Not an everyday class for 2nd years
Optional after that.

Jargon will probably take Mathews class as well, because he doesn't really take into account his own body's danger, just protection of the people around him.

So I read this and just had a thought, we might be able skip all the class/teacher/position stuff if everyone wanted. We could just start with it's been a few weeks/months since the start of the academy year and then have the dark lord invade. Just a thought, because all this class and teacher stuff is waaaay to complex. And, in my opinion it kind segregates the characters in a way that makes me feel I won't really be able to interact with characters not in my character's class, if that makes any sense.

Anyway, just thinking out loud a bit.

we could have a first day of people getting introduction, then when the day comes to an end, the next day is the actual first day of classes, the headmistress gives a quick speech to everyone before it starts. Annnd then an evil messenger comes in and warns of the coming danger, and we have reason to train and such for the coming battle.

After that little fiasco, classes can actually start

So just make sure I am understanding this correctly.
We have intro day, start of 1st school day, big battle and training, then go back to school?

I'd imagine there's probably going be a time gap greater than one day between the messanger of the warlord's arrival and his actual arrival, you know, for training montage's and whatnot

Yes, we won't stop school for a day, fight a war, then go back the next day

And it won't be like the messenger is walking like 2 feet in front of the army
