Ruko sighed. "I was hoping that no one would, but I don't think that's very practical, is it? Rex has seemed a bit extra on edge as of late, so I'm really worried about him. Has he been talking to himself a lot? Sometimes I think I hear his voice and he's the only one around when I enter the room." The bespectacled boy shook his head. "I hope he'll be okay as well. Inigo will probably be fine; he doesn't seem like he'll be easily shaken. And Kyle...actually, I don't know about him at all. He seems fairly level-headed usually, but I still wonder..." Shrugging, he fixed his glasses and tried to smile again. "Let's just go find the others. I'm sure I just worry too much."

But I have to admit that this is a strange situation for all of us. "Well, I can teach you," Rex said. "It's pretty easy, though. Fishing with a cork, a hook and a worm is simple and relaxing."

"That's kind of a depressing thought. I guess they'll have to learn how to deal with it eventually, though. I only hope that we can all at least try to keep it together when possible, and maybe we can figure something out when we do start turning." He tried to think at least a bit more optimistically as they walked. It wasn't as if they had no chance, right? Maybe their new guests would actually be able to help them figure this out, too. The more people working on a problem, the more possible ideas, right?

...Right...he just needed to have faith...both in his brothers and in the brave girls who had shown up...

I glanced up at the unfamiliar voice, only to find myself face-to-face with none other than one of the 'beasts'. Apparently I'll have to pay for the damage to the statue beside me. I am tempted to ask, 'with what?' but he cuts me off, informing me that his presence is certainly not because of me. Ouch. If I cared, I might have even been offended. I glanced at the book in his hand, eyes glancing over the familiar title, before replying in a mildly sarcastic tone. "Right. Sorry for, ah, disturbing you." My expression undoubtedly gave away my opinion of him and his cold air, but I turned, stuffing the finger between the lips of the cherub as I did, making it appear as though it were smoking some sort of cigar.

Kyle, chuckled a bit at the statues new image. And it seemed to him that he had been taken bit to seriously. He let himself smile at her little cigar baby statue fiasco.
"I was joking. No need to be so serious. And you don't need to worry about disturbing me, I was actually worried about scaring you. I mean, a new house with new people, who are not of the best reputation, due to a lot of rumors. Actually I feel kind of silly about the whole 'joke' it's not really my forte, Rex has always been better at that."
Kyle realized that he was babbling, and stopped himself. This was very unlike him, he needed to collect his thoughts. Best switch to a subject he had a fifty fifty chance of being right about.
"Do you like to read?"

Allie smiled. "That's really nice of you. I didn't have anyone at home to take the time and instruct me, so I'm not going to waste this opportunity. I'm ready whenever you are."

He wasn't ashamed of his beast the way some of the others were. Of course that could be that he didn't feel his beast was as dangerous as his brothers' beasts were. "Lets check the library. I know Rex was in there earlier."

Rex nodded, leading Allie to the lake. Hayabusa flew ahead. Rex had built a dock so he could fish deeper. He rarely liked shore fishing, unless there were young fish schooling. They'd collect under tree limbs overhanging the water, waiting for insects or small frogs. They tasted better than older fish, less pollutants in their system.

"I suppose. It would be good to make sure that he knows that lunch will be served soon if he is still in there, anyway." Ruko agreed with the plan, turning into the corridor he knew would lead to the library. The girls meeting the beasts, huh? I wonder how they will take it. He really wasn't confident, but Zack was probably right. There wasn't much to be done about it.

Approaching the library door, he opened it and held it for his brother so he wouldn't have trouble with his painting. When he took a moment to look around the room, he could see all the books and everything else where it normally was, but he couldn't see Rex. "Did he leave already?"

I glanced back at him, nodding along slowly as his cool persona began to unravel, much to my delight. Kevin, was it? No.. Klaus? No.... Ah. Kyle. Yes, that was it. I was slightly embarrassed by his revelation. Joking, huh? Well, he'd seemed pretty serious at the time. However, I shrugged of my slight embarrassment, and replaced it with a dubious expression. Rex? Oh, his brother. Duh.
I opened my mouth to excuse myself, when he cut me off once more, quickly changing the subject in a manner quite random.

"Do you like to read?"

I glanced again at the book in his hand, before allowing my eyes to flicker once more back to his. My eyebrow rose slightly, but I answered in a kind enough tone. "Yeah... why do you ask?"

Okay, perhaps I was being a little too nonchalant. In reality, I adored reading. It had always been an escape for me, as cheesy as that might sound. Ugh, that sounds way to saccharine. I just like reading, okay?

Nina tried to figure out if she turned left here... or was it right? Maybe she wasn't here before...? She tried to remember her path from her room, but it was useless. She had only succeeded in getting far more lost than she had been before. She was about to try and find the parlor and the boys to ask for directions when the boy who introduced himself as Inigo before approached her and asked if something was wrong. "Oh, um..." Nina half didn't want to admit that she was lost on her first day, but she didn't have a choice, "I was trying to go to the kitchen but... I got a little lost..." she played with her hair as she spoke, twisting some of the longer strands to try and not look too embarrassed. Not to mention she'd just said she'd help Val to the best of her ability too... her first day wasn't going smoothly as she hoped it would be...

"Ah, so it's the way, is it? Well, allow me to help you find it again. Please follow me." Inigo states as he turns around and begins walking back the way he came, but making slight changes in his path as he is guided by the steadily increasing noise of the kitchen until it was loud enough to hear from a nearby door, shadows seen moving underneath the door and the other collective noises of food being cooked and prepared. "Well, here we are. Now that's left to do is open the door..." Inigo states, smiling at Nico. He then turned to begin wandering the halls once more, but paused before he could even move an inch. "No need to worry. The other employees had the same navigation troubles in their first few days. Just give it time. Soon enough, you'll know these hallways like the back of your hand. Of course, that doesn't mean you can't ask for some help every now and then...there are just some things you can't face alone..." Inigo spoke those last words as if he had just relived a terrifying event in his life, but his manner and tone with which he spoke did not change at all, seeming to always have that happy-go-lucky charm about him. He then simply walks off, rounding the corner and continuing his journey down the lengthy hallways, partially lost in his own thoughts.

"Looks like we missed Rex but have found Kyle and one of the girls."Zack told him. He walked over to the two with his newst masterpiece. He turned the large picture to them so that they could see what he had created. "What do you think of my new piece. I haven't thought of a name yet. Any suggestion?"

Nina was grateful that she'd managed to run into someone who knew the castle well. Perhaps... under this guise she could investigate the castle more as time went on? She'd have to do it soon though, as after a week the excuse, 'I got lost' might start to wear a little thin, and she didn't want to appear airheaded in front of her new employers. Soon enough they reached the kitchen, and Inigo even opened the door for her. "Thank you very much, Mister Inigo sir." Nina heard his tone change somewhat presumably in reference to an event that had happened earlier in his life. Then he was gone again, almost skipping down the halls as if he wasn't cursed to live in a castle for some reason. Everyone here is insane...

Marlix walked himself to the library, remembering that there was a constellation out tonight but not remembering which one. He adjusted his shirt and walked over to his personal little section, filled with astrology books and other scientific journals. He picked out a book, sat himself down, and started reading

Allie tested the sturdiness of the dock, suspiciously putting all of her weight on one foot. Confident that it was built properly, she walked down it until she reached the edge, staring out across the lake. "Did you build this? I'm impressed by how nice it is." She looked back at Rex, smiling.

Rex nodded. "I like working with my hands," he answered. "Building, writing, stuff like that." He gave Allie a pole. "Mind the hook."

Allie nodded, carefully taking the pole. She studied it for a moment. "So, you just put the bait on the hook and toss it in, right?" she half-joked, not entirely sure what she was doing.

Ruko looked over at Marlix as he entered the library and made himself comfortable, seeming to have noticed neither his nor Zack's presence. Was he still distracted? "Hello, Marlix! Zack's been working on a new painting, and he wanted some opinions." He attempted to greet the older brother, hoping that he wasn't too lost in his reading to hear him. "What do you think of it?"

Marlix lifted his head "Painting? What painting" He asked, only hearing a part of that sentence"

"The one I made of our meeting." Zack told him proudly. "Now our meeting the girls for the first time can displayed so that we can always remember it." he turned the cavaos so that Marlix could see his perfect replication of what had happened earilier. "what do you think?"
