was just getting a feel for the age group. And yeah, Saxton would have to be at the edge of the age limit for him to work. He can still keep the manliness very easily though.

...Are you sure about that? One of the problems I'm having with trying to decide on a female character is that I have too many choices right now. ^^;

Yeah the aim in early to late teens, max about 21-23 ish. Korra would be acceptable if you can make her work in this particular setting.

Rin and Vita are right. At the moment, ALL of the characters we have are actually non-anime characters. Ultraman is from a live action series and Megman is well...Megaman, a videogame character in this case based mainly off of a Western comic book adaptation and a Western animation cartoon. Ben 10 is Western animation, Iron Fist is Marvel comics as well (I just used an anime character's picture because as unlikely as it is there is NO proper art of him as a child on the internet) Metronome's second character is from Gargoyles, an awesome Western animation show, the list goes on and on.

In fact, it's adding anime characters that would create more variety in terms of genre,, not the other way around.

Brief Bio: A very muscular guy from Australia, you would think Saxton was a man just by looking at him, but hes only 22. Being hailed as the world's manliest man, he runs a weapons making company named Mann Co. which he inherited from his father. Though he does check the business from time to time, he spends most of his time fighting. While he doesn't care much about who he fights, he finds he doesn't have to fight the police all that often when he fights criminals, so he does that for the most part. You would seriously think he was older than 22 but well, he was just too manly to wait that long, Also growth hormones and testosterone shots helped a lot..

Personality: Always looking for a fight, Saxton does not turn down a challenge. He hates hippies and will attack them out of sheer prejudice. While a fan of fighting, Saxton isn't stupid and can be quite clever in a fight. Sometimes he might try to pick a fight when bored. he has no problem killing whatever he fights, and will find joy in mounting their heads like trophies in his office if given the opportunity.

Okay, while Saxton Hale is admittedly an awesome paragon of manliness, his tendency to fight anything that will fight and randomly attack hippies prooobably means he won't fit well or be able to interact much, as I'm seeing it personally? I mean it might work, but just as a player I'm kinda seeing some immediate personality, teamwork and character motivation conflicts XD

Also the killing. There's precedence about no killing. Especially on a team that includes someone trained and raised by Batman.

...If he does get accepted he totally needs to meet Flex Mentallo at some point so they can work together to turn the Pentagon into a circle or something via pure MANLINESS.

Yeah, I didn't realize you brought up Saxton along with Captain Falcon. Dblade once again nailed it. Characters who can be interacting and all that are much more important to me than guys who punch and are silly....

Fair enough, though I can't really think of any others that aren't something gimicky like Saxton when its not OCs. Most characters don't do well when taken out of their worlds for teh most part due to... well... day to day characteristics not being developed for them for the most part.

I have to side with archmage, it's hard to use canon characters who haven't been over used constantly, like I love superman, the flash, green lantern and a lot of others but I wouldn't play as them in an rp because then it just becomes generic.

Also I'm still interested but I probably won't have a character sheet up until the first of December

Well I mean I'm not really at a position to say much on the subject since I went the very safe route with Nightwing and Ben 10. The later being an easy pick as a non comic book based superhero. But that doesn't mean there aren't characters who just wouldn't work for this. Hell last time this rp was done I made Peter Pan. You just have to get creative and think outside the box a bit. I also almost had Cyborg 009, considered Generator Rex for a bit, he'll someone was considering Ken Masters from Street Fighters (though I don't know if I could accept that for this at the moment). I was just thinking not too long ago someone from Animorphs could even work like Jake, Cassie, or Marcos.

Big Hero 6 had plenty of young heroes who'd work too...

Well, there is also the fact that canon characters aren't really... personal for most people. You can have fun with them sure, but you wont be really attached to them as much as an OC for most people. Plus you also have to use their mythos and everything and work around that and all that fun stuff.

I dunno. Most chars that are 'serious' often times don't work so well for comedy. Anime chars have a decent balance for the most part, Ie One Piece, DBZ, and the like, but then those characters are also usually not... well, they're usually stupid powerful. Imagine somene playing Vageta here, lol. team four star does do a good job of making canon fnny though.

I'm a hardcore DC fan, it's either DC characters or any other non marvel company.

No offense but I keep getting a vibe that this rp is somewhat biased towards either generic American characters or anime inspired characters, which some of us don't want to do
