As soon as she realised she had misjudged the nature of the accident she dropped the gossipy tone. "I'm sorry, I can't say I'm surprised.. but I am sorry." It was probably clear that his death didn't really mean anything to Kat but to her credit she didn't let it show. Even if he meant nothing she had known John long enough to know he was worthy of respect and Mimic long enough to know he most certainly wasn't. "Do you want me to stab the bastard? Because if so, it's a burden I'll bear for the greater good." There was a threat of a smile at the end which made it hard to tell whether it was a joke or honest offer.

John shakes his head with a small smile and says, "No, I already got my payback. That day after school, I jumped him and literally tore him a new one, if you catch my drift. The lucky bastard picked up my healing abilities though, and was better by the next day." He chuckles, "I got one hell of a beating when he started classes again the next week, but it was so worth it."

Ben nods with a grin, "Oh, so he's your knight in shining armor? That's so sweet."

Katherin blushed and then smiled brightly. She had a nickname! She could hardly wait to tell her dad. "I don't mind. In fact I like Kathy. Jack swept me off my feet after that disastrous simulation."

He should have given her a nickname. Stupid Jack. "Oi! I'm not a dope. I'm just dense. " He joked as Ben talked. "So you want me to call you Kathy? " He asked feeling stupid for not thinking of it. He found it funny that he had literally swept her off her feet. "Hey want to help me test my webs tonight? We could go out in the town. " He asked her out on another date. Might as well. He smiled slightly to himself.

Sure that line made her sound like a hooker. She had heard a hooker say a line like that once. "I haven't been to town since I arrived. I would love to go to town with you." Way to go Kathy just keep digging the hole. Katherin thought to herself.

She gave a wry laugh. "I should have known really, what with your propensity to avoiding starting fights. I suppose I was just hopeful to have an excuse, oh well, I'm sure he'll give me one soon enough." With him walking already on such thin ice there must be a way to send him crashing through it surely, though a vengeful madman with too much time on his hands may not be a better alternative.

Ben focuses on his cereal, allowing Jack and Katherine to make their plans.

John laughs, then continues to eat his breakfast, blissfully unaware of the awkward silence he was creating. After a couple of minutes, he finishes his breakfast and asks, "Hey Kat. Do you ever think about what you're going to do once you're too old to attend here as a student? I know that we're not the closest of friends, but you're one person that I would not want to have to fight."

Anthony finishes taking his shower as he hears the TV begin to blare. He quickly shaves and gets dressed in blue jeans and a black T-shirt. He finds Sue and signs, "Good morning. I can either make you a quick breakfast, or we can eat at the Academy. It's up to you."

Sue signed back: ”Let’s eat at the Academy!” She ran up to the floor where the shower was, relying on memory from the Hulk simulation. She got to the front door and it automatically swung open. She stripped off everything and stood in the mirror in her underwear. After a quick evaluation with a spin, she stepped into the shower.

A good fifteen minutes later with thorough drying, she got out in her underwear to Anthony’s room, clueless as to where he was. Though Sue knew that he’d be a gentleman and not try to catch a peek, she would still not mind if Anthony looked. She liked a little danger like that, but it was a bit admittedly foolish of her.

She didn’t want to wear her worn clothes, so she looked through Anthony’s wardrobe and found some clothing too big for her. She determined that she could wear her jeans again, but for the top she got out this only large long-sleeved polo shirt and put it on. The sleeves were longer than her extended fingers and the hem of the shirt could have served as a dress for Sue just on its own. She didn’t bring a bag or a beanie, but she did bring some hair pins. She expertly gathered her hair around and into a ponytail, revealing her blond hair underneath the crimson red mat of hair.



She would have to explain to Anthony that she had to leave her clothes in the bathroom for now. She hurried to the living room to see Anthony who was standing outside by the car.

As she walked towards the car, she signed ”I’ll get my clothes back later! I hope we’re not late!”

" He said wistfully. He was excited. "So what do you think we are doing today? Dodgeball? Another course?" He asked wondering what they would do today. That and he would be distracted all day.

"Anyway" Kalinda said "we have to survive whatever hell thy have for gym now that dodgeball a over soon" she said

Connor grabbed some breakfast, sitting at his usual table, knowing sooner or later Austin would come around.

While Sue was taking a shower, Anthony takes the time to pull out his laptop and check up with various "associates" and see how their respective "business ventures" were progressing. After about fifteen minutes, he hears the bathroom door open, and immediately shuts off his laptop, but doesn't close it. He glances to speak to Sue, but quickly averts his gaze when he sees that she isn't dressed. However, as Sue climbs the staircase leading to the upper floor of the house, Anthony takes the opportunity to enjoy the view of Sue's rear end in the flawless reflection of his laptop screen. Once Sue is out of sight, Anthony feeds his pets their breakfast, then washes his hands and waits by the car.

He nods in understanding and opens the passenger door, then says, "I could always bend a few laws and get us to school on time. The ride would be rather loud, though."

"I'm looking forward to it." Katherin replied with a smile. "I'm sure gym will test us in some way. We've done strangth and stimuna, maybe team work or flexibility. Gym is one of my favorite classes."

"Gym doesn't worry me. It's an interesting class."Zack replied. He wondered what they would do in gym. Hopefully something he could participate in. Zack really didn't want to spend the whole day in lock down. There are other classes and lunch. I promise it won't be the while day. Griffin reassured Zack.

Others may have found it awkward but she it was much preferable to the idle chat many would have insisted on filling the gap with and she was content to watch the world whir around her with people rushing to and fro in the urgency they all seemed to have. At his question she turned her attention back to him and laughed. "Do I have any grand designs on the universe, you mean? I have no desire for a throne and even if one day I did I would not turn to here; this is not a realm I have any sentiment for." She said languidly. "Though you obviously want to be the hero, but you don't seem to fit the archetype."

”Let’s not.”, pointing to her ears. ”Let’s just get there!”

John frowns a little as he asks, "What do you mean? I help people all the time, and my strongest power is my ability to heal others!"

”I think we’re up for PE, so it should be fine!” She darted out of the car before turning back almost immediately. She leaned in and kissed Anthony in the cheek and pinched it hard. ”I did, too.” she signed.

She sprinted to the gym, hoping to catch Professor McCoy before he arrived.

"Are there any sports or games you are familiar with?" Zack asked. " I hope in spring we will have some track events."

"I like playing tennis. Can play it solo, which is good for me at least" Kalinda said, "I don't mind running, but I'm better long distances then short. Not good for track"

"I'm not implying you're evil to the core, gods, I'm just saying you don't seem as naively blinded by the world, upon other things. Or maybe I'm wrong." She said with a shrug, standing up and smoothing down her clothes. "I'll see you later." And with that she turned and walked back into the school.

Anthony, not one to rush for anyone, casually strolls to the gym, looking just as confident in his casual clothes as in his usual suits.

Ben finishes his cereal and stands while saying, "Kathy, it was nice to finally meet you. Jack, I'll see ya later."

John watches as Kat walks away, and wolf whistles, then calls after her, "See ya later Kitten, stay sexy." He stands and disposes of his trash in a nearby trashcan, then enters the gym through a side door.

When John enters, he's greeted by the sight of a humongous wall. After making his way around it, he realizes that it's a rock climbing wall. He groans, "Of course we have this while I don't have my powers."
