Austin said," that must be useful. I hate that guy. He sets my fur on end. I've decided to just ignore him so I don't claw his face off." He scowled slightly as shook his head a little, folding his arms. He glanced at Connor's phone as he looked at it but didn't comment, looking around the room a bit.

"He isn't worth the time of day" Connor said "so yes, best to just ignore him" which would be easier, of Anthony didn't make that impossible

Sue stood up from her chair and moved to the door. She opened it and tapped Katherin just on the shoulder.

"You're needed. I have to leave. Good luck." She pinched her shoulder, as to say an affirmation, to wish her well.

She wondered if she could stay close by, and actually listen in on their conversation; perhaps by planting her ear close to the door. She waited for Katherin to enter, before doing just that.

Once again, John nods, "Oh, ok then, See ya tomorrow Shorty." As he walks away, leaving the water bottle with Kalinda, he thinks angrily, "You're such a dumbass Brock. Standing there nodding your head like a fucking bobblehead!"

Kalinda jogged after him, not really thinking"you forgot your water bottle. You're angry. Come on. I'll treat you to dinner. I'd rather not wonder around like an idiot by myself" she said, "when I really don't want to be spend another night sitting around watching a movie by myself"

Katherin squared her shoulders and took a deep breath before entering the office again. She wasn't sure she wanted to talk to Batman again. Once had been frustrating. A second meeting might lead her to saying something that would get her into serious trouble. This time Katherin waited for Batman to greet her.

When Katherine enters the office, Bruce gestures to an open chair and says, "Welcome back Katherine, please take a seat."

John looks down at Kalinda and smiles slightly as he takes the water bottle. "Thanks, but you don't have to buy me dinner. Hanging out with you will be enough of a treat. Where would you like to go?"

"Yeah I do, since I don't eat meat, plus everyone I've ended up eating with has paid, and I'm starting to think my savings will just sit there" Kalinda said, "There's a good pizza place around. I haven't really been into town"

"We'll discuss who's going to pay later. I need to take a shower, but I can pick you up at your dorm after I'm done. Let's say like, thirty minutes?" John asks.

Bruce folds his hands on his desk and says, "My goal is to convince Phoebe to come back to the Academy. That's why I called Sue and you here. Besides you two ladies, is there anyone else that Phoebe would have a hard time saying no to?"

Kalinda nodded, "Sure" She said, "See you then" and she jogged away, towards the girls dorms.

"Ryan. They were very close before she took off. But convincing him to talk to her could be tricky." Katherin replied. Glad he asked her something she could easily answer.

That went over better than expected. A lot of people didn't believe Maxine when she said she could speak to animals. "I sure can. I think it's the best. I'm glad you like it too." The girl smiled brightly. The people here were different, more accepting of her abilities. Staying was a better idea than she thought.

Devika grinned, showing her dimples. "Well, I'm happy you're not freaking out about me being an empath. People think I'm going to hypnotize them when I tell them what my power is.." She chuckled weakly. "It really doesn't work like that..."

Anthony nods, "As you wish." After thirty minutes of driving, Anthony nudges Kijani slightly and says quietly, "We're here, Ms. Rayne."

Kijani opened her eyes immediately, snapping out of her meditative doze. She looked out the window at Anthony's home, her eyebrows going up. She gave him a mildly impressed look. "All that space and no one to live in it."

After Kalinda jogs away, John drinks the rest of the water bottle as he walks to the locker room. He stores the water bottle in his locker, takes a quick shower, then dresses in some clean gym clothes. He makes his way to the basement of the main Academy building, which is where his "dorm" is. After changing into a pair of his nicer jeans and a T-shirt, John makes his way to the girls' dorms. As he approaches the entrance, he realizes that he doesn't know which dorm is Kalinda's, or if he's even allowed in the building. Unsure of what else to do, he leans against the wall in front of the entrance and waits.

Bruce tilts his head while asking, "And why is that, exactly? If they're close, why wouldn't he want to convince her to come back?"

Anthony parks the car in the driveway and answers nonchalantly as he exits the car, "Haven't you ever heard of planning for the future, Ms. Rayne? I know this might be hard for you to believe, but I would like a family some day. Please follow me." He leads her into the house, the doors unlocking and opening as he nears them. Once in the dining room, he gestures to the table and says, "If you'll have a seat, I'll be back soon. Don't bother trying to go into any other rooms that have a door. The doors are locked and can only be unlocked by people that I've entered into the DNA scanning system." With that, he walks away to gather his notes from his room.

Maxine laughs a bit. "I know what you mean. People think I'm crazy because I talk to animals like I do people."

Kalinda showered, and dressed in jeans and a long sleeved red top.. She took the time to dry her hair, leaving it down, before grabbing her phone, and a small purse. She glanced at the time, frowning slightly.

Griffin was probably the only one who knew which dorm was her. So she headed out, to wait outside. Or she would have, if John hadn't been there. "Okay, ready"
