Once convinced that he had perfected his notes and sketch of the weapon, he folds the papers up and sticks it in his pants pocket. Deciding to show it to Kraven later that day, he exits his room in the usual way, then heads to the cafeteria.

After finishing his laps, John takes a quick shower in the locker room, then grabs his usual omelet from the cafeteria. Then, instead of eating it at a table, sits outside to eat.

Jack woke up looking rather terrible. Hell he felt terrible. His hair was messed up and he looked still sick, That and he was very hungry. He looked around and grabbed some clothes. He put his shirt and jeans on when he noticed them. A pair of bumps on his arms. He knew what this meant. His father had told him what to look for. It was organic webslingers. To test it he fired a web at the wall. It flew from his hands and hit the wall. He had to show this to Katherin. Maybe not Ben since he did not have his yet. He ran out the door and swung off with his new slingers. It was not as smooth as usual. He eventually found her. He figured she would notice the lack of slingers. "Hey. Uhh sorry about last night. I think I know why I was feeling ill..." He said figuring she could figure out why. "I think I got new powers last night."

"Wow that is awesome."Katherin smiled. "Are you feeling better now?

"I am sort of freaked out honestly. I miss having my webslingers. Hey! How about we see how good I am at them." He said grabbing Katherin gently. "Hang on." He said firing off a web and pulled them up. "I am so hungry though." He said swinging towards the cafeteria.

"Hey! Warn a girl." Katherin says with a laugh before wrapping her arms around Jack's neck. She was glad to see that Jack was feeling better. She had been so worried about him. "Breakfast sounds good,"

It took him a minute before they got there. He landed with a bit of a flourish. He smiled. 'yes it does right now. I love doing that. Why would I warn you. It's more fun this way." He said laughing. He saw Ben walking towards them. Well might as well tell him. "Uhh Hey Ben. Well last night I.. I got my organic webslingers last night." He said gently. He had no idea how his brother would react.

The ever-present smile faded from Ben's face for a moment, but then reappears, albeit not as wide. "That's great little bro, you're finally growin' up! Have you tested how strong the webs are yet?"

"He swung us here from the girls dorm." Katherin replied shyly from Jack's side. She hadn't really met Jack's brother yet. She wondered what Ben thought of their relationship.

Jack knew his brother well enough to notice the smile fading. He let the little bro slip. "Not yet... Just got them after all. " He scratched the back of his head. This could be bad. He getting them before Ben. What if Ben was angry because of it? Jack would have been if the tables had been reserved. Maybe not though. Ben was technically the oldest right? "Ben... I. Maybe if mine came in, yours will come in soon." He wanted to talk for real with Ben. "How do you feel about this?" He asked wanting a real answer. He put his arm around Katherin's shoulder. He knew Ben approved of them right? It was Ben. "I still have control and it held me and Katherin up. SO that is pretty strong right?" He asked smiling at Katherin. It was nice to have her next to him right now.

Ben scratches his chin and looks slightly off to the side before answering with a smile, "No, really. I'm happy for ya. If I were you though, I'd try to find out exactly how much stress your webs can put up with." He grins at Katherine and says, "Katherine, right? I have heard a lot about you."

Katherin blushes shyly.She was glad to see that Jack's brother seemed to be alright with their relationshop. She didn't know how she would have handled thing if Ben had been against the two of them being together. "Good things I hope."

"Of course it is all good things!" Jack said laughing. He still thought something was off with Ben. He knew his brother. Some people said twins could sense stuff like that. He decided to let it go for now. "I am not that bad. Of course I'm going to check." He said smiling. "Hey maybe we all should go get some breakfast together? Unless you are meeting someone." Jack said slightly hopeful but it was not showing. He would have to talk to Ben maybe a bit later make sure this was not an act.

Ben chuckles, "Nope, not meeting anyone. I think I will join you if you don't mind."

When she was dressed, prepared and everything that needed feeding had been fed she gave her cat one last stroke before disappearing, and reappearing at the school. Standing still for a second she took a breath and then shook herself before walking into the school. For lack of a better idea she headed towards the canteen - if anything interesting was going to be happening this time of day it was going to be here.

However as always it had the buzzing energy of many students so she headed straight through and back outside again. Spying John she went over and sat by him. "This school truly has not changed. I mean, you're still picking fights, people still tremble in fear at Bats and Mimic is still.. well, Mimic. And I've already seen a room destroyed. Different students yet the exact same story." She thought aloud.

John laughs, "I have no idea what you're talking about. I never pick fights." His chuckle fades as he remarks, "You may not have noticed, but Mimic is holding back more than he used to. After the 'accident' with Plastic Man's son, Batman started placing more restrictions on what can and can't be done."

Jack clapped Ben on the back looking happy. "Great! Well then let's go!" He said walking with them into the cafeteria. Jack broke off and grabbed a bit more food then usual. Maybe it was a price for having the organics. He needed more calories since his body was making more. He most likely looked odd.

"Whether you start them or not, you're very good at participating." She retorted with a smirk. "Accident? Pray, tell more." She said, practically lighting up. "I really doubt he took that well, the satisfaction he got from beating up students was pathetic." She hadn't kept her feelings towards the teacher a secret.

Katherin followed Ben and Jack hanging back a bit to give the brothers a chance to talk. She looks around the room hoping to see her friends. She missedPhoebe. She wanted to tell her about the dance and Ben's approval, but that would have to wait. Maybe Sue would show up before class. They hadnt had a chance to really talk in the last couple of days. Katherin grabbed foods at random, so deep in thought she wasn't really paying attention.

John's gaze lowers as he says, "Mimic really overestimated how much of Plastic Man's regeneration factor Collin had. Long story short, Mimic froze Collin then shattered him." He looks back at Kat, pain obvious in his expression and continues, "When I began training to be a hero, I knew on some level that one day I might lose a friend. I just never thought that it'd be a teacher that caused the death."

Ben grabs a simple bowl of oatmeal and sits at a table before asking Katherine, "So Kathy, do you mind if I call you that? How did a beautiful girl like you end up with a dope like Jack?"
