Jack
"You know I have to be better. That's what this is about. I suppose you’re right though. I do need to learn. It's damn unfair I was chosen first. No chance to study him. You think you might beat him?" Jack asked.
The poor boy, Sue sympathized. She remembered the times where she went for auditions. You could never tell what the judges particularly liked so there was no real advantage to going first or last, whether you were boring or impactful. It was nerve-racking, but it was a fear that Sue had pushed aside long ago. The numerous contests she’d join, just auditioning alone, was more than enough to pump up her courage and perform live. She was good at it, making an effort to put on a good show for the people by living in it. Being in the moment, some would say. As if, Sue would become a different person every time she stepped up to the plate.
This was different though. The judge, per se, was attacking you head-on, testing you on your capabilities. She could wow an audience with her artistic talents but trying to wow Mimic with an ability she had no control over would be another thing. The only thing she could really rely on was her music, and for the first time in a long time, she was nervous.
Sue sought to approach Jack, who had attracted a number of people to his spot, the sociable boy. Sue, the little girl, found an empty face and looked at Jack:
“Hey, you,” with a warm smile and squinted eyes,
“That was cool, what you did.” She did not pay attention to what the other people had to say about Jack. He did great, for a scrub, she joked in her mind, a tease she wouldn’t want to let out to the grumpy Spideyboy.

Austin
Austin jumped up," I'll go!" He popped his neck, taking off his shoes. He extended his claws then relaxed them and headed over to the door. He gathered that had a bit more experience with his powers then others, due to all of his powers being related to himself constantly. He walked over to the door, running his tongue over his teeth.
Eyes again were on the TV, and wanting to keep Jack company, Sue sat on top of his desk, to the side so to let him see. She watched as the two go at it, the tiger and the bird, almost. But what followed freaked Sue out.

Mimic
Mimic groans as his wings are clawed, sending a deluge of feathers to the ground. He shakes Austin off and turns on him. "Well done." he says, "Want to know my power? I assume the powers of anyone around me." He pauses and grunts in pain as claws grow out of the end of his fingers, and his teeth sharpen. He growls and starts circling Austin. "Make a move."
Sue turned to Jack,
“I think we’re all doomed come my turn,” face in shock, flat of emotion. This did not bode well for her.
