Jack clearly wasn't going to listen. Were they actually in a military unit she would have reprimanded him for insubordination. But that wasn't the case and she sawpeople already moving out on their own. What happened to sticking together? Turning and going to the exit she saw no point in wasting time and being a sitting duck. "Choose your poison people. Try not to stray from your group."

"I had a plan to act but it was deemed not worthy. Katherin. I am going off. If you want to stay with the group then you should. You will be safer." Jack said sighing. Even his girlfirend was against him. "So what? None of you will help me? I know what I am doing." He said sort of getting angry.

Ryan nodded. "Then we go together. You fly after me. We should be able to get there." he said motioning for the door.

"Right then. We can get the communicators and be back, I reckon I have enough for everyone" Connor said, hoping he did.

"Give us give minutes if we aren't back, then something's happened" he waited for any objections

Estella shook her head to the group planning to go for the communicators. "You shouldn't go off on a mad dash without knowing what we are up against. If you get jumped then were down people. There are too many unknowns to make that risk. We may more slower but we stand a better chance of standing without splitting up further."

All of this was way over Maxine's head. She was torn between the two trying to decide. But she didn't want Jack going alone so she joined him. " I'll go with you."

Kalinda with a sigh, looked about as she floated in the air. Nothing seemed amiss, apart from the lack of people and someone hunting them. She stayed near the gym, waiting for any plan or sogn

'Well we know there is a speedster. And someoneone who is an expert at controling plants. Two unknowns gone. I got beaned by a tree while chasing the speedster." Ryan said shrugging. He nodded to Connor. "Let's go." He said running out the door fast enough for him to keep up flying.

Jack smiled slightly. One person would work. He doubted he would get much more than that. he was okay with it. "Thanks. Estella you will need scouts or someone to watch your backs."

Griffin takes to the air trying to stay where he can see everyone. It seemed no one could agree where to go or what to do. They lacked leadership and that was going to hurt them. He was reconsidering taking the boys suggestion. Atleast if he had agreed they would have a leader and direction. Now everyone seemed to be fending for themselves.

With a sigh Katherin left the gym. She admired Jack for wanting to take the leadership role, but splitting their strength didn't feel like the best idea. As much as she wanted to support Jack in his leadership role, she wasn't going to agree with something that felt wrong. She stood outside waiting for the others to decide what they were doing.

"Damn" Connor headed outside, shutting his helmet.

He couldn't help but think this was a wrong choice. He would have to find everyone after if they were all going off, and give them a communicator.

"They are all splitting up" Kalinda said to Griffin "i don't know what to do" maybe she should just hide in the shadows

While the bickering goes on, Anthony signs to Sue, "I'll be right back." He casually moves next to Kat and asks quietly so the others wouldn't hear, "You and your father have nearly identical powers, correct? Are you able to control multiple illusions at once? If so, how close to you do they have to be?"

John stands and walks to the arguing students. As he towers over them, his booming voice is even louder than their combined voices while he says, "Can you guys just shut up please? Connor has enough firepower to take care of himself for a while, and if things get ugly, Ryan can quickly run back here to ask for help. Those two go get the communicator things. Kalinda can jump through shadows, so she's pretty much untouchable, right? She can be a scout and try to find out what we're facing. The rest of us go outside and stick together until we know what we're fighting. Anyone have a problem with that?"

Outside in the hallway, the tiles on the floor and ceiling begin to visibly shake and crack as several hundred small, green vines begin to break through them. The vines start to race toward Katherine, growing in length and thickness by the second.

Griffin shrugged. He was not a leader. Without rules he was at a lost as to what to do. He could only do what felt right. "I do not know either. I think our best bet is to keep an eye as many as possible."

Katherin looks at the vines. They were definitely headed right toward her. Only a few people had come outside. Everyone else must be inside arguing. Katherin figured she had two choices. Scream her head off and hope to get the others attention. Or act like a hero and do something. Well now was a good time as any to show that she was capable. Katherin was glad that there was still a chill in the air. She had a feeling she was going to need the boost. Taking a deep breath Katherin started freezing the vines.

Still absent-mindedly twirling the staff and watching the chaos she was suddenly aware of Anthony's hushed voice beside her. She considered what he asked briefly before replying in the same quiet tone. "Multiple illusions, yes. The greater the size the fewer the replications but it is easily within my means. As for distance, well.. nothing unreasonable. It is easier if I can see them but if not a small distance should not be a problem." She finished, listening as John seemed to take the leadership role, or at least try to, these ones did not seem so easily managed.

Kalinda sighed and landed "I'm goings to see if they have come up with anything" she said, wondering just how they were going to get out of this.

"Yah I have a problem with it. You come up and just act in charge. I try to and everyone mauls me. Your plan banks heavily on the notion that whoever it is can not just take us all out at once. But what do I know? You all are so much better than me right. I try to get you all to listen and he comes out of no where." Jack said not even hiding he was pissed off. Yet again. Just the other Parker kid.

Kalinda may have been overwhelmed by the emotions. Maybe not "oh just shut up all of you, bickering like a bunch of old women! In case you haven't noticed, we are in danger here! So get over your petty grudges, and act like a team!" She said storming in the gym room

Austin folded his arms, staring angrily at everyone. He shook his head then walked to the door, pushing out as Kalinda rushed in. He despised this. He would not work with Jack. He was just pissing him off at the point in time. He looked around, listening and smelling the air. He watched the area, taking a deep breath through his nose. He slowly walked, nearly pressed up against the wall, crouched slightly, just watching the area.

John shakes his head, laughing slightly, "If someone is powerful enough to take us all out at once, then splitting up into a bunch of little groups isn't going to help at all. This way, we can keep an eye on each other until we know enough to make a solid plan. To me, it seems you're just being a little bitch and throwing a fit because people won't listen to you."

The vines shatter and crumble into dust before withdrawing. While Katherine's attention is on the dying vines, a mass of weeds begin to form beneath her, just underground.

Anthony nods and asks, "Can you turn invisible? If so, could you form the illusion of say, four of us, walking around outside and follow it, unseen? If the illusion is realistic enough, it might draw the attention of the intruders and cause them to attack. Then, we'd know what we're facing."

Connor started to the male dorms, taking to the air. He glanced around as he flew, letting Ignot take control of the path.

It was eerie the emptiness. He was use to it being full of people.

Sue

Mysterious forces, the slight curiosity of the absence of the teacher, the bickering, miscommunication and disagreements of her fellow students, Sue was left to watch. If this were a test, she’d probably be too slow to understand that it was, and since her leadership skills were only hindered by that of a missing voice, the others took charge, some almost irrationally, competitively ahead of one another. Sue was concerned for the stability of this ad hoc team, and she wanted to communicate this concern to Anthony, but caught the act of Katherin freezing something on the ground as Sue walked outside.

Sue ran over to her and patted on her shoulder:

”What happened? I ju- Oh. Where’d those come from? Aren’t those vines?”

She followed the trail of vines, trying to find its point of origin.
