[Flood]

Flood was on a new line of thinking. Maybe it was someone from the academy who www Thanatos. He needed to talk to Mimic. He walked up to Power Devolpment class and knocked on the door hoping Mimic was there.

Devika felt a sudden peal of genuine enjoyment from a few tables down, and turned her head. It was like catching a whiff of nice perfume in an otherwise boring day. A dimpled grin crossed her face in response. It was nice to feel some happiness. She looked around in that direction, trying to pinpoint it. Judging by the expressions and postures of the other students... the only one who seemed that happy was... who was the brunette again... Anthony Luthor. Interesting. She'd always seen him as fairly reserved... But apparently even that kind of person had to loosen up every once in a while.

Kyra stood up, not looking at the others. "I'm gonna go..." she muttered, grabbing her barely eaten food, tossing it into the trash, and walking out. She began to just wander, not really caring where she ended up or who she ran into.

Barbara Gordon announces over the PA, "Attention students: classes will resume in twenty-five minutes."

Ben sits down at a table and begins expertly peeling the boiled crawfish then separating everything on the platter into three groups. One pile had nothing but the tail meat, one had the shells from the tails, and the last was comprised of claws and heads. While he works, Ben asks Kalinda, "I know you're pretty new, but how many people have you gotten to know so far and what are your impressions of everybody in our group?"

While walking in Devika's direction, Anthony notices that she's staring at him with a smile on her face. Remembering that she's an empath, he decides to try something he had been working on at home. He closes his eyes for a moment, then opens them, revealing steely grey irides. The change in color lasts merely a few seconds before Anthony's eyes revert to their usual brown. Before passing Devika, Anthony smiles and winks knowingly, then continues on his way.

Devika blinked a few times, completely confused, as the happy feeling suddenly went dead. It was like someone flipped a switch and replaced the happiness with... well, nothing. Nothing that she could feel, anyway. And then it was back. Devika continued to watch Anthony pass by, and couldn't help but wink back at him as her grin broadened. That was an impressive trick- their powers seemed to affect the same things, but in clearly different ways. Even knowing that, she couldn't help but wonder if that sort of thing was teachable...

[Flood]

Mimic hadn't been there so Flood had broke into the room and looked through the files of aliases any of the students had come up with. He found very interesting information that he was puzzling out right now. 'Ben Parker, chosen alias 'Thanatos'. This is a very interesting lead and if I'm correct in my line of thinking I may have found the culprit. I need to find Ben and question him. What do you think guys?' He asked the voices in his head as he sorted through the answers that made sense. The most common suggestion was to find Ben and question him before he did anything else. Flood saw Ben at a table and sat down with him. "I never properly introduced myself. I'm Flood, the assistant for Mr Roger's hand to hand class and fellow student. I know who you are obviously but I don't know anything about you." He said as he took out an apple from his backpack and began munching.

Ben looks at Flood with an eyebrow raised while saying, "If you don't know anything about me, then you don't know who I am. Knowing my name isn't the same as knowing me." Ben looks at Kalinda apologetically then turns back to Flood. "Look man, I pride myself on being friendly, but you're being extremely annoying so you're making it really hard," he continues with a sigh.

"Sorry I guess. Being the son of Deadpool doesn't make me very at good socializing. I do know you're the son of Spider-Man, but that's about it. My dad knew your dad, so I figured you should be someone I should know as well." Flood said apologetically as he rubbed his head in embarrassment. He then took out another apple and offered it to Ben. "Can we start over? I'm Flood, you are?" He asked as he held out the apple.

"Youre weird" Kalinda said letting down her emotional blocks slightly and shaking her head as she sat and ate her salad. "I've mainly spent my time with Griffin and Zack, besides you and John" she added to Ben

Jack walked back to the cafeteria. He noticed the weird guy sitting with Ben. Socializing time. He sauntered over and sat down. "Stupid me. What are we talking about?"He asked the group. Something was off about this guy. Might as well try to distract him. “what's up with that meeting?"He asked like it was nothing.

Ben takes the apple from Flood's hand, sets it down on the table, and shakes Flood's hand instead. "Ben." He tilts his head and asks Kalinda, "So just three people? You should really branch out. There's a girl named Katherine, she's Jack's girlfriend. Pretty cool chick."

"I've spoken with her. Ice queen, right?" Kalinda said, "she is nice. And I've spoken with Devika too, but that never went anywhere. And there was a few others" she shrugged, "I'm happy where I am at the moment"

Ben finishes up his meal and shrugs as he wipes his hands and face with a napkin. "Guys are less drama, I suppose." He stands, picks up his platter, and says, "Well next class is only a few minutes away. We might as well start walking over there."

Kalinda quickly finished her salad and nodded rising "right" she agreed, putting her rubbish away. "Guys aren't less drama. I just get on with them better then girls it seems"

Phoebe sighed, and stood "we should head to class" she said to Ryan, picking up her pack.

[Flood]

"I have free period right now so I might as well come with." Flood said as he got up and followed them.

Jack nodded. He had no idea what class was next? Would he still have to do his traning session? I know we have power development now. Might as well get there." He figured that was the case so he waved to the group. "See you guys later. Gotta go do somethings. " He said smiling as he turned and ran off to get to Mimic's class.

Ryan nodded. He had chemistry now. "Yah we should get going. I think we have chemistry next? Or was it power development? I am all confused right now." He said laughing."Oh right it's power development. Wonder what Mimic is up to today. Some wicked no doubt..."

Katherin wondered about the new girl. But decided not to worry about the stuff in the bag was. Either school officials knew or they didn't. Katherin wasn't going to worry about it. Right now she needed to worry about getting to power development.

Zack wasn't looking forward to Mimic's class. The teacher was crazy and unstable. Zack wondered if there would be more battles or if they would do something else. The only way to find out was to get to class.

With lunch drawing to a close Kat stood up and dumped what was left of her meal. Walking to class her mind wandered to the broadcast and the staff meeting; there was no doubt they were linked. Could there be a murderer amongst them? Well, a more brazen and current murder anyways. Seeing a figure slumped up ahead she sighed and quickly abandoned that trail of thought. Crouching in front of John she gave him a couple of light slaps on the cheek. "Come on John, wake up. Don't make me carry you."
