Kyra got up and decided to just walk around, seeing that she didn't want to go to class.

" Hey what's that?" Flood yelled as he rushed off after a strange fire creature he saw out of the corner of his eyes. He came back five minutes later with severe burns and a clump of red hair. " The Human Torch's daughter really can't take a joke." Flood said in a relatively calm manner.

(Anime, they've just had an announcement that it's lunch :) )

Kat was still practicing throwing knives when she heard the announcement and debated staying out and continuing. This was no real challenge though - trees don't move - so she was only killing time, might as well do so with food. The gold mist cloaked her again and her clothes returned to normal as she walked back into the school, pulling out the ponytail and shaking out her hair.

Walking into the cafeteria she saw how busy it was and sighed. Walking in a way that defied anyone to get in her way she picked up a seafood salad and made her way to an outside table. It was quieter out here, thankfully, and it was nice to get back to the cool air; perhaps she should make a habit of it.

Kyra sighed and stepped into the cafeteria, grabbed some food and went and sat down in a table near a window, gazing out of it, her mind going over a few things as she chewed at some food.

Austin stood up. He was feeling much better that he was earlier. He actually felt he could stomach some food. He took of the amulet, finding it comfortable enough to be back as a tiger. He walked towards the cafeteria, and grimaced immediately at the noise level, and quickly slipping back on the amulet. He might be feeling better, but he didn't feel good enough to handle that noise level at that volume. He quickly got himself some food and water, grimacing at the amount of people, where he walked around till he spotted Kyra and he walked over to her and sat down," hey." He obviously didn't notice her outside, having been nearly oblivious to the things happening around him.

Connor had grabbed some food, and had soon found Kyra and Austin, sitting down with them.

Kyra smiled. "Hey guys." she said, looking over at them.

"I have few can take jokes. In fact we haven't tried since we arrived." Zack said thoughtfully. " Griffin isn't very good at pranks. He is too serious. Perhaps if we work together we could pull one off successfully. "

Anthony shrugs and answers simply, "I'm naturally a very inquisitive man." He takes a few bites of his lunch before asking, "Aren't you romantically involved with one of our classmates? Why hasn't he joined you for lunch?"

Ben nods, "I'm sure she would, most of the teachers seem like they'd do whatever it takes to help us." He falls silent for a moment, then asks, "You seem like you're more likely to become a hero than a villain. How would you deal with a bad guy once you've beaten them?"

Jack wandered into the cafeteria. he had no idea what to do so he figured just getting lunch was the best idea. He grabbed his usual sandwich and sat down at his favorite table. Might as well have some calming idea. Not like his brother wanted to eat people or anything. No he had no gotten over that.

Ryan ran into the cafeteria at his flash speed. He heard Anthony talking about him to Phoebe. Not really polite but whatever. "He had things to do." He said appearing next to the table. "Hey beautiful." He smiled at Phoebe wondering what Anthony was up to. Most likely nothing.

"I have a different class to Ryan before lunch. He normally finds me after class finishes" Phoebe said, shrugged, and started on the yoghurt she had grabbed. She smiled when Ryan appeared, "And speak his name, and he shall appear"

Kalinda thought for a moment, then shrugged, "Wrap them up in shadows, and let the proper authorities deal with them. I'm not going to kill people" She said, "But I honestly don't know which way I'll go, hero or villain"

Nacelle waved at Katherin and got up from her seat as she grabbed a few triangular leaves from her backpack on the way to the food. She grabbed a small bologna sandwich and took a bite of each. The world was much more accurate now, everything was loud and focused, her sense of smell was great too. "This stuff is strong." She whispered to herslef as she went back over to Katherin slightly dazed.

Ryan leaned over and kissed Phoebe gently on the lips. "You know it." He said as he sat down next to her. "sorry what did I miss?" he asked lookign confused like he always did.

"What on Earth is that?" Katherin asked uncertainly. It seemed like Nacelle had just taken a drug of some sort. Katherin looked around for help. She didn't want Nacelle to get into trouble for doing drugs on school grounds. Nor did she want to get into trouble for being with her while she did so. Luckily Katherin didn't see many adults in the lunch room.

"Hmm? Oh yes, I'm sorry. It is a type of herb that enhances your senses. My father took it, I was born with it but it's still traditional." Nacelle sighed and looked around slightly, when she turned back to Katherin she frowned. "I'm sorry to disturb you. You can try if you want. As far as my studies go this has nothing illegal in it."

"I don't think the school would officials would approve of you taking that on school grounds. Traditional or not you might want to ask Batman about that. I can't see them allowing artificial enhancements like that." Katherin stated with a frown.

Nacelle nodded and rubbed her eyes. "I have too, if I don't my dad will chew me out. It's like a medicine to us, it keeps us going. Take it away from me for a week and I'll see how I take it, can you give it back if I feel sick and such? I know that just sounds like withdrawal but I'm not sure it would be." Nacelle handed Katherin a bag full of the leaves and bold writing of how much to take each week, side affects, and a ton of other things written in Afrikaans. "Just throw it out if you want."

With a tilted head, Ben asks, "Why not? Kill them, I mean. That way they're no longer a threat to you or anyone else?"

Instead of answering Ryan's question, Anthony asks his own, "Tell me speedster, what have you learned thus far at the Academy? I've noticed your speed has increased slightly, but other than that, I haven't been paying much attention to your studies."

On a small TV in the corner of the cafeteria, a news reporter speaks, "Lately the Big Apple has seen a rash of particularly gruesome night-time murders. Our sources claim that the suspect leaves this signature written in blood at the scene of each crime:

Furthermore, many of the victims are metahumans or similarly superpowered beings. This may spark an investigation by the staff of the nearby school, Academy of Heroes and Villains. Who is this mystery killer? The product of a controversial school or someone with a vendetta against all superpowered people? We'll bring you all details as they're uncovered."

Katherin shook her head. "As long as the school officials know that you have it, it's none of my business. I would just make that the teachers and principle know you have it. I haven't seen anyone else with stuff like that so I don't know what the rules are. I would hate for you to be kicked out or suspended because of a misunderstanding."

Kijani filled her tray with lots of food (most of it protein and veggies) and joined Connor and the others outside. She caught the TV news out of the corner of her eye, the word 'Thanatos' burning itself into her memory. It sounded foreign, and yet somehow familiar. She'd have to look it up.

Devika settled with her plate in the far corner of the cafeteria. There was an odd feeling in the air, one she couldn't place. She just didn't know what to do about it besides ignore it. She attempted to do so while she ate.
