”I don’t want to get caught, and I don’t want you get caught too.” her concern for the both of them alarmed even Sue herself.

”But… I have an idea on who we can bug… but I don’t know…”

Anthony shakes his head, "I wasn't talking about the bug. I meant my offer to make you new headphones. Connor agreed to assist me if you want them."

”Oh! Of course! Well… you see Anthony, my headphones are already pretty rad. While that surely is an upgrade, I haven’t seen a need for it yet. It’s still sweet though, and perhaps in the future I might? Who knows?”

She placed her hands on his, and rubbed them softly, ending with a smile.

”Excuse me, gotta pee.”

She left for the girls’ toilet.

"We don't know anything about other places. I don't like seeing people hurt." Zack rubbed his head uneasily. He didn't know why it bothered him so much. He knew Mimic was only hurting the students to help them learn. It was pleasure the intructor got that rubbed Zack the wrong way.

"I try to avoid hurting peoole wjere I can" kalinda said softly, "or seeing others hurt. As for Mimic, well...I think he enjiys it because he feels stronger, like he has protected somethingm if that makes sense, the sadness that made him break down the other day? Thats the kind of sadness you get when you didn't protect someone you cared about"

Kat spent the class as usual, half watching the screen but also watching the students in the room. Fighting was predictable and repititive, people were never so disappointing. The amount who didn't see through Mimic was though, why do people have this ingrained blind respect for authority? Maybe she 'd have to make good on that 'mindless drone' promise one day.

"There is no excuse to be a bully. Defeating us to make himself feel bigger is bullying. We have all been hurt. We have all failed to protect someone. Those are excuses nothing more." Zack said angrly. Zack had never been angry at anyone before.

"And yet, they are making us stronger. Look at some of these students, do yku honestly think they were this strong when they first came here?" Kalinda said, "we are the next generations of supers. This is just his way of doing it. Please, calm down" her hands had started to shake, and she crossed her arms to hide this, her voice becoming monotonous.

Griffin knew Zack had had enough. As much as he wanted to watch Estella Zack couldn't handle it. i will watch her. You rest. griffin shoved Zack into lock down. Instantly the angry and fear Zack had been feeling was gone. "We are sorry. I should not have allowed Zack to watch, but I thought his perspective would be helpful, but it stirs thing that are best left alone."

Kalinda took a few deep steady breaths. "No, its okay. All imwanted to do was reassure him, but it looks like I am as lousy at that as I am everything else"

"You did fine. Zack is emotional. That is why he needs me." Griffin said gruffly. "Everything you said is true and once Zack calms down he will apologize. No one is to blame for him being upset but me. I knew Mimic's methods would upset him, especially if Mimic chose someone we knew. I should have locked him away when Estella's name was called."

Kalinda frowned, "you are strange beings. You can force one of you into...co finement?"

"Yes. There are things we can not handle. To protect ourselves and each other we created a place in our minds. When one of us is there we can not, see, hear,or feel what is happening. Zack spend much more time in lockdown the I, especially since we have come here."Griffin explained.

Kakinda tried to image this and couldnt, but maybe it was something she could do with her emotions, "huh" she said "So, you are kind of like the id and ego? Zack is more emotional, you are more,,, adapted, stable. More about survival?" Kalina asked

"Zack is our emotions and our thinker. I am our strength. We have survived before. We can survive again." Griffin explained. "I can not do what Zack does and he can not do what I do. We balance each other. Mostly we work together but sometimes we must go it alone."

"Still, must be nice to always hve someone there" kalinda said softly

"Yes." Griffin easily agreed. " it is nice to know that Zack will always be with me and that I will always be there for him. But it is also hard. Not many people want to be friends with a crazy guy."

Since Mimic was waiting on her Estella pulled back her hand and threw a ball of fire. The attack moved around wildly making its way toward Mimic. While that was in route she concentrated on moving the air around her. Not being the greatest fighter she was going to have to rely on her powers. Even then she doubted she yet had the skill to stop him. Hopefully an oppotunity would present itself.
