SueSue woke up groggily and almost felt beaten where she did not want to get up. She still remembered Mimic’s words with absolute detail, down to the tonal variations of his voice:
“Look, I'm not trying to be harsh; all I'm trying to say is that you can't be a one trick pony.”She was not one to give up; it was not in her nature to give up on people and herself for faults and bad nature. Sue only cried because even though she knew that she was developing her control and skills with her ability, she knew she wasn’t developing into a hero. Her focus was in the right direction, but it wasn’t wide enough to make room for progression of her being.
”Step by step. It’s just like doing the waltz. I mastered that; I can master this.” She felt a pang of energy hit her, a revelation for room for improvement, and the sharp chill from the weather as she threw away her sheets. She slept in her dress, her hair a mess, her makeup stained along the direction from where her tears fell last night. She woke up just in time for breakfast and class but wanted to make time for her to hit the gym later on. She stripped herself, shivering violently to the freakish cold winter and ran straight to the shower.
After getting changed into one of her
, she aimed to get to the cafeteria, but through a path which passed the car park.
The carpark was not very busy – only a few cars were passing in and out, looking for spaces in the gigantic field of vehicles. She suddenly remembered one of her first friendly dance battles. She danced fluidly yet robotically at the same time on a piece of cardboard as they blasted
Berzerk by Eminem. Her street-rep was incredible for a mute girl, who almost dominated at the game of breakdancing and popping.
As she walked in the middle of a lane where the cars drove, she saw rose petals, broken alcoholic beverage bottles and what looked like a used condom and remembered that it was the Valentine’s Day ball last night, though that was not her night: Her night was with Anthony, the well-groomed man, and herself in a get-up she would only put effort into doing if she were into something important or she liked. She liked dancing with Anthony.
She could understand why Anthony was not liked by many of her schoolmates, but they never saw what she saw last night and they did not feel what she felt last night with Anthony. She did not fear for her life or find the entrance dubious or awkward. She thoroughly
loved being close with Loverboy.
”Why not?” she thought to herself, catching herself smiling mischievously on a car side mirror. She liked the idea of being with Anthony. Only time will tell.
She decided to break into dance for memory sake and her giddy mood of what could potentially be being more than friends with Anthony.
”And today’s song choice is…” Still Into You – ParamoreShe broke into her active choreography that partly resembled jazz funk and ballet. She was flying all over the lane, and acted completely girl. She performed cartwheels and spun on her palms. She twirled her hair sexily accentuated her curves and booty.
Past the chorus, she caught the eyes of Anthony, who’d apparently been parked in front of her. Her eyes shot open in shock and she froze in place. She grinned for a second and ran off to the cafeteria.
Her face was red and hot as blood rushed to her cheeks in embarrassment. She quickly grabbed as much food as she could to her tray. She sat outside again in her usual table top and ate. She did see Katherin, and ran to her side, tapping her shoulder to hopefully have her sit with her outside.
