom had nearly cleared out, and that all she could see now was a tall silhouette from the corner of her eye. *blink*blink* Mira looked over discreetly to see Haruka-san scrubbing something off a mirror, maybe she didn't recognize her. That could possibly be a good thing. She couldn't forget how she had embarrassed herself earlier when she fumbled for words and ran off. What would she say to her now? She pulled her hands from under the motion-activated faucet before grabbing a paper towel and drying her hands off.

"Hey, Haruka-san. What are you doing?" She said somewhat timidly as she approached her. Her aura was strong, and it made her wonder if she had made a mistake interrupting her... her cleaning the mirrors? However, she couldn't help admiring the girls physique which was clearly a result of her military and martial arts background. She may have overheard her old room mate gushing about Haruka on more than one occasion. She understood why now.

Haruka had been intent upon her task until Mira had spoken, being jolted out of her reverie and her head snapping towards the possible threat. Of course it was nothing like that and her tense muscles immediately relaxed, smiling at the girl gently. Somehow the sight of Aino-chan was very relaxing and soothing for Haruka, which should seem strange to her but wasn't at all. She liked the way the delicate girl called her first name so unceremoniously, even though they didn't really know eachother, and she took a moment to reflect on how cute she was.

She held up the small wet towel as an answer. "Minawari-san and her gang were in here before me, taking over the whole place as usual, I guess I'm cleaning up after them." She shrugged and threw the towel in the bin. "I'm done now though, are you feeling ok Aino-san? You ran away so quickly before." She sounded genuinely concerned and offered a very soft smile, not one that any girl at the school could ever imagine her wearing.

Nadeshiko Kazamatsuri, late for class

Oh... Oh wow, she was really doing it... Nadeshiko tried not to blink as she watched Cho change into her uniform. Even though she'd only seen her in her underwear, and even then only for a moment, she couldn't help but stare in fascination, cheeks burning bright red at the sight. She had such a wonderful body... This year was going to be so much fun~

...And then she left. Oh well. Laying back on her bed, Nadeshiko sighed in contentment, the wonderful sight she had just witnessed still swimming through her head. As she pictured it again and again, her hand crept down, until-

...Wait, she was getting changed for class.

Bolting upright, Nadeshiko looked at her watch in panic. Oh god oh god oh god I'm gonna be late! On the first day too! The teacher's going to kill me! As quickly as she could, she changed into her uniform, before rushing out of the dorm. Knowing her luck, she'd probably be stopped by someone telling her that she shouldn't run in the halls and end up being even more late!

...Thankfully, that didn't happen. Soon enough, she had burst into the literature class, panting heavily in exhaustion as she entered. It took a moment for her to realise she had just made a big scene, at which point her shoulders sunk and she once more turned bright red, this time in embarrassment.

"S-s-s-s-sorry I'm... I'm l-l-l-late..." She doubted the teacher had heard her, though. She was so anxious right now that she could barely speak over a whisper.

Reiko watched with a shaken head and an incredulous gaze as not one, but two students shuffled out of the class, before it even started no less. What were they doing in the hour they had to spare, if not getting ready for class? Class wasn't Reiko's favorite thing in the world, but she was able to focus and make it a priority when need be, why couldn't they? If she were the teacher, she'd count them late if they didn't make it back from their bathroom visit before the bell sounded. Reiko was hoping Tsukuba-sensei was planning on doing just that.

But instead, Tsukuba had her head pointed towards the desk, sighing as not a single student voiced an opinion on the matter of class representative. It really wasn't that hard, just say a name or point someone out, there were plenty to choose from. The tall girl Shinobu-san, either of the pink haired girls, even the girl trying too hard to pass as a boy sitting right in the front row. So many choices and no one, no one could muster the courage to just speak up. This didn't bode well for the rest of the year, if they were this silent about useless things like this, how could they ever talk about Japanese literature in a well organized manner?

The bell signifying the start of class rang, and with it, Tsukuba adjusted her posture, standing straight up and flattening out her clothing."Come on, girls, all I need is a volunteer, a name, I'll take a simple nomination." She studied the room, gauging the reaction of the other other students, noting who made an effort to look away or otherwise preoccupied. "Fine. I'll pick. I don't want to hear any complaints when I pick the class rep."

As if on cue, the door slid open and a meek looking girl stood there, out of breath and soft spoken. Tsukuba-sensei pointed towards her after slapping her podium with an open palm.

"YOU!" She screamed, her voice sounding angry moreso do to its volume than its tone, "You are late. But first, stand in front of the class and introduce yourself. The class needs to know about their class representative. And then take your seat."

Reiko could see a smirk on Tsukuba-sensei's face. She was enjoying this, toying with the poor girl. It almost seemed like bullying or harassment, the way she shouted at her while forcing her into the role. Even if it was from a teacher, such methods were just plain crude. Reiko looked down to her desk before raising her hand and speaking.

"Sensei, it's not really fair to force someone into the position, she didn't even know what was going on." Reiko happened to leave out her thoughts on the girl being late and how stupid that was, but not every thought had to be vocalized.

"I said no complaining, Ishida-san." Tsukuba spoke, her eyes darting directly to Reiko, "It's too late to take it back now. None of you could offer a suggestion, so I did it for you. Now then, class rep," she turned to face Nadeshiko, gesturing her head to the center of the room, "Come on and address the students. Keep it short. I do have a class to teach here."

Reiko went silent at the slight shouting directed towards her. Day one and she had already indirectly ticked off the teacher, though from the way she was smiling - Reiko wasn't sure Tsukuba-sensei had really meant any of it. It looked like she was just having fun, at the expense of her students. Still, Reiko offered a half apologetic shrug to the late arrival and new class representative. They'd just have to deal with it. It really was their fault in a weird way. Not that Reiko could shift blame.

It must've been more than a few minutes that Tohru was relaxing by the cherry blossoms, because undoubtedly she fell asleep with her cigarette dangling upon her lips, now burnt completely to the filter, but still it was an enjoyable nap, and she was having some nice dreams for once, aside from her typical nightmares from the past. "Mngh....Huh?" She spit out the snuffed cig and let out a deep yawn, rubbing her eyes and scratching the back of her head. "Damn...I gotta start getting to bed early. Wait, why am I here again?" Then she realized it. "Oh shit!" Tohru was way past her allotted break time thanks to her dozing off. It didn't take long for her to scurry to her feet, and off she was once again darting across the campus and back to the classroom. Surprising she could run this far as much as she smoked, but her lungs were blazing hot and nearly every muscle in her legs were damn near burning away in her skin. "Nice one Tohru!" She scolded herself mid-sprint. "Maybe next time you can ask Tsukuba-sensei if you can take the whole f***ing day off!"

She made it to the door of her class building and bolted in, but it was as Tohru passed the restroom door, she skidded to a halt in the hallway. A peculiar sound caught her by the ear and froze her directly where she stood. There were two voices chatting, one of which Tohru recognized as Mira's, but who the hell did the other voice belong too, aside from obviously another girl, but it wasn't what they spoke of that garnered Tohru's eavesdropping attention....it was how they spoke. "Mi...Mira...?" It felt as though any word she heard the girl speak was a bullet fired into her heart, and with as much as she heard, Tohru's heart might as well have been shot to pieces with a fully-automatic. Easy Tohru....there's no need to jump the gun right now. Maybe it's one of her friends from first year. Besides, you two are just friends. Why would you think-?! No...it couldn't be that. What girl would go for Tohru like....like that? She wanted to burst in there, just bury her fist into whoever was talking to Mira...but the other side was fighting her violent tendencies and tugging her mentally by the hair to go back to class and forget what she heard. The latter option seemed less troubling.

And so as Tohru's pace lowered to a trudge and a deep and bothersome sigh escaped her, the girl turned heel slowly and made her way back to the classroom, flopping down in her desk and lowering her head to the hardwood top with a glower. Remember....just friends.... Luckily though,she was just in time to see the newly elected class representative, and....it was Nadeshiko, a fidgety, nervous twitching girl Tohru sometimes called "Pervy-san" for natural reasons. At least it wasn't me. She thought with some sort of a grin trying to force its way across her lips, but her frown just seemed to harrowing to change. Way to go, Pervy-san. Just...don't screw it up.

Nadeshiko Kazamatsuri... Class Representative!?

For a moment, Nadeshiko stood frozen in shock. She... She'd just been late, and... And this was just... This wasn't fair at all! She didn't want to be the center of attention! The mere thought of that made her want to throw up out of anxiety. All those eyes looking at her, all those thoughts focused on her, she couldn't handle it. Not one bit. There's no way this could work out... Surely the teacher was joking, right? R-right?

...She didn't seem like she was joking at all.

Nervously, trembling, Nadeshiko slowly made her way to the front of the class and stiffly bowed. But as her head faced the floor, a thought came to her. The class representative always seemed to be looked up to in all the manga she read... And they always seemed to be so pretty, and girls seemed to lust after them... Maybe the position wouldn't be such a bad thing. She didn't have much going for her, after all. She was short, her chest was like a sheer cliff, her hair was in a state of permanent bedhead, she could barely speak to anyone and... Well, her hobbies tended to be a little off-putting to some. But if she was in a position that they respected, maybe... And girls loved those in power, right? And of course, with great power came great opportunities to abuse said power to get cute girls...

"H-heh... Eheh..." Raising her head, Nadeshiko tried her best to smile cutely. Unfortunately, due to her current nervous state, the twitching of her mouth looked a little bit unsettling. "H-h-hello, um, uh... I'm... I'm N-n-n-nadeshiko... K-kazamatsuri... And I... I'll t-t-try my b-best to be a g-g-good repre... Representative, eheheh." She raised a hand to try and wave politely to the class, but this made her notice they were all cute girls. She knew they were all girls, but.. They were all so cute, eheheh. "I, um, uh... I l-l-like art and, um... W-was going to... To t-try out for the... The d-doujin club... If anyone w-w-wants to... M-m-m-m-model for m-me just ask eheheheh."

...That probably would've worked better if her expression hadn't became one of perverse lust whilst she was saying that, really.

At least for a moment, watching as Tsukuba-sensei picked out the late girl... Himawari couldn't help but feel a little bad for her. Oh, it didn't change the fact that it was stupid, so very stupid, to be late. It wasn't like they didn't have plenty of time to get ready and get to class, after all, so being late was perfectly avoidable and very stupid. That being said, the messy-haired girl was pretty clearly having a horrible time with this already. They was she froze when she heard the news, and trembled as she headed up to the front of the class... And that stiff bow, she was clearly having a hard time even standing in front of glass. Jeez, how did someone even get that nervous? Whatever the reason, Himawari was pretty certain that this girl was not suited to be a class rep at all.

... That smile looked kind of unsettling, though. It was all the nervous twitching, Himawari guessed. This Nadeshiko girl couldn't even say anything without stuttering all over the place, how could she ever be class rep? Himawari wasn't exactly known for her sympathy to random people, but this girl seemed to be having a pretty awful time up there. And yet... something about her seemed a bit familiar...

All at once, the sympathy evaporated on that last note. That perverted expression as she said girls could model for her...

"Hmph!"

Himawari turned away, folding her arms tightly.

... And that's when she remembered where she recognized Nadeshiko from.

She was really hoping no-one noticed her blushing.

Minawari-san...? She tried not to let her face show the contempt she held for the girl and her followers; they were mean to her and a handful of other freshmen last year. However, Mira wasn't one to really hold grudges, and since she wasn't a first year anymore they probably wouldn't be too worried about her... Unless, they decided to spread a rumor about her again.

"Umm... Yes, I'm fine." Mira smiled nervously at the taller girl, hoping her face wouldn't turn too red as she could already feel the heat rising in her cheeks from the way Haruka looked at her. Or was she imagining things? "I was actually hoping to find you later to apologize for leaving so suddenly... That was no way to treat my savior." Saying that last part, her ruby eyes drifted to the shiny tile floor. A blushing pink-haired girl with her arms folded behind her back stared back at her before looking back up to meet the older girl's eyes. Behind Haruka, she could see a wall clock; A little more than five minutes had passed, and she knew she would need to get going soon or Tsukuba-sensei would get suspicious. Maybe she would suggest they walk back to class together. She would gladly follow where ever Haruka lead her. Lucky!

At the look Mira gave her, Haruka's heart skipped a beat and her pulse increased dramatically. The girl was a shy one so she rarely got to look into her eyes before now. Finally she could really see the iridescent shade of red they were, a strange and beautiful colour. Her cheeks were rapidly climbing to the same shade of red as her eyes and her face seemed to glow slightly as she stood poised and elegantly before Haruka. She was the very picture of a Noble Lady, a princess of some long forgotten kingdom, it made Haruka want to be her Knight in shining armour. She called her 'saviour' which only increased Haruka's wish to protect and know her. She had felt something similar once before, Mira had played at some school concert and even though Haruka was not usually moved by music, Mira's playing brought her almost to tears. She had not seen her much after that, but now she hoped they could come to know each other better.

After a moment of still silence Haruka recovered herself from her slightly love-struck state and beamed warmly at Mira's words, bowing low and dramatically. "Twas nothing Milady, your smile is all the reward I should wish for." She said it jokingly, rising from her bow and chuckling to herself, but she still sort of meant it. Graciously she offered Mira her arm, "Would you do me the honour of letting me escort you back to class?" She was actually still slightly worried that Minawari and her gang would come back, not wanting to leave Mira alone with them after how many times she had had to step in last year. Mira took the offered arm and Haruka began leading her back to the classrooms, never losing her smile.

She didn't know what was going on. Inside Tohru raged this massive black storm of confusion, anger, and other harmful emotions that just devastated her as much as she tried to ignore the feeling and remain calmly seated at her desk. Why was she getting like this, because someone else was with Mira except for her? She has a life! Tohru couldn't seem to shake the thought from her head, Mira being with someone else. It pestered her like an annoying poisonous moth fluttering around her head and biting her every few seconds. Stop it! She scolded herself with a figurative slap on the wrist, attempting as much as she could not to draw attention from the class. What you need to do is just read. Don't even think about what you just heard. You know you're only letting your imagination get the best of you, Tohru. Mira likes you, right? Why would you think-? And there it was again.

Ugh! F***! That one thought kept reciprocating through Tohru's head, and now she felt like she needed another cigarette just to burn away the ill imaginings. However, that would have to be after class since Tsukuba-sensei didn't look to keen on giving her any more breaks. There's your book. Pick it up and turn the page. Her eyes averted from the front of the class (mainly the door) and towards the floor where lied Tohru's "Tell-Tale Heart She bent down and grabbed the book, flipping it to a random page and reading, soaking up as much info as it took from Poe's classic to avoid even thinking of Mira or hearing her voice....along with whoever that other chick was.

Class president, huh? Rika was certainly outgoing enough to take on the task, but it would require a whole lot of work that would cut into her free time in between both work and normal school activities. She'd make that sacrifice if she had to, but she certainly wasn't in the mood to jump at the chance either. She planned on waiting to see if anyone else actually wanted to take the job first, but predictably there was no volunteers after all. Guess there was no choice then. She removed her hand from her desk and was in the process of raising it up into the air when the classroom door slid open in a hurry, distracting everyone and revealing...her former pervy roommate coming in late to class?! She was so surprised by this that she paused with her hand only level with her shoulder, slowly drooping back down as she remained focused on Nadeshiko. She didn't hate her by any means, but it would have been nice if she'd stop stealing her panties all the time. She was able to get some of them back, but had a sneaking suspicion that not all of them were returned to her. Plus there was some other things going on that she'd rather not mention, but to say the least it was certainly...quite yuri experience during their time together. In fact it was her first time interacting with another girl in such a way, although it was mostly a one way thing with Nadeshiko doing all of the "effort". Rika found some of the antics oddly attractive, which was probably why she wasn't as angry with her as she probably should be, but she did her best not to give in to such perversions so easily. First of all she couldn't give that side of her away to the public or else she'd ruin her image, as her manager put it. Even when playing roles in horror movies she was often the kind hearted virgin girl or something like that, which often didn't protect her from the monster but it helped win the hearts of the people watching her short lived performances. How would they view her if they knew she was getting freaky with a panty thief? That would be a totally different character type then what they had become accustomed of her. That being said she wasn't sure if to make any big deal of this reunion. It would be rude to brush her off entirely, but now wasn't the time for a get-together anyways. She'd probably just exchange some polite conversation after class was over or something.

While she was still thinking about all of this, as it turns out poor Nadeshiko was shoved into the role of class president. Rika knew that this was a horrible idea from the start and would not end well. Could she just stand by and watch her struggle all by her lonesome after being put on the spot like that? She raised her hand and then called out, "I can be the vice president if that position is available. It would seem like Nadeshiko-san could use some help if she's to perform her role to it's maximum efficiency."

Regan braced for the teacher to pick her as the rep. It was going to be troublesome, but if she ended up being it, she'd just have to deal with it. She'd closed her eyes to prepare herself for seeing the teacher pointing directly at her, but when she opened them again, the teacher wasn't pointing at her, but toward the door. Oh, someone had come in late. She looked a little... scruffy? Short and flat, too. Not that she should judge someone by their stature.

She took her seat, anyway, and watched as the girl went up to the front of the class. That stammer and halting speech... she must be shy. But not too shy to ask for a model, apparently. And what was with that smile?! It was weird, definitely weird. Weird like... ooh. They must be kindred spirits... though Regan's was certainly more disciplined.

Class would begin in earnest, soon, she assumed, so she made sure she had her book ready. She'd better pay attention, too, or she might get called on while daydreaming. That wouldn't do at all.

Along the way to Tsukuba's classroom, Mira stopped along the way to grab her things from their dorm. Lucky for her, it wasn't too far away from her class, and all of her things had already been packed away nicely into her small briefcase. That only took less than a whole minute, so she would be back into her classroom before the ten minute mark happened. Walking side by side with Hakura, the pink haired girl didn't say much at all, but her lips were formed into a small smile the whole way. She had gotten so lucky running into Haruka in the restroom, and now she was walking her to class. It was all too surreal.

"Well, this is me... Thanks for walking me to class, Haruka-san." Mira wasn't sure what else to say or do. Should she hug her? No, that would be too forward and she didn't want Haruka to think of her as some creepy girl. Maybe some other time. Before she left though, Haruka kissed her on the hand which temporarily left her in a daze. Slightly drunk, she noticed an interesting, but cute girl with black hair standing at the teacher's podium. Is that our class rep, then? Before she sat down, her eyes went to Tohru's seat. Something was visibly wrong with her friend, she wondered what and made a mental note to catch up with her after Literature. She sat her briefcase on her lap and opened it, peeking inside of it and pulling out the reading materials. It seemed class hadn't really started yet, so she grinned to herself, feeling high from being with Haruka. Lucky!!

It seemed the unfortunate business of deciding a class representative was finished, or it should have been before a previously silent student spoke up, going on about being the vice president. Tsukuba shook her head slightly, rubbing her index finger and thumb along her forehead. This wasn't the student council, it wasn't like the position was that difficult. Still, the teacher wondered what the sudden change of heart was all about. Suehiro Rika was suddenly fine with being the vice president but being the class representative was too much to ask? Tsukuba was about to address this when another hand shot up and a voice followed without even being called upon.

"I'll volunteer to be the vice representative as well," Reiko spoke up, her voice rather cold and distant with just a touch of femininity in the mix, "It's not fair that she was forced into the position. That's harassment. That's bullying." Reiko wasn't intending to steal the thunder from the other student, she had just beaten Reiko to the punch. Reiko couldn't help but feel sorry for their class representative, her stutter, her nervous, uncomfortable bow of greeting. The girl was surely going to run into problems down the line. It was the least Reiko could do to help. Bullying of any sort was unforgivable.

"Look, I don't care if either of you want to help the class rep," Tsukuba sighed, in shock that this was still being discussed, "Nadeshiko-san, meet Ishida Reiko and Suehiro Rika. Pick one of them to be your assistant, but do it after class. We've wasted enough time as is." Tsukuba waited for the class rep to take her seat, the bell had already sounded signaling the start of the school day and the class was already behind. With a cleared throat, Tsukuba regained her composure, holding a thin book up, opening it with two fingers.

"Now then, it's time for class. Welcome to literature. Normally this class would be about classical Japanese literature, from Murasaki Shikibu all the way to Taketori Monogatari, but we're going to skip that. This class will focus on more contemporary literature. There's a common belief that looking to the past is how we make a better future, and that extends to literature. I disagree. Contemporary literature is important for modern education because it holds up a mirror on modern society. You're not going to benefit from learning about the themes behind Genji Monogatari. You're going to benefit from reading and learning the context behind such works by authors like Oe Kenzaburo, Murakami Ryu, Kakuta Mitsuyo, and Murakami Haruki."

Tsukuba paused for effect, looking around the room to see if any of the names mentioned hit any sort of mark with her students. "Contemporary literature deals with themes that resonate with you students because they are themes present in society today. And it is because of that that I will teach you contemporary literature. It will be up to you to determine why the selected works are important to the modern world. Now then, everyone open your texts, hopefully everyone has one, if not, share with another, and we're going to start with a short story, The Accordian and the Fish Town. Who would like to start reading?"

And so went literature, Tsukuba-sensei had her eyes glued to the text, walking up and down the aisles while students took turns reading passages, pausing at times to ask questions about prose or word selection. Tsukuba was happy to respond to questions, though she appreciated it more when students chimed in with reasons of their own. Before long, the mood was that of an actual classroom, complete with the sounds of turning pages and honest-to-god literature. Which made it all the more sad when the bell rang, signifying the next class. Tsukuba-sensei left, their math teacher entered. Followed by their English teacher, fresh from her vacation to North America. After their English teacher left, it was time for the class to get changed for physical education.

At Lilium, physical education was a joint class for all three years. It was a way for the school to not have to hire multiple physical education teachers, but they hid it behind the flowery explanation of 'consolidating the student body to increase school spirit and student growth'. It sounded better on the brochure. Either way, it was time for physical education, held down on the sports field. Students could opt to change into their uniforms, a shirt with the Lilium logo and red bloomers, in their classrooms or in the locker rooms.

No matter their chosen method, the students had fifteen minutes to get to the athletic fields and prepare for the class. The silver lining was that following physical education came lunch, which made the potential slog of physical activity worth enduring.

Reiko remained in the classroom while others opted to leave. She didn't move to get changed right away, she was still preparing herself for the worst class of the day by a combination of deep breath exercises and slightly audible exclamations of positivity and self encouragement. Hopefully the first day would just be stretches. Stretches she could handle, it was the other stuff, the games, that she couldn't.
